Ken and his team are fantastic. He replaced my roof 9 years ago. Today I found water leaking from ceiling. Called Ken and his man got here in 1.5 hour in Monday morning. It turned out to be cracks on the siding, which is not their responsibility, but Ken took it above and beyond. He caulked the cracks with no charge. This is just amazing. I would definitely recommend Ken to anyone and anytime.

I was in need of a roofer to assess the problems with my roof. After reviewing many companies I settled on Roof.Net. The company had many 5 star reviews. Many more than any of the other companies. So on Monday morning I called Roof.net. Ken, the owner answered the phone. I explained my situation. Ken said he would come out at 9 on Tuesday, the next day. He came out, assessed the problem and said his forman would be out the next day to begin work. At 10 the following day two workers showed up (on time). Shortly after his men left for the day I got a call from Ken to find out how the work was going.
The workers were courteous and efficient.

Ken’s roofing team did a phenomenal job installing a new roof on my house. Besides using great materials, which Ken carefully explained before presenting me with a bid, his team went above and beyond on several parts of the installation. The team installed some fresh trim pieces and hand painted them to match the existing sections. They installed a much-improved roof vent for the bathroom fan, and they removed a kitchen vent that is not in use and covered the hole in the roof with plywood. They pulled up and re-fastened a sagging section of soffit. The team carefully covered the front and rear areas of the house with heavy tarp to capture any falling debris. The post job clean-up was superb; you simply cannot tell there was a work crew here all day. The whole job was done in a matter of hour starting around 9am and gone by 3pm. My house looks great, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to go with Ken. If you are considering a new roof, give Ken a call. You’ll be delighted with the work, and you’ll love the price!

I was referred to Ken by a work colleague of mine, and I'm so glad I found Ken and his team. After 3 other new roof quotes, Ken ended up being not only the most affordable for my family (we just had our first baby), but also the highest quality work, best materials, best warranty we found out there. I can't say enough about Ken. He installed my roof 4 years ago and I was very happy with the installation from beginning to end. He was always pleasant and helpful. I recently had a problem with a vent that had nothing to do with the roof but Ken sent someone out to fix it the same day I called him and didn't charge me!!

We have a finished attic and my wife spotted what looked to be a leak from our roof. Our home is about 22 years old and I assumed it was time to replace the entire roof. The leak was related to a rubber flange that had deteriorated over the years and was quickly and easily resolved. We notice some leaks in our 26 year old 4000 sq foot mansard roof. On a Saturday morning we called 5 roofing companies. Only Ken Briesemeister at Roof.net picked up. He came over that afternoon and spent two hours with us looking at the roof and talking options. He had already researched the house and roof via internet satellite coverage. We opted for a complete new roof and signed the contract Sunday morning. On Thursday morning under Ken’s personal hands-on management the house was swarmed by a highly disciplined team of 14 mechanics and 10 hours later most of the work was completed. They found 19 rotting plywood roof sheets that needed replacing and other structural work which was done on the spot. We were updated with detailed videos and commentary every two hours or so of the construction. A few left-over details were finished the following morning. The work of this company was outstanding, the morale, discipline and teamwork exhibited by his crew was upbeat and inspiring, the pace was fast and precise, the price fair, the organization amazing, the finished work and its details such as the chimney flashing something special, and the clean-up afterwards impeccable. I can’t tell you how satisfied I am with my new roof. As a long time homeowner I know that you need to have a few quotes for work done on your house. Roof.net were the best people to deal with. I wish I could give Ken 10 stars. From start to finish, he handled every aspect of our roof replacement as if he were working on his own house. He's definitely a perfectionist and wanted to be sure the job was done exactly right. He was on top of every detail and in constant communication, including videos as the roof was being replaced. The crew left my yard and property spotless. Ken is also an extremely pleasant person. And the icing on the cake was that he was between 5 % and 15 % less expensive than the other estimates we got to replace our roof. So glad we went with him!

Ken supplied a list of what he would do. Used great brand of shingles, water and ice shield, and answered all my questions. The roof looks great. Ken answers all your questions. I expected a guy with 40 years experience to do a great job and Ken did a great job. The ridge vent even goes across the whole roof now to. Very happy. Picture taken at 5 pm so this is how good it looks at night. Should have taken it at noon to show you how splendid it looks in pure sun.

Ken was such a joy to work with. He is a professional and has a lot of experience in roofing. He and his team arrived early in the morning, ready to work. Ken sent us videos and pictures of the work as it progressed. We really loved being able to see what was happening. His staff was professional and very nice. After the roof was installed they cleaned up everything. They got up all the nails, removed their dumpster, and even hauled away an old DirectTv dish that was no longer in use. This was by far the best experience I've ever had with a roofing company and I've had several. From start to finish Ken was always in communication with me regarding the process to include the bid and the day of... everything was done in a timely manner and all evidence of them being at my property when they were done was gone except for the beautiful new roof. I couldn't find a better price and I had three bids. The best part of this whole story is several months later a piece of siding came loose. My fiancé had some concerns after a recent storm caused some structural damage to her roof. I reached out to Ken and his staff at roof.net regarding this concern expecting to get a hard-sell about how I need to get the entire roof replaced.

Not only did Ken listen to my concerns, he immediately laid out some possibilities to repair the issue without putting a band-aid on it or trying to sell us on a roof replacement or other unnecessary products (she hasn't lived here long, but we know the roof is not that old).

Roof.net did a great job with my roof. Their team was done in two days (for a pretty large house), matched all of the flashing around my house (chimneys and other joints), and even replaced my skylight. All done very professionally and Ken came out prior to the job to inspect and was onsite to oversee it. And despite increased raw material cost, they had one of the most competitive prices. I am extremely grateful Roof.net told me my roof did not need repair nor replacement. They saved me a ton of money upfront and potentially more down the road.

The two contractors who visited told me I needed to have my raised shingles corrected. One said they would have to lift up the shingles to see where there were issues and flatten out the shingles. Another advised me to replace the roof because it was getting old (I just recently purchased the house).

I sent pictures to Roof.net who immediately called and told me what was going on and why I didn't need their services or the services of any others. They said the raised shingles are fairly common against sidings and it is called "step flashing". They explained how raised shingles is almost a good sign because it means nails were placed in the proper place.

Had I not reached out to Roof.net, I would have had work down that I didn't need to have done, and avoided any problems in the future done by shoddy work that I didn't need anyway.

In the future, I hope I don't need any roofing needs, but if I do, I'll definitely reach out to Roof.net again.

Ken and his team did a great job in replacing our roof. We had purchased our home the fall of 2020 and had Ken come in shortly after we moved in to provide an estimate on a roof replacement. He was thorough with his recommendations and explained terms and equipment to us we weren't familiar with so we could understand his process and what would need to be replaced, etc. We had about 5 other roofing professionals come in to provide estimates and Ken's prices were extremely competitive and came with labor warantee that none of the other companies offered.

The work was done in a day and Ken was there to oversee his team at the beginning and end of the job to relay questions between us and his team. I had 10+ companies coming for on-site visits before I decided to go with Roof.net. They have the lowest price without any sales BS. I had a couple local companies trying to convince me to replace all plywood etc for $10,000+ and I got it done for less than half of that! It can be really confusing until you get someone knowledgable like Ken to explain to you what is what in layman's terms. Turns out - I barely need to have any plywood replaced afterall.

They did our roof job using CertainTeed landmark architecture pro shingle, which is a good product that stands 120 miles/hour wind. Ken was here throughout the whole process to make sure it was done right. He took care of the issue that my neighbor's roof is one inch lower than mine and made it a smooth transition. He even helped me to get my neighbor on board with the gutter installation so we can get the shared gutter replaced together.

They truly treated my place like their own and cleaned all debris using magnetic tools to make sure there are no nails lying around. I honestly feel like I cannot say enough great things about this company. Try it for yourself and you will see!

Ken was great. He was attentive of my needs, explained every step of the process and made me aware that there might be expenses the could not be quoted in the original estimate. It had been around 25 years since we last had our roof replaced and I was thinking what a pain it's going to be getting at least three roofing contractors to provide estimates for our roof replacement. Fortunately, based on the unbelievably awesome reviews posted on just about every customer review website, I included these guys among those I requested estimates from.
Okay, so here's what set them apart from the others:
1. Dealing directly with the owner and not one of many salespeople employed by other firms. Ken is the owner and he estimates and sells each and every job. His pricing is very fair and competitive.
2. The estimate. I prefer a no nonsense approach to pricing. Please provide me with your best price from the get go. Please don't jack up your prices so you think you might impress your potential customer with a handful of discounts. Ken's estimate was very straight forward, fair and competitive and there were absolutely no surprises once the job was completed.
3. Comprehensiveness. An example of this - Ken recognized that the existing attic fan wasn't in the proper location on the roof and actually included a new attic fan in his pricing. He knew where on the roof to install it and didn't charge extra for the new sheet of plywood needed to install it. None of the other three estimates I received even addressed this problem.
4. Care. We signed the contract on a Thursday and even though I said we were not in a rush to have the roof replaced he called later that night and said that he had an installation scheduled for Friday cancelled and asked if we would like to have our roof replaced on that day. However, as soon as he discovered that the shingles we selected were not carried by the local warehouse, he asked if it was okay to reschedule the installation to Saturday. That worked even better for us so we agreed to it. As it turns out, he had to drive to Delaware on Friday to pick up the shingles (we live in northern Virginia). Now he could have rescheduled our work for a later date or try to convince us to change the shingles to a color in stock but he didn't. This was just one example of Ken going the extra mile to keep us, the customer, happy.
5. Responsiveness. During this whole process Ken was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we had. He showed up during the installation for close to an hour and provided us with some valuable insight on how the job was progressing. At one point during the installation I had a question and less than one minute after I sent him a text message he called me with his response.
So I am writing this review thinking about all the other great reviews Ken has received over the years and now I can understand, based on our experience, why he has been recognized as the top roofing contractor in the area. His price was competitive, the installation was stellar and his responsiveness was excellent. Even the cleanup was top notch. But perhaps the best thing Ken has going for him is that he genuinely cares that his customers are completely satisfied with their new roofs. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention.....how great our new roof looks!

Having to replace a roof by myself was incredibly intimidating; Mr. Briesemeister of Improve Today Inc was kind, informative and made the entire process much less so. He took the time to inform me about my current roof, make recommendations and explain why (like removing the ugly turbine roof vents I had!) and costs which allowed me to sit through other roofers estimates and understand what they were offering. Finding a good contractor can be a difficult and frustrating process. All we want is someone we can trust to do quality work, however it's rarely that easy. When we learned that we needed a new roof and some leak repairs, the thought of choosing the wrong contractor was terrifying.
