Great company. Just got done using them for the fourth or fifth time (maybe more) in as many years. I'm already planning on using them this summer for some interior work. Super reliable, always do what they say they're going to do. Very good quality at a fair price.

Blue Door Painters saved our deck. It was stained earlier in the season by a different company, who used water-based and oil-based paint, one on top of the other for the two coats, which created many raised black spots. Also, the application of the stain was very sloppy. Blue Door analyzed the problem and corrected it by sanding the entire deck and properly staining it. The deck looks beautiful now thanks to the professional and knowledgable painters at Blue Door. We will definitely hire them for all of our painting needs.

I'm an out of town owner and don't get into town very often, so I rely on people I know and recommendations of people I know. Blue Door Painters did a great job of repainting and all the walls and ceilings and making repairs where needed. They also replaced the shades, repaired the front storm door, replaced smoke/CO2 detectorsm and repainted the floor in the utility room. Everything looks great. I would highly recommend Blue Door Painters.

I have been using Blue Door Painters exclusively for all of my exterior painting and wood maintenance for around 15 years now. They do a fantastic job on my 1935 Arlington colonial with a large wood 1990's addition. Because the 90's wood is not the best quality we see each other every 18 months replacing different sections here and there. They've painted my whole house twice and the last time they steamed/scraped the old wood down a dozen layers. That was four years ago and it still looks fantastic even though it gets blasted by western sun.

I've had 8 shutters replaced with them too. They look great. Have not had a chance for interior painting yet, but when I do I know I'll call them.

They communicate well start to finish and are very fairly priced. Always on budget, on time, clean and excellent work. My house is always looking great with Blue Door.

We have worked with Blue Door Painters since 2009. When we bought our first house they completed both exterior and interior work. We have now moved and they completed extensive interior painting in our home. They do great and timely work for a competitive price. They take care in the work and provide a walk through before completion. They always leave everything clean at the end of each day when working on a multiple day project. Overall, their communication is good - the quote is quick, negotiating the contract is professional, the time to set up the job is communicated well, and discussing the paints and actual job occur daily.

Had a small paint job due to a water leak. I called them and they were ready to respond and send a quote with details on their license and experience. Just to make sure I had all my bases covered, I got a couple other quotes that took way longer and some contractors not even considering the service because it was too small. And Blue Door still gave the best price!

I've used Blue Door Painters for two interior jobs, one job for full room repaints and one job for water damage repair. They are by far the most responsive in the area (DC metro), I got a callback within 30 minutes both times I've used them. The painters showed up on the dot for both jobs and masked off, covered, or otherwise protected everything that was not to be painted or restored. Jeffrey (the owner) called for status updates as the job progressed to ensure everything was going well. I had no issues or concerns for either job. One thing to note is their estimates come through an online service, but contracts are pen and paper and in person. (At the time of writing) I don't believe they have online contract agreements or payment methods.

I hired Blue Door Painters to paint a nursery and repair a wall with glue on it from a mirror. They were very professional and did a great job! The work was very neat and looks great. They cleaned up after they were done. Very happy with their job and would hire them again!

I was so pleased out their hassle-free, babysit-free services that I called them back in to do some wall repair, patching, and painting that was needed after some last-minute electrical work. A big thanks to Blue Door Painters for giving my house the final finished look that I had wanted, but also for doing so in a way that made me trust their workmanship.

Luis and Manuel did a marvelous job painting the exterior window trim of our house and re-staining our balcony and exterior wood cladding. They showed up right on time and accomplished in two days what would have taken us a full week. Their painting work is meticulous...no drips or window smudges. They even cleared away the cobwebs and unstuck the windows which had been painted shut. Excellent work! I highly recommend this firm.

Respectful and friendly crew painted the exterior of our house over 5 days. They worked carefully and cleaned up every day. The team painted our chimney differently from what we had selected. After a phone call, we discovered the source of the honest mistake. (The picture they sent to view our painting options couldn't be seen correctly on a cell phone.) Although their team's intentions were good, Blue Door would not reduce the price for the botched job and they would not offer a discount to fix the job. They said over the phone that it would "fade in 2- 10 years". While Blue Door has some good painters, their customer service policy is surprisingly bad. Just in case mistakes are made, it's safer to use a different company.

Worked with Jeff and Fernando to get an estimate. Both were very responsive over email. Had a room and ceiling repaired and painted. Painter showed up on time and finished in a day. Blue Door Painters sent us talented and considerate painters to repair cracks in two vaulted ceilings in our home. One had two colors involved. The painters did an excellent job and left the work area clean. I have used Blue Door AT LEAST 3 times (likely more) in the last 20 years. Always a reasonable estimate, and always a good job. They have painted the exterior of my house at least twice and practically every interior room as well. Highly recommend.

Overall a very good experience. The estimate came below the competitors (half as much as one competitor) and the paint work was excellent. The proposal is very clear, and also includes their licenses, etc. They used “primer and paint in one” from Sherwin Williams which covered up everything that was there before. The painter arrived early and finished the job in a timely fashion. He was polite and professional. I would use this company again.

We did a full interior painting (including drywall repair) and full exterior brick painting, including a large deck and detailed railings. Luis and Manuel were prompt every morning and were extremely meticulous in their work. They are also just so nice to work with. Fernando and Jeffrey were great as well for the back-office work and were always available to answer my questions. As long as we live in Arlington, Blue Door will be our go-to painters and we recommend them to anyone who asks!

Creating a work order with Blue Door was easy, quick, and straight forward. Pricing was reasonable and quick after we sent a few pictures to them. They didn't have to walk-thru our house to create the work order. Their painters are talented and quick. I have used Blue Door multiple times over the last 11 years. Most recently they painted probably 50 percent or more of my new home and did powerwashing for me. Fernando was great setting up the estimate and getting the team ready. I think they are very competitive price-wise. I needed some colors matched and they made that happen. Luis and Manuel were a great team - cleaned up each night and did a final tidying on their last day. They went above and beyond to make sure the job was to my liking - and added a couple of extras!
