Reliance Roof Pros

I have used Reliance Roof Pro’s both to re-roof my residence, and to do repair work on a rental house. In both cases I have been very happy with the work they performed. They provided quick and reasonable estimates, communicated very well throughout the jobs, and did high quality work. I would highly recommend them for any roofing project you need to have done.

As one of the top real estate agents in all of Oregon (ranked #2 as of time of this writing), and one of the partners at the biggest real estate brokerage in Oregon (Premiere Property Group with 1300+ agents across 17 offices), I, of course, know, work with and recommend many many roofers. However, when it came time to do a full roof replacement at my own personal residence, as you can imagine, the question of who to use became very personal and important, in a way like never before. For that reason, I leaned heavily on my go-to home inspector of 13 years, Jon Nichols, of House Detectives. He quickly and without hesitation recommended Reliance Roof Pros. From the moment I called them, everything was immediately better. You see, unfortunately, I had waited too long and my roof had sprung a leak in the middle of winter. That same day Matt sent Jacob to my house to tarp multiple problem spots on my aging roof. They charged nothing for that service and immediately started working on a plan and quote. I did get two other comparison quotes and Reliance was priced very fairly compared to others with far less of the stellar reputation than they have. They were easy to work with, went above and beyond in every way, even painting various materials to match my black roof, including the stainless steal hooks at the top of the roof. I had Jon my home inspector over to preview their work at multiple times throughout the process and each time he was blown away with the level of care, detail and workmanship. That says everything as he sees more roofs (good, bad and ugly) in a month than most people see in a lifetime. I can't say enough about the entire team at Reliance Roof Pros! Matt, Carlos, Jorge, Jacob and so many more were a dream to work with and did everything better than I could have ever hoped or imagined. This is the only roofing company I will ever recommend moving forward.

I had Reliance Roof Pros repair some leaks on my roof. Hervic came by, completed a thorough inspection, provided pictures and quoted me on options to get the necessary work done. I hired them and Hervic followed through to the end of the job to make sure everything was good and I was completely satisfied with the work. I had a skylight start leaking after owning the home for 20 seasons and re-roofing the home myself w help from my father. Skylight is possibly beyond my ability? From the second I met Juan from Reliance Roof Pros I immediately felt comfortable with the professionalism, work ethic and it was obvious the experience and know-how was there. I figured this would take the better part of the day between selectively removing comp roofing material, replacing the skylight, weather-proofing/flashing the skylight and replacing the shingles. I could not fathom Juan could be finishing in roughly 3 hours + or -. I went up on the roof to take a look. The skylight looked great, new flashing was visible and the new shingles were a perfect match where it was actually hard to see which comp sections were removed and replaced. Price is good, work is great, communication was great and in an age where people taking pride in their work seems more and more rare, Reliance Roof Pro exudes pride and professionalism. A+++ on top of 5 star review.

Our roof was replaced 2/7/24 to 2/14/24 by Reliance Pros. Matt Krill came to our house, spent considerable time explaining the process and listening to our needs and then followed up with a professional written estimate which included exactly what would be done and the materials to be used and offered a few options, all of which we took. Never at any time did we feel pressure and he was always available to answer our questions. Once the project started, the communication between the crew and the office was so smooth. Carlos kept on top of it completely. And the crew was hard working, very willing to answer questions, kept us aware of their schedule, were here working whenever weather
permitted. Cleanup was great- all the debris was picked up, the gutters cleaned out and construction materials including
the dumpster and portapotty were removed within 48 hours.
The final bill was exactly what we expected - no surprises.

I don’t have words, Reliance Roof Pros has the best customer service hands down. We’re approaching winter and as the temps dropped we were reminded of a leaking roof vent that flew off over two years ago. Casey came out immediately to inspect the situation despite this being our property managements negligence. He was highly informative, kind, and courteous. He even complimented my artwork! Once the bid was submitted I forwarded the information to my property management which lit a fire under their behinds to move on this project. I was disappointed to not be able to move forward because they’re not under contact but regardless Casey and his team acted quickly, diligently, and most importantly kindly. I got several bids for a complete teardown and roof replacement.
While I think they all would've been a good choice. I chose Casey and his crew because of his communication and detail and they offered the most quality and value for my money.
I can honestly say the crew was the best. Extremely hard working and friendly. Even got compliments from our neighbors how hard Jorge and his crew worked. Reliance sent out one of their people and he inspected our roof. Hallelujah, he said that the roof was fine and our problems were due to blocked gutters. I appreciate the honesty. No effort was made to sell me anything I didn't need. Based on my limited experience, Reliance is a roofer you can trust.

We received an estimate from a respected company in Clackamas that has done repair and maintenance work for us in the past, knowing they would be on the high end, and they were. The estimator spent less than 30 minutes on site and never went on the roof.

We reached out to Reliance Roof Pros, an Oregon City company. Estimator Casey Coloma arrived as scheduled and spent well over an hour on site and on the roof. He alerted us to a hole in the roof. The estimate came in quickly with a complete description of the work to be done as well as available upgrades (best practice). The mid-range estimate, with upgrades, was only a little higher than the competitor. It came down to the fact that they were a local company and Casey's professionalism.

The job was delayed a couple of times due to weather, but it was finished as soon as possible. The company representatives (Ginsely and Jessica) kept us in the loop. When we noticed some vents weren't installed, owner Matt researched, determined the issue, and had a crew out quickly to remedy the situation. Highly recommend Reliance Roof Pros!

Casey and the guys that came out were great. Our roof sprung a leak during the last rough storm we had. Casey was able to come out quickly and give an estimate and the guys were able to come out within a week (before the rain came back!) and do the repair. We had another company come out to do a bid on the same project, and it was double the price. We're very happy with the repair and would definitely recommend them to anyone with roofing needs.

Several weeks into it, I'm very happy with the job. It seems to be of high quality and it looks great. Everyone I talked to were friendly and professional, and they completed the job quickly. My only complaint is with the cleanup. At the time, I picked up a lot of small pieces of shingles, some plastic wrapping, several water bottle caps and swept up a few nails and staples off the driveway. Not a big deal, as I expected to find some. Today though, I picked up a roofing nail in my shoe from the lawn. I looked further and found a few more. I borrowed a neighbor's magnetic sweeper and picked up over a pound of nails and staples off the grass and gardens. A lot of this could have been avoided with the careful use of tarps, and perhaps some is left over from the last roof replacement, but I didn't notice any particular effort to prevent debris from falling into the gardens and lawns when they were here. I didn't notice any of the other reviews mentioning a poor cleanup, so this is probably a one-off. I still would highly recommend them.

It sounds like Reliance did a merger with Cooper Mountain Roofing. I was a little cautious at first knowing that they used sub-contractors. Casey was awesome in answering questions and patched a leak until I was up on their schedule. The crew that came out to work on the roof hustled like I've never seen. I have a fairly large house and they completed the entire project in 3 days. Most crews, it would take 5 days. The price was a a little more than some alternatives, but the materials they used (Malarkey) and speed they worked at were worth it.

My roof replacement was done earlier than expected, they worked with my specific time line and needs. I will admit that I can be very cautious and there were several text messages and emails sent from me over the three days of install ensuring the crew was aware of areas of concern and inquiring how they were going to be addressed. We have a large shake roof that is well over 30 years old. The roof is definitely showing its age and I expected to need a full replacement in the near future. After a referral to Reliance Roof Pros, got in contacted with Matt, the owner, and set up a time for an inspection and probable estimate.
Matt arrived exactly on time. Before the inspection he described his comprehensive technique for cedar roof evaluation, and we also briefly discussed goals and factors affecting a roofing decision. Matt is a good communicator and clearly knows his stuff. After an inspection lasting roughly a half hour Matt came back in with the unexpected good news that the roof was really in very good shape, he could see no significant problems with any shakes, and could not recommend that any work be done at the time.
Needless to say I was impressed with Matt’s honesty and straightforward evaluation, and really appreciated the complete avoidance of unwarranted sales pressure. For future reference and planning I did request a rough cost estimate for replacement and got that back quite promptly from Matt.
Bottom line is that I would highly recommend that Matt and Reliance Roof Pros be contacted when looking for a roofing contractor.

Matt went above and beyond in every aspect of this roofing adventure! I started by getting a quote from six different roofing companies. Matt's quote was the most comprehensive. He spent as much time as I needed to go through all the details and explain why he recommended certain things and why he might recommend against other options that weren't specific or appropriate for our unique situation. I felt like he truly individualized the plan for what I really needed--not just a blanket general answer. He listened to ALL of my questions and concerns and was so patient the entire time. This was really important to me when we are talking about the cost of a roof and such a large part of our home. Matt answered every single phone call, text message, and email promptly! I know it sounds to good to be true...but seriously Reliance Roof Pros provided the best customer service!!

I cannot recommend Matt and his crew at Reliance Roof Pros highly enough. We have a very large roof which had old cedar shake (and as it turned out, some rotten plywood sheathing underneath) that needed replacing. We had three companies come out to give us bids. One very large, well known company, and two smaller, local companies. Reliance Roof Pros was referred to me by a contractor I trust like he's part of my family, who knows quality work when he sees it.

Reliance's bid was not the cheapest, in fact I had another bid that was a few thousand dollars cheaper. But but based on the amount of time Matt spent inspecting our home and roof, getting to know the ins and outs of our structure, and the time he spent explaining to me what he was proposing, and teaching me all that went into the project, it was such an easy decision. He is so knowledgable and professional, and was able to answer each and every question and even draw diagrams to help explain what needed to be done. We selected Presidential comp, and scheduled the job. Matt and his crew hit the schedule perfectly, even finishing ahead of schedule. The crew was so efficient, and careful, and made sure not to leave a trace of the job on our property after each day of work. They were very respectful and friendly, and we felt very comfortable with them on our property for 4 days in a row. Matt was out multiple times daily to inspect the work, and ensure the safety of my family, and his crew.

In the end, the finished product (new roof and underlayment, flashings, skylights, added structural support of an overhang, new sheathing, new ridge vent, and ice barrier in a spot where we saw buildup, etc), we couldn't be happier that we went with Reliance Roof Pros. Recently I had my roof repaired and the shingles replaced by Reliance Roof Pros. The owner Matt Krill was very responsive to my needs. I am selling this older house and wanted to ensure it was up to code and would meet the needs of the purchaser for the next 20 years. He was right on time for his appointment and his professionalism immediately evident. He provided a very comprehensive quote only after he inspected the roof from both the interior and the exterior. He re-arranged his schedule to meet my needs and the work was impeccable. He called me during the middle of the repairs to let me know of a few additional repair issues that were needed once the shingles were removed. The finished project looks fantastic and the value provided was impressive.
I had 4 other quotes provided by other contractors. I am convinced that the work they would have provided would not have withstood the test of time. The few dollars extra I spent with Matt was well worth the piece of mind.

I really wish I could go higher than 5 stars! Matt was not only professional, but very detailed as well. He went above and beyond to make sure the problems were solved correctly with our roof. They were punctual and friendly while doing the work. I'm very happy that I won't need to find another roofer for any future projects because I know I'm going to get the best quality & experience with Reliance Roof Pros. I'm a real estate here in Portland and I have worked with dozens of other roofers in past. Reliance Roofing is by far the best roofing company that I have ever used! Not only did I receive a fast response from the company but they are reliable, knowledgable, and give extremely thorough and detailed bids.
