Used them for a roof and gutter replacement. Always arrived exactly when they said they would, both for the bids/consult appointments and the work itself. They were willing to meet with me and my wife and walked us through the process and answered all of the many questions we had. The roof replacement was chaotic and messy (just as they warned it would be) but they made sure everything was clean and in tip top shape by the end of the process. I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.

Can’t say enough regarding working with Roofsmart to take care of the damage we incurred during a hail storm in late April. Brody Griffin worked directly with us, our insurance company and adjuster to get our claim approved. The 6 crew members that did our repairs were very professional and knowledgeable in all the work that was done. They did a complete tear off of the roof on our home, detached garage and shed, installed shingles and vents and did a complete cleanup of all areas in 8 hours. The guys at Roofsmart put a new roof on our home last year. They did a fantastic job!! They took care of everything, including working directly with our insurance. We are currently selling this home and the new buyers had a question about the roof. Daryl came out and did an inspection to make sure everything was ready for the new owners. The work was completed. I happened to look up and saw some work very poorly completed. They did come back and correct but I'm old and if I hadn't got up and checked the roof I may have had leak problems. I felt for 20000 plus dollars the job should have been finished. Need to check their work

Roofsmart replaced my siding and a custom bay window in addition to my mother-in-laws roof and siding. We could not be happier with the results! No need to keep looking, this is your roofer! Who has experience in choosing a roofer? Hopefully you do this once only in your life. So how do know what to ask? Roofsmart and Brody walked us calmly, Clearly through the whole process and even though I knew this was going to be my choice after his visit I got three other bids. They were Not even close on cost or customer service. We discovered the business model is their office is their vehicles, in front of our home during the entire job, working with the crew. They saved us so much money. Answered our calls and text immediately. Our anxiety was high, as this was a new unexpected cost. Brody was so clear, so calming. Do you remember when it was always all about customer service. They still do it and unlike anything Ive ever experienced. Brody even found a way for us to save money while we got more product. Absolutely incredible! If you choose anyone else, I won’t say it’s a mistake, but I will say you won’t know the highest quality people, service, and product. We are just simple everyday people but we were treated like, and the job was done as though we were the only thing that mattered. We are just absolutely floored. I insisted on having their yard advertisement in my yard forever. I feel like we have new friends for life, that’s how they handle their business!

They did an awesome job and matched our siding that had been discontinued, very well. The color was even close to what we were planning to paint. They did a quick job of replacing the weather damaged pieces on the garage and Dave also recommended a good painter. Very pleased with the job and customer care. Would definitely recommend them to others.

One thing that I'd like to add to my review we had been told by others that because our siding was discontinued that we'd need to do all new siding. Dave told us they'd be able to match it pretty closely and they did. Honesty and understanding is very refreshing.

I let Dave, the owner, know that I was needing new gutters. He connected me that same day with Brody. Brody came out and was professional and knowledgeable, AND I right away trusted him and his expertise. He told me what he thought. He got me cost quickly. On Friday, I said lets move forward and by Tuesday they were out working on it. Got home from work and it was all done in 1 day. No mess and it looked great!! Following the hail storm in West Des Moines we were referred to Roofsmart by our neighbor. Brody was immediately available and was here the day my insurance company came out to inspect . He remained available to us via text throughout the entire process. We were one of the first to get our roof, siding and windows repaired. It was a smooth, professional and easy process. Initially, the experience went very well. After the storms in March and all my neighbors getting their roofs looked at, I decided I should have my newer one still looked at. They found enough damage, got insurance to cover a full replacement. It took a little bit of time, but they did the job well, fixed any other damage caused, etc.

I also had some siding damage. Again, they were great to work with initially. They found as close a replacement as possible and we first did a partial replacement. It took a while to get to that point and it doesn't match due to age (not their fault) and it was suggested we look at what a full replacement would be and see what insurance can do. They've ghosted me since. I've tried following up several times with RoofSmart as they said they would work with insurance. I can't get a response from anyone and it leaves me some concern that if I ever have problems with the roof, even with their guarantees, they'll be hard to get ahold of.

First impressions were great, but recent lack of interaction makes it hard to recommend them.

Edited: Reduced another star as today, I had someone look at my dryer vent. RoofSmart had left a screen on during installation that was too restrictive for the dryer and it was clogged with lint. I never had a problem prior to the roof replacement. So that was another $170 out of pocket to fix something that I shouldn't have had to do.

We had a great experience with RoofSmart. They were quick to respond and advocated for us with our insurance agency. Turned what I expected to be a painful experience into a seamless process. The entire work was completed and cleaned up in a half day. We highly recommend RoofSmart!

I cannot recommend RoofSmart enough! Our roof became extremely damaged from the recent hailstorm in Clive. We hired RoofSmart to replace our roof and could not be happier with the quality of service they provided. The owner, Dave, was prompt in answering all the questions we had throughout the process. His crew arrived on time the day that was scheduled and everything was completed in less than a day. That included the shingles being delivered. The work was highly coordinated and professional. Dave was on site throughout. The crew went above and beyond our expectations. The roof on our gazebo also had to be replaced. They even affixed the weathervane that had fallen off and added some nice touches that weren’t there originally. Cleanup afterwards was meticulously done. Even our neighbors have remarked how smoothly our roof replacement went compared to some others they have witnessed in our neighborhood. I found Roofsmart because I was searching for high rated roofers in my area and they did not disappoint. Brody was informative and made sure to be around when the insurance agent came out to examine our roof. They agreed with the assessment and we were able to get the funds to cover the cost from the storm damage. The Roofsmart crew were on time, didn’t disrupt anything and completed the job in about 4-5 hours. Very impressed! They made sure to clean up. The only slight negative feedback I have is that, though they did try to remove all the nails that dropped from the roof, there were some noticeable ones left around the deck. Having a dog and toddler running around out there, it could have been very problematic. Thankfully I was able to find them and dispose of them myself. Overall I can see why the Roofsmart team is so highly rated and I definitely recommend them for your roofing needs!

I hired RoofSmart roughly three years ago for a complete tear-off and replacement project, including gutters and downspouts, after a major leak sprang in my living room ceiling. I found their pricing to be on the higher end but they also came with exemplary reviews, so I hired them and assumed the results would be worth the investment. Not so much. Today, I had someone from another company come out to assess a few concerns—sagging gutters, lifted shingles, leaking downspouts—that shouldn’t have cropped up with a basically brand new roofing system. While he was taking photos of the problem areas, he noticed that there were several spots where flashing wasn’t installed at all, including two gaping holes, gutters installed incorrectly that have now led to ice dam damage, a number of completely broken shingles, and uneven/battered aprons that appear to be either the old ones that *should* have been replaced or new ones that were installed wrong and were damaged in the process. I won’t do business with RoofSmart again because the company owner is unprofessional and treated me like an idiot (I’m a single mom in the position of having to hire ego-driven men who bet on my lack of industry expertise to screw me over when they work on my house). An example: when I contacted him after the job was done about some repair work that needed to happen to address a mistake his crew made, and expressed concerns about the impact on my warranty, he replied: “The warranty all boils down to how much you care about the integrity of your name and your company and how much your are willing to do/put up with to uphold the name of the business.” He was essentially suggesting that he felt he was “putting up with” my concerns in order to achieve a resolution. Classy. So, I’m now in the position of paying someone else—AGAIN—to fix their costly mistakes. Highly disappointing, but also a huge financial burden for me. I’d leave zero stars if possible.

After the storm a year ago I was in need of a new roof on my home/garage and my 3 car stand along garage. I struggled finding a roofing company I felt wanted my business. One day I had run to Menards and when I came out a RoofSmart truck was parked next to me. I asked the driver if he had a business card and told him what I needed. When I talked to Daryl by phone about my concern with sound of water dripping onto the celling after a rainfall, with more rain forecast before my insurance adjustor came to inspect and recommend coverage for roof replacement, he came, went up the roof and applied glue or caulk to all potential sources of water entry at no cost to me! He was willing to, and did come to my home to go up the roof with my insurance adjuster as he inspected the roof. After the work was completed, Daryl returned to put back up a sensor that was knocked off the roof by the roofers. And most appreciated, Dave was very patient and understanding of an unintended 25 days of delay in my getting checks together to make payment after the work was completed! Dave did our Roof, siding, gutters and replaced some windows. They did a great job and I would definitely recommend them.

Roof Smart accurately predicted the exact day they would arrive. I had no idea that they would bring such a large crew that the tear off and installation would only take 4 1/2 hours! Friendly, courteous crew. Owner reviewed work through the morning. They used metal detectors to be sure all the nails were out of lawn/deck. Cleaned up site well. I had a problem with how some metal looked after the job was completed. Owner Dave Carlson immediately sent some one out and made it right! That's what I call great service at a very competitive price!

Roofsmart installed a new roof on our house, new house wrap and siding, and new stonework. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. The house is beautiful. We worked with Grant and he was very responsive and helpful, I can't say enough good things about him. We have gotten so many compliments from the entire neighborhood on the transformation of the house, and our neighbors were so impressed that they had their siding and gutters done too.

Storm caused hail and wind damage to the house, three car garage, shop and garden shed. Also damage due to not having adequate ventilation in a cathedral ceiling in the house. The cathedral ceiling was done by another builder. Roof Smart are professionals, knowledgeable, they listen and explain what has to be done. Daryl worked with are insurance company and was on the project from start through clean up. Courteous and professional crew. It is not often that the owner comes to the job site, but Dave was there. Much more could be said, we are extremely satisfied. Daryl removed the Cyclones wind vane so we could touch up the paint and said he would come back to reinstall.

Helpful, knowledgeable about insurance process, worked with insurance adjuster regarding damage review, fast, followed up with everything they said they would in a timely fashion. Courteous. Very happy with decision to use roofsmart.

4-21-23 update
They replaced my roof 2- 3 years ago. At that time very helpful, responsive, professional. Today I had roof moulding damage due to the high winds. I was so happy with their services before I kept their card. I called them. They, again, we’re very responsive, professional and courteous. After a quick inspection from pictures they came to the house and confirmed it was repairable. They repaired right away. Very happy.
