Shattuck paving did a wonderful job 2 years ago for my residential driveway. This winter created a bit of havoc where the driveway meets the street. Dave came back and did a meticulous repair, taking his time to ensure there would be no issues going forward. You really see how well run a business is long after the work has been done! I was told by many people “ Just hire Shattuck Paving and it will be done right the first time….” I’ve learned the hard way too many times that if you want something done right you need to hire the best company for the job. In the paving world the call to make is Shattuck Paving. These guys showed up when they said they were going to and they worked seamlessly in near 100 degree heat all day. Our gravel driveway became unpassable during recent heavy rain storms. We were trapped at our house. Shuttuck showed up the same day to help us in this emergency situation. The driveway was perfectly repaired, and we were so thankful for their timeliness and execution of this project.

I shopped around and talked to many asphalt companies, and I could not be happier than with the work and customer service from Shattuck...three generation family-owned business. Update! Just got the first seal coat done on the driveway after the first of it being installed. The driveway and walkway is perfect and the seal coat is awesome! I’ll be going back to get it redone every two years from here on out!

We utilized the Milford office. Everything from the front office, to estimate, to install and payment was absolutely top notch! This was such a great experience and I couldn't recommend them more highly. We had our driveway and front walkway excavated and repaved which was a big job. They excavated and prepared the ground in one day and paved the next day. The work is fantastic! The finish detail and edges are perfect! Very, very satisfied and they certainly exceeded all expectations!

My wife and I moved to New Boston about 7 months ago. We bought a home that was in desperate need of a new driveway. I posted in the local town Facebook Group page That I was looking for referrals on having our driveway done. The number one referral was Shattuck Paving of Milford. I did my due diligence and had about 4 quotes before I called. Not to say that these other companies would not have done a nice job, but the feeling I got right from the start when I spoke to the young gentleman who came to price the job. I knew that we were going with Shattuck Paving. From the time that the crew arrived, til the time they finished the job,I was impressed. I was very impressed on how they operated all the equipment. The job could not have gone any smoother. The end results was a beautiful driveway that’s going to last for years. I’m not going to tell anyone that they are wasting their time looking elsewhere. I will say that they can save a lot of time if they called Shattuck Paving from the start. Very Satisfied and Happy! I would recommend Shattuck Paving to anyone. 5 Stars all day long! The actual driveway was done May 2023. The Seal Coating was done June 2024 I would go anywhere else

I got my driveway expanded and repaved. Typically, I get a minimum of three quotes for any project, and this was a big one so I got four. Shattuck was more expensive than the other quotes I received, but they requested more information about the job, they discussed several other facets of the job the others hadn't (new culvert for drainage if required after inspection, the leveling/grading I wanted, complete removal and disposal of the old driveway, adding more gravel, irrigation, etc.). Their email responses and online quotes were super quick and easy too. Boy am I happy with the result!! I had irrigation lines that were going to be torn out/re-routed, and Brett suggested they install a 4" x ~20' pipe to run water lines and power under the driveway as needed - no extra digging through roots and rock for me! They replaced the culvert at the end of my driveway beautifully! They created small rock walls around the culvert entrance/exit that looks like a mason did it, and put down drainage rock/riprap and edged the lawn so no grass would grow in the drainage area. I was not expecting anything like this - the area looks meticulously cared for. The driveway itself is clean and sleek with perfect drainage away from the house yet somehow very level in the newly expanded area for road hockey, basketball and kid toys/bikes.
Brett and the crew were super friendly and I'm extremely please with the job. Five Stars.

Shattuck did a great job and stuck to the promised schedule. The prep work was done by a separate crew one day and then the paving crew came in the next. It was well planned and seemed like crews, office, trucking of material, etc, was all well orchestrated. Pictures below are two unpaved areas that were gravel and stone for turnaround and extra parking along with the after shots. Between prep and finish, each were half day. I would recommend Shattuck as the local paving option of choice. We had 3 estimators come out from different companies, one of which just never gave us a price and the other was comparable, just know Shattuck seems to have a little more local presence and good reputation. We are very happy with the work that was done at our home. I contacted them last fall regarding repaving my driveway. They explained they were fully booked but would reach out in the spring. Based on experiences with other contractors, I thought I would have to reach back to them. However, they contacted me in the spring, and set up an appointment for an estimate to complete the work. The estimate was completed in less than two weeks. They scheduled the date to start the work which ended up being a day sooner which was a pleasant surprise. All of the members of the crew and office staff were timely, professional, and courteous. They were agreeable with our request to make a few changes to the original project and were helpful with suggestions. They were even kind enough to spend time with our new puppy to help him socialize! We are very happy with the outcome and highly recommend them.

Shattuck Paving did a wonderful job sealcoating my driveway. Michelle, in the office, was extremely helpful answering all my questions about what I needed to do to prepare the driveway (had to power wash it after 15 years of my maple trees dropping sap on it). The guys who did the sealcoating were very professional and they were very careful about the grass at the edges of the driveway.

I had to pave my steep gravel driveway due to constant washouts. I called Shattuck Paving whose professional staff immediately sent out an estimator who gave me an estimate that addressed my needs and stayed within my budget. The work was scheduled in a very short amount of time and it was done efficiently and professionally. I couldn't be happier with the result.

Very happy with my experience. I inquired last fall regarding repaving my driveway. They explained they were fully booked but will reach out next spring. Based on experiences with other types of companies, I figured I would never hear back. They emailed me right before the start of spring and we set up an estimate and then the paving. Their skill with grading and prep was quite impressive. They even removed a pile of boulders for me during the removal process to help me out. The final product looks great! They completed the project right on schedule and the quality is far superior to other paving jobs I’ve seen. I reached out due to seeing another job in the area, and my driveway was right up to par.

I am currently still waiting for the service to be performed and may re-evaluate my review based on final outcome, but so far I am not impressed.
The communication has been terrible. They have been tough to reach over the phone, they they have rescheduled my job multiple times without letting me know and foreman has made statements he has not delivered on. I have tried being patient, but that patience is starting to reach it's end.

Most professional contractors I have ever encountered. The guys arrived when they said they would. On time, professional appearance, new well maintained equipment. There were some unknown surprises when we started and they were able to solve them to all of our satisfaction. The amazing thing was how these guys worked. There were about 7 of them and there was very little conversation. They never stopped, just each knew what had to be done and jumped from position and machine to keep the job moving at a quick pace. I watched in awe of their skill level. I am so glad I chose Shattuck.

The crews that were at our house were all wonderful & made this a great experience for us. They were on time, did exactly what they said they would & were very professional throughout all of their interactions. We have gotten several compliments on the driveway since it has been completed & are thrilled with the quality of work.

I couldn’t be happier with the driveway that Shattuck put down for me. Everyone that I spoke with from requesting a quote to the last guy who swept the street before he left was professional, friendly and conscientious about their work. Both the excavation crew and the paving crew were top notch and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. The finished product was amazing. Water flowed exactly where it was supposed to, the edges on the driveway were perfect and where they tied into the street was flawless.
I would highly recommend Shattuck to anyone who needs paving work. I had to wait a little longer because of their work load but after seeing their work I’m glad I did. These guys are true pros.

A 5 star review reduced down to a 1-star, which is unfortunate. I had a paving job done last year, after a large amount of sitework was done. They were made aware of (and it was very obvious) that there was trenching that was done. We had to have an excess of gravel brought in for our area (significantly more than was estimated...which I have no problem with). Unfortunately, our area is very prone to underground water flow, and the area settled strangely. This is where the problem started.

The first person that came out to look said that they would take care of it, because obviously the fallen area was a problem. I was happy with that, as the research I did showed that they cared about the finished product.

The second person said they had to get back to me, and when they did, they were no longer going to repair the area without charging me because the issue was caused by settling and it wasn't their issue. Which, if this was a situation that was done years before they got there, I would agree with. Shattuck was very much aware of the the potential issue, and yet took the job anyway.

I asked for the owner to contact me to discuss this, he never did.

Instead, I was given the "well, we will do this at a reduced cost for you"...after I paid $21K for the job to be done, this was a slap in the face.

I decided that I wanted this fixed, so I told them to do it, and signed their contract. I was told that I would get a call to schedule.

I just got an email yesterday, saying that they were going to wait for it to settle, and would contact me in the spring. This could have been discussed when they came out originally, but it was put off. Obviously, they're trying to get the "paying" jobs in before the cold sets in, and pushed me off.

The sad thing is, that they did a great job, and I would agree with most folks on the 5 star rating....unless you are someone who has an issue. Then you are bottom of the barrel.

From beginning to end, all of the employees were professional and did a fantastic job! I highly recommend Shattuck paving.

The first day of the job they showed up on time and took off running. The excavator came off the trailer and immediately went to the top of our driveway and started ripping the old and prep for the new. They ran into a couple unforeseen (to be expected) problems and stayed till it was complete. the last 3 people left at 8 PM. That is commitment to quality!
The next day the paving crew again showed up on time and about 6 hours later I had a very impressive driveway which a couple neighbors commented on the workmanship. Being a retired engineer, I tend to do my research and went out to look at a couple different jobs and I settled on Shattuck. I also see several of their signs around town so they must be doing something right

They did an excellent job and all of them worked well together. Very professional and never left a mess either. I would strongly recommend them I’ve been waiting a long time to get my driveway paved and glad I used them !

After 8 no-shows by 2 different companies, I hired Shattuck based on a friend’s recommendation. They did a great job for us, when promised - no no-shows! The 2 guys showed up on Friday afternoon at 5pm, and did a great job (much to my surprise). I’d hire them again!!

We had our asphalt driveway torn up and re-paved by Shattuck. I am blown away at their level of service, professionalism and attention to every single detail! Our new driveway exceeds our expectations and looks amazing. Every crew member was courteous and friendly. It was 98 degrees in blazing sun and they worked their tails off. We have never had a driveway paved before and although we researched and got quotes from others, we are so glad we went with Shattuck. We will only ever use them from now on. I realize that my project was probably larger and more complicated than most residential driveways and I wanted you to know how satisfied I am with it. There are no puddles, low spots or areas of concern. After it rains, it drains off perfectly.

I contacted Shattuck Paving for a residential quote on March 10th. Michelle and I discussed the scope of the work (repair to the existing driveway, seal coat, another area that needed to be paved from scratch, etc.) and location (19 miles from their Milford office). Michelle said an assessor would be on site shortly to accurately generate a quote. Today, Michelle sent me an email stating the following: "due to the size and location of your project, we are unable to provide you with an estimate at this time." Mind you, they did not bother to even look at the job. Per their website, they specialize in residential paving and serve all of New England... this does not appear to be the case. Perhaps they only serve Milford and pave parking lots? I'm thrilled to take my business elsewhere.

My driveway came out amazing and I'm super happy with it! This very professional and reliable Company did a great job! My driveway is on a hill, it's lined with a 60 foot wall, and has flower beds.Where other companies said they couldn't save my flower beds, Shattuck Paving did! They pitched it so perfectly so I have no puddles; they replaced, and buried the previous drainage PVC, the downspout, so we wouldn't have any problems with the rain from the roof. Their crew was polite and worked well as a team, they happily answered all my questions and they were in and out in a jiff. I did my homework before choosing a paving company, you should choose this one too!

They were quick to respond via email and send an Estimator the same day. Although I was warned that my job may not make it this year I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email with the job planned for just a few days later! The crew was courteous and competent. Following the recommendation from many of our neighbors we hired Shattuck Paving to repair the street end of our long driveway that was broken up by snow plows (and many winters) and then fill cracks and seal the whole 165ft driveway. My wife and I would like make note of the exceptionally kind and generous services of all the folks at Shattuck Paving. From Ron, Michelle, Brett and all the guys who worked on our driveway I have nothing but high praise and thanks for what they have done for my wife and I.

We are senior citizens who moved to Milford last September and hired a contractor to build a new 2 car garage for us. We used all of our liquid cash to hire this person and, to make a long story short, he ripped us off and we lost approximately $20,000. We were left with bare walls and a roof and spent 6 months trying to get our money back or have him come back to finish the job. In June 2019 we found out that he left the state and went to Florida. The NH Attorney Generals office tracked him down in Florida and has filed a formal complaint that he must now answer.

We have received unbelievable support from local contractors who have donated their time and services to us to complete what should have been done by the unscrupulous contractor. During this process of trying to pick up the pieces we contacted Ron at Shattuck Paving asking if he could come and look at our driveway, that had been torn up during the excavation process, and see what he might be able to do to help us.

Ron showed up one morning and after looking over what needed to be done announced to us that his company was going to do the entire project for free for us! The extent of his generous offer and kindness has overwhelmed us and we are so grateful that Shattuck Paving stepped up to help us at a time when we had no other options.

Over the course of 2 days the crew came and prepped the site and then paved everything the second day. Their work is of the highest quality and the crew members were super professional and pleasant to be around.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to Chris Krol Excavation who did the excavation work for the Shattuck crew and Brox Industries who supplied the asphalt to complete the project. Without all of them working so well together this project could not have gone as well as it did.

My wife and I recommend that, if you have any paving needs, that Shattuck Paving be the folks that you call. They are top notch professionals and even better human beings. Thank you so much.
