They delivered a home that marries coastal-grade strength with timeless elegance—built the right way to withstand our harsh shoreline—while finishing exactly on schedule and on budget. We couldn’t be more grateful for their expertise and integrity.

We engaged Sea Island Builders to raise, expand, and renovate our home on Sullivans Island. The home was originally built in 1890 and thus presented multiple issues regarding structural integrity, integration of the old and the new, and aesthetics. Three years after completion of the project, we can say without reservation that Sea Island performed in an outstanding manner in all respects. It coordinated seamlessly with the architect and engineer, curated and sequenced the necessary trades and subcontractors, and provided daily overall supervision. Perhaps most importantly, we found the people at Sea Island to be uniformly professional, experienced, and honest—they remain our friends to this day. While no renovation project is without unexpected issues, we worked through them and would not hesitate to engage Sea Island again.

A few years ago I had a major renovation done to my house by Sea Island Builders. Their skill, professionalism and attention to detail were outstanding. Recently I had some minor damage done to my house. I contacted Jason at Sea Island Builders and he quickly sent Rich, one of their superintendents, to assess the damage, schedule and supervise the repair to be done. All of Sea Island Builders' personnel involved exhibited the same skill, professionalism and attention to detail on my minor house repair as the did on my major renovation. I highly recommend Sea Island Builders.

We were referenced to Sea Island Builders by a banker who noted that you will get an outstanding, high end home and he has never had a problem with their projects. From our first meeting we were sure that those observations were accurate.

We worked with Jason and Anita with Sea Island Builders in the design of a home on Folly Beach. Collaborating 16-hours away on design, we found our experience to be outstanding. They are disciplined in their process and we found them to be the most complete in evaluating City requirements, the property topology, soil tests and the like. Their online tools are exceptional to help with communication and documentation. The design they developed met our conceptual requirements and included some wonderful flares to present a proposal that we were very happy with.

The level of detail and transparency in which they work leads to pricing ranges that provide a high degree of confidence in the estimates for the project and matches the pace of the layout phase of the project such that you can see the house take shape with pricing estimates that match the design. All of this happened on the timeline that was shared with us to the day without delay.

Although we did not select Sea Island Builders due to constraints on our side, we strongly recommend Sea Island Builders if you are looking for a high-quality home with highly predictable timelines and investment requirements!

I just want you to know how pleased with are with the work done by Sea Island Builders. As you know they did a complete renovation of a 20 year old house from top to bottom. There were tricky issues involved such as fitting an elevator in a tight space and enclosing porches to make them look as they were always just part of the room. Jeff Mathis along with Rich Baker did a excellent job coordinating everything. All of the sub contractors were real pros and in addition they were all polite and took pride in their work. The house went through a wonderful transformation and we love the way it turned out. Jason did a great job in providing detailed billing. So thanks for a job well done.
