Yesterday was a big day at Casa Rubin

The shingles on the main house ~ 31 years old.
The shingles on the porch and garage ~ 23 years old.

My pictures do not accurately show all the damage Mother Nature has caused over the years. Missing shingles from wind storms (I picked up at least 75 from the yard), several areas growing moss, flaking, chipping, and overall deterioration.

Sean Nadeau (owner of Scott's Roofing Services) did an inspection and a plan was set in motion. The job initially was scheduled for the first or second week in June, but they were able to do the job sooner and in one day!

The first 2 pictures show the damage, the last picture shows a completed, professional job, that will outlast me and probably my children!

From beginning to end, Sean, Marissa, and Darby were professional, friendly, and easy to work with. They made a big decision on my part less stressful.

Their team arrived just after 6 am, which was VERY early for me! The noise of men on the roof, scrapping, and pounding was not as loud as I thought it would be. They were quick, and efficient. The protection of my landscaping and the clean up afterwards was exceptional.

A local business that I would highly recommend if you're in need of any kind of roofing job.

Now I'm thinking I may have to reach out to Sean's brother Scott Nadeau of New Leaf Landscaping, LLC Landscaping to get my neglected yard looking as good as my new roof.

Called for Scott's Roofing to come look at an issue with my shed knowing I also needed a new roof for my house. Sean came out and talked me through all of my concerns and what my possibilities were.

Sean arrived on time to view the work I was requesting which included soffit work and replacement of sheathing and shingles on our home. Scott reached back out within hours with a quote for the entire job, his cost was close to $7000, yes, $7000 cheaper than original quote from another company for identical work using identical products with a 20 year workmanship warranty. His crew arrived onsite at 0700 and packing up and leaving come 1730, entire job complete. Crew were very professional and my yard was kept clean, would never know they were even here. Hired Scott's roofing for a rubber roof and updated shingles, on an old farm house and they were extremely nice helpful, cleaned everything answered all my questions and were all and all a great work performance and experience will recommend them to everyone 10/10

They just did our roof this morning and did a great job. The only complaint I have is when they had taken the shingles up instead of walking them to the area they threw them and cracked our ceiling in our bathroom.

I would like to add that when you own a business, you learn from your mistakes that you own up to them it's a part of life as well as owning a business. What your employees do is for you to personally check out , you don't automatically so were not at fault. My parents raised us kids to speak our minds and be honest. My brothers had their own business, and not once called a customer a lier, they went straight to the problem and fixed it. So I am sticking to my word what the employees did wasn't right period. Sorry but that's the way it was and is.

The Scott's Roofing team completed our roof in 2 days and we're very pleased with the results. The team worked very hard over the two days it took to complete our asphalt and metal roof and were very respectful of our property. Did my roof on April 2 a day before a snowstorm. From the quote to the execution of the job the entire team from the office to the laborers were excellent.

I needed special attention to ice shielding on the rear of the house and they took care of it and went all the way us. They came as close as possible to color match on my garage which was not easy. The level of detail was impressive.

Came and took the dumpster away the very next morning.

Their services team is professional and well skilled to complete large residential projects in compressed timelines. Our 3,000 square foot home was completed in 8 hours. I was shocked! I would recommend all homeowners in the Merrimack Valley to call Scott and his team to learn how they can help!

Did a good job with roof and trim. Never came back to finish replacing the rest of the trim. Two months later, had some water come in near the chimney, no problem stuff happens. They came and fixed it a few days later, but when I asked if the fix was temporary or permanent I got no response.

We were very happy with a quick response from Sean to come give us an estimate! He gave a fair estimate and was great answering our questions! They came and did pretty much complete the roof and replace our skylight in one day except for a few little things they had to return to finish! Had a great experience with Scott's Roofing. I was selling my home, and had to replace my roof for the buyer. The closing date was approaching and time was of the essence. When they showed up they started working immediately. They ensured all my roof vents were redone with new ice/ shielding etc and removed all the mold plywood from a bathroom vent issue I had. The yard clean up was impeccable! I was worried with my dogs and kids there was going to be leftover nails etc. here and there and so far I haven’t found one yet playing outside daily. Any question I had I got an immediate response. Darby was very knowledgeable and professional and ensured I felt comfortable every step of the way. The roof looks great and it was completed all in one day! The dumpster was taken first thing the next morning with one last sweep for nails and the yard looked just like it did prior. Scott’s Roofing did an exceptional job replacing the roof on my daughter’s house. I got six quotes and Sean at Scotts’s offered the best price for the same or better quality of materials as the other contractors. The quote was complete, detailed, and transparent. When I asked for additional clarification to be included in the contract it was done without question.
The crew arrived on the promised day, worked efficiently and skillfully, and got the job done in one day as promised. When they left, the yard was as clean as before they started. The following morning the dumpster was hauled away and the yard given one more magnetic sweep.
The final price was exactly as quoted. My daughter and I could not be more pleased. It’s worth noting that the communication and customer service skills of Joyce and Marissa in the office are top notch. Emails , texts, and phone calls are promptly answered.

Scotts roofing put a new roof on my house and the price and the service was excellent. Joyce was great to work with and I was so impressed with her. She helped me get the blue roof I wanted and with dark purple shutters gray body, I just love the look. It has been over a year now and it is perfect. Scott’s roofing replaced my roof, also closing off one skylight and replacing another skylight. They were very clean and efficient. Unfortunately, an unexpected downpour happened prior to completion creating minor damage inside. Theses issues were addressed and taken care of by an excellent repair person in a timely manner. In short, we had a mixed experience - customer service was excellent and the majority of the roof installation was good but we were disappointed with some of the installation details that felt rushed and lacked quality.

The process started off very well! My wife and I just bought a new (to us) home and we knew we needed to get the roof replaced soon. Scott's was recommended to us and our real estate agent reached out to them on our behalf and they quickly got back to us with a proposal/estimate. After inspections, the proposal went through several revisions and that process was great! The staff was really helpful and we were able to finalize exactly what we needed.

The reason for my disappointment with their work is that there were some details of the roof installation that were not done as well as I'd hoped and that quality control should not be the responsibility of the client. The two main issues were the installation of the flashing around the chimney and the installation of vents in the roof.

With the chimney flashing, it felt like it was installed hastily. The metal itself was not neat and the caulking around the top was messy and had gaps where moisture could get in and cause damage over time. I showed them photos and they sent someone out the next day to clean it up, which I very much appreciated!

The roof vents also felt like they were hastily installed, without much finesse. There were two supports that ran horizontally across the length of the interior of the roof. The folks that installed the vents sawed through these supports and knocked them down. I understand they did not have access to the interior of the roof but I would've liked them not to have done so much damage to the supports. The house is quite old and I would like to preserve as much of it as possible. I spoke with the owner and he said they would schedule a time to have someone come over and put them back in place, which hasn't happened yet. He also asked me to leave a 5 star review and I said that I would give an honest review.

I've added some photos to help illustrate my concerns. There are two photos of the chimney flashing/caulking after the initial installation and one after they came again to fix/clean it up. Also, there are two photos of the supports that were knocked down and damaged from the installation of the vents.

I hope this is helpful. I realize most of this review focuses on the issues/concerns but the majority of the work was good and the staff has been excellent. However, this was a big investment for us and I was disappointed with the execution of some of the details.

Scott's Roofing stripped and replaced the front side of my roof that had been damaged by strong winds over the past several years. I called and got a fast response and they came out to do the job when they said they would. Their team came early in the morning and worked all day long to make sure they finished in one day... leaving me with a worry-free and great looking roof. They also cleaned up the mess as they went and when they finished, you couldn't even tell they had been there! I highly recommend Scott's Roofing!

I would be remiss if I did not share my experience and acknowledge the superb job Scott’s Roofing performed during the replacement of our 25-year old roof. From my initial email request for quote to the final nail driven and post installation follow-up to ensure I was pleased, the entire experience has been a pleasure and totally hassle free. In my experience, what sets Scott’s roofing apart from the others is that EVERY employee of the company took the time to listen to my questions and concerns and then take the time to answer and explain all aspects of the job. Office Managers Darby and Joyce are extremely knowledgeable of the business and both are two of the nicest folks you will ever meet and talk with. Communication was fabulous throughout the process never failing to respond by telephone or email in a timely fashion. Sean came to our house and spent one hour with me at our home and went over every detail of how the installation, safety and cleanup would take place. Sean then provided me with a verbal quote before he left and in just a few hours later, Joyce sent me the formal hardcopy quote via email… WOW! After a few days of consideration and review of other quotes, I went to meet up with Darby and Joyce at their office where I was welcomed by both Darby and Joyce. They then took the time to help me decide on a brand and color of shingle to best match our home and answer some more of my questions… I had lots of questions and they were very patient with me! After final review of the quote and determining the best color option for our home we signed the contract that very same day which got the ball rolling almost immediately. It was then that the magic took place. The crew was scheduled for the installation and materials were delivered to my home within a couple of days. The crew arrived on time and they were extremely polite, hard working, safe, and very respectful of our property. They were meticulous with the installation as well as the ongoing and final cleanup surrounding our home. Aside from the beautiful roof they installed, you would not have known they were on your property. It gets even better because Supervisors Paul and Kevin checked in on many occasions to ensure the installation was proceeding as planned and that I was pleased with the progress. Additionally, both Paul and Kevin took time out to educate me on proper ventilation of the roof while helping me to decide and select additional hip venting our roof was lacking. Both are extremely knowledgable and are an absolute pleasure to talk with and I’m glad we had that venting conversation! Upon completion of the installation, Vincent, whom is extremely personable and understanding of my concern, immediately corrected a minor issue I had with the new skylight installation. Kevin made the final inspection of the job and he went around our home with a magnetic roller further ensuring there was no nail left behind. Kudos to the entire Scott’s Roofing team! The crew were hardworking and safe and everyone on the Scott’s team were an absolute pleasure to speak with. Their workmanship was superb and overall value cannot be questioned. I have worked with dozens of contractors over the years of owning multiple homes and being the daughter of a contracting family. My roof was not a typical project. They had to strip the roof down to the pine tongue and groove cathedral ceilings and then build up a layer of installation then-new shingles. Complications arose along the way, but Scott's Roofing worked diligently to make it right. Great Job! The crews were always polite and the staff willing to think through the issues to solve the problem and delight the customer. They always return phone calls, emails, and text messages. I would highly recommend them.

We hired Scott's after interviewing many different companies. Scott's was very competitive in both their pricing and materials, as well as willing to negotiate with/against other offers.

We went with Scott's due to their openness to negotiate, aggressive pricing, material choices, an overall feeling/aura of professionalism, and reputation (both street and from our HOA company who uses them).

The morning of our scheduled day the team arrived on time and in quantity. Within 30min our house looked like the NASCAR pits. There were people all over the roof and grounds. The team was fast, efficient, and very respectful of our landscaping and property.

They actually had three houses scheduled that day in our neighborhood (good pricing and reputation spread) and easily managed all three with the same attention and respect in one day.

We realized a few weeks later (with all this rain) that there was some damage to our pre-existing gutter guards as a result of the new roof installation. Scott's was very understanding and willing to remedy the problem. Came by our house, flew a drone over the entire roof lines to assess the full extent and replaced not only the damaged gutter guards, but replaced all of them with an upgraded product. Very generous, quick and professional response.

Sean came out and took a good look at my roof and walked me through all of the steps involved in replacing the roof. He was kind, professional, and very interested in the history of my home. He answered all of my questions and even took some time to talk with me afterwards. I received an estimate that same day. The estimate was detailed and professionally written. Plus, the cost was very reasonable. I knew that Scott’s Roofing was the right contractor to replace my roof. The office staff was very helpful in the days leading up to the work being performed. They responded immediately to all of my questions and were very professional and enthusiastic. The crew that performed the work was very polite, hardworking, and skilled. The entire job took about seven hours. My new roof is beautiful! I chose the Harbor Blue shingles. I had high expectations going in. The quality of work exceeded those expectations. I just received a new roof by Scott’s Roofing. Sean Nadeau was a pleasure to work with. He was professional and knowledgeable while discussing the work that needed to be done. The workers had the job finished in almost one day. They worked tirelessly through the day stripping the roof, applying the rubber underlayment and had installed a beautiful Owens Corning Architectural Shingles along with new white drip edge and new ridge vents.
