Rite Window

We had an extremely frustrating experience with Rite Window. Ultimately, we got pretty much what we wanted, but the path was arduous.
Visit 1) The salesman talked me through everything. However, he did not have a casement window sample, even though I had specified we needed casement windows.
2) The next guy came to measure and said we could have a cream-colored sheathing put on to match our house's trim color.
3) The installer installed the windows. The sheathing was white and the bathroom window was much smaller than the existing window.
4) The installer returned and installed the sheathing, though I will still have to paint the window frame myself.. His supervisor (guy 2) said they would replace the bathroom window with a larger one.
5). A new installer arrived with a double-hung window.
6) Another new installer arrived without realizing that he would be replacing a previously Rite-Window-installed window. He did not have a ladder and couldn't do it.
7). The original installer returned and installed a new window that was larger, though still not as large as the original pane.

Along the way, between steps 4 and 5, the owner e-mailed me, welcoming me to the "Rite Window family!" and asking me to let him know if there were anything I was unhappy about. I replied and he never responded.

In the end, we have windows that are high quality. All the employees were great guys and genuinely wanted me to be happy. But it was incredibly frustrating to have the process so drawn out due to poor internal communications at Rite Window. We will not use them again.

It has been a couple of months since the shower installation. We are very happy with the quality of both the installation and the shower components. The fit is great. The material is easy to clean. Our goals (being seniors) in replacing a tub, were to have a safer to use and easier to maintain shower. The goals were met.

Our family was very pleased, from start to finish, with the service of Rite Window. Our sales person, Chris, was very professional and answered all our questions well. The installation team was fantastic. They were efficient and worked together as a team extremely well. I was even surprised at the detail of the caulking job in our shower. I’m really picky and they were excellent.

From the first phone call to the final product, our experience was super. The people were friendly and knowledgeable. The installers were fast, extra careful when bringing in things or taking out the old shower and did a great job. Our new shower looks great! A huge improvement over the 33 year old fiberglass wreck that was there!!

Had all windows replaced in my home. The staff are very professional. Troy answered all our questions in person or by email. The installers we're professional and clean. They installed the windows and explained hot to used and maintain them. I will recommend them to anyone needing their windows replaced.

Our crew showed up promptly at 8am and was gone before 3:30pm. and left our home like they were never there, except for the gorgeous shower they left behind! Very professional and highly recommended.

Let me preface this with I love my new Kohler shower. The reason for the terrible rating is due to the fact that we were misled by their Regional Sales Manager, Chris. We first met with Chris on November 13 to discuss replacing the tub in our primary bath with a walk-in shower. We had met with someone from another company the week prior. The cost was similar but the timeline was not. My husband is facing knee replacement surgery and we knew we needed the renovation done before the surgery. The other company said it would be about two months before they could do the job. Chris from Rite Window said they would be able to do the job in three weeks. He also stated that the plumbing would be done by a licensed plumber and per our request there would be a permit filed with the city we live in if we wanted, we did. Done Deal! We signed the contract later that day. That would give us plenty of time to have the other work in the bath done after the install and before the surgery. Two and a half weeks after siging the contract we still had not heard from the company, so we called Chris. He told us that was acutally a good thing. That meant they had all the supplies in stock. Three weeks after signing we called Chris again, still no news from the company about an install date. Four weeks after signing we finally heard from Rite Window. They were getting ready to file the permit with our city and should be ready to do the install in two to four weeks. The job was finally scheduled for January 21st. 10 weeks after we signed the contract! As for one day, that didn't happen either. The bathtub was removed and whatever demo needed to be done was completed in about 4 hours and then the plumber was to come the next day. Of course, we got a call the morning of the 22nd saying that the plumber was "held up on another job" and the installers would do the plumbing. I asked if the installer was a licensed plumber and was told, "No, but he's completely able to do the job." When I asked if the permit was filed with our city I was told they would send pictures. If this was actually done, who knows. The installers who did the job were very nice and respectful to our home and they did a great job. So, I do love the Kohler shower but as for Rite Window I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

The installation team showed up right on time and got the job done in one day as promised. The result is a beautiful walk in shower. My experience was amazing from beginning to end, from sales to installation. I would highly recommend the Kohler Rite Window Team to install your new shower... you won't be sorry!

Zero stars. At this point I have an ongoing issue with my December 11, 2024, installation. The installer left a valve open when he closed up the wall. Rite sent him back 20 days later to fix it, which he did. I told everyone who phoned me from Rite that I was very concerned about mold growing in the wet space as I have a respiratory condition. I said that I wanted a restoration company to come out and look up into the space that was leaking from the bathroom into my basement to be sure that there's no mold. Several people told me not to worry as they would take care of everything. Here it is 3 weeks from the date of the repair and now I get a call from Steven telling me that his boss, Chris, is not authorizing the cost of the consultation with the remediation company. This is unacceptable. You're people caused the problem and all I'm looking for is a professional opinion that it has be remedied. I have been advised by my credit card company that I have until March 11, 2025, to dispute the charges for the entire installation. It seems that the customer service with Rite was terrific while we were in the sales process and during the installation process, but now that we're post all of that, customer service has dwindled.

From the initial contact to the finished product I could not have been any happier with this company, their people and their work. Both appointments, for the sales call to the full day installation were on time, despite my house being over two hours from their location.
The sales rep was extremely helpful and anything but pushy. He explained the whole process, answered all questions and carefully measured and priced out the project.
The installers were absolutely the best. They were extremely neat and respectful of our home, did their job to perfection and left the place spotless with a beautiful new walk-in shower replacing our old tub/shower combination. If there is such a thing as a totally seamless household project, this was it.

We would Definitely Recommend Rite Window for any Bath and Shower Remodeling. What A Great Job!

Smooth as silk. Every step of the process from sales visit through installation went like clock work. We are extremely pleased with our Kohler shower conversion done by Rite Window

I had the worst experience of my life. The sales person lied to me about having a 90 day grace period prior to making my first payment. The installation experience was an absolute nightmare. I feel like I was taken advantage of and I just wanted a handicapped accessible shower for my son and myself to have a safer home. The shower is alright, much better than my old tub and transfer shower chair situation. I wouldn't say it's worth the amount I owe for it, the time I took off of work for return visits, the giant dry wall patch in my living room, or the annoyance of being taken advantage of.

Oh and the "inset shelves" that the overcharge for don't actually stay in place, everytime you pull something off the shelf it slides out a bit.

It has been six months since Rite Window and KOHLER installed my new shower. There have been zero issues and it is everything I hoped it would be. The sales person, Steve and the installer, Ricardo were both personable, polite, knowledgeable and helpful. The end result was magnificent, and everything has been excellent.

They said that it would be up to 4 weeks to schedule the job. It took a little over 1 week. The installers worked hard and the job was done in about 6 hours. It looks fabulous!

I have 17 windows that have been replaced by Rite Windows. It took two days and two men who worked their butts off to get them all in and looking amazing. They didn't rush it and were there all day both days. Two very amazing and respectful men to have working in my home. I am very happy with the service and with the two men working those days.

Rite Window did a fine job of installing my new Kohler Walk-in Tub. However the tub has a few significant deficiencies. There is no hot water heater in the known universe that can provide the necessary volume of hot water in a reasonable amount of time to fill the tub. It requires an inline booster, which should be included in the installation. The seat is too high for average sized people. Neck and shoulders are completely exposed. If one tries to scoot down in an attempt to get some hydrotherapy on these important areas, one finds that the seat is treacherously slippery and the grab bar is far too forward to be a safety feature. There needs to be a grab bar nearer the seat so one can safely slide down into the foot well. If a lower seat is problematic for extremely tall people, a supplementary cushion or bench could be supplied.

Wayne and Eddie did an excellent installation of our new Rite Windows. My husband and I are loving the ease of opening and cleaning them. They look wonderful from the outside and the inside. The fifty year warranty on everything is what sold us. Thanks for everything!

Great experience! Luis Martinez was the Product Specialist who originally stopped by to discuss options. No pressure sales, very pleasant, informative, professional. Brian stopped over a few days later to take measurements. Once again efficient, personable, and professional. Quentin and Charlie were my installers for the day. I can’t say enough good things about these two. Right from the beginning I knew I was in good hands. They’re a great team who went above and beyond. Under promise and over deliver sums these two up for me. They replaced 11 windows and fixed more things than I had known were problems. Even replacing an extra window sill slightly outside the job scope, preventing further issues I was bound to have down the road. I won’t hesitate to call Rite Window when I’m ready to have more work done, fingers crossed Quentin and Charlie will be my installers for that job too!

Rite Window did a fabulous job converting my combination tub/shower to a sleek marble look shower with barn look glass doors and floor to ceiling niche. The manager who came to my home to present the Kohler options and, ultimately, measure, was very knowledgeable and guided my selections well. A one day installation was not promised but it did happen. The installation crew was friendly and very efficient - they got the job done in just one day. I am very happy with my choice of Rite Window and Kohler and highly recommed them and the Kohler system.

Rite Window is a big company that likes to use all of the modern technology for scheduling, confirming appointments, and canceling then rescheduling appointments. This can be somewhat frustrating to those of us to have to experience this.
However, once you speak with a real person, they are cheerful, helpful, and quite knowledgeable.
After a few appointment cancelations, Rite window sent someone to my home who was very gracious, kind, knowledgeable, and took all the time I needed to discuss my needs, and to find a bathroom remodel that met my disability needs perfectly. The initial price was too high for me to afford. He worked with me to adjust my renovation to get the price to something I could afford. We scheduled the renovation but set the option to cancel out two weeks so that I could cancel if I found another builder who could do the same quality of work for a better price. After exploring, several free consultations later, I decided to stay with Rite Window. I financed at 6.99% interest for 10 years with a monthly payment of $171 a month. I can pay it off early with no penalty.
As several of my renovation items were special order, we all agreed that it may take some time for all the items to come into their warehouse. The exact date for installation was not set with my permission. Luckily, they called a couple of weeks later telling me they got everything in, and would be able to install my new bathroom shower in a week. We set the date, and I began cleaning out my bathroom in preparation for there arrival. Again, technology got in the way, and I received an email confirming the installation for a different day. I just accepted this, and was prepared for the different day. That day comes and goes, no Rite Window installation. I call Rite Window, and I very nice women who apologizes profusely, states she sent the reminder with the wrong date in error, and promptly sent out a correct reminder date (which I seemed to miss?). In any case, they did come the very next day. They started at 8 am, putting drop cloths through the house from entry way to the bathroom. They worked very hard tearing out my old bathroom, pipes and all, and then reconstructed the framework for my new shower stall. the walls, base unit, shower bench, and handrails all went in without a hitch. We measured my height and set the shower head appropriate distance from the floor for me to reach it. The new shower door, that swung open with a 31" opening for my "big" size was just perfect. I could walk into the shower frontwards, and use the hand rails to safety position myself to shower. No curtains getting tangled up with my oxygen line, no shower curtain sticking to my body while I try to shower. The shower basin was 6" larger than standard, and no one else would even try to order it. The shower door was larger than anyone else sold, and everyone told me it couldn't be built. All of the contractors told me that to get what I was asking for would require a tiled shower stall, and that would add thousands of dollars to any quote which I couldn't afford. But Rite Window made it happen. Kudos to them.
When construction was finished they had left the two sides of the shower install with drywall mud slapped on and it will require a couple of sanding's and additional mud to get it ready for paint. This was part of the contract, so I was not surprised or upset, but still; I was left with a task that I would have preferred I didn't have. This does not reduce my stars for Rite Window, I am very happy with the work, and the price, and their professionalism throughout their work.
If I can make one corrective criticism or suggestion: I spoke with somewhere between 4 and 6 different people; some of whom did not know some of the particulars of my shower install. This resulted in my becoming anxious and frustrated at times during the process. If I had been able to speak with just one person (maybe two), then most of my concerns were likely never to have happened in the first place. In summary, may your shower install look as beautiful as mine!

The experience with this company was a happy one. Start to finish the ease and professionalism of the team put me at ease. The installation team were wonderful, very mindful of keeping things as clean and as less intrusion as possible. They actually seemed to enjoy what they were doing! This is difficult to find these days. My windows are beautiful and looks better then ever. The attention to detail impeccable. I had two windows replaced in my kitchen, one was large the other smaller over my sink and I was so impressed with their workmanship. Thank you!
