Edgar and Team were a Blessing to work with. Not only was the final outcome great, but the experience as a customer from beginning to end. Communication, Competency, and Completion are critical parts to every project. I have been in a perpetual remodel at various properties for over 3 years and unfortunately had to go thru 3 local constructions companies who failed in all three before I finally found Select on my last remodel project. I would have saved time and money and had a better fit and finish outcome on all previous projects had I known them earlier. Select Construction remodeled our kitchen, redid our floors and did some work on our entryway. During the process the we’re respectful and the communication was great. They were flexible and adjusted the plan for the kitchen after I made a mistake. I love our new kitchen and the floors and will continue using them for all our future projects.

We had an assortment of unrelated, medium-sized projects that we wanted done at the same time, and they took a personal approach, making sure each project was to our liking, that we understood the timing and the cost, and communicating very proactively on any issues that came up unexpectedly (which is bound to happen in a 100-year old house). We hired Select Construction for our bathroom, hallway, and staircase remodel recently. I’m including both the before and after pictures and these don’t even do it justice. It’s like a completely different house. We are incredibly happy with the end result.

First, the bathroom. Edgar and his crews worked fast but didn’t cut corners. They helped me make decisions based on what I was looking for, our intended budget, and what they felt would work best for the space (like moving the toilet to the other side of the room to make space for a glass shower door). The tile work and everything else was just so amazing by the end.

And for the stairway and hallway, we were equally happy with the end result. Edgar suggested converting the attic door into a built-in bookshelf and we’re glad we decided to do that. It looks so nice, and gives us a little more storage space in our tiny house. The banister might be my favorite part — they did such a great job with that. And of course the mud, drywall, and paint jobs were great as well. And the new carpet is the cherry on top.

Edgar was always very responsive and easy to reach, from the very first phone call to set up the quote, all the way through the end of the project and keeping me posted about the shower door installation. Whenever we requested a change or an add-on, Edgar was quick to provide us with an updated quote and was really transparent about everything. There were no surprise extra fees, and the pricing for the project was very reasonable given the quality of the work.

Edgar’s crews were so great the entire time. I don’t remember all the names but there was a second Edgar, Alex, Alex, Chris, and a few others whose names I’ve forgotten. They were all experts in their specific skills and we were really impressed.

Side note: our old water heater happened to go out during the three weeks that this project was happening, and Edgar even helped set us up with his plumber contact to install the new water heater. We were so appreciative of that extra touch.

I only wish we had the budget to have Select Construction and Remodeling do more work on our house right now but we know who we’re reaching out to whenever we’re ready to remodel any other parts of the house in the future.

We had Select Construction work on a number of projects the last two years. They put in wood and tile floors through out the house, put in a new bathroom, finished 2 rooms & hallway in our basement, put new siding outside the house, 4 new windows, built a 2 room art studio for me and a new patio concrete slab. It was a joy having them work on these project! Everything was done professionally and very detailed work! They listen to our needs and made it all work! For future projects I would have them work for us again. Having a studio to work in was a dream come true! They greatly improved our home and my art production!
