Chimney/fireplace inspection & cleaning. They were clean, competent, courteous. Always very informative -w/straight answers (a rare thing these days!). Would recommend.

I would absolutely recommend Flue Doctor. The owner is really knowledgeable, thoughtful, and quick to respond to any questions. Shawn worked really hard to help us figure out all of the clearance issues due to a unique roof line and small wall space. He put a ton of time into helping us select the right stove and placement. Most impressive was his detail and attention to the construction of the home and how to safely route the chimney pipe. He found a great solution to make it work. He graciously understood when we decided to not move forward with the installation due to space concerns for the rest of the room design and functionality. I cannot overstate how much we respect his time and work. I will gladly recommend Flue Doctor to anyone, and hope to find a way to work with them on a different project in the future.

Had a wood stove installed in the basement. Statement of work and estimates were clear and descriptive. Customer service was top notch; answered all questions quickly and thoroughly. Acted with professionalism and courtesy and operate in the 21st century, unlike many contractors I've worked with.

Shawn, who took my call was responsive and professional. Josh, the young man who did the work was smart, helpful, did a great job, and left the fireplace neat as a pin. I will use them regularly, and would highly recommend them.

Since we moved to pomfret we've always used the flue doctor to service/clean our chimneys every year. Very reasonable prices and very professional staff. They do the job right and do not cut any corners.

Updating review: Thankful for the service, the referral for a local roofer AND The Flue Doctor also reached out to me for feedback. Shawn was very helpful for us at our new cabin. We needed a quote to repair the chimney and they were able to do a chimney sweep that same day. It hadn't been cleaned in some time and wasn't safe for fires. The quote came back at a reasonable price and we have booked them for Spring to come and repair the chimney. We appreciate you Flue Doctor!

I originally contacted another chimney service in the area for a sweep and a quote on a liner. After waiting several weeks for a quote that only came after I pestered them, I reached out to Flue Doctor instead. The Flue Doctor responded immediately, got someone to come out for a quote within a week, and had the quote over to me same day. They originally estimated that they wouldn't be able to complete the job until late January, but the parts came in faster than they expected so they called to set me up sooner. I originally contacted them Dec 3, today is Dec 28 and the job is fully completed.

Their staff was punctual, reliable, and professional and they left my house cleaner than when they got here. Their quote actually came in a little higher than the place I originally reached out to, but I'm positive I'd still be waiting if I went with them. Definitely worth the extra money for the peace of mind and professionalism

I looked and looked for local companies around me. I found this company online. After a little phone tag I set up a *free* est. quote after Tim came out to the house. I quoted 4 companies and Tim was by far the lowest. I did have to wait a little time because my install of my pellet stove insert was during peak season. On the day of install two gentlemen showed up wearing masks (covid). My pellet stove insert is about 300+ pounds and was being install over marble flooring. No damage to the marble at all. Both guys answered my questions being new to owning a pellet stove. The install was roughly three hours. The guys took the time to get the stove perfectly positioned within 1/4inch on both sides to my hearth. I knew once in place I wasnt going to be able to move it myself so I knew where it was placed was where it was going to stay. It looks great! I was impressed with the companies and he's employees. They cleaned up the area afterwards and were on their way. Make a long story short - call this company, do busy with them and you will not be sorry! Cheers.

Shawn and his crew do excellent work. I hired them to install a wood stove and metal chimney system. They quoted a fair price and did exceptional work. I highly recommend them.

I recently had my chimney cleaned and inspected. Upon inspection found that a liner needed to be installed. The guys ran into some curve balls as my chimney is a little different. Worked diligently until the job was done . Thank you flue doctor for the quality job and hard work.

Flue Dr. repaired my chimney flashing, installed a flue liner and cap, and repaired the top of my aging chimney. The work was very professional and reasonable. While I clean my own woodstove and flue every year I have them come once every Spring for cleaning because I know they'll be thorough and do a total inspection. I want to emphasize they are HONEST and won't try to sell you stuff you don't need. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Flue Doctors came out about a week ago and did a great job cleaning my chimney and dryer vents, plus installing a new stove for me. I have been using them now for three seasons since I bought my house. After carefully researching other chimney services in the area I can honestly say I have found an honest and trustworthy company that I will be using for years to come. My family had used Flue Doctor for years so when we bought our first house it only made since to call them. They were able to set up a time that worked with my schedule and were very good in keep me informed and reminded though text messages which was super convenient. The service they provided was clean, and efficient. This fall do yourself a favor and book with them.
