This was my initial encounter with Roof Masters who recently installed my new roof. With every encounter from beginning to end I was met with courteous knowledgeable, professional and personable individuals who did hesitate to answer my questions or address my concerns. I do not hesitate to recommend this company.

We have been a Roof Masters customer for over 20 years. I have interacted with no less than 15 team members in that timeframe and ALL were knowledgeable, professional and customer focused.
Most recently, we had a total roof replacement ,with Howard, Jack and Vanessa managing the administration and Jorge leading the field process. The entire lifecycle was synchronized and implemented with precision.
We hope that your experiences are as positive as our have been.

Roof Masters completed work for mother. She had a new roof installed. Excellent customer service was provided. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure everything was left the way they found it. Would definitely recommend.

Needed a roof inspection done for insurance purposes and we were able to get this scheduled easily and quickly. Thankfully, we don’t need to replace the roof in the near term but when it comes time to do so, we will definitely give Howard and his team a call!

Had a fantastic experience with Roof Masters. Very impressed with the install quality and the roof looks great. They did an awesome job removing the rotted boards from my roof and took pictures of them to show me as they were going about the process. The contract was very detailed and the team was communicative. 10/10 would use again, but hopefully won't have to as the roof is good for 30 years!

Howard came to my house on March 3rd to provide two estimates, one to repair a problem and one to replace the roof. While at my house Howard barely looked at my roof and blew off my concerns about a problem (I had a leak in the winter and there was daylight coming through in my attic). I was told that he will get me an estimate in 2-3 days. I followed up by email on March 7th to check on the status of the estimates. To date (it is currently April 14th), I have heard nothing from Howard. In the meantime, I have already had my roof replaced by another company that was prompt and professional. It is clear that Howard/Roof Masters had no interest in working on my house, which is fine, but ghosting a potential customer is such an unprofessional move. I will never recommend this company to anyone.

My husband and I bought an 18 year old house in EC, MD and I wanted to get an estimate on a new roof - just to see how much it would run. Howard Rittenberg came out to my house, looked at my roof and said that we still had some more time before we had to replace. AND THEN he had an idea: he suggested that I call my home insurance company and put in a claim for wind damage to see if they would cover the cost of a roof replacement. He said that if they approved, he would be happy to help us. If they didn't he would be able to repair it as long as he could before he had to replace - we would just start saving towards it. So I followed his suggestion: I called the insurance company and set up a inspection with my insurance company for that following Friday. Howard was aware of this appointment and promised to be there to advocate for us. Friday comes and I texted him when the insurance adjustor arrived. Howard texted back and said that he had the flu and that he was sending one of his project managers. That person NEVER showed up. The insurance company finished and left after speaking with me.
Obviously, Howard lied to me about sending someone to help me. I was left in the lurch and now when we do replace our roof, it will not be with this liar. I will get an estimate from the company that replaced my aunt's roof - Walter Brown.
Howard, if you're reading this, shame on you and know that you have lost a future customer forever.

Roof Masters recently did our roof replacement. We chose them because Jack presented the quote in great detail and explained everything they were going to do. The crew did a great job with the roof. Very responsive communications from Jorge and Howard during the project.

This was my first time going through a large project like this and so I was really nervous.

After receiving about 5 quotes from different contractors we decided to go with Roof Masters because of the level of detail that was in the quote, the clear pricing and finance options, and how awesome Jack Dodson was.

Every question I had was answered and the work itself was fast. I really appreciated that Joe kept me updated on the issues they found, how it should be fixed, and why it should be fixed. The team also did a great job cleaning up at the end of the day.

I was amazed at the final product! Our roof is a combination of shingled and flat, and the flat part looks so much better than it did. When I stuck my head up there to take a look during the final walkthrough my literal words were "Holy shit" because of the difference.

From the time of estimate to the install, Roof Masters is phenomenal! Jack was very patient and addressed all of my questions/concerns. He explained everything in great detail. Prior to my install, my roof got a leak, and Kim had a crew come out and fix it before the expected rain came. Customer service is outstanding. On the day of install, the crew was punctual, professional and thorough. If I weren’t home, I would not have known they were here. All scraps, and debris was removed leaving nothing behind. Roof Masters replaced my roof (including all sheathing) in August 2011. It has already failed and needed to be replaced again. We have mold in the attic so it has been leaking for quite a while. When contacted about the leak Roofmasters sent a crew out but the attempt at repairs was not successful (and they failed to respond when I sent photos of the ongoing leak). Our current contractor has found many indications of poor workmanship, including caulk filled holes, plywood sheathing that was not nailed down, sheathing that was broken and installed anyway, and shingles that were damaged during the installation. So the premature failure is likely due to terrible workmanship during installation. I suggest you do not use this company.

We noticed a leak on our ceiling and called Roofmasters. Mr. Howard Rittenberg came by, climbed on the roof and identified the problem as edge of roofing material having unsealed. They had put the roof on for us about 10 years ago and he honored his guarantee by sending repair crew to our home. They had to postpone twice because of weather but mother nature controls that. When they made it to our home though, the crew was great and fixed the problem, answered questions and did more than expected. It was a great experience and hope to continue being Roofmasters customers. Keep up the great service and thanks.

We had a new roof installed at my mother's house in Rockville. Since the new roof, we had 4 leaks at the corner of a cathedral ceiling where a leak is causing a plaster to fall down to the living room. Even though they claim that the problem was fixed, it obviously was not. One of the owners tells me he will call back and then he doesn't. I am very upset.

Be wary if you are routed to their Call Center when you call. They do not know the Roof Masters service area. Roof Masters advertises extensively on the radio, and claims to service NoVa - but apparently not the Dulles corridor of the Wash Metro area.

An emergency service call request placed to the Roof Masters call center was NEVER responded to by a roofing professional or someone from Roof Masters.

I only found out Roof Masters didn’t service the Dulles area because I had placed a follow up request online directly on the Roof Masters website - of course, being told via email two days after I called about a leaking roof was less than helpful.

Roof Masters did provide a referral to a different roofing company which was appreciated.

Howard was very open and honest with his estimate and spent time explaining the whole process. It was a fair and competitive estimate. I was leaning towards using Roof Masters but a family friend with a roofing business offered to supply materials at cost which saved us a substantial amount. I'm sure I would have been totally satisfied with Roof Masters work. I would recommend them.

I had a great experience with Roof Masters. They gave a good estimate, explained exactly what they were going to do and delivered. At the end of each day they cleaned up the whole site. The roof is beautiful and I have a clear mind on the workmanship, which was stellar.

I remembered Roofmasters from a radio commercial, and called them when I needed my roof to be inspected. Howard did a phenomenal job, did both an interior and exterior inspection. Roofmasters were able to show up quickly, and get it done. Thank you!

Roof Masters did an excellent job replacing our roof and two skylights. We even got compliments from the neighbors!
Howard was very professional and took his time to explain the project in detail and answer all our questions. Our roof was older, and did not have a ridge vent, nor any soffit vents. Other roof companies gave us conflicting advice. Howard explained our ventilation options and suggested the best way to achieve what we needed.
Prior to the installation, Howard and Joe came out to walk the property and go over all the details. The roofers showed up exactly as expected and worked in the heat of two very hot August days. They always rang the bell to let me know when they arrived and were careful to cover the shrubs and clean up at the end of each day. We also had a problem with water dripping into the fireplace. Roof Masters repaired the masonry at the top of the chimney and resolved the problem.
Overall, we are very pleased with the job done by Roof Masters and would recommend them to anyone needing roof work.

After discussing some issues that developed with the installed roof I met with Howard, one of the owners, and he took a look at the issues that we were experiencing. He sent a crew out the very next day to deal with them. The crew was exceptional and repaired or dealt with every issue discussed with Howard. I have to give them kudos for how quickly and professionally they took care of the repairs.

From the moment I engaged Roof Masters the experience has been first class. Howard and the team run a tight ship, are clear and responsive. All our roofing and siding options were clearly explained including pros and cons etc. At no time was there any high pressure selling. Throughout the process the team were highly responsive and kept me informed on status, key dates etc. In 2023 this type of high touch service is highly unusual. Strongly recommend.

Calling Howard and his crew was one of the best decisions I could have done. I recently bought a house and noticed there was a small leak coming from the flashing around my roof. Called Howard and he was out inspecting the roof the next day and gave me an estimate within 1 or 2 days.

Due to replacing the furnace topper, I had to find a HVAC person to work in tandem with Howard and his crew. This process was the most time consuming but overall the most 'professional option'. (Makes sense, roofers work on roofs, HVAC works on HVAC stuff)

Once repair day arrived, the crew arrived promptly at 8:00am, and started work on the roof and removing/flashing the new furnace topper. They replaced the decking and shingles around the furnace while also replacing another small portion of decking that was old/leaking. After the work was done, I talked to one of the roofers and asked how the roof is, considering I had it repaired, and he stated that the previous roofing job (new roof in 2020) was done poorly because they did not replace the tarping that is laid underneath the shingles.

Overall, I would recommend Howard and his crew from Roof Masters. They are responsive to inquiries, can teach you about your roof (good/bad), gives you an honest price for work, and just a great company that doesn't take advantage of someone who may not know a lot about roofs.

Howard and his team at roof masters came through on provided us w a quality roof and it’s the envy of the neighborhood now. Guys went above and beyond to work with us and our 3 dogs to complete roof, window and gutter and downspout replacements

They supposed to at here 2pm for inspection of my roof, called them at 1:45pm just to make sure they are coming, lady assure me they are coming waited for hours no one showed up.called back again and she told me that they are coming , no one showed up, now they aren't even picking up my phone. Never ever gonna use this company. Took off from work for this appointment, waste of time, they don't respect customers time.

I recently hired Roof Masters for my roofing project and I cannot say enough good things. Roof Masters did an excellent job. I am very happy with my roof installation.

Roof Masters was excellent to work with. First, they called back! I called three other roofing companies in the Rockville area, none replied. Roof Masters set up an appointment right away. They did a great job explaining their service and products. Their crew was on time and the job site was well taken care of and very clean. I think the best part is that Roof Masters went above and beyond by contacting our insurance company and showing them the true extent of damage and repair our roof needed, after the job was completed and paid for. Roof Masters did an excellent job replacing my roof on time right before the storm hit our area which lasted 5 days. They sent an entire team needed to finish the job on time. They were professional and used good quality materials and everything was done for a reasonable price.

Over the past few years we noticed water spots on the underside of roofing plywood when we were in the attic. I made several attempts at maintaining the roof over the years by periodic inspection and caulking using asphalt roofing products. But we soon realized it was it was a loosing battle with the roof.
I contacted four different roofing companies and was not satisfied until I met with the fourth roofing company which happened to be Roof Masters.
I was very impressed from the start with their knowledge and professionalism. They performed a detailed inspection of both surfaces of my roof top to bottom. Roof Masters prepared detailed written assessment of our existing roof and we then realized it was time to have it replaced. We then requested a detailed proposal from Roof Masters for the roof replacement. The proposal was bought to our house by the Owner of the company and he explained the entire process and answered all our questions, and we were very pleased, we signed the contract. Also, we had one additional circumstance, there were solar panels on half of our roof. This was no problem for Roof Master, they included the removal and reinstallation of our solar panel into the proposal.
Bottom line, the removal of the solar panels took place with out a hitch, the roof was replaced within a few days along with new roof venting system and solar panels were reinstalled and back in service within a couple days after the roof was completed. The whole process was very professional, and they did an excellent cleanup at the completion of there work. I even had them replace some rotted wood behind my vinyl siding and install flashing around the base of my exterior wall, which they fabricated on site. They did an excellent job! I would highly recommend Roof Masters to anyone who is in need of a new roof or exterior repairs to there home.

We had an amazing experience with Roofmasters. From start to finish they were very professional and you can tell they take pride in their work as evidenced by their attention to every last detail. I highly recommend them. They’re might be cheaper alternatives out there but I don’t think there is anyone better.

Had a branch fall through my roof. I called several roofers to inquiring about an emergency repair and an overall roof replacement. Roofmasters did not respond to my voice-mail about the repair. It took a second call to get a response regarding a roof replacement. In the week and a half since Howard came to my house to look at my roof and make recommendations I STILL have not received the estimate from Howard. Despite being assured that he would email it to me and my repeated emails and voice-mails looking for the estimate I never got one at all. I find this to be very unprofessional and in my estimation I must not have been worth Roofmasters time. I cannot recommend them to anyone in all honesty.

The whole team did a great job, starting with Howard, who was friendly and knowledgeable doing the estimate. The crew was efficient and paid attention to detail...also did great job cleaning up! Very happy with the result!

Roof masters have installed 90% of the roofs on our property. They always do an excellent job . The company is local , family owned and very responsive. We always use Roof Masters and recommend them highly for quality and value.

From the start, Roof Masters was very professional. Howard sat down with us to discuss our needs and inspect the work that needed to done. He provided us with a binder containing several quotes and options for us to choose from. He also provided us with materials and color samples which made choosing the right color very easy. All of our questions, calls and emails were answered promptly (usually within hours). The workers covered our front porch and shrubs to keep debris out. The crew was also very professional, hard working and did an excellent job of cleaning up! I would definitely use them again!

Scheduled an appointment for Monday, March 15, 2022. To be fair, the rep emailed me on Sunday and I responded on Monday morning. Even so, if they can't make it, they should say it out right. They called at 1pm saying they could not make it at 1pm and changed the time to 4:30pm. I got to the location at 4:30, waited 30 minutes. Called the main number, where the receptionist said the guy was "on the road". They soon called back saying there was an emergency.

What I am guessing is that there is some sort of oversubscription of appointments and "discernment" on which zip codes are less likely to result in an agreement to do a job.

Roof Masters did a great job on installing my new roof. It's absolutely beautiful! We had quite a few challenges due to all the wintry weather this January, but the crew was punctual, professional and cleaned up all the mess. I'll definitely refer them to my friends.

I have contracted several times with RoofMasters. They are the best! I recent had them replace my Attic fan. They were professional, fid very high quality work and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them for any roof repairs you might have.

We had Roof Masters out for an estimate about a potential project. They were on time for our meeting, professional during the process, and (most importantly) honest. They advised us against the project because it would not be cost effective even though they could have made a decent amount of money. That says a lot about a company.

Roof Masters replaced the roof and skylights on my screened porch. Although their communication was a bit spotty as the beginning, once Howard did the inspection and drew up the contract, everything went smoothly. I particularly appreciated the information he shared about the challenges of obtaining materials now and his candid explanation of the fact that they wouldn't know how much of the roof had rotted because of leakage and would need to be replaced. As a result, I wasn't surprised by how long it took to get the job underway and how much the replacement lumber cost. On the day when they did the work, I was impressed by the crew and the quality of the work they were doing. When it turned out that the only supplier of the lumber we needed was in Virginia, they sent someone to pick it up and stayed late to finish the job. Perhaps the most impressive that day was the quality of the cleanup. My porch and the area around it were immaculate. The final test came with the recent heavy rains--NO LEAKS!

Roof Masters put a new roof on our house in Spring of 2018. We decided to go with the 130mph wind rated, 50 yr manufacturer's warranty shingles, which seemed like overkill at the time. Since the new roof went on, our house has been through two tornadoes and not a single shingle has budged. Even in a spot where the edge of the roof was struck by flying debris, the shingles didn't fail. Roof Masters installs a quality product in a professional manner and it stands the test of time and weather.

Of the five roofing companies we received estimates from, Roof Masters was one of only two whose inspectors actually walked on our roof. Musa was enthusiastic and very thorough. He immediately found issues with our old roof that the other inspectors didn't even mention. Following the inspection, Roof Masters was the only company to additionally offer a free sit-down proposal meeting. Their detailed presentation and extensive documentation far outperformed their competitors and set the standard against which we compared others. Possible additional costs were mentioned up front; no hidden suprises! Right from the start, Roof Masters earned our utmost confidence with their higher level of care. Upon signing, Howard was willing to patiently negotiate with our insurance company to ensure we would get maximum coverage for our roof damage.

The work crew was professional and efficient. Their proposed construction standards were the highest amongst the five companies compared. They even reinstalled our television antenna at no extra cost. The finished product revealed careful attention to detail and quality craftsmanship, although they were three cap shingles short of completing the job and did not finish painting our heater vent pipe, both of which they had to return to complete at a later date. We did find over 20 nails and various pieces of wood scattered throughout our yard, despite diligent use of nail magnets by the crew.

Musa, Howard, Joe Sr., and the friendly office staff were very communicative. They honored our requests with the care and attention of a tight-knit family-run business. Though priced slightly higher than their competitors, you will without a doubt have full confidence, peace of mind, and a solid roof/attic ventilation solution backed by the best warranty in the industry. Our better overall experience more than made up for the difference in price.

Roof Masters demonstrates the proper way to run a business. I wish that every company were as good as Roof Masters.

The process starts with Musa, his presentation and knowledge are what sold us on Roof Masters. We had lowered offers, but the work outlined by Musa ran circles around them.

The installation itself was done professionally and quickly, the jobsite was kept as clean as possible and was done in 1 day.

Howard from Roof Masters has been out to my home twice. The first time he asked to see my paperwork on my roof, determined it was still under warranty and helped me contact the company to get my roof repaired under warranty. The second time he came out to see if I needed a new roof as I'm having a humidity issues inside the house. Again, he looked at my paperwork, looked at the roof and said the issue I'm having inside the house is not a roofing issue and that my roof has probably 8-10 more years to it's life. He could have sold me a new roof both times but was so honest when he said it wasn't needed. I will be using Roof Masters when my roof really does need replacing.

I met with Howard (owner) to discuss whether or not I should repair or replace my roof. He discussed the whole process but did not pressure me to choose one way over the other. He was polite, personable, knowledgeable & very professional. When I decided to replace the roof, a crew was sent out to do minor repairs so that the house would be protected while I waited to be scheduled in.
The workmen who did the job were on time & worked diligently to complete the job in one day. At the completion, they cleaned up leaving no debris behind.
I would definitely recommend Roof Masters.

The contractor came to my house inspect the roof and promised he will follow up with me. I made several calls to the company to check the status and every time I called the very nice lady who picked up the phone keep telling me she will inform the contractor and he will contact me. Never called.

They hold me up for several weeks.

I finally realized this company (Roofmasters) doesn’t have the guts to tell they don’t need my business and I moved on and found a better roofer company who is glad to have my business.

Roofmasters was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We had several companies come out and quote the work on the roof. They were the only company that got up onto the roof and inspected before giving the quote. Howard came out and met with us to review the proposed work and walked us through different options and made sure we were comfortable with how the job would proceed and what we were signing up for - replacing a roof is expensive and RoofMasters made the experience a positive one. Their crew took care to protect our property and make sure they cleaned up at the end of each day. I would highly recommend them.

Roof masters installed a brand new roof for my townhouse. The service was excellent. The installation was quick and professional. The crew cleaned up all the debris on my house and my neighbors. The crew did a fantastic job of picking up nails around the house. I highly recommend their services.

I was very pleased by the skylight installation service provided by RoofMasters. When providing their estimate, they explained the options, best locations, sizing, etc for my attic. But where they especially excelled was in the installation. It turned out to be a little more complicated than we all expected. They took the initiative to consult a structural engineer and to add reinforcing beams to ensure the skylights and my roof were as solid as possible. They explained everything to me, took their time, and I could not be more satisfied with the outcome. I wholeheartedly recommend RoofMasters' skylight installation services.

Howard and his team are very knowledgeable and professional. Unlike many contractors, they are not "hard-sell" high-pressure salesmen--they explain your options and let you decide. They are very prompt about keeping appointments and responding to phone calls/emails.

Very unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. A representative called me to reschedule appointment after the time of the appointment. The second time again, they never came and never called. When I called to find out why they didn’t come, I was told “ At this point, you need to find somebody to do it for you”. Couldn’t believe my ears. This no call, no show is very bad. It’s even worse when they’re not sorry and rudely refuse to do the job. I used to think roof masters has a reputation but now I know it’s fake. They’re not what they claim to be.

Joe Jr. and team did an amazing job on a complex rehabilitation project on our house and on out new roof. Both projects were done smoothly, on time and on budget. The team was super responsive. I’ve had a lot of tough experiences with contractors and vendors and this was by far the best. Will use them again.

We were so impressed with the quality and care of work done by RoofMasters. I've never worked with a contractor that was so attentive to protecting our property throughout the project. They arrived with enough plywood and tarps to cover our deck, the sunroom windows adjacent to our deck, and the access from our back yard. They worked efficiently and with care. At the end of each day they cleaned up all of the detritus and roofing materials and even used a huge magnet to pick up loose nails and screws that had fallen during the removal of the old shingles. The work was completed on time and to a high standard. When the solar company put the panels back on our roof, they damaged the ridgeline vent. On a return inspection visit, Roofmasters identified the problem and scheduled repair within a few days. We had some questions about the venting system and they came back right away and explained how the system works and then proceeded to help us clean up our attic. I wouldn't have anyone else work on my roof and am without hesitation in recommending them to anyone. And, by the way, they were always pleasant and professional and the price was very reasonable. Roofmasters is amazing! We had Roofmasters install our new roof in 2017. Fabulous work – very professional, very clean, no random roofing nails found in the yard. We also installed gutter guards. This spring our gutters were overflowing with the heavy rains. I called Roofmasters. They came out immediately. I did not even need to be home. They removed the debris that accumulated on the gutter guards and they sent me a detailed report with before and after pictures. Roofmasters is an awesome company! I would recommend them to anyone looking to replace their roof. Such a smooth process in 2017 and they did not forget about us when we had a problem in 2020! Thank you, Roofmasters!

I located Roof Masters thru radio advertisement. They came out to the house, replaced the worn shingles and installed new pipe collars as well. The roofers were professional and courteous as was the Admin office. Great work, very satisfied.
