After a devastating fire in 2023, we rebuilt our home and installed a metal roof by Roof of Steel. We dealt with Antonia who helped us chose the right style and color. She was very pleasant & great to work with. The installation crew, led by Blake, were professional & very experienced. Blake takes pride in his work and he did an excellent job at leading his crew and completing the project on time. He kept us well informed on the progress of the installation. We have no regrets!

Roofs of Steel replaced my roof a few years ago with a metal roof. There were challenges because our house is very close to our neighbours on both sides. This required many extra snow cleats to make sure sliding snow did not impact our neighbours siding. They were very professional and friendly and we are happy with the result. We called them this week with a request to solve a minor issue with a valley reflector, not sure this terminology is correct, and Blake Usher from Roofs of Steel called us back and came to see us a couple of days later. He had the problem corrected in about five minutes. He was courteous and friendly and our experience was very positive. All this to say that they back up their work 100%. I can highly recommend them to anybody looking for a good roofing contractor.

Inquired on having my roof done last December. Antonia was at my house in a few days to look at the roof and take measurements and answer all questions we had. We had a leak and part of our old roof was lifting off. They had supplies for the roof delivered within the week and they started about a week after. We did have a little hiccup but Antonia and Claudia were very efficient and resolved it quickly. Very satisfied with my new roof, no more leaks and it looks great!

We first met Antonia and learned about Roofs of Steel at the Home and Garden Show while shopping around quite extensively. From the beginning, she was very professional and accommodating and maintained an excellent level of clear and open communication throughout the project. From the first moment to the last, this company has been amazing! The quote was explained thoroughly. The materials arrived and the work started quickly, as we were worried about our existing roof. Shoutout to Blake and his crew. They're thorough and met all the challenges our roof presented. They went above and beyond and fixed some spots for us (slope change and wood replacement) and transformed our house! And they're good people. We are very happy with our choice. I will update this with a better picture when we do some trim and soffit work.

Their crew came to our house to add metal snow guards because the company that installed our metal roof had put plastic snow guards, some of which broke with the ice buildup. The Roofs of Steel team was amazing. They quickly had our roof up and their team was extremely professional. Antonia was sales was pressure free. They managed to squeeze us in quickly since we had developed a leak over the winter. It has been a number of weeks since the install and we couldn't me happier.

The issue was a low-pitched roof which led to ice dams and damaged drywall ceilings. A large team showed up before 7 a.m. and completed the job by the end of the day (low pitch bungalow house). It was impressive to see them work and the skill was obvious. The results look great and I'll never have to shovel (or replace) the roof ever again. The slate look and ice breakers are a beautiful aesthetic. The ability of the roof to expand and contract with the seasons showed advanced product engineering to divert water, allow movement (chimney to roof) yet still beautifully protect. Environmentally, with no tear off, the project didn't add to the landfill. I would encourage people to read up on the product and process. We're very happy with the results and it looks great.

Our experience with Roofs of Steel and its salesperson Antonia was great. Installation was done on budget and schedule. The finished product looks amazing. However in mid-January a huge amount of snow which amassed at the top of the roof came down and twisted the gutter. Antonia was quick to react and send a couple of employees that installed 61 additional snow stoppers. I paid for these additional stoppers. However my problem is the $500. that Roofs of Steels charged me for the job. These additional stoppers should have been installed at the outset considering the steep slope and size of my roof. I spoke to Antonia who confirmed that the company now consider size and slope to determine the number of snow stoppers. The question begs to be asked: "Why not install the required number of stoppers when Roofs of Steel did the job in May of 2023? Why pay $500. when the company should have known that with the size and slope of my roof these stoppers should have been installed initially? If I would have known then what I know today I would have insisted to install the appropriate number of these stoppers.

Roofs of Steel delivered a professional and high quality roof for our ~ 100 year old home. The final result is an extremely well built roofing system to deal with stronger storms and changing weather patterns. We are also so grateful for Antonia’s in-depth product and roof construction knowledge. Well done!

A few months ago, I contracted with Antonia Boss to install a steel roof on my cottage. The installation proceeded quickly with exceptional results. While being careful and precise in their work, they were still able to move along very quickly and finish in good time. When the roof was finished, the installers made sure to clean up any mess that was made, leaving the ground spotless or even better than they found it. Wow! What a horrible experience! Antonia came to our house, talked with my wife, had a product chosen. Then I came home from work. After listening to her spill, I asked for the cost. Mind you, this is our first house and this is our first roof replacement and she is the first person we are talking to. When I questioned the cost which was $36,000 after discount as compared to around $10,000 for asphalt shingles, she rudely said no problem, started gathering her things and left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We started our roofing journey with Antonia and Roofs of Steel in the fall of 2022 when we first ordered our steel roof. We quickly discovered that there were a few structural issues we needed to address before we could proceed with the roof installation. Antonia was with us every step of the way, with guidance and advice and even helping to find contractors to come out and take a look at what we needed done. It has been a long and sometimes stressful process but we never felt pressured by Antonia to install the roof before we were ready. We were finally ready for the roof install this summer. Antonia’s crew squeezed us in within a few weeks and they did an amazing job! Adam is a true master of his trade. He and Nick took their time and were meticulous about their work. They arrived promptly in the morning and left the site spotless every afternoon and were always polite and accommodating. The roof looks amazing and we have received many comments on how good it makes our home look.

Antonia installed a roof on our first home and this is the second steel roof she has installed for us. Not sure if there will be a third home down the road but if there is, we will be reaching out to Antonia again. In summer 2022, we had a contractor construct two low-slope roof areas joined by a number of valleys. Believing that metal roofing was a long-term roofing solution, we also had the contractor install metal sheet roofing. In mid-January 2023, we were very disappointed when water started leaking through the new roof and pine ceiling in several locations.
After meeting with four roofing companies specializing in four different types of metal roofing, we selected Roofs of Steel. Our roof was in dire need of replacement and we had a leaky chimney. Once we picked the roof it was a pretty quick turn around. We have had some bad installation experiences in the past and we didn't want a 1-2 week installation. The installation of the roof was done in one day. The roof looks great and the chimney has stopped leaking. The crew was a hard working choreograph work of art. We had many neighbors come watch and ask many questions about the roof as it was being installed. It was a higher price than we were expecting but well worth the peace of mind it in the end. We will never have to worry about installing another roof ever again. Thank you so much to all the installers, I was really impressed from beginning to the end.

With the climate changing we seem to be now getting more storms and stronger gusty conditions. We see the blown off asphalt shingles from homes in our neighbourhood and we thought it justified to spend more on peace of mind afforded by the strength and long lasting durability of a steel roof over our heads. Roofs of Steel offered us the best deal (price and warranty) and so we went with them. The whole process was smooth, from that initial Q&A with Antonia to the materials delivery to the actual work and clean-up. Our roof was installed in March by a very efficient and professional crew who got the installation done in 2 days. It's been only about a month now with an April ice storm that brought down power in Ontario/Quebec as the roof's first test, but no complaints so far.

The roof looks awesome which speaks to the top-notch workmanship of the people behind it. It gives a fresh look and appeal to the house (which probably what made the neighbour mentioned considering metal roof as well). And we don't have to replace it, which makes it a good investment. Colin took over our metal roof install and demonstrated a highly conscientious work ethic when he removed and restarted our metal roof, kept us closely informed on progress, and daily arrival and departure times. Although we had a rocky start with RoS, a huge thanks to Colin and his crew, and to John, who turned it around for us. We couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome.

After doing my research and homework, I met on site with and received estimates from 3 asphalt shingle and 4 metal (sheet and shingle) roof installers. Roofs of Steel was far from the least expensive quote, but I chose them because of the quality, look and warranty of the product; the company was local; and, owner Antonia. Antonia spent a great deal of time answering my MANY questions about the product, installation process and warranty. I appreciated her forthright answers, or her researching and getting back to me. She answers the phone, is accessible, easy to deal with, prompt, responsive, timely, on-the-ball, collaborative and very knowledgeable. She listened, was flexible, and made good suggestions and followed through. From all of the added touches, you can tell she aims for excellence and to set her company standard above others. Due to supply and staffing shortages, I waited about 5 months for installation, which occurred the first week of December 2022. Been a little over 6 months now since we got our new Roofs of Steel roof, and I have nothing but positive things to say about it. It didn't bat an eye at the major wind storm in May that took out half of my fence. The grey slate looks absolutely fantastic, and has gotten quite a few compliments from neighbours. The whole experience with Antonia was easy, and she took the time to answer questions and ensure I was ready to go forward. Shaun and his team did the entire job in a single day in March, and were great. I'm looking forward to seeing how it holds up through the winter, but I definitely have no worries about it.

We just had our new roof put on yesterday, October 17th. Antonia was amazing to work with and was always quick in replying to all our questions. Everyone we dealt with from this company was professional, responsive and extremely polite and respectful. A very positive experience from the beginning! We had several estimates done for metal roofs to compare the quality. Antonia from Model Home Program Manager of Roofs of Steels Inc. was the only representative who explained the installation from start to finish with samples of the different pieces. It was reassuring for us to know that no holes would be drilled in the tiles. The installation crew was very professional, punctual, able to answer our questions and made sure to clean up after themselves at the end of each day. We are confident that We saved our best roof for last.

Our new roof got installed early April, wanted to wait my first 90days of ownership before posting a customer review.
We are extremely satisfied of our new roof. The installation Team, Shaun and the French Canadian crew that we got assigned did a very quick and clean install and managed to install in less than a week in between significant rain episodes. House looks great, feels like we moved without moving. The roof survived very well the May 21st storm in Ottawa with winds well over 150km/h, that day, gusts that hit Ottawa were equivalent to EF-2 tornado. I have many neighbors that lost their shingles but not us! We had trees down and lost power for over 5 days.
Sound is very low as advertised, we can barely notice rain falling on this metal roof.
We got a few heat wave period in the Valley and it does keep the house cooler, the air conditioning works less than before to keep the house cool, did not do the math yet to compare my Hydro bills with last summer but it is noticeable.
Climate change with more frequent severe storms in our area is the main reason why we selected a roof of steel, not a business case, not the looks but really for safety reasons and buy local. We love the results and recommend Roof of Steel.

Antonia was the sales representative that came to my house to give my husband and I an estimate, she explained the advantage of a steel roof versus shingle, and she answered all our questions without pressure of any kind. The installers and the delivery man employed by Roof of Steel were respectful, tidy, and efficient. My husband and I are very pleased with the result, and we highly recommend this company to our family and friends. Thank you for doing such a great job. It will be the last roof we will ever buy.

Antonia was great at explaining how the system works and how it's installed when she gave us the quote. Installation happened by promised time line. The crew doing the install was excellent to deal with and efficient.

We first met Antonia at the Home and Garden show in the spring. We had some water damage from our roof and realized we needed to take the plunge for a new maintenance-free roof. Our previous roof was metal, but had thousands of exterior screws which required attention on an ongoing basis. Antonia came to our house a few days later and explained the Roofs of Steel process in detail to us. It was really helpful and we appreciated the depth of her knowledge. We loved the look of the Soteria aged slate panels, and she helped us choose a colour that would work with our existing siding (espresso). She answered all of our many questions and made us feel confident about our decision. Shaun and his (large!) team showed up at 7AM on the date of install and worked until sunset and were able to finish our roof in that time period. Shaun was a great communicator, and came back quickly to address our two minor concerns, and left the site clean. Antonia came by a few days later to look it over and even came with a bag to try to find any screws that were left behind on the ground. We love the look of our new roof and are so happy with our decision to go with Roofs of Steel.

With the heavy rain, hails and drizzles this fall and early winter in Ottawa, I did not notice more noise coming from my roof. This was was a very pleasant surprise along with a beautiful looking roof.

Roof Looks Great! I was also very pleased by the explanation of why their roof is superior and where the other roofs lack. Most other companies quote you a price and walk away. They take the time to explain which ultimately made me choose them. And seeing the final result it was worth the money.
Only reason I did not add the 5th star was for minor things that I am likely nit picking about. I would have liked a little more communication for timelines and how things were happening. I had a few late night, emails, calls and text messages which as a business owner I prefer to do work during business hours. Emails don't bother me as much but didn't appreciate the calls and text messages.
The crew was friendly enough, answered some questions and they did a pretty good job of cleaning up, a few little things here and there but nothing major. I would have liked them to be a little more considerate when parking to try and only take up one spot in the laneway and to keep music volumes down especially during toddler nap time.
All in all I would recommend them and the roof does look amazing.

This was a huge investment for us but after weighing the numerous pros against the one con (higher cost) it became an easy decision. We are planning to live in our house for more than 20 years and didn't want to have ongoing roofing expenses (including maintenance) and the worries that go along with it. We also had the benefit of knowing that our original metal roof lasted 123 years.

It was a bit scary giving the first instalment, but Roofs of Steel came through for us every step of the way. Sometimes things didn't go perfectly, but to us that is when you discover what type of company you are dealing with. We were consistently treated professionally and with a little patience ended up completely satisfied. We have an extremely well installed and stunning roof to enjoy for 20+ plus years and the next five or six owners will equally be well covered and worry free.

Roofs of Steel installed a new metal roof on our house in June 2021. We chose aged slate, espresso brown, and we couldn't be happier with the result: it looks gorgeous on our house. Our interactions with the company have also been nothing but positive. They really took the time to explain exactly how metal roofs work, what their company do specifically, and what our options are. The crew that installed the roof was quick, thorough, and professional. We had a few follow-up requests, and those were granted quickly without any issue. It has really been a great experience from beginning to start. I will also add that Roofs of Steel works with a factory based in Ontario (among other options they have), and so our new roof is a local product - another nice feature.

We contracted Roofs of Steel for our new metal roof and are very glad we did. We found them to be honest, professional, knowledgeable, skilled, personable, and responsive.

It was also clear that they truly cared about doing top-notch, quality work - no cutting corners. This is reflected in the fact that they use what we consider to be a superior technology to other metal roofing companies - a roof that can be walked on without concern of damage, that prevents damaging condensation, that's quieter, and that accommodates expansion/contraction without compromising the fasteners.

As but one example of their service, we had a leak in our old asphalt roof that a different roofing company had failed to remedy. Indeed, that company told us our roof was in great shape and charged us $300 for their visit. However, the continuing water damage to our living room ceiling made it clear they were wrong. The day after we contracted Roofs of Steel they were at our home to fix the leak, at no extra charge. Within an hour their crew had found the problem (faulty caulking and cracked shingles) and fixed it.

Our experience with Roofs of Steel was simply excellent and we recommend them highly.

We’ve been thinking of going with a metal roof for several years, as we have gotten tired of having to replace shingles every time there’s a strong wind storm. We definitely didn’t think we’d have to get a new roof within 11 years of a new build. Clearly, regular shingles wasn’t the way forward for us. When we decided to make it our priority to get a new roof, we decided to go with Roofs of Steel. We did our research and narrowed down our search to four companies and had them provide us with additional information and a quote. By far the best was Roofs of Steel, but we were a little worried as they weren’t as well known as some of the other larger companies. Their product and installation process seemed too perfect. We really liked their strong and sleek looking metal panels, as well as the tornado clips they use which allow for expansion and contractions with our different seasons. They also use an ice shield on top of existing shingles all along the edges and over the valleys, as well as another underlayment which is breathable and waterproof everywhere else.

All the materials arrived prior to the install day and the moment they arrived to start the installation process, it was amazing to watch them at work. They had a crew of six, where they each knew their exact role and got to work. The temperature was -17 and I was very worried that they might cut corners but watching them work, they were so meticulous and the installation process was exactly as described. They each worked non-stop and within three days the roof was done!
