Frank provided a thorough inspection of my roof. He explained that, while my roof is older, it doesn’t have any damage or signs of compromise, so there’s no need to replace it at this time. He couldn’t find anything that required repair but advised me to contact him after the next storm since older roofs are more susceptible to storm damage. With his honesty and confidence, I’ll definitely be calling the Serrano office next time I have a problem

Maria, a representative of Serrano, knocked on my door and greeted me with a big smile and a step-by-step plan to get my roof repaired. Our neighborhood, like all of Maryland, had been hit with heavy winds this summer which caused damage to my roof. Maria sat with me as I submitted my claim to my home insurance company and explained next steps to me. She confirmed that there was no obligation if my insurer denied my claim and that in most cases, their clients were only responsible for their deductible. When my insurance claims adjuster came to see the damage, Serrano roofers were here to meet him. It was just as Maria shared; my claim was approved and Serrano was able to repair not only my home roof, but also the roof of my carport. The roofers were professional and the set-up, the repair and clean-up were all done in a day. I highly recommend this company for your roofing needs and ask for Maria. She is amazing!

Frank and Serrano contractors were a tremendous help with helping my family obtain a new roof. It was not an easy process, because they had to prove through additional evidence to the insurance company that the roof was damaged due to a storm that happened. Some people move on after a denial, but Frank and Serrano contractors were determined to make sure my family got the new roof they deserved. They were very responsive and communicative throughout the process, and made sure we were kept in the loop every step of the way. If you are looking for someone to replace or repair your roof, I would highly recommend them.

Serrano contractors are very efficient and detailed oriented. I was treated as if I’m the only customer they have. I was called every time for follow up. All my questions were answered. The day of the roof fixing they were all on time. Roof was completed as promised. All my compound cleaned. Their work was neat. Very professional.

There’s a reason why they have five stars. Honest, efficient and really great to work with. They came and installed everything in one day including replacing all the plywood. Alan and his crew are amazing and will go above and beyond.

The roofers try to find as much damage as possible on your roof (missing or bent shingles, holes, etc) and then ask to be present when you call in the claim to your homeowners insurance. They also come to represent you when the insurance adjuster comes out to verify the damage.

The insurance adjuster verified the damage (I had clear damage to my roof and my interior ceiling was leaking) and sent me a check within a few days. Sometimes the roofs have bent shingles, etc, that don’t count as issues that need repair, so the claim will be denied. I think I had signed a paper saying if the claim went through, I would use Serrano, but if it didn’t get approved then I was not commitment to have any work done.

The initial check covered the residual roof value and the insurance company said the replacement value check would come after the work was done. I gave that first amount, plus my deductible, to the roofers. Once they finished the work, they asked me to sign a paper authorizing the insurance company to send the replacement value check directly to them. I could have declined to sign it and had insurance send it directly to me again, but the roofers did everything they said they would, so I had no reason to hold back any funds.

They upgraded the shingles to ones with a 50 year warranty and added a ridge vent at no additional cost. The painter did a nice job on my interior ceiling and walls. Only one wall was damaged, but they painted all four so they match. I made sure that was written on the insurance adjuster and the roofer’s paperwork.

The only potential extra cost is plywood boards, if needed to replace any that are moldy. They throw in the first three for free. Turns out, no boards were needed on my roof at all. I think the boards were around $60 each?

Even though we asked the roofer about gutters, he said they look fine. So there wasn’t pressure to sell us extras.

If you go ahead with getting a new roof, allow for weather cancellations at the last minute. They will try to stick with the scheduled day, but if the predicted weather changes, they will push it forward as necessary. They drop off materials at 6:00 am, start banging at 7:00 am and finish before dark. They clean the yard of nails using a large magnet, but after the first few rains, more nails and debris will be washed out of the gutters and appear in your downspouts.

Serrano Contractors helped us to change roof. everything was done in a day. excellent service. and helped us to get the insurance coverage. strong recommendation.

Project manager Leslie Morales is a Rock Star. She inspected my roof, dealt with my insurance and took the time to fully explain my options and their products. The crew arrived on schedule and the entire roof was yorn off and replaced in about 7 hours.
Cleanup after was superb. Nothing left behind. Leslie came by at the finish to ensure it was exactly what i wanted and expected.

Alen Serrano was very professional in the presentation of the product they install. He explained in great detail the materials that were going to be used. Got in touch with Serrano contractors after having a leaking ceiling due to roof damage. The main point of contact, Ronald, was very helpful throughout the entire process. They primary work with your home insurance to get estimates and payment for the repair/install job, but whether it gets approved depends on your insurance company. They do offer retail if you are willing to pay out of pocket. The roof installation was quick and only took about half a day. If you are looking to get your roof repaired or a brand new one installed, you should consider Serrano contractors.

Caleb came out and inspected my roof twice. The first time I didn't want to do it because I was unsure of the process but after I did it and gave it another try a second time my whole roof got done for 1,000$ and insurance paid for every thing, caleb is an amazing guy I'm so thankful.

Lindsay came by our house and discussed the kind of services they offer and that started the whole process. She and Alan met with us and explained thoroughly the entire process - from the free inspection, the kind of shingles they install, filing a claim with our homeowner's insurance and even helped us with following up with the company about our claim. Pedro also came by when the inspector from the insurance came to do his own inspection and he pointed out to them the damages in our roof that resulted from the wind storm. They scheduled the project as soon as possible and their crew came very early on that day. They were all very professional and Jordan helped explained to us what they were going to do. Even when there was a little hiccup when the delivery company switched the shingles that were meant for us to another client, Pedro himself got on his truck and delivered the correct shingles in our house that day and made sure the job still got done on time. They also cleaned up very well after themselves which we really appreciated.
For the skylight, they even cleaned the molds and repainted the whole area and made it look really nice.

Caleb came out and inspected my roof and helped me get it approved threw insurance. I didn't believe him at first but this 19 year old works magic like I've never seen before. He came and supported me when the adjuster came to see the roof and 5 days later it got approved. The roof was good he gave me my favorite color to apply for my roof which is green. I didn’t know that my homeowners insurance could pay for my roof and I didn’t know that my roof was damaged if it wasn’t for Lugo coming and showing me damages after the storm that came I wouldn’t have known. I had seen some shingles on the ground but didn’t think much about how those problems could have gotten a lot worse but now it’ll be a huge relief knowing that my roofs going to last me about fourth years with the best material that they install and the workmanship they showed.
