River's Edge Home Center

These folks did a beautiful job on some floors that were pretty difficult. Old style planking, and old style antique nails that Stuck up from the floor. They countersunk them all, sanded, stained, and finished with three coats of clear polyurethane. They did it all in three days and the floors look absolutely perfect.

Louie and his team did a superb job in making our 65 year old kitchen look like it just had been built by putting in a new floor. They helped picking just the right design to match the pine. The care taken making sure all was right was outstanding. They always addressed us by name which gave a postive feeling through the entire process.

Finding River's Edge Home Center was somewhat of a godsend for me and my kitchen renovation project. By the time a colleague recommended them, I had already fired several contractors who did not want to a) stay within my budget, b) do anything outside of the original foot print of the small kitchen, and c) present me with options (visual options) on what I could do with my budget. River's Edge was the first contractor that did all of these things. Nikki, the designer, helped me visualize beyond the original design and she helped me pick awesome cabinets, counters, and backsplash all within my budget - in fact, UNDER budget. Because I was under budget, I was able to redo my floors too! Lou Sr. and Louie Jr. are experts - they made sure the work was done to perfection without cutting corners. In addition, everyone - at the store or on the construction site - was kind, respectful, and diligent in keeping me updated on progress and ensuring I was making the decisions in my space.

It helps that there is a store front for clients to frequent. Not only does it help that River's Edge provides a designer for advice, visuals, and more; the store front allows clients to literally pick out what they want all in one place. While other contractors are sending clients near and far to work with whoever, River's Edge has everything all in one place with the trusted experts to help clients make sound and amazing decisions on their home projects.

Seriously, I will always consult and use River's Edge for all of my home projects from now on; if you're reading this, I STRONGLY encourage that you do too!

This is an overdue review as I catch up from moving into our new house and working through a few contractor projects as we did so. We had some carpets removed and trimmed with preexisting hardwood flooring beneath. There were a few areas that required removing damaged wood and splicing in new. We also had all the floors refinished. The sections that were replaced were seamless and you can’t tell where they were looking at the finished product, which was the goal. The finish came out excellent and has held up great for the first year, despite having a 100lb dog and kids in the house. Working with Louie and his team was excellent and their craftsmanship was also top notch. I would highly recommend them to others and will be calling for future projects as they come up.

It was worth the wait to get the color of the tile i needed. They were professional, and went above and beyond.

Recently replaced old carpets with new engineer, hardwood floors, and a basement redo With vinyl planking. Everything was Perfect! The Milardo family and their team are so easy to work with and the results were amazing!

We worked with River's Edge for a kitchen renovation and we were extremely happy with the final results! Nikki was fantastic to work with in the design stage, and throughout the project. She quickly got to know what we were looking for, made a lot of great suggestions and worked with us to choose cabinets that fit our tastes and budget, and give us ideas for some features that we hadn't thought about, but now love. Lou, Louie and Gianna were all awesome to work with as well - friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. Lou is also a master carpenter/jack-of-all-trades - he has forgotten more about kitchens than many kitchen pros will ever know.

Were there problems that came up during the process? Of course! But I think that anyone going into a renovation who thinks everything will go perfectly smooth is kidding themselves. There are always going to be unexpected bumps in the road - but you want to choose a company and people you trust to make things right. The team at River's Edge absolutely did that.

Our renovation was about a year ago and we are still thrilled with the new kitchen - and the awesome people at River's Edge. If you're thinking of doing a renovation, you owe it to yourself to check them out!

We had River's Edge Home Center do a complete master bath remodel and flooring replacement in two other bathrooms. We are very pleased with the results! The master bath is beautiful! During the demolition process some unusual plumbing conditions were discovered. The River's edge team were quick to suggest solutions. This is a family-centered business, with reliable and exceptional contractors. The electrical and plumbing work was done by family members, and the carpentry and tiling work done by skilled craftsmen. The suggested vendors for plumbing fixtures, countertops, and shower glass enclosure all worked out very well. This was a complicated job but we were kept advised of the project details and overall we are very pleased with the project. Hats off to Nikki for her outstanding customer service!

Louie has been great every time we have gone in for different projects. He is knowledgeable and helpful and no one is pushy or trying to force a sale.

The installers did a wonderful job, worked quickly and cleaned up before leaving. They even arrived ahead of schedule.

A family run business that makes you feel like you’re family as well. I might have found a less expensive place, I don’t know because I never even looked. I’ll only look to Rivers Edge Home Center. Great family, great products, great service.

River Edge does outstanding work!!! My boyfriend and I used them for our entire kitchen and basement floors. The kitchen came out gorgeous; the cabinets are very well made, the quartz countertops are gorgeous, and the installation did not take long! Our basement floors were done in two days and their meticulous work made them better than I could’ve expected. Definitely go through Rivers Edge for any home improvements!

5/5 stars for them! Once I picked out my rug choice in store, it was quick to schedule. The guys who came and replaced my rug were wonderful, friendly, and fast. They got right to work and were done quicker than I expected. The seams are perfect and the stair was done wonderfully. Will definitely be back for other home improvement projects in the future!

We have used River's Edge for flooring at both houses we've lived at and have had wonderful experiences every time. We've used them for refinishing/saving floors that other contractors refused to even give a quote for, installed hardwood/tile/vinyl floors, and for a tile shower surround.

Definitely not the cheapest, but if you want someone who knows what they're doing and does it well, pick River's Edge.

We had River’s Edge refinish flooring in our previous house so it was an obvious choice for us to call them up when we decided to buy a late 1700s fixer upper. Upstairs, Louie’s team was able to refinish the original hardwoods that had been painted and was peeling. Downstairs in the main areas, the wood was not salvageable so they replaced with brand new hardwoods and stained to match upstairs. In the entryway, they put down new tile. It all looks amazing and we love showing it off!!

I chose River’s Edge to replace the living room flooring in my small townhouse because l wanted to support a local business. It was an excellent decision! I was given sound advice when selecting the appropriate material for my needs (dog, slab, damp location ) and the installation was very professional. The result is fabulous! I was given attention and respect throughout the process and will continue to have River’s Edge be my first choice for future home projects.

All the flooring work was fulfilled as originally set forth by Louie. It was done in a very professional and timely manner.The craftsmanship is top notch and many of my customers have expressed a lot of positivity about how it looks! One minor issue was that a heavy piece of furniture which needed to be moved to get the flooring done was not replaced properly. A follow up to help move it was offered but not followed through, so I ended up moving it back with my girlfriend's help. If not for that minor glitch, I would give them 5 stars.
P.S. we will use them again for other flooring needs in the house.

When my husband and I first went into the store everyone was very friendly. After scheduling our appointment for a quote, things changed. I had to call the store because it was 2 hours past the time they were suppose to show up for the quote, they told me that they forgot about it because our appointment form was under a pile of papers. I understood and they sent out someone to do the quote. Once he arrived he made the excuse that he was sorry that he was late because he was so busy even though I was already told that he wasn’t even aware of my appointment. I still understood, I waited about 3 weeks before I called asking when I was going to get my quote. I was told that it was her son who came by my house and she would get back to me soon. It’s been weeks and I have not received a call. Unorganized, poor communication, and unprofessional. We really wanted to use a local business but I guess that won’t be happening. Called another business and got a quote within days of them coming out.

I had quotes for doing work to restore the floor of my shower enclosure. Every time I talked to the owner of the store the price kept changing to the point where he swore at me and yelled on my property in my home when I asked him about completing the job I would not recommend this business to anyone.

Couldn't recommend this company more, had an amazing experience with all the employees who works there, especially the owners Gianna and Lou Milardo and son lou Jr. We had a flood in our basement, Gianna and her crew came right out to our house, ripped up all the old floors, dried it all up, did all the necessary steps and had new flooring down within days. The 2 guys that came to put the flooring down were very friendly and did a great job. I love my new floor, and love how easy it was to work with them. We recently completed a first floor remodel. I can't speak highly enough of River's Edge and their staff. Nikki, Gianna, and Louie were all so helpful in recommendations, ideas, and ultimately the final selection. In addition to about 1200 sq ft. of hickory that was expertly installed, they also installed our backsplash. River’s Edge recently replaced the flooring throughout our kitchen, half bath, and entryway. The task was tricky because a previous owner’s DIY radiant floor heat install required a thorough diagnosis and ultimately, removal. Together with a plumber and electrician (all in the family), they were able to completely fix the dipping in my subfloor, add a toe kick heater, and install a beautiful glue-on vinyl tile along with new baseboard and door trim. A week’s work left us with a high quality finished product and peace of mind in the years to come. Their only fault is that despite being thorough and friendly communicators, they are not the most timely. We chalked that up as being so busy and highly sought after, so just be sure to touch base with them frequently. Otherwise, we are very happy with the work and recommend them to anyone looking for flooring solutions!

After visiting the big box store on 2 occasions, I was extremely frustrated with the lack of knowledge by the employees when looking for new hardwood flooring. So I called Rivers Edge and spoke with Gianna who then sent Bob to my house to measure and size up the job. I then went to the store and picked up samples to take home and came back the next day to order. Gianna & Bob helped me out on the product selection, delivery & installation dates to meet my schedule. They gave me all the time I needed and answered any questions I had.
