RORHI were terrific. They replaced all my basement windows and the basement door. They worked with me on choosing the right windows and door for my needs and they took care to match the exterior molding. They didn't try to upsell me like many of the other folks did. They communicated well throughout and were honest and fair in all dealings. The work/installation crew were terrific. They did careful work and left the place spotless. I will hire them again in the future.

I needed to replace the railing on my very large deck. I was interested in replacing the railing with a permanent no labour rail. I called and their Salesman came the next day/ explained the process and gave firm quote. Follow up was timely - goods delivered and installation was completed in the time frame expected. Good workers, polite. The leftovers were cleaned up and removed/ all a good experience .

The work was done in three days including demolition of my old deck. The builders were meticulous and did very fine work, I was very pleased with the end result and would recommend them to anyone! They were very responsive to my slightly out of the ordinary requests. From start to finish I have zero complaints about the process!

My wife and I were interested to hear what Remodel/Renew had to offer after getting many quotes. Well to be as brief as possible not only were we satisfied with the price and anticipated work to be accomplished, but it was also the customer service that adds to the 5th star rating. Tom was even kind enough to add things that we overlooked for minimum or no charge at all. Remodel and Renew recently completed the overhaul of our kitchen and dining room. We had building grade cabinets and counters and from the initial consultation they were patient, explaining the process and what options were available. Once they started the work, Evan and Mike were always available to answer any of our questions and the team was extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. Small things like putting up a tent so no dust or debris went into other parts of the house to the meticulous cleaning were greatly appreciated. We love our new kitchen and are so glad we went with Remodel and Renew.

Had RRHI replace my wooden front porch and second floor deck with synthetic flooring and PVC railing. The whole team from the initial estimator to project manager and the crew were very professional. The end result looks even better than hoped. They were very communicative about the plans and set expectations in terms of getting permits, when work would be complete, etc. Most definitely would use them for other major house projects.

They reframed the space, installed windows, built a new floor, drywalled, added new electrical, replumbed the heating, painted, and added siding. The crews worked very hard and were professional. I had my bathroom remodeled and Evan Jacobs oversaw the job. Can't say enough about him and RRHI! He was on top of everything and dealt with everything that my 40 year old bathroom threw his way. Very professional and the end result was way beyond my expectations.

We hired Remodel and Renew to put up a new deck for our pool. They did a great job designing the deck with the area that we had to work with. The workmanship is outstanding.

The gentleman that oversaw the project, Evan, was professional, courteous and knowledgeable.

They were very expensive, but built a nice, sturdy deck. The carpenters did not speak English, but they were very nice, and worked hard. They did a terrible job on the door; I can see daylight between the door and the frame. They were supposed to fix the door, but never came back. They did come back to fix the building code violations (mostly), but the door is very badly installed. The person who sold us the job planned very poorly where the window needed to be moved, but after some angry words, we managed to compromise, and they installed it. The window is not centered properly, but at least it works. They also promised to clean up, which they did not do. They left a mess,. and were extremely wasteful. Many bags of concrete mix and lots of lumber and unused EXPENSIVE railing kits ended up in the dumpster. The person who sold us the job obviously did not communicate with the boss, so there was a lot of "He said they would do WHAT?!?!" We did not end on good terms. The deck is nice, but the experience was very nasty.

Great service & great turn around….. replaced a 12x12 deck with composite & it looks amazing….. they tore my old deck down in just 1 day & only 3 days to rebuild my new & beautiful deck… the wife is absolutely thrilled with it…

I had a large complex project that was close to a quarter million in cost, and the team delivered beyond expectations. It all began when Tim came over and meticulously walked me through his catalog, showing pictures of various paver stones I could choose from. I decided to have pavers installed throughout the property, but for the front, I needed a heated walkway. Tim patiently explained the entire process and how the system worked. The project spanned nearly two months, as we uncovered the need to renovate the foundation where it touched the pavers. Mike, the co-owner, stepped in and recommended his team to handle the foundation repair with the utmost care.

As the work progressed, I realized that the front porch would benefit from PVC instead of wood to prevent future decay. Tom, the second co-owner immediately took action, ensuring the team delivered high-quality work. After all the payments were made, I noticed the gutter drain, which the team had installed, needed adjustments to prevent erosion. Tom honored his commitment and had the team return promptly to resolve the issue.

This team’s professionalism and dedication to quality give me peace of mind, knowing that every aspect of the job complies with state and local regulations. I will certainly be coming back for future projects.

We had a 16x20 screened in porch added to our home this past spring. We love it! We have spent so much time on it enjoying the summer these last few months and often comment on what a wonderful job the team did. RORHI replaced our old 8x15 pt wood deck with a new 12x20 Trex one, and also replaced a small balcony off our LR with a slightly larger Trex one. Overall we’re very happy with the final results. Just a couple issues. The crew spoke almost no English so communication was difficult. I assumed they'd use butyl joist tape under the decking (pretty standard nowadays) but they did not. They misgauged the stairway rise (the lawn slopes a little away from the larger deck), and built one less stair than needed, compensating by pouring a concrete landing pad that was a full 9” step above grade. This was unattractive and lacked railings at the bottom. I spoke with Tom about it and he offered to have it redone if we paid for the extra materials. I agreed and the results were fine (though the concrete work could have been neater and surfaced more attractively).
If I were to hire RORHI again I’d be sure that every detail was spelled out in writing before work begins.

RORHI completed our basement renovation. They did fantastic work, and all the contractors were highly professional: the framers, the insulators, the drywallers, the electrician, and the finishers. They went above and beyond to accommodate some special requests, like installing a commercial dehumidifier and finishing the walls of the storage closet, which were not part of the original scope, which greatly enhanced the finished look.

We had a great experience working with Evan, Mike, and Matt (the initial estimator), as well as Inmer (finishes and framing), Eddie (painter), and the electrician. Despite minor miscommunications leading to necessary changes, they promptly addressed our concerns, sending someone immediately or the following day to resolve issues.

Overall, we were impressed by RORHI's dedication and responsiveness, and we plan to hire them again for our next projects.

I had 3 companies come out to give us quotes for siding our home based on Angie’s list recommendations, Remodel or Renew Home Improvements was great from start to finish. We were a little weary at first because of past home improvement projects that we had done by other companies that had gone terribly wrong.

The salesman (Tim) was amazing and walked us through everything that we had asked for.
It was a 3 man crew who came every day for a week. Bless their hearts because we had a heatwave the week they started the project.
They stripped the cedar shingle siding off and wrapped and protected the whole house.
They were extremely clean and efficient with removal and cleaning debris each night.
We also had new gutters put on, since they had said they would have to take them down. The crew that showed up were just as amazing as the siders. They gave us a window of 10 to 14 days for completion once the work started, and it was about 6 days which was wonderful and very helpful. This company went above and beyond the entire project and the owners came out to oversee the final project, which was a pleasant surprise that owners came to check out the final project. I added pictures and I would totally recommend that you go with them Remodel or Renew Home Improvement Inc., for your project needs. I would definitely use them for any future project!!!

This company was a pleasure to work with. They accommodated all of my requests. The work was performed quickly and the quality came out AMAZING! Couldn’t be happier.

Even though the project started out a bit bumpy, you can tell alot by a company how they recover from any mishaps. Tom wilson (the owner) took charge of the project, and he and his crew ultimatley created a bautiful deck for my wife and I. Once the permit was pullled it only took seven days of work to compelete the project. We have a beautiful two level deck that is worthy of the Trex showroom.

I have worked with a lot of contractors over the years on various home projects. Mike and his team at remodel or renew home improvements gave me the absolute best experience I have ever had on a project. We were looking to replace our backyard decking. I had six or so different companies come out to look and give me quotes. Mike came out the same day and gave me a price that I felt was fair and competitive with the other quotes I got. First of all, I felt Mike was genuinely excited and cared about the work he was doing. He was able to start almost immediately, and right away I was impressed on how fast the project was progressing. The entire team from remodel or renew, was amazing. They showed up early every day and worked extremely hard. Throughout every stage of the project, they were detail oriented and went above and beyond anything I had ever experienced. My deck which is fairly large with two levels, and a built-in bar is absolutely gorgeous. The project was finished ahead of schedule, and we are extremely happy with everything. We researched contractors for a month, got 3 quotes and compared them to each other. 2 were close in pricing , the other was 40% more, probably because the big name and high pressure tactics.

In the end we hired Remodel or Renew home Improvement. The professionalism and care they showed us in the bidding process transferred to the install.

They started the job (a 16x16 deck, TREX) on a Thursday, had the inspections and finished a beautiful deck in a week. We are thrilled with their care for our home and the ease of the process. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

I hired this company through Angie’s list three years ago and was really happy. I hired them independently this year. The same project cost $3000.00 more, and it was a little smaller. They removed an old deck and left it for a week with no work done. When it was done it didn’t pass inspection, they put up a light fixture but didn’t connect it, and they left a concrete footing on the lawn. It has been months of waiting for it to be finished. We fixed the light ourselves. We did eventually pass inspection. And the footing is still in the yard. Don’t pay them until they are really done. I trusted them and shouldn’t have.

I absolutely love the job the team did. They made my house look beautiful. They worked really hard, the guys were really nice, and the project manager Devyn was awesome. He explained everything really well, was honest, and fixed any little hiccups we had along the way. I would definitely recommend this business and am going to use them for future projects (they don't do just decks and porches!) Thank you Remodel or Renew! I love it!

Our single family home in Woburn had two original (1959) concrete/brick entryways. They were an eyesore, and not very functional for an active family. We talked to a bunch of companies, and decided to go with “Remodel or Renew Home Improvement”. Tim Petrides was our project manager, and he was excellent. We texted and talked throughout the project, and it was one of the best communication flows i’ve ever had in 25 years of home ownership and many projects. The work teams that handled the stages of our project were all very hard workers, as proven during our difficult demolition phase. The new entryways (composite decking) came out exactly as we had envisioned, and as i’m writing this a couple months after completion, we could not be happier. Thank you to Tim and his team! I highly recommend these guys to any home owner looking to execute on a similar type project.

I finally got my deck after 10 years of wanting one. I had a few companies come out and give me an estimate. But when I told Tim Petrides where and what I would like. He created what I wanted. That’s the reason I chose Remodel or. Renew Home Improvement. He told me a time frame, even with all the rain we had, they met their time frame. I’m very happy with my deck. I would recommend them and can’t wait to work with them again

We will never use this company again. You get what you pay for. We have had great experiences with other construction companies which we now use. This job was a nightmare.

1. Trex rainscape improperly installed. Deck still leaks.
2. Gutters significantly undersized for the amount of water flow. We are now paying a company who knows what they are doing to replace the gutters with properly sized commercial gutters and downspouts.
3. Post lights not installed properly. They never actually adhered the lights to the posts so they fell off with wind. We had to buy all new lights and are having someone else install them.

This crew was excellent from the planning process to start to finish. We are so happy with our new deck and porch and would work with them for all of our needs going forward.They do stunning work. Thank you so much Mike and crew, you guys are the best!

I was looking to have a front stair (one of those prefab concrete jobs) replaced with a small deck, and to have my entire back deck replaced. After researching local contractors, reading reviews and getting recommendations, I landed on Remodel and Renew and I couldn't be happier. Devin was great to work with (professional, knowledgeable, responsive), pricing was in the ballpark of my expectations, but I was really blown away by the quality of the work by the construction teams. There was not a single detail that they took a shortcut on, and even left the areas cleaner than when they first arrived! They did such a good job on those areas that I immediately called on them for the replacement of three outside doors and shutters. Today, the 20+ year old house looks like new and we're thrilled.

Up front, I did not hire them to do my deck. But Devyn was responsive and did his best to sell me on it. Hence the 4 stars.
I contacted them a few months ago. I just wanted a small rotted deck replaced with a new pressure treated one that I could fit at least 2-3 chairs on. The deck is 2' off the ground, 3 steps up. Very small home, obvious I am not from money. Just wanted someone to work with me on price. I know a bit about lumber, etc. I'm quite handy. I could get rid of the old deck at my dump for $45.
The price quoted to replace my deck with one a few feet larger was really ridiculous. The materials were only 1/4th the cost as I am familiar and handy. He explained they pay their people very well, that is fine but not at my expense. I was given a small break by Mike if I financed and that was heavily promoted. If I can't afford the very high quote, I can't afford another monthly bill. They just weren't willing to work with me on my budget and my budget was in the quite reasonable range for the job. Only 1, maybe 2 of their guys would be needed to bust it out in a matter of days.
My 3rd contractor was the charm. Very experienced ( started in early 70's). He works for himself now so there is no excessive overhead, etc. to pay for. He built my deck for almost 3/4 LESS than the quote Devyn gave me. From the footings to the top of the rails - it is beautiful and far sturdier thanks to his knowledge and creativity. He gave me a materials list, I ordered it all from a quality conscious lumber yard and got everything delivered Free.
So, I will tell you all to look around. There are very knowledgeable, fair, reasonable builders out there. Educate yourself on materials, costs, average hourly pay rates & time-frames and you will be able to avoid being taken for a mindless fool. Do your Due Diligence and help yourself. It's a shame the way people get taken these days. They wouldn't like it if it was done to them.
If you have money to burn, well, be a mindless fool cause they'll be happy to lighten your wallet.

The team did an amazing job replacing my old deck with a beautiful, well-constructed new one. It took about 1 week from start to finish to tear down my old 12 x 12 ft deck and complete the new one just as Mike the owner told me when we signed the contract. The team did high quality work and cleaned up the area when done. I highly recommend them for your home improvement projects!

I stand by my initial review. This company appears to value $$$ over customer satisfaction. If I were to post the nasty lie-filled email the owners sent after my first critical review, no one who read it would hire them, seeing how they treat customers. You got your money, guys, so buck up and deal with critical but fair feedback.

We hired Remodel or Renew Home Improvement out of Worcester, MA to build a screened porch. We provided detailed architectural drawings with easy access to our architect for questions and clarification.

The company is apparently not capable of reading such plans much less building the design. Multiple ordering mistakes were made and there was little to no project management. There were long periods of time when the well-intentioned carpenters did not show up to work. We requested better communication regarding delays which never happened.

Among other issues the resulting porch is fully 10% smaller than the plans called for (as well as what R or R bid the project for) and the roof line was not built according to plans (which will require us to pay for reconstruction). They never acknowledged their mistakes and failures and their offer of compensation was pathetic.

This company may be qualified to pound out decks but our experience suggests they are not qualified to build a more complicated addition. Don’t be fooled by their reassurances.

I spoke with Tom when I called to have someone come give me an estimate on a deck what a great guy, he made me feel very at ease, he sent out his sales person Devyn Shea who I can't say enough about he worked with me the whole way through great sales person! The guys came and did such a wonderful job, they were so professional & they cleaned up every night before they left, I definitely will be using them here on in with every project in my home!
