Home addition + kitchen remodel

We were thrilled with the results of the kitchen remodel along with the complete tear down of a wall and the build out of a laundry room. It has given my home a huge facelift and I am going on month four of the remodel completion date and no issues at all with the craftmanship, plumbing, or electrical work done!

We recently had our basement finished by Experts Remodel, and it looks great! Our project manager, Eli, was incredibly helpful and always available to answer our questions. My experience working with Experts Remodel on my bathroom remodel was good. This being my first bathroom remodel, it can definitely be overwhelming with the amount of choices and decisions you have to make. Appreciated the work done by Danielle (Project Manager) and the crew doing the actual work led by Angel. Experts Remodel works with the materials you provide them, but they can provide cabinetry, sinks, countertops (if you like their selections). Along with the actual work they did on my bathroom, I really appreciate that other efforts they took: willingness to go to stores and look at tiles, pick up materials I bought from the store to avoid delivery fees, not be contractors that simply say "yes" and provide their feedback/recommendations when asked. Even after the completion of the bathroom, I've had a couple of asks for touch-ups (very minor) and those are covered by the contract I signed with them and they have never hesitated to fix something I pointed out and schedule a time to come back and resolve. I had a positive experience and don't have any issue recommending this company.

Last year, Experts Remodel renovated our >60-year old kitchen. They did an excellent job, therefore when it came to remodeling our ~30-year master bathroom and replace the bath with a shower, we employed them again. The workmanship and care for detail of the teams during both projects were excellent. It was very easy to communicate with the projects' managers. They were responsive and flexible whenever the original plans needed modifications. The time-line for completing the work was reasonable, and they kept their commitments. In each case we had unpredictable minor adjustments after the end of the project, which were attended to promptly. We were particularly pleased that upon completion, the company took care of deep cleaning the areas where they worked. Experts Remodel are not cheap, but they provide high quality service.

Hire professionals! This is more of a construction management company. They have no expertise of their own, will charge you double then hire cheap labor and produce poor quality work. When I pointed out the areas I was not satisfied with, they refused to fix it or even continue the rest of the work unless I pay extra.

We did a kitchen renovation that involved partially removing a wall and moving some plumbing, etc. as well as new flooring, cabinets, and countertops. Experts Remodel did a fantastic job. We had trouble finding a contractor in Capitol Hill and had some bad experiences before, but now we are recommending Experts Remodel to all of our friends. The price was competitive (and there were NO surprise costs), the work itself was done well, and the team was extremely detail-oriented, organized and communicative. We appreciated understanding the process and timeline with daily updates. We especially loved working with Jacob who felt like a part of the family and took great care to make sure we were happy with the work every step of the way.

From the moment we started meeting with contractors for renovating our kitchen, master bathroom and a few other smaller jobs, we were big fans of our project manager Lakeisha. But let me tell you why. In a time we are used to poor customer service, disappointment, no follow through and poor outcome, Lakeisha and the contractor Vito cannot compare to anyone else when it comes to customer service and quality of work. THEY ARE THE BEST!!! A few of my retired contractors friends who saw the work and heard about how everything was handled told me that that’s the best they’ve ever seen and heard of. Lakeisha went to bat with the insurance company and got done what I needed to get done. I did not need to handle talking to the insurance company once I filed a claim she handled EVERYTHING!!! Vito is an artist and his attention to detail is simply astounding. He left absolutely nothing undone. Not one detail was overlooked. I am so grateful to have found them after having several consultations from other contractors that left me deflated and disappointed. They are a dream team. I have even recommended them to others, including a retired contractor who like I said, saw their work and didn't think twice about hiring them. By the way, I waited almost a year to do the review And I am still in love with my bathroom. And now they are doing work on my father-in-law’s house as well.

We contracted with Experts Remodel to completely remodel our bathroom, and we could not be happier with the result. They did a fantastic job for us. This was a major remodel, requiring a complete demo down to studs and subfloor, repairing water damaged to the existing structure, re-routing sewer and plumbing to accommodate relocation of vanity, shower and toilette, then reframing to remove a closet, moving/adding doors, and a completely new shower.

I’m a bit late with my review but I’m hoping my feedback will reflect my entire process with Experts Remodel - from consultation to 6-months later.

Last spring I reached out to multiple contractors to get their quotes and opinions on the two bathrooms I wanted remodeled. I met with one of their project managers, Danielle, who couldn’t have been more helpful in helping me with my design. Unlike other contractors, Danielle was thoughtful of my vision and provided great suggestions on how I could best use my space. Before I had even committed, she introduced me to the team she oversees, helmed by Vito, and the broader management facilitated by David.

To Danielle, Vito, and David, Kudos! The last thing that you want with a multi-week renovation is unresponsiveness. All three were constantly in touch during the entire 5 week process. Danielle came by every day to evaluate progress and texted me about my needs. Vito reached out whenever he had a question about certain placements or suggestions of how something would work better. David never missed a chance to swing by to check in and drop off some specialty Cokes.

All-in-all I had two full bathrooms remodeled. And they look gorgeous!

So, why wait 6 months to write a review?

1) Some pipes that were outside of the scope of the project got damaged during the remodel. Danielle, David, and Vito were super responsive in fixing the problem free of charge. They wanted a great bathroom as much as I did.

2) I wanted to give everything some time to settle. Old house, changing weather, etc. I wanted to make sure that my assessment of their work wasn’t just aesthetic - how has it held up in the last 6 months? Was it worth it?

My answer is, emphatically, yes. I’m super happy with the work that Experts Remodel has done and will likely use them for any other home improvement projects I have in the future.

I had a wonderful experience with Experts Remodel. I had a cracked tub and needed to replace it along with the alcove tiles. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Finished 1200 sq ft basement. Daniel was my project manager. She always answered the phone, always on time. It was a big project, and exciting yet also stressful times. Experts Remodel was referred to us to do drywall repair when we had mold remediation in our master bath. We were in the market for a new kitchen and first floor bath and after reviewing their reviews and portfolio, we were quite impressed. After corresponding with the project manager a few times we decided to do what essentially was a first floor renovation. The project manager and his team were promptly responsive with their quote and 3D model and were confident that they could complete the project within our time constraints. We decided to proceed and the process was nearly seemless. Our concerns and questions were always answered in a timely manner and the team was responsive to any additions or edits we had for the project. Everything was completed according to our timeline and we are more than pleased with the end result!

First, I was able to schedule an estimate very quickly, Eli was very prompt and took the time to help me shop for materials and assist with quantities. David explained the process and worked with me when needed, he truly cared that the process was understood and was very empathetic. Luis was an exceptional and hard worker, putting in time and small touches that did not go unnoticed. Eli personally walked me through the finished product to make sure I was happy. A family owned business who was very flexible. A very positive experience, what a difference!

I asked Experts Remodel to construct a new bathroom. It was a challenging job because there were no existing plumbings (water and waste lines) and the space is small. I have an idea of the layout and Experts Remodel helped with design ideas. The project Manager, David Levy, is very responsive. The foreman (Beto) is simply the best. Incredible skills. I have never met someone before who is all-around with expertise in carpentry, masonry, electricity, plumbing, painting, and design. Although it took 6 weeks to complete the job, every detail is executed carefully and precisely. The bathroom still needs completion of the glass door and lock for the pocket door, but as early as now, Experts Remodel has already earned my cinco estrellas.

The team reached out to us to hear more about our experience and offered to make things right. They were deeply apologetic, promised to learn from mistakes, and fixed some of the issues we were having. They showed us their portfolio of recent work — it’s clear they normally do beautiful solid work in a timely & efficient manner.

Their customer service is bar none and it’s evident they’re passionate about what they do. They really won us over again — I’d trust them next time we have another project and would recommend them to anyone looking for a professional contractor.

We hired them for a simple laundry room remodel (put up walls, ceiling, floors, W/D installation) and repaint our deck.

It took them nearly 1.5 months to get through the projects — way too long in our experience working with contractors. They also came 4 times before giving us a final estimate and wouldn’t tell us how long it would take once they started.

It was fairly sloppy work for what we expected, they had to redo the floors three times, and they were messy after the projects were done. We were so fed up and done with them that I just wanted them out of the house. It’s sad because I enjoy the laundry room now and the project manager/designer did her best with the crew, but it was at the expense of so much added stress and wasted time. Would not recommend them.

10/10 would recommend. Lakeisha the lead designer is fantastic and knowledgeable. The team was amazing and the project ran smooth with no complaints. David was very hands on and runs his team very well which meant we could sit back and trust that our project was well taken care of. If you’re considering a remodel I recommend you hire this dream team. You can’t go wrong with Lakeisha and David on your project.

Experts Remodel LLC was hired to cover a water stain from a bedroom ceiling. The stain was from a leak that occurred after the installation of a new roof and solar panels. David came one day and assessed the damage. Three days later, when I was available, the stained area of the ceiling was covered with a special paint that will prevent the stain from becoming visible again. Then the entire ceiling was painted. I’m very pleased with the work and the way the situation was handled. Great job!

We hired Experts Remodel to renovate our bathroom, update our bedroom and make other small repairs around the house, with the bathroom being the major job. We couldn't be happier with the results. David and team turned our dream kitchen into reality! The company is responsive and does whatever it takes to satisfy their client. We had some delays due to our work being done over the xmas and new year holidays but Experts Remodel did what they had to do to finish our project to our satisfaction.

Keisha, David, Mario, and team were wonderful to work with. As a new home owner I was definitely nervous going into the first major project we wanted to do but experts remodel made the whole process very easy helping us along every step of the way. I am very happy with our new kitchen!

She came see real times to explain the processes and helped with my comments on the contract, came with me to chose the floor tiles and picked them up . Lakeisha and the Experts Remodel team were great. We wanted our basement renovated and brought a few teams to take a look. Experts remodel was an outstanding choice for my home renovation and I am very happy to have hired them. I had a bathroom added into a room with no plumbing, renovated my kitchen, and renovated the exterior of my house.

I interviewed at least 10 contractors and settled on experts remodel for a few reasons:

1) I could tell the project manager I worked with was very invested in consumer satisfaction and was very personable and seemed would be pleasant to work with
2) price was mid-range
3) they could start immediately and promised a high quality product on a reasonable timeline.

All in all it was a great experience, and I would have no hesitation hiring experts remodel again. A few highlights of why I enjoyed working with them and am still satisfied that I went with them. A few highlights of why I am glad I chose them:

- I always felt my project manager and foreman were invested in giving me what I wanted and a quality product versus just whatever was cheaper and/or faster. For example ,on my porch, my foreman switched out the type of wood a few times when it wasn’t good quality and told me he would rather put quality wood on even if it meant he had to take the wood back to the store and delay the project to find higher quality wood. They were invested in my vision from the beginning and stayed invested in the quality of that outcome.

- They people I worked with were always pleasant to work with and had good communication about what was going on with the project

- They threw in a few extra small things at no charge, and when bigger unexpected changes arose in the project they were cognizant of my budget and pretty much gave those changes to me at cost to them. I certainly never felt they used changes to milk me but instead were trying to make sure I was still happy with the finished product

- As any conflict arose in expectations or differences of how something should be done, they always were fair and good communicators in resolving issues and made sure that I was satisfied. They were flexible with me sometimes and sometimes I was flexible with them. Again, I always felt they were invested in making me happy with each project.

All in all, I am very happy that I chose experts remodel for my renovation, love the finished product, and have already recommended them to friends and neighbors.

Expert Remodeling did amazing work.

I had a roof leak that damaged my ceiling in seveal areas. David the owner came out and did the inspection. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

David the sent his employee Marco a couple of days later and Marco was fantastic!! Marco was friendly, knowledgeable and did an awesome job. You cannot tell I had any ceiling damage.

I will do business with them again.

We were fortunate to find Experts Remodel. Danielle and her team (David & Edgar) responded to our questions, concerns, and needs. Remodeling discussions were extensive, including design work and material choices. The team was also flexible to changes; specifically, if there were issues with the structure, they went ahead.

We also liked that they took care to address suggestive changes to the home to improve functionality and comfort, which all paid off! But, most of all, their communication was outstanding! There weren't long delays between contact; most times, it was immediate, and I was thankful they were open to text messaging.

Our project started remotely, so the communication and flexibility from Experts Remodel were a blessing. In addition, their pricing is highly competitive with local contractors. We found their pricing to be thousands of dollars less, and they provide more renovation work!
