It’s not everyday that you find a contractor who is straight forward and honest.  No sell pitches, no extra unnecessary “recommendations” just to add to the bill.  When I called Michael from Roof-A-Roo, he not only answered the phone, but he gave as much time as I needed to explain my situation.  Tight with money,  I mentioned I needed my entire roof to be repaired brand new but I only had a couple of months with my insurance company to send in photos or risk them not renewing my coverage.  Michael was not only understanding and compassionate about the situation, but he gave me many options to help me out and told me not worry.  He offered to help as well, himself personally.  How often does anyone receive help like this?  Michael was extremely knowledgeable in every way possible from the insurance companies and roof work, to the materials and even their warranties.  I had other companies charge me “extra” for a 50 year warranty on certain roof shingles, until Michael mentioned to me it’s only like $20 to extend the 25 year warranty to 50 year warranty.  So I went with Michael due to his vast knowledge and experience, professionalism, and the icing on the cake was having the peace of mind knowing my roof, and the entire situation, was in good hands.  He competed the job within the following week of me reaching out to him about it.  There were hiccups along the way because my roof had damage, but it was no issue for Michael and his crew at Roof-a-Roo.  The entire process was seamless.  I feel like nothing even happened which is amazing because that’s the peace of mind I had from working with Roof-a-Roo.  I am absolutely going to use Roof-a-Roo for other projects as well.  I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, recommend Roof-a-Roo to anyone and everyone.  Once you use them for a project, you’ll end up deciding to use them again.  You’ll be so happy that you’ll want to praise their work and service as well.

Roof-A-Roo saved me last week! When my house was being repainted, the painters discovered a leak in the flat roof that hung over my front entryway. All the wood inside was rotted and needed to be replaced. After reaching out to Michael, he was able to give me a quote over the phone just from looking at pictures, and he was able to schedule me just 3 days later. His quote was much less expensive than a competing quote I received as well. All in all, extremely professional company -- I'd use Roof-A-Roo again in a heartbeat.

We did not have a roof installed by Roof a Roo, we had something far more intricate. A very beautiful cedar shake job. With custom cedar shakes made by Teal Shakes in British Columbia. We received many estimates, including from referrals, but what won me over with this company, is how well the owner Michael and his team presented themselves. They are true craftsman. These shakes were woven on all the corners so perfectly. I haven’t seen a job done this well in a very, very long time. We were so pleased with the workmanship and also the customer service that we received. Michael of Roof-a-roo is a rare gem; courteous, prompt, and hardworking. The team arrived on time and completed the job in one day. The roof and new skylights look fantastic. They did a great job cleaning up and were a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them.

So they have an unusual name: Roofaroo.
But that doesn’t mean they can’t do a fantastic job! Michael was very attentive from the very beginning. In fact, he was the one who reached out and sent our church secretary pictures from his drone, showing missing shingles on the church roof. He clearly specified the work he would do and how he would do it, provided a certificate of insurance, and promptly arrived on the dates scheduled. I highly recommend this roofer and he will give you a fair price.

Let me start out by saying, what a wonderful company and great experience I had with Michael. He gave me several options to fix my chimney issue with estimates to go along. It ended up being actually less than his original quote, which is basically unheard of. While on my roof, michael saw an antiquated giant antenna and promptly removed it after I gave him the OK! I live in a historic home and need top notch work due to the nature of the house and 10/10 would definitely use them again.

Roof-A-Roo was a relief to work with. Michael communicated quickly and understood what we needed and worked with our schedule. The roof looks great--and they noticed a defect in the chimney and fixed that, and they got rid of old defunct stuff. They finished in one day and cleaned up perfectly. We are so happy! And the price was in our budget!

We had a leak in our ceiling and it couldn't easily be traced to a specific section of roof. Roof-a-Roo was able to take a look at it within days of our call and schedule our repair on the spot. Michael was even able to accommodate our schedule and come on a weekend so the noise wouldn't interrupt my Zoom sessions. His crew was friendly, clean, and took pictures of the progress for us. They removed the old tar and and confirmed the wood beneath was still in good condition. The new material looks much nicer! Now we have a beautiful roof (visible from the bedroom windows), and more importantly, a leak-free home.

The reassuring professionalism I saw were safety protocols for his workers and the house which included cleanup after each portion of the demolition of the old roof so that the worksite was safe. Mike keeps his promises. On the day that the roof was to begin installation Mike had set that date two weeks earlier. On that date at 8:30 AM, the roofing materials arrived on time. Within 20 minutes his team was on the roof beginning the demolition. As promised, he finished in three days staying late on two of them to beat the coming rain and ensure everything was properly sealed.

I cannot say enough good things about Michael from Roof-A-Roo. Other companies had looked at our roof and said we needed a lot more work than necessary. Michael looked at it and said it only needed minor repairs. The price was affordable and he was very responsive.
