I would give this company zero stars if possible. What was promised to be a two-month project has now dragged on for over seven months, with no end in sight. Our experience has been nothing short of infuriating due to the company's blatant unprofessionalism, constant excuses, and complete disregard for their obligations.

At the beginning, multiple workers were present and steady progress was being made. However, as time went on, the workforce dropped off to just one or two individuals showing up only once or twice a week, causing the project to stall and stretch far beyond the agreed timeline. By the end of the third month, communication abruptly stopped under the excuse of "waiting for parts." After weeks of silence, someone was eventually sent to "measure" the site, stayed for less than an hour, and then disappeared without any follow-up. During this time, we also warned the company about electrical issues and damages occurring due to their incomplete work, but our concerns were completely ignored and no one responded.

Despite our repeated weekly calls for updates, we were met only with endless excuses — vacations, personal emergencies, and claims of worker shortages — none of which justified the complete abandonment of our project. We have already paid them for the work completed up to this point, but the rest of the project remains unfinished, and they have failed to honor their contract or provide any clear plan moving forward.

Adding further insult to injury, after months of no communication, the company finally texted us — not to provide an update on the project — but to respond to this scathing review. It is extremely telling that they only found the time to reach out when their reputation was at risk, not when their client was left waiting for months for the project they had committed to finish under contract.

Save yourself the time, money, and overwhelming frustration. Do not trust Reyes Construction Group with your home or your investment. Hire a company that actually stands by their word and treats their clients with professionalism and respect — something this company has failed to do at every step.

Mr. Reyes and his team did a magnificent job that is extremely beautiful and very impressive. Customer service is exceptional. I highly recommend the service, I am very pleased.

( February, 25, 2025).

We hired, J. Abrahams aka Jose Argueta Reyes from Reyes Construction Group for a home renovation that started in the beginning of November 2024 and it has been an absolute nightmare. He is incompetent, dishonest, and completely unprofessional. Our project is now months behind schedule, and we are left with severely substandard work that will cost us tens of thousands of dollars to repair.
•    Poor craftsmanship: Windows framed too small, subfloors left exposed to rain and snow, overall shoddy construction, severe damage to our structural wall on day 1 that was never properly repaired costing us thousands of dollars to fix and so much more.
•    No communication: He never provided a work schedule, ignored our requests for updates, and refused to take responsibility for mistakes.
•    Unethical business practices: He took a substantial amount of our money without delivering quality work.
•    Threatens clients: When we fired him for his incompetence, (at the end of January 2025) he immediately started making legal threats instead of addressing his failures.
•    Pattern of misconduct: We’ve since learned he has been sued multiple times for similar issues and failed to pay vendors for materials used.
This man is a scammer who should not be trusted with anyone’s home or hard-earned money. Save yourself the headache and hire a reputable professional instead.

Everything started fine but then…this is the cleanup we had to do after Reyes installed our floors in Dec. They blamed the slab, floor, the weather and everything in between. After pretty much dozen places bubbled on the hardwood floor, we decided to get new contractors. Every time I asked Reyes about the problems, I was told “we are professionals”. One surprise after another…Reyes glued the LVT click floors down to concrete (a no no for click floors) and they used the cardboard box that came with the floors as underlayment. The cardboard (what a genius idea) actually collected mold since Dec. You judge! We trashed the entire floor. Had to Redo. I paid Reyes for floor and install, I also paid them to level the concrete but they didn’t bother. Doing the right thing when people aren’t looking matters. I asked them to take responsibility. Their answer was nada - $0. But they got paid in full. What an f-ed up situation!!!

The Reyes Construction group has done an amazing job at helping build our back patio and are currently working on other projects within our home. My family and I are highly satisfied for what they have a achieved and I am constantly impressed by their ideas and hard work. I am very grateful to have them do so much and the company always tries to fit what is best for us. Love the work!

We highly recommend J and his entire crew for your next home project! A tree fell on our house, so we battled with insurance for months and J was so patient, met at our house countless times (without payment or a signed contract) to meet reps from insurance, gave us an honest breakdown of the work to be completed. He put in the work and proved himself before we even officially hired him.

Then he completed a major structural renovation for us in record speed, built us a brand new bigger deck, upgraded windows and flooring without us asking, and was available via text any time of day for us. His sunny disposition diffuses the stress you naturally feel from a renovation. And his crew was super respectful of inside mess + adorable with our 19mo! They felt like family by the end of the process. J made a really awful situation into a really great experience for us from start to finish.

I would highly recommend this company. Reyes Construction Group did several projects for us to include a kitchen refresh, garage addition, new roof, refinish hardwood floors and a four seasons screened in room with a deck. The entire process from design concepts, permitting and construction went very well and right on schedule. The construction teams were very professional and of high craftsmanship.

It was a pleasure working with Reyes Construction. I am very pleased with the final results of my kitchen renovation. I made many changes throughout the process and they handled them all perfectly. I highly recommend, in fact after my kitchen was completed I added 2 bathroom renos to the project.

Reye’s construction was recommended by a friend and they did not disappoint. J came and access the job, which was a bathroom remodel and deck removal. Construction began 3 weeks later and the team that worked on the bathroom was very professional and detailed in their work. Along the way, I was kept abreast of everything they were doing and Even went with me to get the supplies and made great suggestions that works.

We hired Reye's Construction to remodel our kitchen and build a deck based on designs created by Lynnette Brunson of Brunson Designs.

I had a great experience working with Reyes Construction to rebuild our deck. It was fast and easy to have them come out and provide an estimate. Pricing was competitive and they were good about making recommendations on how to achieve our desired results.

Reye’s Construction Group did a stellar job renovating my apartment, including a complete remodel of the kitchen, bathroom, floors, etc.

J was able to give me a quote on the spot and start the work within a week. His team was professional and considerate of neighbors which was especially important in a condominium building. They were very efficient and completed the job earlier than planned.

J advised me on the entire process to ensure that the fixtures and hardware I chose would work within the space and were of good quality. He took time to understand the aesthetic that I wanted and made recommendations when I didn’t have an idea in mind. This really helped as it was my first time doing a renovation and I didn’t know a lot about how to chose materials beforehand. J was flexible if items I selected were back ordered or I changed my mind. He helped me to find alternatives to ensure the job could be completed on time. He took time to answer all of my questions throughout the process to make me feel comfortable. He also explained things to me if there were changes to the original plan.

The quality of the work was excellent and the price point was better than other quotes I received. I am so pleased with the renovation and feel like I am living in my dream home!

It has been a pleasant experience to work with Jay's team. Jay gave us good suggestions during the consultation and priced well compared to other estimates. While working in our renovations, Jay provided needed updates for us, when we were still living out-of-state. J and his crew were amazing! We had our main bathroom remodeled and from the first day he came out to give it to an estimate, we felt confident that he could do the work. I was in a crisis situation, my roof was leaking so I had a company come out to repair my roof. However, I was told that before I get my roof replaced I will need to replace by side porch which held my roof. That's when J came to my rescue. Not only did he replace my side porch and replace my whole roof, he did extra. He recemented my steps which was in bad shape and remove all of the weeds and old branches from in and around my yard for no extra charge. I am very pleased with everything. He did not use cheap materials and he also gave me options when it came to price. The workers were polite and the job was completed within a week. He is the go to person and his prices are very reasonable. Thank you J and your team for the excellent work and service!

After the deck was built, his team replaced the stone in the patio, power washed the patio, and even power washed the side of our house for us. Can’t wait for him to come back and stain it for us in a few months. It’s gonna look so good!

My husband and I bought our current resident in 2014 and have done numerous remodels; we have used 3 contractors since starting our remodeling projects. We reached out to Reye's Group Construction 3 yrs ago to remodel our porch and have settled with them since then. Reye's Construction Group most recently remodeled our Kitchen and it's absolutely beautiful. The work is professionally done and the price was very reasonable. I absolutely love the Kitchen and the attention to detail placed in the work. I've been extremely satisfied with the work Mr. Reye's and his group have done and plan to use them for all future home projects.

I discovered a slow leak inside the wall of my master bathroom that required extensive work and mold remediation. J and his company were referred to me by a friend. They replaced everything down to the studs, as well as flooring, and essentially rebuilt my shower and part of my main hallway. Top quality materials, top quality work. The shower looks better than when I purchased the place, and it was brand new then. J is a real professional. His team is friendly, competent, and good at what they do. I highly recommend.

Reyes Construction does a lot of different types of work so you don't have to research a bunch of different vendors to get different things done, as we would. We basically did an overhaul of our exterior, and it was very reasonably priced.

My project involved upfitting the urgent care office from a previous veterinary center . Big job. Done on time at a very fast pace despite several challenges. Abraham is very jovial to work with, dependable and trust worthy.

I am quite happy with the job the Reye's Group did for me. Its a front porch my family always want and need, and the new addition get a lot of compliments from the neighbors.

The whole process from our first walk through the model homes to closing and even the support afterwards has been so personal and much less stressful than it would've been without such talented, responsive, professional and capable leaders. Reyes construction recently put on a new roof, repaired and revived my deck, put in a new sliding door to my deck and painted my front door. The quality of the work is amazing. this company did fine on my projects...but after a final review of the completed project, i had a few issues with the quality of their work.

some of the problems i was able to get my handyman to fix, but others were beyond his skill set.

i tried to contact the company and was told they would fix the problems.

they have since disappeared and never responded to my attempts for help. after 6 weeks of trying, i give up. really disappointed, but i guess i’m hunting for a new contractor.

We first met Mr. Reyes when he bid on a project. His bid was competitive and honest. We went on to work together again on another two projects. Each time, we

I contacted J Reyes about installing ceramic tiles at our home in Baltimore, Maryland and he was available to drive almost an hour there the same day for assessment. He provided his quote and his price was very reasonable, lower than others which was great for us. He was very nice, professional, patient, motivated and hard working. He took time to review tile options with us and gave good advice. He worked with us to buy the tiles and other materials at Home Depot early in the morning and started work the same day! He was very timely and prompt, kept us informed on his progress and sent pictures. Work was completed in 4 days and he did a really great job! The floor turned out beautifully. We are very pleased with it and would highly recommend them.

We have done three projects with Jay last year including a two room addition that is just completed.
Project 1: Build a Garage
Two years ago I had purchased a split level ranch house in Clarksville. Though I liked the house because of its location and price, it had one defect. It was missing a garage. The previous owner had converted the existing garage to an office room with porch in the front. I wanted to convert it back to the garage. More than 6 contractors looked at it and none of them could come up with a technically and financially feasible plan. I had shelved off my project for the next several months when I saw the advertisement from Jay on internet. When I called him and explained the project, he came promptly the same day and looked at it and discussed the options. I found that he has a sound understanding of my project and the technical challenges involved in it. Jay came up with a detailed proposal to convert the space into garage in 2 days exactly the way I wanted to do it. He quoted 40 percent cheaper than all the previous quotes and offered to start the work immediately. After awarding the contract , he obtained the necessary permits from the county, demolished the existing porch and finished the garage as per the plan. Jay got the garage inspected and approved by the county. Throughout the duration of the project Jay and his team was very professional, friendly and responsive to my requests for occasional changes and modifications. I am very pleased with his work and recommend him for any upgrades, additions or re-modelling of homes. Thank you Jay for doing a great job
Project 2: Renovate Interior
A few months after Jay completed the garage conversion project , I called them again to remodel my front porch and do some upgrades inside my house including replacement of the existing squeaky hardwood floors, remodel my bathrooms and paint the house. I also had them replace the existing sidings outside the house. The front porch had been an eye sore and I wanted to rebuild it. However it had posed some unique challenges to replace, due to the split level design of my house. I obtained quotes from 2 other contractors and none of them could match the value offered by Jay. After awarding the contract, he came with an architect and together they proposed a few design options for the porch. I selected the design that best matched my ideas and cost. As done previously, he submitted the necessary architectural drawings and the paperwork to obtain the necessary approval from the county. His team completed the work as promised on schedule and budget and the county inspected and approved the work. Besides this, he remodeled my two bathrooms after gutting them completely. Being an old house my house had lot of closed spaces making them less roomy and bright. Jay proposed some simple alterations to open up the space between kitchen and dining room and make it more modern looking. His team completed the entire work inside with least disturbance to us so that we could continue to stay the entire duration of the project After completing the remodeling project the inside space has become very nice and enjoyable. The upgraded porch has significantly enhanced the appearance of my house. Being so impressed with his work, I have awarded him my biggest project for a two room addition to my house. This project is just completed.

Knowledgeable, Experienced, Attentive and Detail Oriented, this company is capable of handling any home project regardless of size and complexity.
