We recently had a metal roof installed by Schroer and Sons. Our neighbor recommended them based on a similar project completed several years ago. Our experience was positive in every way. The initial conversations were straightforward with easy to understand pricing and options. The project was completed by a very hard-working and efficient crew who were also friendly and polite. Changes that were needed were handled in a very straightforward and understandable way. We love the look of the roof and are very happy with our experience.
Met with the owner to discuss a new metal roof. He reviewed the current state of our asphalt roof and then patiently answered lots of questions. We went over materials, installation process, warranty, current needed repairs, and more. It was a low pressure "honest" conversation. At the end of 2 hours, Ryan directed me to a couple of sources where I could keep researching for answers I needed. Two unique things I took away. 1) The company uses high-quality industry products that are almost the best guarantee you can get -will- last their advertised warranty period. 2) Schroer & Sons has a team + a refined installation process that is both efficient AND avoids potential defects later. This team does *not* want to have to return anytime in the future to perform warranty service work. So if you are looking for that "once & done", reach out to them.
For our house, the amount of needed repairs from the previous "average" asphalt installation + some leaking skylights means I have got some more homework to figure out before I can move forward with pursuing a metal roof that will last the rest of my lifetime. Nonetheless, I very much appreciated the honest assessment; still highly recommended.
Quality work by people who really seem to care. Very responsive to any concerns. Sales process was informative and low (no) pressure. Project well planned and executed. Price may be a bit higher but worth it.
