Customer feedback on USA Home Construction reveals a mixed sentiment. While many reviews highlight the exceptional service, promptness, and professionalism of Nathan and his team, several complaints point to significant issues with communication and management. Some customers reported delays and difficulties in reaching out to the company's leadership, leading to frustration. Despite these concerns, positive experiences regarding the quality of work and customer service are prevalent, suggesting a disparity in consistency across different projects.
- Nathan was incredibly responsive throughout the entire process.
- The actual roof repair performed by the workers was exceptional.
- They were very reasonably priced, arrived on time, and did a fine cleanup job.
- The professionalism of the crew and the top-quality workmanship made this group receive a 5-star rating.
- I would without any hesitation recommend their services to anyone!
- It’s hard to get hold of Nathan on the phone; he always has an excuse.
- The timelines committed were not met.
- Dealing with the company's 'leadership' was nothing short of a nightmare.
- I tried for 4 months to resolve the issue through the head foreman, but he eventually went 'lost comm.'
- I was shocked to see no roofers there doing the work on the agreed date.

Highly mismanaged, they did not complete the work as committed. It’s hard to get hold of Nathan on phone. He always has an excuse. The timelines committed were not met. Be careful, don’t pay till your work is completed to your satisfaction. I am glad I did not trust him with other projects.

If you are thinking of using US Home Construction as your roofing contractor, I urge you to think twice about your decision. Learn from my mistakes and don’t fall into the trap. My ordeal started with them on October 2, 2023, the agreed upon date that they were supposed to come to my property at Rehoboth Beach for the roofing replacement installation. I left my home early for the 5-hour drive to Rehoboth Beach and booked one night in a local hotel with an expectation of seeing roofers beginning to rip off old shingles that day. I was shocked to see no roofers there doing the work. I called Nathan, who handled the contract, to ask why no one had shown up. He was embarrassed and admitted that he had messed up the date; he apologized and proposed a new installation date on October 9, 2023. I had no choice but to accept his offer because I had already paid significant portions of the cost. Nonetheless, this mistake should never happen for a reliable contractor, his mistakes caused two days of my time, 5 hours driving time each way plus tolls, and all room & board expenses.
This saga didn’t stop here. The roofing was completed on October 10, 2023. I was at the site to observe the installation. Nathan told me how good the job was done and said I would be happy. He made an offer of painting the ceiling inside the house to compensate his mistakes. We agreed that I paid the rest of balance but withheld $1,000 dollars until the interior ceiling paint was done. The ceiling paint has not been done till now.
On January 14, 2025, my tenant started to complain that the ceiling was leaking and sent me several pictures. I arranged a handyman to check the leak, the inspection from the handyman was that it came from the joint between the roofing and the wall, he suspected that flashing was not properly installed. I mentioned it Nathan and sent him all the pictures, he didn’t return my call, I kept calling him and asked what he planned to do about the roofing leak. Again, he gave no answer, even his text said he would call me back, but he never did. He frequently used delayed tactics not to answer my calls, such as he is in a conference, he will call back soon, but doesn’t. Sometimes he even said he would call me at a given time, but again he never did. He lied to me twice about sending his roofer to check out the leak, first on 1/23/25, and then on 2/4/25. Again, he didn’t fulfill his promises. Nathan can’t be trusted, he will deny his responsibility while he makes mistakes and used all kinds of reasons including lies to escape what he was obligated to do. All of these were facts with documents, attached are few pictures showing the lousy job US Home Construction has done on my house. Their roofers lack the required skill set of proper roofing installation and the manager is unprofessional and untrustworthy. I just want let everybody know my ordeal before you make the same mistakes as I did by choosing this irresponsible contractor.

I can't recommend Nathan and his team highly enough! They transformed our basement into two beautiful offices in less than a week. The pricing was very competitive, and Nathan was incredibly responsive throughout the entire process. His team attentively addressed all my requests and executed them flawlessly. I had been searching for a general contractor who could complete this for months. I plan to have him do a couple more projects on the house in the coming months.

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
