Royal Farms 1959

Stopped in and needed to use the bathroom. There was no toilet paper. Called the store to ask someone to come in and drop me some paper and the message says, “Sorry there is no associate to take your call.” A kind lady eventually walks in to the BR and passes me some paper. I get to check out with my coffee and an employee calls over her shoulder and says to another employee, “Hey (insert name), how’s the book going?” Really?? No one can answer the phone but some employee can be sitting on the clock reading her book? Just wow.

Ordered a sausage burrito with pepper jack cheese, mayo, bacon and extra egg. Order #968 on 06/22/2024 at around 1:50 pm. After waiting for over 20 minutes watching the two employees prepare orders that were bigger and came after mine, a third employee came rushing in to prepare my burrito. The tortilla was never warmed, so it cracked in several places. Badly wrapped. No cheese, no extra egg, no bacon, no mayo. Everything inside was cold with the exception of the sausage that was kinda warm. I understand mistakes happen especially because they had many many orders to prepare. But my order was a simple 1 item order, and everything was wrong.

Stopped here for breakfast recently and they have advertised 2 for $6 breakfast sandwiches, found out it only applies to sandwiches in the warmer after i had already ordered. So we were going to just buy 1 sandwich and the young lady Ashley cooking took it upon herself to offer to pay for both herself which was greatly appreciated. Ive always experienced great customer service here otherwise.

Stopped here for gas and a bathroom stop on a late night drive home. The women’s bathroom is absolutely disgusting! A horrific smell, toilet paper all over the floor, and the stall so small you can hardly turn around inside. The walls are covered in splatters and dust. Do yourself a favor and don’t stop here.
I would never eat food from a place that is so dirty.

We stopped for the Tesla charger. While that was fine, the Royal Farms was awful! The bathrooms were filthy and clearly not cleaned in ????? Trash all over the floors, while at least two employees were there in the store doing nothing. They didn't have basic things like napkins etc. If you don't need the charger, I'd recommend you keep going!

It's just another Royal farms gas station. Just like the rest of them, it does have diesel pumps, so if you have a larger rig that takes diesel you can feel free to pump here and there are plenty of regular pumps that offer three grades of fuel. The parking lot and the area itself could use a little cleaning but that seems to be just par for this part of town to be honest.

Pésimo servicio hay en especial una cajera que le puedo llamar racista con los latinos se porto grosera y altanera le pedí gasolina en la pompa 3. Y nunca lo puso regrese a decirle que si podía checar mi pompa y me iso formarme en la fila de 7 personas cuando faltaban 3 personas por atender me grita diciendo oye tú pediste 60 dólares en la pompa 7 le dije no en la 3 solo se sonrió una sonrisa descaradamente burlona y me dijo muévete ala pompa 7 ahí puse tu gasolina.

{ Sin contarles que avía dejado mis 2 niñas dentro del carro porque estaba muy fuerte la temperatura y solo iba de prisa así que no quería bajar a mis hijas pues solo necesitaba gasolina de ese lugar }

Ok regreso al carro lo muevo alas pompa 7 y nada que tenía activo mi gasolina
Regreso una ves más y le pregunto qué pasa con mi gasolina y solo me mira se vuelve a burlar y me dice deja checar y dice está lista creo que no lo sabes hacer ok casi pierdo mi paciencia vuelvo a salir me dirijo asia mi auto a pago el motor nueva mente intento racargar y nada no tengo el servicio ok respiro agarro ami bebé y ami hija de 7 años y boy una ves más a reclamar el servicio al mirarme se sonríe y me dice en que pompa estás le contesto en la 7 dijo que necesitas a ser quieres tu gasolina o tu dinero de regreso pero diciéndome eso noto que y tenia mi dinero en su mano izquierda ya muy molesta de escucharle le dijo dame mi dinero de regreso ya no quiero nada ella solo estaba jugando conmigo como al gato y el ratón en verdad que los empleados de esa Royal farms son muy groseros y altaneros aparte que sela pasan fumando cigarrillos en las entradas del lugar asen ver ese establecimiento horrible
Creo que el dueño regala su dinero pagándoles un sueldo que no se merecen ya que en ningún momento a tienden a sus clientes con amabilidad,atención y respeto

Went to get some chicken at lunch today and was absolutely floored by the employees and the disrespectful attitude towards each other and the customers… the two employees who were cooking the chicken used fowl language and did nothing but complain about the orders… something really needs to be addressed at this store…

I would give no stars if I could. The worst royal farms ever. If you're looking to change your kids inside. Don't bother. They don't have changing tables in either bathroom. Not enough parking. Only one person working the register. The line was going all around the store we could barely walk in there. How does a gas station/rest stop that's a main stop on a road run this way? Horrible

Gas pumps could not read cards successfully. I and other customers had to try various pumps til we found one that read the card.
African American woman cashier spoke to me rudely like I was inconveniening her. She also did not provide a receipt or ask if I wanted a receipt. There were no bags for Customers to carry items out the store. The water in the restroom was hot! It was painful to try and wash hands. The food I had ordered was not warm when I got it. Every ingredient was less than room temperature. Flies swarmed the building inside and out. Pass this location.

This is the absolute worst royal farms I’ve ever stepped into. The men’s restroom smelled of urine and I assume it was urine all over the floors. The mirror was so dirty nothing could be seen in it. An associate was inside the restroom cleaning the toilet with a mop. He finished what he was doing and left. No attempt was made to actually clean anything. This store needs serious help. I highly recommend finding another place to stop for any needs.

Worst Royal Farms I’ve ever went to. Ordered food then they had nothing, so he ended up giving us substitutes. Our fries changed to mash potatoes.. Mac and cheese mash potatoes and more mashed potatoes. paid 30 for mash potatoes and a sandwich. He didn’t want to give a refund, or anything else as a substitute. Worst place. Trash everywhere outside . I use to love Royal Farms . Never again

The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star is because this Royal Farms slacks on keeping their major sodas stocked in the coolers, like Mt. Dew, diet coke.
They have the best fried chicken and tator logs you will find north of the Carolinas.

Not that I expected much considering the location but The cashier was on her phone yapping about personal stuff the whole time. The guy working behind the counter was too lazy to actually make any food so I just told him cancel my order and I grabbed something quick to eat from the grab and go. If you don't want to work just stay home. Ridiculous. The owner should consider actually having someone there managing with 77 reviews and only two stars lol. Winners!

I have never these kind of hotdogs. They just got this out from freezer and suddenly they put it at her at the grill or maybe an oven. You can see the hot dogs. Other places they do this on a slow rollers and it’s slow heat which make them really tasty. That’s a four dollar thing but I’m going to throw it out now.

This location has gone down hill drastically. This past year, every time I go in there, it's filthy and disgusting. The monitors for ordering food look like they've not been cleaned in years. The food has also degraded. The fries were more like grease globs than potatoes! Not even edible! The smell of death coming from the garbage cans, the litter all around the property, DISGUSTING! Shame on you litter bugs and management for not doing your job. I'll pay more for gas somewhere else!

I had always heard the chicken was good at Royal Farms. Wish I had read the reviews first. Food was marginal and expensive. The drink machine was not draining but the ice dispenser was working and the staff person wouldn't let me get ice. He said I could "buy a bag." I couldn't find napkins or paper towels anywhere in the store. I was told "we don't provide those anymore." Bathroom was filthy. The staff could care less...about anything.

The worst I have ever been too the older black lady is very rude serving the food they take care of the locals first I waited 30 minutes and nothing when I ask about my order she got angry and I’m black myself they need to shut this royal farms down it’s too unorganized

This is the worst place in the world the bathrooms are filthy the chicken was bad we ordered classic but it came spicy the rest of our order was messed up too if you needed to pee just go on the road the only good thing about royal farms is leaving the place

I ordered their very advertised chicken sandwich, what I got was a joke. They basically put one chicken tender in a bun and then the guy squished it all like a hot dog. When I asked why he did not respond. Then I asked for the bacon (I paid extra for it) he said they are out of bacon. I said that I already paid and he said that was not his problem. I then proceeded to get a refund and had to wait at least 10 minutes with the cashier that was very rude too. I will never go back to a royal farms in my life.

Stopped to use the restroom and grab a snack when I was traveling… the bathrooms were not cleanly and the credit card machine at checkout was disgusting! There is no way they ever clean that credit card machine that’s touched by hundreds of customers a day! This is unacceptable in these times! Do better!

This place is disgusting. It's dirty and the wasn't soap in the bathrooms. Not only no soap but no soap dispenser. Meaning there hasn't been soap in there for a long time and doesn't look like there's any plans to have soap. I wouldn't eat food from here if you paid me.

This amazing man at the deli was super awesome and made our order very fast! We came pretty late and he still had a smile ♥️ I think he was new (I’m a regular) and seemed like he has worked there forever!

You get 1 because ZERO isn't an option. Your employee in the deli (using that term loosely) was worthless, uncaring, lazy, unprofessional and many other adjectives. I ordered a chicken sandwich - it came plain because he said he didn't have any sauce. It was COLD. I also ordered a chicken breast. It too was COLD. I also ordered potatoes. They were COLD as well... I am legitimately sorry that this is the only place open on the virginia side of the DeMarVa Penninsula...

Do NOT get food from this deli. I spend alot of time on the shore and this deli has never given me edible food. 3 times, it goes straight to the trash every time. The other royal farms on the shore are a hit and a miss sometimes, but it's always something I can eat. I wouldn't feed anything from this deli to my dog. Go anywhere else.

I'm not sure if this is the one, but in one of the royal fars along route 13 there is a bathroom stall in the ladies room that is impossible to use. There is literally only inches of space between the door and the toilet. It's uncomfortable and weird.
