This has been a nightmare from the start. Three months ago, we were supposed to have our new roof completed. Instead, they repeatedly failed to show up, lied about scheduling, and dragged the process out unnecessarily. After the shingles were finally installed, we were told all that remained was the metal work. That was weeks ago. We waited and were ignored the entire time.

When they finally showed up, they worked maybe half a day, slapped some metal roofing on a porch and dormer, then left—unfinished—and never returned. They didn’t even remove the old shingles from the porch like they were supposed to, but still charged us for it. They left decking exposed. The dormer wasn’t sealed or finished, which resulted in a massive leak into our kitchen. We even had water pouring through the light fixtures in our living room.

When they eventually came back to “tarp” the dormer, they nailed through our brand-new shingles. They also ordered the wrong shingles—not even close to what we paid for.

They had the audacity to try to “cut a deal” to break the contract (after violating it over and over), then tried to bully my husband into agreeing. He refused—he wanted the correct materials and a finished job. They’ve now attempted to close out this unfinished project three different times—once before the metal was even started, once after partial work, and now again today, demanding payment.

Our summer has been ruined. We had other contractors lined up to follow after the roof—now we’ve lost them. We’re trying to sell our home, and we’re completely stalled. We can’t go on vacation with our kids because we’re terrified of another leak if a storm hits. We can’t move forward with siding, windows, or landscaping.

Now, we’re looking at replacing ceilings—one upstairs that they broke while moving around the HVAC, and the ceilings in our kitchen and living room that were damaged by water. The stress and anxiety this has caused our family is overwhelming—not to mention the safety concerns from water pouring into our home like a waterfall.

To top it off, when materials were delivered, no one came to unload them. My husband had to do it himself. They left trash and metal scattered across our driveway. Our kids cut their legs on the metal walking through it.

This company is dangerous, careless, and unprofessional. They clearly have no idea what they’re doing. They are storm chasers and money grabbers—nothing more. We’re now at the point where court is our only option, because we can’t even get through to anyone in management

I was very pleased with the work done by Shamrock. They worked seamlessly with my insurance company. Sammy Hawkins coordinated the project. He was organized, followed up on details, and kept me well informed every step of the way.

Our experience with Shamrock has been terrible. Sure, our roof looks great, but we have been waiting for over 2 months to get the final pieces finished, and there is zero movement from them to get it scheduled. The customer service has been non existent. The crews that came out made messes that needed to be addressed. The sales team blames the crew, the crew blames the office, the office doesn't contact us. It's a huge mess. I can't wait to be done with this project so we don't have to worry about this company any more.

We returned from a short trip and because of the rain we had some leaky spots in our home. Our roof is only 5 years old! You can imagine our frustration. J. Durham came the day we called and identified the problem. He took care of our issues and assured us our roof was fine. It was all maintenance issues we were unaware of. He was knowledgeable, professional, and best of all the visit was no charge! We learned things we have never been told in our 40 years of home ownership. We can't say enough good things about our experience with J. Durham and Shamrock Roofing in Lees Summit.

Will Belfield did a great job on my estimate and helping me to put in my claim due to hail in 2023. Unfortunately I could not get insurance approval but will definitely use Will and his team for any of my roofing needs.

Sammy H. came and inspected our nursing facility after a hail storm. He was very honest and up front about the process and walked us thru the steps of what we need to do, and watch for, considering we didn’t have enough damage to file a claim at that time. Highly recommend. Very professional and knowledgeable for such a young man.

Grant Huxman is the best Project Manager I’ve ever dealt with in my life. I have in my job dealt with lots of project managers, and Shamrock is very lucky to have him. Thanks Grant For your absolutely excellent service And I learned a lot about roofs.

Their door knockers came to my house after a storm and did a quote for our roof damage. We filed a claim and got our insurance to approve a roof replacement. Once we touched base to let Shamrock know we were ready to move forward, they let all communication die. We have attempted contact 6 different times with zero response back. We are just holding a check for no reason.
With this level of service from the starting line, we no longer want to have them do work for us. We have no confidence that working with them on such a large project would be a smooth process.

I worked with Avery Sanderson, what a great guy he led me through the whole process and they did a great job on my roof. I would definitely use them again.

Shamrock replaced our roof, gutters, and window flashing after hail damage. The whole process was easy, communication was great, and the end results look great. Our project manager was William, and he was fantastic. Highly recommend!

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
I recently worked with Noah Bowden on my roofing project. Along with replacing the shingles on the roof, there were also few areas in the interior ceiling to be repaired. The project included the whole thing, replacing the roof and repairing the interior ceiling damages. Everything was nice until the roof was replaced, which was over 6 weeks ago.

Soon after the new roof was installed Noah came and collected the check for the major part of the project saying, we ask you to pay for the work completed, I was hesitant but made the payment for the "completed work", with a caution that, do not holdup the rest of the work to complete the project.

This was almost 6 weeks ago. After receiving the check, Noah completely ghosted me. I have been chasing these people for over 5 or 6 weeks until another guy Chase, showed up and came and took more pictures of the interior ceiling damage, which I didnt understand why, they should have these pictures already, they should know what needs to be done to finish the project. Either ways, I just wanted to do anything to get the work done. But I am still chasing them. So if you are planning to work with these guys, make sure you only pay after everything is done. I was very naive to assume that only fly-by roofers do these kind of things.

Project Manager, Javi, did a great job coordinating from insurance claim to final completion of the project. Large roof was completed timely with full complement of workers who did quality work. Javi kept us informed and followed through on completing the job to our full satisfaction. Areas around the house were protected from debris, which were fully cleaned up following the job.

I had Tony z come out to my house for a roof inspection, he was very polite, professional and thorough in his inspection. He took pictures to show me what was wrong with my roof and explained everything that was wrong. After going over pricing options and explaining how everything with insurance works he gave us the best quote. 10 out of 10 would recommend Tony for all you’re roofing needs.

If I could give zero stars, I would.

This company was a disaster from start to finish. They constantly failed to show up on time, with no communication or explanation. When they did show up, the work was sloppy and rushed.

They left parts of the old roof still attached to my home — completely unacceptable for a professional roofing job.

Then came the real nightmare: my fireplace area started leaking heavily inside the house after they worked on the roof. Water damage is now what we are looking at.

To make things worse, they damaged the HVAC exhaust pipe for the second floor and cracked the interior ceiling during installation.

They also botched the metal accent work by trying to install it over the old shingles, instead of properly replacing the roofing first like they were supposed to in there contract.

And then — they just left. Didn’t finish the job. Didn’t follow up. No cleanup. No final walkthrough. Nothing.

This company is the definition of unprofessional and careless. Do yourself a favor and hire literally anyone else.

Great experience and the roof looks great! Jacob was very helpful and easy to work with. Explained the entire process and ensured things went smoothly.

Project Manager, Javier, worked with us, taking us step by step through the roof inspection, material selection, and coordination with our insurance company. Roofing replacement took place on schedule and was completed in one day, including cleanup. Javi was able to answer all our questions and concerns prior to and during roof installation, making the entire process seamless and efficient. We highly recommend Javi and Shamrock Roofers.

So I didn’t end up getting a new roof, But I’m leaving a five star review because of one of their salesman, Lawson Cranor. He was extremely professional and answered all of my questions with no problem.

I am extremely happy with our experience with Shamrock Roofing. We had both our roof and gutters replaced. Our project manager was Will Little. He is a consummate professional, an excellent communicator, and extremely thorough. Initially, he explained the roof replacement process in a way that was very easy to understand. He touched base with us often, and answered all of our questions in a very complete manner. In addition, he is very knowledgeable about the insurance claims process. We happened to be going out-of-town on the day the roof was installed, and I had full trust in the project being done right. We our completely satisfied with our new roof and gutters. Excellent service with project manager, Jadan P. He helped us get set up and worked with our insurance provider. Only issue was slow cleanup of leftover materials in driveway. I would highly recommend Jadan and Shamrock Roofing.

Shamrock finally got my bid done after 3 weeks & the wrong material.
I clearly said in person & on the phone that the insurance company adjuster measured at 16 gage & already paid.

The lower the better, & stronger for a steel roof.

Waste of time

Jaden Phillips is an excellent project manager. He carefully examined our roof, took many photos of it, and clearly explained the status of the roof and the steps to repair it. He was a strong advocate for me in attempting to get the insurance company to pay for the project. He sincerely cares about the needs of the client. His crew was super, hardworking and friendly.

Gabe Morris did an excellent job on my roof. He was professional, on time, and made the process simple. He handled everything and kept me informed the whole way. Gabe is honest, dependable, and someone I trust. Highly recommend.

Our salesman was thorough and very kind. He came 40 ish miles twice, to inspect and make an estimate and discuss the estimate and make the sale. Less than a week later supplies were delivered on a Tuesday and the old roof was torn off and a new one was installed the next day. It looks amazing! I also cannot say enough about the cleanup. It was cleaned up so well you would never have known they were there.
The guttering hasn’t been installed yet, we put it off a week so we could paint. I cannot wait to see the final project!

He gave us the information that we needed to make our decision without pressure or a sales pitch! It felt like he was an immediate friend! I had questions nobody seemed to want to be straight forward with. Will Little came out, assessed the damage. Assisted with any and all questions at any given time, picked my new roof color for me as I had no clue what would look good or bad, added in different venting from my previous complaints, and it was fully replaced in one day in less than a week and a half! Crew did a great job cleaning up. Will came back after to make sure stuff was cleaned up properly and visited multiple times during the construction phase. And best part? They weren’t all about having to have ALL the money up front! Would highly recommend.

Worked with Mackenzie Long she was great. Even though my roof had some damage it wasnt quite bad enough to do a claim just yet and appreciated the honesty.

We very satisfied with our dealings with Shamrock Roofing Co. Our Shamrock representative Will Little was very good letting us know each phase of the project. Will also did a fantastic job working out with our insurance adjuster.

While the salesman was very polite and friendly, they clearly were not able to see the “No Soliciting” sign located on the door. As a potential customer, this highlights that this contractor may not be able to pay attention to the little details.

As such, I would not likely ever be soliciting roofing services by this contractor.

Jaden is great to work with. He stepped in when his coworker had another meeting and spent a lot of time discussing our situation, next steps, etc. Very professional and knowledgeable!

Just completed a full roof replacement with Evan Harris. Evan did an excellent job working with insurance, my HOA and the roofing crew. I would absolutely work with Evan and Shamrock again.

I really spoke highly of this company! Though after working with them and using them as a customer my song has definitely changed. Shamrock loves to fire contractors before paying them. Then saying they don’t owe the contractor. They say paid training and that is not true. They will leave customers without gutters, then charge insurance for a job that wasn’t done. Even after flooding her house. Please please please do not use this company. To work for or hire to do a job.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about my experience with Shamrock Roofing due to Will Little’s project management, thoroughness and complete dedication to my roof replacement project.

I spoke with several project managers representing other companies at the start of this project, and Will was, hands down, the best at helping me understand replacement options, selecting the right color (I would have gone wrong) and explaining the ins and outs of the insurance $ situation, which I hadn’t dealt with before. His professionalism, patience and responsiveness are unmatched.

Tony Zajic came and inspected my roof.He advised me of missing shingles and hail damage.He said my roof was still in pretty good shape.

Very pleased with the service provided by Shamrock. All staff were pleasant and helpful - estimate, install, and billing. Will Little was particularly helpful in coordinating the entire process. He did an excellent job communicating with me, handling all the details, and especially working with my insurance company. He even made sure to tell me about documentation to get a discount on my insurance after the installation which was an unexpected bonus.

Found them replacing another roof in the neighborhood and had Derek Roberts work with our insurance company to file a claim. All went well and we are happy with the roof.

Quality work done by the installers and our PM Tom made the entire process very easy. Would definitely recommend to others

**UPDATE** -6/12/25- On 6/3/25, a Sales Director from Shamrock reached out to me and has been actively assisting in resolving the repairs. I will continue to update this review as this situation unfolds and provide updates until its successful completion.

I hired Shamrock Roofing to handle a roofing and gutter replacement project for my rental property in Kansas while managing the process remotely from Minnesota. Unfortunately, my experience was far from smooth.

My project manager, Trevin Craig, oversaw a job where virtually nothing was done correctly the first time. The shingles over the attached garage were improperly spaced, violating manufacturer guidelines. The drip edge was incorrectly installed in three places. The fascia boards on both sides of the covered porch had to be redone—twice.

When the roof was being installed, the crew needed 2x6s to replace damaged rafters. Shamrock took three hours to deliver materials, only to bring 2x4s instead. This happened at 4:45 PM with rain in the forecast and my roof wide open. I had to rush to a nearby lumber yard before it closed at 5 PM to get the correct materials myself.

The new gutters were installed over the incorrectly installed fascia, which meant another crew had to remove and reinstall them after the fascia was fixed. While I appreciate that Shamrock did eventually correct all the issues, I expected better from a company with 47 years in the business. Mistakes happen, but every part of this project required rework—roofing, fascia, gutters, and even the invoice.

After the gutters were installed, Trevin stopped returning my calls. I had to reach out to Jessica Samuels, the office manager, via email to get the fascia issue resolved. Then came the billing problem: the invoice didn’t reflect my initial cash down payment. I had to provide proof of payment and wait for a corrected invoice, which I finally received after a follow-up call from someone in accounting. Only then did I pay the balance.

Two weeks later, my tenant sent photos showing water running behind the gutters where the porch meets the house. I emailed Jessica twice with the photos and have received no response. Shamrock advertises a lifetime labor and installation warranty, but my project manager has gone silent, and the office is now unresponsive.

Unless someone from Shamrock contacts me and resolves this issue, my next step will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

After the heavy rain recently we had some water leakage in our roof. Bryon Deege came out to our home very promptly and was so professional. He fixed our issue and didn’t try to sell us anything we didn’t need. He is an asset to your company!

Their salespeople were out like vultures like the rest of the roofing compaines after the recent storm but at least the other compaines respected my TWO "NO SOLICITING" signs. A freaking "Senior Project Manager" either can't read or just doesn't care whether a resident works nights and sleeps during the day, has a sleeping child at home, maybe a dying family member who just wants peace and quiet. I would NOT hire anyone who can't read and follow simple directions. Next time I will call the Overland Park Police instead.

Jon Prue showed up from Shamrock Roofing and gave me the run down on potential roof damage after a recent storm. He wasnt pushy and asked if he could have a little bit of my time. He explained the process and what to expect if I do have damage. Jon answered my questions and concerns professionally. Jon checked my roof, showed me damages via photos, and then explained that I did not need a new roof. Jon was honest and even greeted my dogs like they were his. When I need a new roof, Jon will be the guy!

Ryan came by after this recent storm and talked to me about damage in the area he’s seen in other roofs and how it could be covered by my insurance. He even did a free roof check for me and explained what he was looking for along with process of going through insurance. Unfortunately we didn’t find damage but I will be giving him a call when the time comes to get a new roof! Thank you ryan for being patient with me!!

One of your Representatives ( Brett Frischer) was in our neighborhood inspecting the rooftops of homes recently hit by the hail storms. Extremely pleasant and professional, checked our roof, as well as neighbors. Clear and very direct. Asset to your company.

I attempted to get a quote. However, they could never hit a time line. I rescheduled with them 3 different times within a 24 hour period as they had other jobs to do I was told. I would not recommend as if they can not hit a time they schedule, how will they get the job done on time or correct.

Jon was extremely proactive and responsive. He patiently answered all our questions, and we had many. He communicated frequently and oversaw the work as it progressed. The work crew did a great job as well. We are very pleased with our new roof and definitely recommend Jon as a project manager!

Shamrock roofing did an amazing job repairing woodpecker damage to our siding. Jon Prue was very professional and ensured everything was completed to our satisfaction. I would highly recommend them!

Landon Gatlin was very personal is his presentation in selling me on the company he works for and the work his crew did was top notch!

Justin and his team went above and beyond expectations. He and ashley met with the claims adjuster from my insurance, as I was at work when they came to view damages. Took the crew of 7, 12 hrs to complete the roof and pick up 99.99% of the waste from the shingle replacement. Crew was very kind and attentive. From the start of the experience, with all the questions I had, to the selection of the shingles and color of the gutters and drip edge, it was a flawless experience. Highly recommend!

The following are reasons I gave 5 stars: they insisted on being present with the hail adjuster to ensure we got everything due us, communications were great, the roofers worked a 12 hour day and got the removal and clean up done in one day, plywood was put against the windows for protection, our deck was covered with a tarp to avoid damage, clean up was excellent, after the job was completed we were visited at our home to ensure we were 100% satisfied. They exceeded our expectations in every aspect of the job.

Ivan Quinones was great through the entire process. He was very responsive and incredibly helpful. The job was done great and cleanup was thorough. Great experience.

Shamrock was very responsive to our request for a quote for a roof replacement after a hail storm. Hayden was our inspector and he showed up at our house the same day, and got the process started. Our roof was replaced within a week and Hayden continued to follow up even when he was sent out of town for another storm. The roofing crew did a great job and spent a lot of extra time cleaning up after install to ensure no debris was left behind.

After 17 years of living in our house, I began to see water spots on the ceiling. After careful research I picked Shamrock to access and replace my roof. Communication and co-ordination with everyone was great. Doing business with companies today is getting harder than ever; to find dependable and honest people. Shamrock did a beautiful job repairing the various water spots in the livingroom, kitchen, and garage. They were mindful of my furniture and table decorations. They carefully covered everything so there was no paint splatters on anything. However if did notice a scratch on one of the ceilling fan fins, but that's OK, I can live with that. A little furniture scratch remover will fix that. The smell from the paint and stain remover was minimal, and I'm glad of that. I now have a new roof that will outlive me, and that's great. They cleaned up after themselves, and were mindful of my landscaping too. Everyone has different expectations and experiences, so if my posting helps someone, make their decision less painful, then I'm glad to help. If someone were to ask me about Shamrock Roofing then I would highly recommend them.

Shame on this company, redid roof and gutters, they pointed the gutters at my window well. Flooding our basement causing thousands of dollars worth of damage. Even though my basement had been dry for 8 years prior to this, they asked for a foundations specialist to confirm it was on them. So we did, that wasn’t enough apparently so then they wanted a structural engineer to confirm, so we had one of those confirm too. Shamrock still doesn’t want to take accountability. I’m guessing they’ll want the governor or someone to confirm next before they take accountability, but we aren’t getting the call back we were promised now. Buyer beware.

Erik and his team at Shamrock are awesome! As is common in the construction industry, we ran into some issues getting our roof done. However, Erik’s quick responses and determination to complete the job correctly and as on time as possible were much appreciated. Erik and his team are very professional and strive to make things right and we were quite impressed with how he continued to help us through the adversity, most of which was outside his control and just a result of the dynamic industry. I highly recommend Erik and his team to anyone looking for an outstanding roof job!

They're doing too much outsourcing they damaged my property and they're taking forever to fix it they put a hole in my wall, they ruined my tulips by laying shingles on them and they tore up my flower bed. And they left insulation falling off from under my siding. It's been a horrible experience.

I can’t say enough about Javier’s professionalism, responsiveness, honesty, and roofing expertise. In addition, the quality of work and cleanup was top notch. I would highly recommend Shamrock roofing and be sure to ask for Javier!!

Their work is excellent. They didn't just reroof our house; they rebuilt our roof. Our attic never vented properly. Shamrock identified the problem and installed the proper venting so the attic can breathe.
What I appreciate most about Shamrock Roofing and Construction is that they didn't try to upsell us. It didn't cost extra to have a better shingle installed or better felt put on. They start with top-quality materials and do it right the first time. The new, larger gutters are functioning great, as well, Shamrock. Thank you! A+ Job!!!

Adrian Wooddell came out for a roof inspection today. Not only was he exactly on time for the appointment he was thorough, knowledgeable and educational regarding our roof condition. At the point we need any services from Shamrock, they will be our only call for services they provide.

After arguing back and forth about our invoice for several weeks Shamrock finally admitted that they attempted to overcharge us by a few thousand dollars, planning to take insurance money alotted to other repairs they were not completing for us. Now, we have had significant leaking caused by an improperly sealed roof. Shamrock cancelled our follow up appointments several weeks in a row to get the issues corrected. We are still dealing with leaking into our light fixtures on the roof, which is a fire hazard. I would recommend that anyone considering this company look literally anywhere else.

Update: Taylor helped us out so much. She got a repair team out who did an EXCELLENT job. I believe my experience was a bad crew and not a bad company.

I cant even look at my roof now without getting upset. $9,000 and I'm left with a roof that looks like this. Asked for repairs and different colored shingles were used for those though the salesman loaded up a stack and a half of shingles from my yard from the job. I have a whole pile of nails we have picked up. Nail holes in my mower tires and we have both stepped on 1. 1 section of the roof was left open for several month so there is no telling what damage was done with the snow. Gutters were strapped down over shingles and an entire section of gutter was "forgotten" I absolutely regret using this company.
