A few years ago we had solar collectors installed on about 40% of our roof. We were advised to have new roofing installed beforehand, so we did - but only on the area where the collectors were to go. Now it was time to do the other 60%. By now it was ancient and in need of replacement. Jim and crew had done the first part very well, at a fair price, so we called him again. Jim and his team again did a remarkable job of tearing out the old shingles and installing the new ones. It looks great now. They were
extremely fast and they did an excellent job of cleaning up all the debris a job like this is bound to create. Their experience and expertise was obvious.

I am very pleased and recommend them highly.

These guys were great. They were professional, efficient and honest. Best of all, we got some bad shingles from the manufacturer and after a cumbersome return process (not their fault), they returned and replaced the defective shingles.

Jim Mailhiot was very prompt in his response to our roofing problems. He was able to fit us in very quickly and was able to install our new roof on the day before Thanksgiving. This was very fortunate since it was leaking and we really couldn't wait until spring. He did a great job.

Jim called me right back after I left a message. He came by that same day (!!) to evaluate the problem. Then the work was actually completed earlier than expected. Amazing.

The Mailhiot team was impeccable in their communication, punctuality, and execution of the repair. I called 14 roofers, but it was only the Mailhiot team followed through and worked on a Sunday morning of a long weekend, and got my job done pronto. Jim came right out when we couldn’t while we were struggling to get any other roofing contractors to even call us back. They answer/return calls promptly.

We had serious ice dams on our roof this winter that were causing leaks inside the house. Jim got back to us immediately and came out to help the next day. He and his coworker spent hours freeing our multi-level roof and recommended the installation of snow pans to prevent future problems. The cost for his services was very reasonable, as was the quote for the snow pan installation. We will definitely use Jim to help us with our roofing needs this spring and in the future!! Superb experience. Start to finish beginning with the quote to the final bid and installation Jim made the process flawless. The father and son team was upfront and informative in our decision for the type of roofing and grade of materials. Of the 5 company quotes I requested Mailhiot Roofing was the most informative and competitively priced. They explained their approach to the job and potential weather delays with backup plans if needed. Jim was responsive at each step and followed through in a timely manner.
The two assistants were professional and meticulous with their work as well. The team started early to prep and strip the roof as well as to avoid damaging the new shingle roof in the heat of the day. They applied all the materials they quoted and were especially attentive to the risk areas around chimney/ vent pipes and gutters.
The team kept an orderly work zone around the house with tarps and materials. There were no surprises or added costs do to the knowledge and experience of the Father and son team.

The Mailhiot family is the BEST SOURCE EVER for an extraordinarily thorough and "beyond" perfection in all aspects of roofing installation and repair. My roof is complex, and due to the building's location/orientation only the North side needed to be re-done due to a great many winters of ice that had been retained over the Mine is a HUGE Colonial Revival (with a street-side second floor gable) erected in 1898. The Mailhiot family/company was a pleasure to work with, engaged and understanding, polite, thorough, and absolutely the best it could be. Get ready to wake up early, though! Thanks guys. We saw this roofer working on a house near ours in Ludlow, Vt. and asked them to come look a reroofing (rubber membrane) project we needed done. They came over just as they had covered their other project and it had started to rain. Our project was on a relatively flat roof so we all climbed up to measure in the rain! We got a quote within a week and decided to get the job done by them, a father and son led team. With some reminders, they started and finished the job within a month, two weeks after we gave them a down payment. Excellent workmanship. No leaks! Only gave a 90 day warrantee, but stated they would be around to fix any problems with their work.

These guys are great! They put a roof on my house in Windsor in 2016. They did an excellent job and the price was reasonable. The guys were polite and professional, they were on time, finished quickly without cutting corners, and cleaned up every nail and spec of old roofing. We're very happy with our new roof.
