Roof Systems of Maine

Avoid this company if you want quality work! We paid $600 for new flashing around our chimney due to a leak on our 3rd floor. Less than 6 months later, it has only gotten much worse and our ceiling is falling apart. When calling to discuss having someone come back out or some sort of refund, we were told that won't be happening as they don't guarantee their work and the woman hung up on us. Upon looking further into this business, they have been sued by the federal government for fraud. Apparently they haven't learned, as they continue with their sketchy business practices!

We did our research and chose Roof Systems of Maine to provide an estimate for the installation of a new metal roof on a home that we are in the process of purchasing. We obtained special financing for the purchase and renovation of our new home. Before we can close, we have to provide our roofing company’s estimate to our lender. We called Roof Systems of Maine to begin the process but never made it past the woman who answered the phone. The woman declared that in no way would Roof Systems of Maine give us an estimate for work on a property that we didn’t own. We tried to clarify our situation with her but she did not want to hear it. She had her mind made up that our business was not worth her time, nor her company’s, and that even if we did schedule an estimate we would be waiting weeks to get one. This woman was rude, presumptuous, and not behaving in her company’s best interest. Her dismissiveness was an egregious act of disrespect.

Is it because we asked for an estimate?

Is it because we asked for an estimate and that our property was residential?

Could it be that this company has so much business and projected income that turning away potential customers as rudely as possible has become an internal competitive sport?

I cannot wrap my head around the complacency. We did ask to speak with management and had to leave a voice message. No one has bothered to call us. Shocking lol.
