Scott's Roofing - Denver, CO

Had such an amazing experience working with my project manager Jess. She fully explained the process of the whole repair and how it would work with our insurance and adjuster. Myself and 7 other neighbors had a wonderful experience with her and Scott’s roofing, that’s why we all referred them to each other. The project manager Jess was there for my insurance adjuster coming out and made sure they took picture of all damages, no matter how big or minimal it was. Jess communicated with me when appropriate, my insurance and adjuster took forever in responding/cutting our check. So wasn’t much that could be done on her end to speed up the process since my insurance was dragging. Jess came over multiple times to check up on myself/neighbors and also oversaw the project when everyone was starting to get their roofs redone. I’m not sure how the other person that reviewed before me got a quote 7k lower with another roofing company but you definitely get what you pay for which for her will probably be a leaky roof and flat tires. Jess’s team was amazing, the roof looks and functions perfectly, and I appreciated their upgraded roof tiles! The workers were quiet as they could be, super nice and picked up all the trash/nails. Jess was very transparent with me as far as costs and upgrades they do for their roofing compared to other builders. I really appreciate their hard work and care for my house. My sister used Scott’s for her roof in Lafayette. Scott’s seemed great at first, they quickly came to the house, came to be there while the insurance adjuster came and provided me a quote within a day or two. That’s when the communication nearly stopped entirely. I sent probably 5 emails trying to get some clarification and responses from them. I was very kind, just wanted a little follow up.

The quote was $7000 more than the other company we had quote us. I simply wanted to have a little bit of price transparency and I was told that they basically have no idea and no way to find out what the individual supplies cost or even what the supplies vs labor amounts were in the quote. They wouldn’t give me any information about why the quote was so much higher, just told me fine you can go with the cheaper company. I made it very clear I had full intent on using Scott’s, zero interest in the other, I just wanted some transparency, my sister recommended them to me after all and insurance was paying the bill. I am thoroughly disappointed by the lack of professional and communication I received. Hopefully this was a one off and the woman I was working with had some reason for the unprofessionalism, but they certainly lost the 18k+ we were going to hand over.

Scoots Roofing handled our hail damage claim after the May 23 hail storm. We had considerable damage requiring, the roof, the windows, the exterior all of it had been damaged. Not only did Scots's have a superior product as their basic roofing shingle we relied on them to supervise the contractors and watched them repair it all with speed, superior quality and professional service Jess, our Administrator was amazing and controlled the repair environment between the contractors and the insurance company with patience and expertise. I would highly endorse this company!!
