The Brothers That Just Do Gutters - Lynchburg, VA

I had problems that 3 sections overflowed. Brother Gutters came out and gave me a quote. I had to pay 50% up front. They did the work but 2 still overflowed. I got another quote but I questioned why? You didn’t fix them. The smart comment was that the workers did what was on the quote. So they worked on them again. 1 was fixed but the other was not. I called again. Their person was not friendly. I was told that the last bill was not paid and they would not do anything until the bill was paid. It was paid that day. I contacted them again 2-3 days later. Again, the comment was the bill was not paid. I sent a copy of the bank transaction that they received their money the day after I paid it.. I never got an apology for accusing me of not paying my bill.

I called another company. They came out, assessed the gutter that was not fixed and 15 minutes later they had it working. They charged me $50. I paid over $1,000 to Brother Gutters for their terrible workmanship and inability to fix my problem. I would recommend finding someone else.

Arrived, did the job as defined in the estimate, and left the area clean & tidy. Crew was polite and answered my questions. Definitely would use them again.

Working with Brothers was a great experience. My estimate appointment was kept and straightforward, and the quality of work and cleanup afterwards was stellar. Do not bother with any other company!

Working with Brothers Who Do Gutters was a seamless experience from start to finish. They were quick to provide an estimate and really took the time to listen to our needs. Given the amount of rain we get, they recommended and installed larger gutters and even buried a pipe to help redirect water away from our home. The entire process—from the first call to installation—was efficient and professional. We’re hopeful this will make a big difference in keeping our basement dry on rainy days. Did great work installing new gutters on one side and cleaning existing ones. The crew was friendly and adapted to some challenges my gutters presented along the way without increasing the price of labor. They also cleaned the gutter contents off of my deck when they were done which I appreciated.

Hunter and DJ did an awesome job replacing the front and back gutters on our house. They arrived on time, answered all of our questions, and made sure all of the property was clean before they left.

I needed my gutters replaced and the team from Brothers Gutters arrived on time and worked steady. The new gutters look good and I appreciated that they crew noted that I didn't need all of the estimated work and my invoice was adjusted down. My experience was very good and would them to anyone in need of gutter work.

This is the only company you want to hire to do your gutter work. I had a roofing company install gutter guards and afterwards rain water would pour over the guards like a waterfall. BTJDG came out and extended the downspouts from the third floor directly into the second floor gutters and 100% corrected the problem. While here, they discovered that the water pouring over my large covered deck gutter was the result of the deck sinking. They notified me that I had a serious problem that needed immediate attention and they temporarily hung the gutter on a pronounced slant to get the water to the downspout. I hired a contractor to lift the deck and discovered that two of the three 8X8 support posts were rotted in half! The only thing holding up my deck was the roof attached to the house. My contractor said the deck could have failed and someone could have been injured or killed. The deck now has new concrete footers and posts. After the deck repairs I called BTJDG to come back out to readjust the deck gutter and set it permanently. They were able to fit me in 3 days earlier than anticipated and the gutter looks great!
Also during their initial visit, they indicated they could do the job in less time than estimated. Not only did they tell me the deposit I gave them was adequate to cover the whole job, they refunded an additional $200 from the deposit!
You will not find a better gutter company anywhere in SW Virginia. Honest, hard working, attentive, arrives on time. Their attentiveness prevented a catastrophic structural failure that could have been tragic. Thank you BTJDG! I recommend them to everyone.

Guy came and checked everything, never went up a ladder and actually looked at the gutters. Told me an estimate would be to me that day. I had to reach out to them the next day to get my estimate. Fool that I was, I approved it, paid half as a deposit, and was put on schedule. Guys came unannounced, 2 days early. Set up ladders, looked at gutters, told me they could not put guards on. So much for the guy who say they could without looking. Cleaned the gutters and left. Were here about an hour. They told me the shop minimum was $350, but were confidant that I would be charged less, as they really did not do anything. I got an email invoice for $350. They have not, for a week, however, refunded the remainder of my balance, or responded to my emails about all this. Poor showing, poor business. Very unprofessional. Call anyone but them if you need gutters or guards.
Add on……. After this review posted, Someone emailed me to claim the check was in the mail, but as I had not received it yet, they would mail another. They also said that they would refund me an additional amount if I took down this review. I responded that as soon as I received the check for the additional amount, I would remove this review. And then no response from them again. I guess they don’t have the faith in me removing it before payment, like I wrongly had in them when I payed half down for work they claimed to be able to do, and obviously are not capable of. Please do yourself a favor and NEVER call these shady, crooked people for any work.

Guttering was installed never did come back and correct the issue the guttering is uneven one of the owners come out and said it would be corrected never was called endless times no response. Every contractor that's come out here looks at the guttering and ask who installed it there's about 3 in uneven.

I had a flood in my basement that turned out to be from clogged gutters. I was so afraid another storm would come and flood the basement before someone could look at the gutters. Jeremiah and Andrea bent over backwards to arrange for a same day visit. Jeremiah saw the gutters were clogged and did a quick unclog in the problem area. He’ll be coming back to do gutter guards to help keep the flooding from happening again. I won’t forget their kindness and they have my loyalty moving forward.

The Brothers did an excellent job of cleaning my clogged up gutters. Additional work was needed and required replacing rotted wood and a sagging gutter. The crew did a fine job especially since the work was above the third floor. Highly recommended.

The installation crew was on time, polite, professional and did quality work. They answered all my questions and did a great job with the gutter installation. They even pointed out potential problem areas on the front porch where I hadn't gotten siding installed yet. They made appropriate adjustments to make sure I wouldn't have problems later on as the siding project progressed.

Went the extra mile to find the hard to get gutter and downspout parts to repair storm damage. Without the extra effort we would have had to wait nearly 2 additional months to complete the repair instead of the approximate 3 weeks to complete the job.
