Thorough cleaning and inspection of chimney and stove. Climbed on the roof (metal) in the rain to inspect the chimney. Technician explained every option and provided photos of the work.

We purchased a new gas log. The whole experience was great. The installation was done as promised and the technician arrived during the stated time frame. All went well and we are very pleased with our updated, remote-controlled gas log.

Son's Chimney and Chris Porter in particular are excellent. They handled our warranty issue professionally and have maintained our stove and flue for the last four years.

I had a Sons's Chimney team come out to service my Pellet Stove and clean my chimney. First and foremost, the price that they charge for this service is excellent and competitive. I have had my stove for 10+ years and find that their service has always been excellent. The job done on my stove was absolutely spotless and it's running like a champion. The men who came were courteous, on time, and extremely friendly.

The second thing that I will mention is that Chris (one of the techs who came) is one of the best Pellet Stove Technicians I have run into. He is highly skilled and knowledgeable and makes sure that he explains situations with the stove thoroughly and in terms that anyone can understand.

Nolan came out to do 2 inspections with 2 cleanings. During the inspection, which was very thorough, he discovered that one of the chimney flues had never been used and did not need the cleaning. As a result, we were not charged for the additional cleaning. Nolan clearly cared about the job he was doing, and was very knowledgeable. He came with me to inspect something in the basement, got on the roof to inspect the exterior of the chimney, and answered all my questions. The inspection reports were detailed. This company clearly trains its people well, and the work ethic and integrity of Nolan was refreshing. I will certainly be a repeat customer of Son's Chimney.

They started the conversation explaining they provide a free quote for the work I needed done. After 10 minutes of setting up an appointment, she explains it’s a $300 inspection fee for them to just look at the chimney. “Could be more since you have two chimneys.” How is that a free quote?

After confirming an appointment they never showed up and when called about the missed appointment said we wernt on the schedule. They said they would call us back about the missed appointment and never did
Edit: they did show up a few months later but I told them they were several months late and I had already hired another company who completed the work

Don’t let the fancy vans, showroom or “30 years” experience fool you, the crew and owner at Sons Chimney are young and highly inexperienced for the job you will need done at your home or business. No pride in their work, cheap parts and an entitlement that you absolutely need to steer clear of. Not even trustworthy enough to do a smaller job such as cleaning or inspecting a chimney. There are plenty of other chimney businesses in the area that are more reasonably priced, honest and will treat you like the customer you deserve to be. Anyone but Sons!

The repair people came out and inspected our five Chimneys and gave us directions a couple times on how to run our wood stoves properly. We’re super professional and very friendly and explain things and it easy to understand way I highly recommend their services. They were above and beyond expectations.

Just had a Morso 7110 wood stove installed by Son's. We're very pleased with the advice and service received, the stove is perfect for what we need and the installation was very professional, hassle free and looks great. In particular, Matt (who performed the installation) is very knowledgeable, helpful and thorough. I definitely recommend Son's for wood stoves (I can't comment on the other products they provide).

Our chimney sweep (Chris) came out to inspect our stove and chimney and was prompt and professional. Our news was not the greatest, but every step was explained, and our options were very well presented to us. We highly recommend their services. We will use them exclusively and feel very safe knowing they did such a thorough review.

We are exceptionally pleased with Son’s Chimney Services! Their communication, knowledge, and professionalism have been top notch. We knew for safety and efficiency that we needed to install a chimney liner and woodstove in our fireplace. The Son’s team did a great job of educating us on what was needed (cleaning and creosote treatment before the liner install), recommending a stove that still gave us the fireplace appeal, scheduling all the services, and installing the liner and stove. Thanks to Ben for all the scheduling, Chris for the creosote work, and Nolan for educating us and putting in the liner and stove. We look forward to seeing you next year for our annual cleaning.

We recently had a fireplace insert put in place of our woodstove, after it became clear that the measurements of our place meant getting a newer, lower emissions stove was going to be really hard. Ben made sure we knew what we were getting into in terms of price, got me on the schedule in advance so we could have the insert this fall (and we did, for the first snow), and then Matt came out to do a site assessment. He did a very thorough job, discovered some safety issues that needed to be addressed with our chimney (standards have changed since we had our liner put in 12 years ago) and then he and his staff did the repairs and installation in a careful, clean, efficient, and professional way. It is clear that Matt knows his craft inside and out, and I trusted him to give me an accurate assessment of work needed, and not to upsell me. The liner is gorgeous and works perfectly and we are very happy with it. We will be asking them to take over maintenance of our insert and chimney going forward.

Great service technician...explained exactly what was wrong with pellet stove, how it will be fixed and is in process of ordering replacement part. Very knowledgeable and was patient with numerous questions asked. Nothing better than local businesses taking care of Milford residents.

we just had our gas stove serviced and cleaned by Matt and we are so happy with his work. the stove is beautiful, with all of the glass polished and everything tuned up. He was very thorough, checking the flue for any animal nests, adjusting the flame, re-aligning the doors so they close completely, and lots of other things checked. He answered all of our questions and offered advice. and when he was finished, there was absolutely no mess. For friendly, knowledgeable, reasonably priced service, we highly recommend Sons Chimney services.

Sons Chimney replaced our chimney cap - the cap previously installed would accumulate debris and need to be cleaned twice a year. The Sons Chimney professional that cleaned our fireplace stove insert fixed the fan so it now works again an the Auto setting. We would recommend Sons Chimney for their knowledgeable and professional work.

They never showed. They called us the week before the appointment to verify the time and address. They had given us a 2 hour window of 12:00 2:00. Both my husband and I had taken time off from work since we both wanted to hear what they had to say. We called at 1:30 and were told they were running late. We called at 3:30 and they said that they had been trying to call us which could not have been the case since we were by the phone the whole time. Then they said they didn't have the address. It was all just phony excuses. And to top it all off, they wanted to reschedule for another 10 days out!!! Needless to say, we have gone in a different direction. Very disappointing.

Since installation of our gas fireplace, we've had Son's Chimney service the unit each fall (about 8 years now). They are always thorough, courteous, professional and clean throughout the entire service process. I highly recommend them for any of your chimney needs (gas or wood burning).

Bryce did a thorough cleaning, adjusting, & checking of our Fireplace gas insert. So now, the pilot light "lights" and is sustainable. And he showed his knowledge of the construction of our old Jotul wood stove. To replace the "little piece of gasket" I found.....Bryce took the top of the stove off, and revealed that much of the gasket was dried out. He replaced the gasket and checked the placement of the top, etc.
Through his good work, we're ready for another New Hampshire winter.

My son (45) & I struggled to light the pilot in the fireplace insert. We followed the instructions in the manual (as we have for many previous years), but it wouldn't light this time. We got Bryce here in about a week after my call for help, thru the flexibility of the Son's scheduling staff & Bryce. He operated the unit, cleaned some components, etc., but no luck. He said that maybe the propane had been turned off. I told him my Generator company's Technicians had built a new higher higher platform for the 14KW machine. And they had to disconnect & re-connect the gas line. Sure enough, Bryce found that the On-Off control in the gas line, just outside its entry point through the masonry, had been turned off. He turned it on; went inside; and it lit up nicely. Bryce made some final adjustments, and also re-positioned the pieces of flammable chunks, to make the fire look even more realistic. He's a good artist.

I have been using Sons Chimney for a number of years. It is the best company ever. Today Nolan and Joe came to perform maintenance on our chimney. I cannot stress enough how pleasant and helpful these two men were. It continues to be a pleasure to deal with Sons Chimney. The employees are knowledgable and extremely poiite
