Daniel did a great job with the work that was done at my home and keeping me informed of what was happening. He completed all work in a timely manner and left a clean work environment. He was very helpful with the whole project and also gave good advice to me. I would highly recommend A Plus Energy Services. They are very professional and respect you and your home.

Dan was great! I was looking to improve the energy efficiency of my house. After having a couple insulation companies come out I discovered the NH Saves energy audits and weatherization program. Dan came out very shortly after I signed up and completed an energy audit. He was quickly able to identify that the knee wall area of my cape style house was not insulated. He made several other recommendations that the other companies I had come out missed. Dan was quick to complete the work and was easy to schedule with. He was clean while working in the house and l look forward to the improved efficiency benefits.

Daniel Ramage did a long day’s work at our house completing energy upgrades (insulation of walls and pipes). He did a great job, reducing the air leakage. Looking forward to a warmer winter with lower gas bills!

I had a weatherization audit done and Dan of A Plus stopped by to do the inspection. The inspection itself was thorough and he was very courteous and respectful of the space as well as my pet. Once I had things set, I contacted him again to proceed with the insulation. This was over the course of a few days but it was a lot of work. Although I couldn't check the attic myself and can't see underneath the panels; I felt the work he did was solid based on how he not only answered but explain certain things. The basement looks good though! And yes, I do feel a difference already. I'm sure it will be more noticeable come winter. Thank you.

A Plus Energy Services was a lucky find in Southern NH. There are plenty of options if you’re looking for contractors for energy improvement projects, but after taking with Dan, you can tell he’s a step ahead when it comes to his trade. Dan was very knowledgable about the NHSaves program, identifying areas where insulation could be improved that I hadn’t thought of, and always was quick to get back to me with answers to my questions. I valued his honesty about what areas would and would not need more insulation and the effect on the quoted price. You couldn’t go wrong having Dan improve your home’s energy efficiency.

One thing I’d recommend though is having the energy audit done prior to getting a quote for rest of the work. It’s possible the house may not be as leaky as you expect, and so breakeven/payback time may not be accurate on the quote

Dan performed an energy audit for the NH Saves program. He was very professional and easy to work with. He explained everything necessary and replied promptly to emails I posed during the planning process where I had more questions.

I agreed to the efficiency changes and he had all the work done in 2 days. There were things we discovered regarding the home during the process that he helped me address and remedy. That assistance was a welcome addition to the work being done.

Daniel Ramage of A Plus Energy Serviced conducted an energy efficiency assessment of my house through the NH Saves Program. Daniel's assessment and proposal for energy efficiency work was precise and clear, showing the customer the cost and benefit of each proposed project. A-Plus installed the projects I approved in a timely and professional manner, and all interactions with my husband and me were friendly and respectful. Not only do we now have a warmer, and draft-free home, but the humidity in our basement is so diminished that the dehumidifier rarely runs. I give A Plus Energy Services my highest recommendation.

Daniel went above and beyond to seal up and insulate our home. The difference before and after his work was substantial and highly recommend his work.

I initially contacted Dan for his energy assessment, and eagerly awaited the results - with a 1950's home I knew the insulation, or lack thereof, was not doing my power bills any favors. When the assessment came in, I was saddened as I didn't qualify for any of the rebates. I was disappointed given the age of the home, I thought that seemed likely, but I ultimately resolved to do nothing now and consider services for the future once I saved some more money up. This was June '22 timeframe.

Come December, I get an email from Dan stating the programs had changed and I now qualified for both of them. He had taken it upon himself to monitor the rebates and contacted me without me having to try to track it! He signed me up for NHSAVES, and after a couple weeks of paperwork, was able to insulate the outer walls, the attic, and some specialty work for specific situations. He took great detail in showing me what he was doing, and custom designed a few covers for the house fan and attic door (pull down). Power bills are incredibly unpredictable so it's difficult to say exactly what I saved, with the cost shifting dramatically and last year's measurements never being that helpful, but ultimately I estimate this is saving me at least 30%, and likely more.

Do yourself a favor - pay the meager fee for the energy assessment - it's small money for his report that shows what the services cost and how long you would recover that money in saved power bills. And ask him to check if you qualify for any of the rebates. You could be well on your way to a large amount of savings for very low cost, and if not, at least you know where you stand.

When looking for an insulation expert, Daniel came highly recommended. He did a thorough job insulating and sealing our basement, as well as blowing in insulation for our eaves and ceilings. He went the extra mile to do things RIGHT - be it removing unnecessary framing in our basement or contorting himself to squeeze into enclosed areas to make sure the blown in insulation covered all necessary areas. He was very positive and hard working each day. He also rolled with unexpected issues, always coming up with a solution… which highlighted his knowledge and abilities. Our home now retains heat WAY better than before - and the heating system kicks on much less. Rooms that were always chilly in the winter now stay warmer. Thanks, Daniel! Mission accomplished…

I contacted A+ because of the good reviews, and I am not disappointed. I went through NH Saves and was able to save a lot of money. Daniel came in and did air sealing and insulation upgrades. We got to see the difference in the blower door test results, which was significant. He did all air sealing and insulation in two attics in one days work. He even took the time to vacuum the floors and ensure there were no signs he was there. I had to prompt a couple of the email communications since he is so busy, but I always got a quick response. Our home was noticeably warmer the next day, and my boiler has been on less. We’re getting heat pumps this year, and I’m glad we did the air sealing and insulation first. I used A Plus energy to redo the insulation in my attic. This involved sealing air cracks and installing R 50 insulation. The owner, Dan, did a great job. He was reliable and a very neat worker. The job was done on time and as expected. My oil use is down this winter, and the house is noticeably warmer. I would recommend them strongly.

Dan was incredibly polite and efficient. He came in to insulate our place. He didn't leave a mess or anything out of place, he also covered things to keep them protected. The best part of all was he vacuumed and cleaned up afterwards. Highly recommend!

I reached out to A Plus Energy Services in September regarding an in-home energy audit because I was using a lot of propane while heating my home in the winter. After providing consumption history for the past two years, I scheduled a visit for them to come to the house for an audit. My initial assumption was that a full analysis of the house would be done including all of the items listed on their website (Exterior Inspection, Unfinished Space Inspection, Infrared Thermal Imaging, Blower Door Test, Combustion Safety Test, Appliance, Lighting, and Hot water Check) and provide a thorough and detailed cost savings report including recommendations for insulation upgrades, appliance updates, and other improvements to keep my house warmer in the winter and reduce my propane bill.
Upon the visit, Daniel conducted a tour of my house including the basement, attic, crawl spaces, exterior, and some appliances. I expressed there were several rooms that were significantly colder in the winter than others. After an approximately a 30-minute visit, Daniel had mentioned that I need about 100 gallons more to qualify for NH Saves to reduce the cost of the audit from $350 to $100. I wrote Daniel a check for $350 and he left. After finally receiving my recent propane fill at the beginning of November, I provided this information to Daniel. I never received a refund for the difference or an indication that I qualified under NHSaves. After several follow ups, I finally received a “report” more than a month later. I was very disappointed to receive less than a 1-page word document analysis and a 1-page quote for services and a “return on investment” that that was very vague. I reached out with several questions about the report and the itemized services quoted and was open to a follow-up visit to address my additional questions. It has been more than 2 weeks and I still have not received any response.
I feel very duped from this audit, as the analysis was not up to par for the $350 that I spent on the audit. No blower door test was conducted (which I expected based on my research), and the infrared gun was used on only two rooms on the lower level, none of which were in the rooms that I was concerned about. This has been a very frustrating, long (going on 4 months now), and costly experience, with my room temperature and energy cost root causes still not largely addressed. I would be concerned going forward with A Plus Energy Services based on the lack of communication, and the quality of the analysis from the report. It is unfortunate because I read many positive reviews on A Plus Energy services, which is why I chose them to conduct the audit. I am very disappointed on not only the quality of the report, but with my overall experience.

Dan was professional and honest throughout the process. He is very knowledgeable about energy efficiency and the rebate programs and helped me get the most out of my investment. Once I got on the schedule the job was completed quickly. In my particular case the project ended up costing less than originally estimated which was a nice surprise.

Dan and his team did a great job weatherizing our home. I was somewhat skeptical the basement exterior wall insulation would make a drastic difference but we have had some fairly low temps recently and our unheated basement is now one of the warmest places in our house. We are very impressed with the results. I would definitely recommend A Plus Energy Services to others.

I had a great experience working with A Plus Energy and would highly recommend them. After contacting multiple companies in the Southern NH area to see about doing a home energy assessment I felt that A Plus was the most knowledgeable and had the best customer service. Scheduling with them was easy and while doing the initial assessment Dan took the time to answer all my questions. Later when he and his crew arrived they were respectful of my home, worked hard and got a lot of work done in a short amount of time without cutting corners, I was impressed. Two other things worth noting is that I really appreciate how 1) all the paperwork regarding rebates was handled by them, making it very easy on my end and 2) they took followed all the recommended precautions regarding Covid. In the end the difference in how my home is heated, especially in my basement, is very noticeable and it was time/money well spent.

I hired A Plus to perform an energy upgrade that included increasing insulation in my attic, dormers, and walls near the foundation. They also insulated my cellar and under the floor of my porch.

They were nice people, VERY hard working, and performed excellent work. I have not gone a winter yet to see the actual savings in oil and electricity but the house is definitely warmer.

I would not hesitate to recommend them or to hire them again.

Daniel and his team did an awesome job. They identified specific areas where energy/heat was escaping easily and quickly from my home.
They sealed those areas and secured a tighter insulation in the attic and in an outside wall.
It isn’t even winter yet, but the improvements are already noticeable. When turning on heat, the room(s) reaches the desired temperature quicker and remains in the room so much longer. The efficiency has been significantly improved.
I am looking forward to receiving lower energy bills this winter thanks to Dan and his expert team.

I first contacted Daniel about a quote on attic insulation after finding out I barely had any. Our house was rated very poorly for insulation and air leakage. If it wasn't for the rebates through nhsaves we would of never been able to afford the project. Our house is now fully air sealed, new attic insulation, all the walls blown in with insulation, basement fully foam boarded and a few other things . Got the energy audit service hoping to reduce my electric bill. The person who came checked a couple spots around the house and told me that there was a few areas that could be improved. Paid him the fee and haven't heard anything back from anyone from the company in over 3 weeks. Terrible communication, would not recommend.

He will assess your home's energy needs and recommend specific solutions based on maximizing your bang for the buck, and won't recommend unnecessary fluff just to boost the price.
His quote was a fraction of the other quote I received, he showed up on time, he provided a consultative approach to help me understand more about home energy efficiency, and he always returned my calls in a timely fashion.
Most importantly, it was obvious that he takes pride in his work and does business with integrity.

Dan did a great job for us. His evaluation was thorough and he was very informative. He covered everything that he said he would do and was an amazingly hard worker. Because of his work load, he wasn't able to get here for many months, but he was able to fit us in before the New Year for which we were grateful. Because we have just had the work done so recently we haven't seen savings yet but we are hopeful. Hence the 4, not 5, stars.
