This roofer team used a rusty old ladder of mine without permission, they ruined my siding with scratches all over. I paid to have my gutters adjusted and ended up waiting 10 months until the owner finally acknowledged me and sent someone to rectify the problem. I had to have them reshingle my bay window as well duento poor workmanship. I was also promised a manufacturer warranty but that took 11 months and hundreds of messages to Ron the owner. It was a horrible experience. Had they just done the job that I paid for I wouldn't have 11 months of asking the owner to finish the job. It's unacceptable how poor the commutation was and how ignored I felt. I would never recommend this company or give them more work moving forward. BEWARE!!!!

Ron is very knowledgeable and gave us realistic comparisons of various roofing materials (as well as a little history). He warned us that selecting certain colors or styles would take longer to obtain before work could start, but we selected those anyway. The actual installation was very professional and efficient. He recommended different techniques and material based on slope and size of various roof segments. Ron also replaced our antiquated gutters with modern gutters and leaf guards. His price quoted was the actual price I paid when work was done. Overall, I'm very satisfied with Ron and his company.

Shore Lock Homes replaced seven windows including a large bay window. It took a while for the windows to be built but once they were ready the installation team came on schedule and completed the work in two days. They replaced the outside wood window trim on all seven windows with Azek (cellular PVC). I think they look very nice! The cost was very competitive.

It has been a pleasure working with Ron from Shore Lock Homes. This is the 3rd strip and re roof project i have completed with this company. Their workmanship is outstanding, respect property and clean up after completion excellent. I have referred this company to friends and relatives and they all thanked me for a great reference. I recently had the pleasure of working with “Shore Lock Homes” to replace my roof and skylights and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, their professionalism and expertise were evident every step of the way.

Ron Lewis was an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish. We had a bay window installed and he kept us informed throughout the entire process. Ron was able to provide a detailed estimate and fair price using quality material for a roof replacement. The crew was efficient and got the job done in two days. Unfortunately during the project, there was some damage to the property including a fence, screens, and gutters. I tried reaching out a few times hoping for a solution, but never heard back. After my roof was replaced, I had to get another company to fix the gutters and screens.

As other reviews state, it seems like the Company is not concerned about following up or offering solution once they receive payment.

I wanted windows and gutters changed..windows changed..but took my gutters and never replaced them..house sutting with no gutters..called for months..no reply..one day got answer..told to call me back...never did. VERY bad business..not recommended at all..saw my contract said doors instead of gutters...be VERY careful with this company..they do just enough..if that..Good luck with these guys!...scammer..all lies..contract never said take old gutters..why take old gutters..with no intention to replace? Makes no sense..leave my old beat up gutters in place..then try to sell me new gutters..when its already supposed to have been agreed to be replaced..believe me or not..its up to u..be careful..started cussing me out..called me fat..illiterate..dumb..good luck..

Ron put a whole new roof on my manufactured home, he did a fantastic job. I had this done in 2021, no leaks, no problems. i would recommend him as a reliable, professional person for the job. I still speak with him every now and then which is great because usually when a person is done with a job, you never talk to them. i can call him anytime for advice with various jobs. This picture are proof that my roof are leak’s, so I reach out to Ron and he’s staff multiple times for the roof a couple month after the install it roof is leaking . I called left a message nothing being done I have 2 small kids one of them already experience health issue . I shared that with Ron , he didn’t do anything I end up take my kids to urgent care because of this the artic getting mild dew soon will be mold and he still not taking care of it . So my next options now it’s to drag him to the court . Especially with my son health issue .

Back in 2022 of summer they did replacement windows for my entire house. The people they sent to do the installation were rude , stood on top of part of the house crushing the outside of the lower roof bulkhead entrance instead of a ladder. They made a mess leaving nails all over the yard. Ripped off part of my shingling and blamed the windows. Left windows full of yellow gunk that should have been cleaned off and now is stuck on. Main front window is so jammed it doesn’t open all the way and blamed our house even tho the old windows worked fine. Left us with 3 seriously cracked windows for months before replacing them and yet we still have a cracked window. They showed up unannounced expecting us to let them in to work without notice and have left us hanging for months without fixing it. They have been paid in almost full. Very unhappy with this company. Here we are feb 2023 months later still with no fixing. Unbelievable! They haven’t responded in months!Do not use them

Shore lock home is a great company. I needed to have my bedrooms windows fixed. I contacted Ron. He came to see me. I was very happy for the price. His crew came to install 4 windows, frame 12 windows, frame 2 doors and put in a storm door. I am grateful for a job well done. Thanks

It was amazing working with Shore lock home to replace my windows in Wrentham, the windows that I had was very bad and we had Shore lock windows they came behind the expect date due to general shortage but they delivered the windows and installed them properly we couldn’t be more happier in our home now. One important thing Ron will work with you with your budget and get the work done with standard and high quality. It wasn’t expensive at all to get all the windows replaced. If you haven’t done so contact them. For my upcoming home improvement projects, I won’t have to look anywhere else and compare prices, one call will be shore lock home and I know the result will be impressive.

Do not use this company. In May 2019 I made a deposit to Ron Lewis do to my porch to date no work and I have not been able to get my deposit back. Ron has not taken my calls in over 2 years. Check Hingham, MA small claims court as I'm still fighting to get my deposit back. I work very hard to buy and upkeep it. All I need is my deposit back but I can't. He's not even responding to court Judgement. So people do yourself a favor do not use this company, if you decide to do so do not give any money upfront until the job is done.

Ron and his crew at Shore Lock homes replaced my old leaking roof, they were in and out in 2 days, left the job site clean and exactly as it was before they arrived. They did my entire roof for less than half of what some of the other quotes came in at with quality CertainTeed singles with a 50 year transferable warranty....work timeline was well communicated as we were dealing with some rain issues, never a worry in my mind. Great customer service..

His prices are very reasonable, over all we’re very satisfied with the quality of the job. Our roof looks amazing. I have nothing but good things to say about his crew they’re very hard workers.
Every day they were here they make sure everything was picked up before they left.
I was so satisfied with the job that now we’re thinking on doing siding and windows with him.

I will be forever grateful for having met Ron at Shore Lock homes. I desperately needed a new roof as it was leaking in multiple places. I had met with eight companies and I had gotten several quotes that varied tremendously. With such a big purchase it was extremely difficult to decide who was the best for the job. Which was pretty awesome because that meant I could do gutters too! The work was done in three days, my yard was clean, my roof and gutters look amazing and no more leaks!! Ron Lewis and his crew installed a new rubber membrane roof on my East Boston townhouse.
After removing the 3 previous roofs from many previous years, the crew set to work on installing the new rubber membrane. After working until dark they were back next morning and completed the installation by the end of the day. They removed all the construction debris and were, by far, the hardest working crew I’ve ever seen. I was 100% satisfied.
Having used Ron and his company in the past, for triple glazed windows, and for years later, new vinyl siding and shutters I knew the job would be done correctly and to my complete satisfaction. Thank you Ron, Bob and crew for a job WELL DONE !

I'm sorry to say that a top notch roofing job promised did not come to fruition. Ron never once came to the house during the work to check the work. I have a leak from the roof that Ron has not repaired after requesting the repair be fixed more than a dozen times. There are other negative issues I won't get into. I sat with Ron in my house and he looked me straight in the eye promising a top notch job. Well this was not the case. Save yourself the aggravation and spend your money elsewhere. This is a bargain basement operation.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ron and his crew Sure -Lok replaced a roof in my house and the job was very professionally done his prices are second to none the materials were top level materials the job was planned for a specific time and date and Ron kept his word after the crew was finished they cleaned up. Very pleased with Sure-lok will recommend for quality of work at a fraction of the cost.

I am pleased with the results of my new roof & vinyl siding. I am not pleased with Ron Lewis. When the job was finally done, I came home on lunch hour to pay the final payment. He said they were wrapping things up and should be done soon. I paid him in full. When I returned home that evening, the debris was left in my yard, which was part of my contract. I had to pay an extra $375 to get rid of the mess. There were a few times when I needed his help on some issues, I was ignored. He seems like a nice guy, but very lazy. His workers are great, especially the roofers. They did a fab job on my old house. This was back in 2007, so maybe he's more responsible now? Not sure and don't care. I'm giving 2 stars on this review because of the workers. They painstakingly did a good job on my 1880 home.

I used Ron to replace my roof 7 years ago. I needed a roof for a different location as well as a small job at my primary home, so I called him again. This experience was totally different. The roof turned out well so I referred him to three other people who also purchased roofs. The work that I had done on my primary home turned out to be the problem. Bobby the carpenter broke a portion of the banister and has not returned to replace it. Also all of the materials and left over trash are still in my yard. I have called Ron 5 times about the matter and all I get are all types of excused and lies. I plan to report him to the better business bureau. He's nothing but a crook.

A word to the wise is stay away from Sure Lok Homes. They sided my house about 10 years ago and it's been nothing but issues of siding falling off and bulging out. A legitimate installer has since informed me that the siding was installed incorrectly in the first place. Some "repairs" have been made over the years but they basically consist of them nailing up the broken and cracked sections that have fallen off. I gave them 1 star because there was no option for none. This is the worst contractor I have ever dealt with.

We had several contractors out to look at my roof and gutter project. Ron seem the most informative and was easy to reach after he met with us to answer any questions we had prior to the work starting. The price was excellent ( thousands less than other bids we received and the work was outstanding. My 4 bedroom oversized ranch was completed with new gutters and drains in 1 1/2 days! I already recommended Sure-lok to two neighbors. My highest compliments to Ron and his crew.

I hired Ron back in 2005 when he talked to me about how he was a great guy, and that he was always trying to do "the right thing". That it was important about getting it right than doing it fast. Well 9 years later and I am still fighting with him to come back to my house to fix all the problems that I have had. This includes the water damage that was caused by the improper installation of the siding and gutters. Also the sub-contractor he used reused the old insullation on my house to put up the new siding. So now in the winter I can feel drafts everywhere in the house. In all he took my money and made my house worse than when he began. He refuses to fix it, only put band-aids on stuff to shut me up. He will gaurentee you 30 years on parts and labor, but now 9 years later he states that it's been too long! Ron will tell you everything you want to hear to get your money, but once he has your money forget ever hearing from him again. He could careless about your problems or the poor work that his company does. He is only in it to talk his way into your money. Find someone that works on their own. Is a hard worker and willing to listen to you. Not someone to yes you to death until he gets paid, and then will never help you again. DO NOT HIRE OR TRUST THIS COMPANY! You have been warned.

The experience was horrible. Sure-Lok was our decision the first time we hired a contractor and we learned our lesson (we only consulted with Sure-Lok - Ron is a great salesman). We had vinyl siding installed, along with windows, and doors, and a new front porch roof in 2009. There was little to no communication between Ron and the workers on site, and the workers on site did so many things the wrong way. We've spent hundreds of dollars having contractors update and redo various aspects of what my wife and I refer to as the "nightmare job". Flashing done improperly (porch roof line leaks), huge gaps between siding and J channel above windows and doors, and windows improperly caulked. These issues caused leaks and heat loss and had to be redone, which is why we had the siding replaced in the first place!. There are many other headaches and issues we had to deal with, like month long overruns of project time, but this review is already long. I recommend staying away from Sure-Lok Homes.
