Tom and his crew from Rutland Chimney were terrific today and on their first visit too.
We needed a replacement chimney chase. It was custom, stainless steel and quite large.
We are very happy with the work, which included a full chimney cleaning.
We'd recommend them highly.

I went under contract on a house recently and there was a chimney concern noted in the disclosure. It was a pretty vague issue and I didn't have a sense of how problematic it actually was. I reached out to Dan at Rutland Chimney and he really hooked me up. Total stand-up guy that was responsive to my inquiry, listened to my concerns, walked me through his observations, and grounded the whole issue out with some legwork directly with the Chimney Safety Institute of America. He didn't even get any work out of it (yet), but he treated me as a valued customer with straightforward answers and attentiveness just because I needed a little help. We had a wood burning insert installed in bethel by Dan and Tom and crew… this was by far the most pleasant and attentive company I found to do the job after SEVERAL quotes from other local places. Rutland Chimney Services did an outstanding Job for me recently when I needed my home's chimney inspected.

Very happy with the customer service and crew that did the cleaning. Scheduled the work in less than a week from the initial call. The crew showed up when they said they would and were efficient in completing the work. Friendly service and did a great job cleaning up. Will schedule them again next fall.

The techs were punctual, prepared, cheerful and polite.
They performed inspections and cleaning efficiently and without leaving any mess. Also, they commented on the ash residue in the chimneys and type of wood and manner of its burning. Overall, great service.

Consistently professional. Dan and his team are always very courteous. They know their stuff when it comes to chimneys. We had them do some repair work last Spring and have used them for several years now to clean the flue on our wood stove as well.

I had my fireplace insert installed over the summer, they did a fantastic job! They helped me figure out the best insert for my home and were very informative on any questions that I had.

Recently I gave them a call with a question and they stopped by same day to look at the insert and were able to explain what was going on.

Excellent service! Same day call back and assistance within a day or so. They fixed the problem the same day it was assessed. Very friendly and helpful. I will definitely call them again.

Not only did they do my chimney repairs but they did it ASAP. I spoke with them on a Tuesday and it was done by Friday. They guys could not have been nicer and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done correctly. I highly recommend them .

Would recommend this crew to anyone. Super professional, quick and thorough with the fireplace clean and inspection, and left us with some great fire safety tips if we have renters someday.

UPDATE (July 2024) - Dan, Garrett, Daniel, and Tom returned to our camp to clean, repair, and re-line our chimney and did a fantastic job all around. They went the extra mile to trim some tree branches and remove an old antenna from our roof. The four of them are thorough, dependable, and do great work. New chimney cap, chimney liner, damper were installed as well as some masonry work. We are extremely satisfied and very pleased with their work. We will definitely call on them again for chimney services and maintenance in the future, and highly recommend them to all!

(May 2024) Dan and Garrett were timely, professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. They did a thorough inspection and walked through their recommendations. Cleaned up afterwards and left without a trace! Looking forward to having them do the work to get our chimney repaired and our fireplace up and running again. Will continue to use Rutland Chimney for any maintenance and/or additional repairs that are needed going forward. Would highly recommend them to anyone that needs fireplace/chimney work!

We've used Rutland Chimney Services for many years. They've always done a great job inspecting our chimneys (we have 5 flues) and cleaning them in preparation for the wood-heating season. This year, 2 of our flues showed signs of age and they recommended liners. They came yesterday afternoon and completed lining of both chimneys- no mess, no fuss. The bill was painful, but losing a house to an unsafe flue would certainly be far worse. I heartily recommend Rutland Chimney Services- they are honest and skilled. What more could one ask of a business?
Update 7/24- They came in appt window, cleaned the chimneys, and cleaned up after themselves. What more can one ask? Plus they were pleasant and friendly- as always.

This family own business has all the values that a home owner wants when dealing with any home improvements. I had a chimney that was 100% clogged from another company doing a rebuild of half of my chimney and Rutland Chimney saved the day. I couldn't have been more impressed with the professionalism and compassion this company has for there clients.

They installed our new stove and a chimney liner today. The stove was 700 lbs, so they had to get some extra guys. Thanks for making it work, fellas.
