It's refreshing to find a company that takes pride in their work and will go the extra mile to do the job right. Dan and his team are incredibly reliable and keeps you updated on progress throughout the work. Having recently purchased an old 1920's home, I've had hired many contractors for various updates and repairs and Ryan Restorations has, by far and away, been the best experience.

Ryan Restorations has done excellent work on our slate roof and has helped to restore it to good condition. He is unbelievably responsive and his people are respectful of our property always leaving it in as good or better condition than they found it. They are highly recommended.

Mr. Ryan and his crew were very professional. He assessed the problem and addressed all the concerns I had about our concrete tile roof. I never felt like I was getting the "hard sell" pitch or unnecessary work "suggestions." Once we agreed on price and the date for work to be done, Mr. Ryan's crew was punctual and very respectful of our and our neighbor's property. Even though the area of roof repair was located next to our property line, they were extremely neat keeping construction mess a minimal as possible. Mr. Ryan also gave me updates through pictures to show me exactly what was done to my roof. I whole-heartedly recommend this company for any work you need done your tile roof.

Very professional and the work was completed much more quickly than we expected. The pictures with the white gutters are the before pictures--these were in desperate need of replacement. The penny brown gutters are the new ones. We were initially hoping to do copper, but they were very expensive. Dan came up with an alternative that was affordable for us and provided the look we wanted. We will be contacting Ryan Restorations for any future roof or gutter needs. Thank you so much!

Ryan Restoration did a great job repairing part of our 1924 tile roof. Dan answered all our questions, kept us in the loop, and gave us a fair price. The work was of high quality -- Dan shared photos of the work as it progressed - and we couldn't be more pleased.

We just recently had our roof replaced by Ryan Restoration, and I couldn’t be happier. Our house is in Evanston near the lake and is a historic property so you are limited to the kind of work that can be preformed on it, in other words you can't change much without a whole lot of paperwork and meetings. Last year we had a tree fall on the Solarium and damaged the copper and slate on it. We got three bids to do the work and Dan came in as the lowest so we decided to go with him. The plan was to replace the damaged slate with like color new and mix it with the old slate that he would save. Also in the bid was to repair the missing and broken tiles on the rest of the roof. Part way into the job he discovered there was substantial damage to the whole roof caused from hail. Needless to say this was way more then we expected. Dan worked with the insurance company “State Farm” and helped us file a claim with them. We did very little, He met with all the adjusters “there were quiet a few” and was able to come up with a agreement to replace the whole roof, with very little cost to us. I have to say his work is top notch, and his attention to detail is refreshing. Ryan Restoration is a small company and the owner works right along with his employes, so you get a quality job. All through the process Dan was available to answer any questions and spend as much time with you so you understood what he was doing, and the next step. I would not hesitate to recommend him, and its a bonus to have a quality company that does slate roofs working here in Evanston.

Ryan Restorations have done a great job helping us with new gutters and plumbing/bathroom fan venting for our 96 year old clay tile roof. We had a large scale renovation going on, and Dan coordinated with our other contractors (plumbers, carpenters) to get the job done correctly and efficiently. Most recently, Dan helped us repair some squirrel entry points where we had animals trying to nest in our attic for the winter. Everything is a bit more complicated with a tile roof as other contractors won't touch it. Dan was able to coordinate with our pest control company's trapping process and help us resolve the squirrel problem. Ryan Restorations has been easy to work with and the quality of their work seems excellent.
