We had terrible leaks for years with at least four ceiling leaks inside. Russell's came very highly recommended although we had to be patient; they finally came last month & replaced the roof. The crew were charming, hard working fellows & rather entertaining and the work looks great, also good cleanup. Today with all the showers all day long, we have no sign of any leaks. Hats off to Russell's they have my sincere appreciation & thanks.

I was conflicted with this review because they were very nice and came out when they said, but I have had them out to patch the roof and it literally keeps leaking in the same place. Like, what are they doing up there? Now that we are in the midst of a deluge, I have buckets out again. Don't water your money.

Contacted the company to make significant repairs to our barn roof. The “Misfits Crew” showed up on time, as promised, and was very thorough and professional.
This was the third time we have used Russell’s Roofing, and we have always been pleased with their service, and results!

We called them on Monday and they came on Tuesday in pouring rain to fix our roof. They immediately knew what was wrong. They came back the next day with a new chimney cap and also discovered another problem that they fixed on the spot. We could not have asked for a better experience. The 2 men that came were outstanding, they certainly did their job. We cannot thank them enough.

Don't waste your time calling these people. They don't seem to want your business anyway. They told me they would be out in about a week to give me an estimate. Never came out, never called me, never explained why they didn't want my business. Perhaps it was because I live in WV. I hate people who are unprofessional and don't have the decency or the courtesy to at least call you back and say they can't make it out to you house after promising you they'll be there. I don't care how great a roofer they may be, if they can't treat you with respect and show you the courtesy you deserve as a customer, their skills are meaningless. We found a much better and more professional company in Martinsburg who showed up on time, the same day we called him, gave us a thorough outline of what he would do to replace our roof and a price that was affordable. He put Russell's Roofing to shame. They should take some lessons from him and learn how to treat customers.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
