I’ve used Renaissance Roofing twice now at my home in Plymouth, MI - first in June 2024 for a bathroom vent replacement and again in May 2025 for a leaking kitchen vent and added soffit ventilation. Both times, the work was solid, timely, and reasonably priced.

The main reason I chose to return to Renaissance Roofing for the second job was Michael Messenger, the lead foreman. He did excellent work on the first visit, was easy to communicate with, and clearly takes pride in doing things right. My roof has been replaced just for 8 years but found leaking on two sites in the crossing corners shingle, siding, and gutter meet, which made adjacent wood rotten. I chose Renaissance because the owner Don DePriest knows how to fix the leaking issues and he helps take the temporary measures in December to have eliminated the leaking over the winter and early spring. Don was patient when I was undecided about the color. Don also came back and forth to my home to answer the questions about whether I needed to choose repair (my former roof was just 8 years old) and the concerns about leaking issues. Trish was nice to help contact the gutter company and get the quote for gutter replacement, constantly communicated all the scheduling details.

The entire crew was professional. I practically thank Robbie, who patiently listened to me about my concerns, and Mike came to my house to have taken photos of leaking spots when the crew was working in our neighborhood before my scheduled date. My roof replacement was completed through their 2-1/2-day fantastic work in the morning May 8.

Renaissance Roofing just completed a top-notch job on my leaking roof which had been mis-installed by a different company under the house’s previous owner. I had gotten 4 total estimates for this job (roofing is important), and not only was Don’s competitive with the others, but he was the most knowledgeable on the unique layout of the house PLUS the use of best-in-class GAF shingles and materials. Everything was explained and outlined clearly, with great scheduling and customer service from Trish in the office. The day of the install, the guys all arrived right on time and took great care to protect my landscaping/driveway, plus did a thorough clean-up afterward so it looks like they weren’t even here. I’ve already received numerous compliments from neighbors and can tell the difference in roof and shingle quality just by looking. I would never use another company but this one (and have recommended them to family) for a job as important as a roof in an industry that deeply needs regulation – Renaissance Roofing is the best in Wayne County.

The salesman was extremely informative and helpful. Their crew did an excellent job. More than pleased with their company from presentation to completion and clean up.

The owner came out to do the evaluation and provide an estimate of the repair. While he was there he quickly patched the hole to stop immediate leaks, didn't charge me for it, and then provided a (reasonable) quote for a long-term repair.

His team came out and fixed the issue the following week.

I am extremely satisfied with Renaissance Roofing services and highly recommend them to anyone in need of a roof repair. Other roofing companies either refused to work with me because they only did new roofs, or told me that they could only guarantee no leak if I replaced the whole side of the roof where the leak was, or told me they would repair the roof but it would cost me extra for labor because I had a "type of roof that is hard to fix". Don from Renaissance Roofing came on time for the appointment, got on the roof and quickly identified the reason for the leak. It took him about an hour to fix it. He did not try to sell me a new roof (or half-roof), and took care of a couple other minor issues on the roof (all documented with pictures on his phone). The final price was a fraction of the quotes from the other companies. Three summer storms later there is no leak and I cannot be happier.
I have to admit, when I called Renaissance Roofing, for a moment I was hesitant to schedule an appointment because of the $98 inspection fee (it is waved if you hire Renaissance Roofing to do the work). Making that appointment turned out to be the best decision- Don was punctual, knowledgeable, honest and straightforward with me. I know who I am going to call if I have another roof problem!

We had Renaissance Roofing come take a look at a leak we had on our roof, they were initially a second opinion after the first company said they wouldn't fix it and told us we needed a new roof.

Don from Renaissance Roofing came over and told us it was a common problem and we definitely didn't need a new roof in the next few years and talked us through some other issues that he saw with parts of our roof that might cause us problems in the near future. After our first experience with a different company it was such a relief to deal with Don where there was no pressure and he wasn't selling us on anything, he was just trying to educate me on the things that were wrong.

They were also very clear, concise, and timely in their communication and the job was done within a couple of weeks (job itself took half a day) of getting the quote and we are very happy with the job that was done.

Family owned business and highly accredited were just a couple reasons I chose RR for my roof repairs. Had a leaking roof. Renaissance Roofing inspected the roof and identified several weak spots, including damage to mortar around the chimney. Presented several options and recommended a contractor for the chimney. Completed the project on time, cleaning up all debris. Excellent service, excellent value.

dan DePriest is the best. He put in our roof 20 years ago and comes to check whenever he is needed--which hasn't been often.

I was a little hesitant about having my roof replaced in December but the weather cooperated and everything worked out. The crew made sure that all my windows and doors were protected from flying debris as well as my central unit, pool filter and heater, landscaping, etc. No evidence that they were at my house other than an expertly installed roof.

I had a very bad experience with another house and another company in another state, and I would say this new roof hit the gold standard for how a roof job should go. While searching for a local roofing contractor on the BBB website, I was pleased to find Renaissance Roofing had an A+ rating and zero complaints. After viewing their website, I decided to request a quote and was contacted the next business day to schedule an appointment for later the same week.

Don, the owner, arrived on time and handed me a folder filled with information and samples, then proceeded to do a thorough inspection of my roof. He then provided a quote for 5 different options and took the time to explain the whole process - step by step and invited me to contact him with any questions.

Inside the folder I received were: samples and literature of the different underlayments & shingles, several pages of homes with the year installation was completed and addresses (sorted by city, shingle type & color), warranty details, information on the company, business cards and reviews/testimonials from previous customers.

Very unprofessional company had my roof replaced on 10/5/21. Sterling the “owner” was my representative to come out and price the roof. The total was over 11k which was agreed upon by everyone involved. So after the job is complete here comes Sterling talking about additional cost . I hung up on him so he could gather his thoughts. So since I was not trying to hear nonsense about him ripping me off he wouldn’t even provide me a receipt for the roof. But me being a business woman I purchased certified checks from my financial institution. I also have the contract because dealing with unprofessional poor companies this is what happens.

Roofers were great, had a tear down on the roof, they were very clean and professional, installed everything with no issues and they took there time and cleaned up the mess. I highly recommend them! I had Don and Jack who were great and explained everything when I was getting a quote, I would recommend them to everyone I know.

Excellent experience. I called Renaissance to repair shoddy installation by another roofer. I had a difficult valley next to a gable that had been leaking. Renaissance sent over Sterling, who gave me a free quote that was right in line with what others had asked for. However, he correctly identified the problem. (Others would have replaced functioning vents.) I hired him and he came back the next day to do the job. He pulled up the membrane in the problematic valley, constructing a neat little lip to direct water away from the area that had been plaguing us for years, and he replaced shoddy flashing in other areas of the roof. We've had a couple of heavy rains since, with no leaks. Sterling was courteous and energetic, but most importantly, he knows his business. I wish I'd used Renaissance from the start.

We had Advance Roofing and another company do Roof leak repair. Both did not hold up, it started leaking more. Both companies did not explain well and Advance Roofing charged almost $1K and the other company half that. Saw all the good reviews about Renaissance roofing and called them, the lady that scheduled the appointment was very pleasant and told me upfront they charge $95 to inspect the leak and if they repair they will take it off the final bill. Don showed up on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. He showed me pictures of damage and where the problem was. I know Advance roofing did nothing in the area where the issue was found. The other company did something there but did not do it correctly, they added more caulk causing more leak. Don diagnosed it properly, fixed all the issues and tested it. The other two companies I asked for pictures and they would not share it with me. Another couple of companies I called tried to rip me off by saying my roof is bad and needs total roof replacement (they send sales people,not repair person) and i asked them how much they charge for new rood and quoted ridiculous amount for roof replacement (I researched online and with neighbors and I know for the size of my home it should not cost more than $7K to $13K), by the way my roof is only 11 years old. I am extremely happy with the way he repaired it, the explanation and pictures of the repair gives me reassurance. Finally I found an honest business. I highly recommend Renaissance Roofing for all your roofing needs. Out of 5 I want to give them 10 stars. Thank you so much Don. Appreciate it.

Although I did not have a roof installed from Renaissance, I did have interaction with the company due to a minor issue. The owner Don handled it very professionally, timely and with excellent customer service. He followed up repeatedly until the situation was resolved and made sure I was completely satisfied.

We called Renaissance Roofing after witnessing first hand the amazing job they did the year prior on my neighbors roof. I have to say from the first call requesting an appointment for a quote to the completed install was amazing. When I called to make an appointment they were professional and quick to make a date and time that worked for me. When Don arrived for the appointment to provide a quote he was very professional and never tried to hard sell us. He showed us what our options were and let us decided. The office staff kept us well informed while we awaited our installation date. On the installation date the crew arrived at 7:30AM as scheduled worked non-stop until 5:30PM. The crew was very professional throughout the entire job, no foul language or bad behavior was ever observed. They even took time to greet my daughter after school which she loved. The crew used a few of my existing vents to save me money and went to the store to purchase black paint to paint them black to match the new roof. Following the installation the crew spent over an hour cleaning up, I still have failed to find a single nail in the yard. I would recommend this company to anyone, their price was more than fair and they have the top certification from GAF. Amazing company, Don runs a great and honest business.

Don was absolutely awesome. He fixed a small leak we had that went into our attic. We had several contractors out before him that would not even look in our attic or even spend time looking for problems on the roof. They immediately tried to sell us a new roof even though we told them that the roof was only 11 years old. Don actually spent time looking for problems that had to be fixed now and stuff that could wait. He literally saved us thousands. Renaissance Roofing replaced my failing ridge vents. The work was booked for the spring, but when the weather broke in January, they were here immediately , replaced the vents, cleaned up - even took pictures of the work to show me. Entire staff is great to work with.
