I called to get an estimate for two jobs. He came to look at the project in his beat up minivan with post it notes all over the dash, and kept trying to sell me on cleaning our gutters. I said thanks, but that I could do it myself, and got a sexist comment in return.
He called later to give me a verbal quote (still including the gutter cleaning.) I called back to say we were interested in his completing one of the jobs, as we couldn't find anyone else to do it in our time frame. He asked, "what did I tell you I would do it for?" I told him the price he quoted, and he said, "that's ridiculous, I'm not doing it for that." And hung up on me.
Glad I didn't hire him. The guy working with him seemed nice enough. But, I was shocked at his lack of professionalism and rudeness.
