I always try to support local businesses over big corporate ones for this very reason. The customer service is outstanding. The people at RW Harper are honest, relatable, and will work with you through finance situations as well. They are quick and efficient with quality work. Thanks y’all!

We have been using them for almost 20 years. We have 3 types of roof on our 100 year old house. Harper and Son came out and replace the flat roof, later on the slate roof, and asphalt roof. We have them come out every few years to make sure the are still intact. I just recommended them to 2 friends.

I don't think Google offers enough space to say all the good things I could say about this company. I had two different roofing problems because I have a "regular" roof and a flat roof both as part of my house. All the other estimators who came tried to up sell me by telling me I needed to change the flat roof to a sloped one, which would have cost a lot more than I could afford. Ronnie from Harper came out and gave me a real quote for what I actually needed. The two crews came and both did an absolutely perfect job. Both types of roof are now on and secure and are gorgeous. I can't thank RW Harper enough for having such fantastic people.

On time and professional repair. Gutter, flashing, and roof were hit with branch. Came out with supplies and fixed it with no problems.

RW Harper & Son helped us with our leaky roof. The items they were able to fix, they fixed immediately and were very responsive.

We had an odd roof situation that they attempted to fix, but we’re not able to fix. After unsuccessful attempts, they quickly refunded our money for the portion they weren’t able to solve.

I would definitely do business with them again.

We purchased a home from a 92 year old lady that had documentation for a flat roof and front porch flat roof redone in 2017 by RW Harper to the tune of $5500. She was quoted for replacing damaged plywood, put down 1" ISO insulation and a full TPO roof. Fast forward to 2020, we are having a contractor redo our fascia boards and inform us that our front porch is rotted out, has multiple issues with water draining under the TPO roof and needed to be completely redone, including the valleys of the shingle roof flowing in. The plywood was not replaced, there was no insulation installed and I was told the total materials cost would be in the $100-200 range. This company clearly took advantage of an elderly lady by providing a cosmetic fix that exacerbated water damage to the structure and charged her full amount. Our roof was still under a workmanship warranty for two years, but I am no longer interested in having any work done by RW Harper as they do not act in the best interest of the customer.

I had my grand mother (In Hopewell) call Harper because of a roof leak. She said the worker was very polite and explained to her what the issue was with her roof. They came back promptly for the repair and she has not had a leak since. THANK YOU!!!
She went to the office to pay in person and the secretary even gave her a discount on her repair. She explained that the service took less time than originally quoted and made an adjustment on her bill.
Harper is very honest and i would reccomend them to anyone. Thank you again for helping my grand mother.

Great company! When our roofer couldn’t fix a roofer leak before Hurricane Florence, my painter recommended them. They were out the same day! I have a new roofer!

Harper is our go-to contractor for repairs on our flat rubber roof at work. They get our leaks fixed timely and for a reasonable price. We have also had two larger projects that we got multiple bids for, but still ended up using Harper each time.

We had a leak in our roof and we could not get it fixed. A good friend recommended we call RW Harper. We made an appointment for 11:30 am today and TJ Evans showed up on time and was actually a few minutes early.

He found the source of the problem and was able to get it fixed fast and at a great price. Fast, friendly, efficient and a great value.

Thanks!

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
