I contacted these contractors to reroof and supply coverings. I love the way it all looks. I also have to say, don’t sign unless their project is fully completed. Landon promised they would come back and finish a couple of things. One thing is the heater exhaust they failed to vent back through the roof causing fumes to back up into patio and bathroom window. Yes coming into the house. Also fascia boards with large gaps. Not appropriate for caulking. I have waited a long time. That in my opinion is a fail. We have a disabled son, his bedroom backs up to the bathroom. I should have known when Landon made the comment “I am not always nice” due to my compliments.
However I do appreciate the roof being done quickly before the winter came. Be careful on signing off your project.
You should always keep your word on what you state.

We needed a repair on our roof and we needed it done quickly. I contacted Apex and they got back to me quickly, came out and did an estimate, gave us a reasonable price and got the job done within the week. We are very satisfied with our experience and would recommend them!

We hired Apex to replace a 35-year-old cedar shake roof. Landon and his team were excellent across the board, from initial consultation to project completion.

This was a big project, almost 6000 sq ft of cedar on a steeply pitched roof replaced with composite shakes. We talked with several contractors to determine the right product and installer. Apex was extremely helpful during the decision process. Not a cheap project, and it was clearly important to Landon that we ultimately be happy with the result. He provided several addresses in the Portland area with roof installations similar to those we were interested in. His crew also brought out several samples of our candidate choices mocked up on full sheets of plywood and put them on our roof to evaluate for a few days (much more accurate than looking at photos online). Landon was responsive with clear answers to a number of questions we had on options and process. The bid was competitive, the communication excellent, and as a certified DaVinci Roofscapes installer we were confident in the quality, so we chose Apex.

It was the right decision. We now have a beautiful new DaVinci Bellaforte shake roof, complete with new skylights and flashing. We are very happy with the result. The neighbors also love it. Being retired and on-site during the two week plus install, I’m confident the quality of materials and workmanship was high. Rob, our project manager, was first-rate. He gave us status updates frequently and was happy to discuss details, answer any questions, and quick to resolve issues. Even went the extra mile and put a new DaVinci roof on our well pump enclosure – about the size of a doghouse. The entire crew was friendly, efficient, and punctual. After their thorough clean-up every night it was hard to tell they'd been there (that’s saying something after a 6000 sq ft cedar tear off :-)).

In the 35 years since we built this home, we've hired a number of contractors for significant interior and exterior projects. Apex has probably been the best we’ve worked with. If we’re ever in need of services they provide we would not hesitate to hire them again.

Apex is absolutely the best. They just replaced our roof, and throughout the process the people & workmanship were outstanding. Everyone on site was knowledgeable & courteous, especially our team leader, Rob. Their price was competitive, and they took the time needed for a professional, beautiful result. I recommend Apex wholeheartedly and would call them again, with any project, in a heartbeat.

We had a new metal roof installed on our home. 16” 24 gauge Standing seam; hemmed and flagged; fully wrapped facia and eave boards; and new 6k style gutters with clean outs. We were new to metal roofs, but both Landon and Robert were patient and accommodating; answered all my questions and provided great suggestions. Despite some initial work quality issues with a new crew, we are very pleased with the final outcome. Robert immediately brought the crew back out and had the issues fixed to our satisfaction. Landon provides a great warranty on labor, which was one of the deciding factors. The new roof not only looks great, but the extra attention to detail made this company a great value. I definitely recommend Apex and will be using them again for my other projects. It’s getting hard to find both quality and value these days. Do your research and get multiple quotes.

I can't speak highly enough about Landon (owner) and the Apex team. I got four quotes to replace my roof and Landon was the most responsive and provided three options to allow me to evaluate what I wanted.

Landon provided great information and was easy to work with but also wasn't in "sales" mode. He didn't roll out a 60 minute presentation and ask that my wife be present. He didn't provide a lot of "coupons" etc. or try to sell me on a different package. I picked the one I wanted and we went with it. I appreciated someone who spoke clearly and simply.

Once I signed with Landon his team was going within two days (obviously that response time would depend on weather, but we did this in February and there was a dry spot). The team was friendly and communicated when they showed up so I knew who they were. They worked hard and the entire roof was done from teardown to clean up in three days. They brought their own port-a-potty and I didn't have to be there when they worked. (Honestly I worked from home the whole time and the noise on the first floor wasn't bad. I still made all my calls.)

Apex provides a great product with one of the best warranties. They take before and after drone shots of the roof and share them with the home owner. These extra touches show they are transparent. I had a few one off questions during the process and the team was very responsive.

Bottom line Apex is easy to work with, responsive, no pressure sales or upselling, quality work, quick, and no hassles.

We would definitely use Apex again and would encourage anyone to at least get a quote from them. I don't think you will regret it.

Landon and Kevin came out to provide an estimate for a future siding project. They were on time, professional and gave great suggestions. Kevin even came out the following day with a drone to get great photos of the roof. Will be using Apex Home Solutions when we are ready to tackle this project.

Apex came out to replace old siding and fix a leaking window. The leak started at the beginning of winter, which is busy season for companies that fix window leaks and siding issues, but Apex was prompt and quickly diagnosed the issue. The workers were friendly and respectful, answering all of my questions and keeping me informed on the progress of the work as it went on. The price was fair and everyone I talked to from Apex seemed genuine and honest.

Overall, I was pleased with my experience and will use Apex again in the future if the need arises.

They were professional from the beginning including prompt response to my original phone call, getting someone out to inspect the job and promptly getting a bid to me. Landon and his team were great professionals at work. Landon took time to make me understand all the things they would do during the roof installation and explained the difference between a low quote contractor vs quality work. They have completed the work in 3 days as promised, but being busy with other work , they have come back after 3 days for the gutter installation. Overall, very happy with their service including their warranty which is 10 year for workman ship and 50 years for the roof.

We have only own our house 6 months. During the initial inspection during the purchase it was noted that the attic was not ventilated properly. POST-PROJECT REVIEW:
Our project completed a few months ago. Adding back a star because Apex took the feedback to heart and genuinely sought to make things right, through their actions and not just words. They brought in a new project manager, which dramatically improved the communication, expectation-setting, and accountability to the project's completion, while maintaining their high quality.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I initially had no intention of writing a review about my experience with Apex for our roof and gutter replacement, but after noticing pictures posted on Google of my still unfinished project solely for their marketing gain, I felt an honest public evaluation was warranted.

In short: the product and workmanship is overall good, if not great, but the project management and communication is very poor. In sum, this has been an underwhelming experience that’s unbefitting of a contract in the upper five digits. I think they are well meaning people that got too busy to care about my project in an atypical year.

The sales experience was great and seemingly sincere. I was impressed with the overwhelmingly positive reviews, the bid was competitive, and even included a complimentary picture window. We signed their contract in April 2020, but as with so many businesses after the sale is locked in, we felt delegated to their back burner.

After already getting bumped by a week for our June 1st start date on the roof, they were a no-show without any notice on our new start date, June 8th. I left a voicemail that afternoon inquiring about the plan, which went unreturned until they responded to an email I sent after a second no-show on the 9th. To be fair those days were rainy, but the absence of any proactive communication was a poor first impression as a now paying client. We got bumped a few more times in favor of other jobs before the work finally began in late June. While not egregious, and certainly common in construction to deal with moving dates, this turned out to be the beginnings of a frustrating pattern of over-promises, empty apologies, and lack of any sense of urgency surrounding my project.

Among the selling points was the owner/project manager would be present and overseeing the work frequently to ensure every detail was going to be taken care of, and also that I’d have access to their CRM system where I could follow along with progress viewing pictures from the roof. Neither ever became reality. He was rarely present, and even when I got him on the phone, he was driving between his higher-priority jobs and I felt my questions or concerns were often not remembered nor action taken where needed, at least not without additional reminders.

As of this writing in January 2021 I have not heard from Apex in almost three months, when I inquired about why sometimes the new picture window was fogging up, and when the most recent work occurred on the gutter. The window questions were never reciprocated with a response. As for the gutters, I was told by the gutter contractor he’d notify Apex about a section of failed flashing that should be addressed right away before we get too deep into winter. My expectation was also set the final section of gutter would arrive within two weeks and I’d be done. Many weeks and heavy rainstorms have passed by, with no plan communicated by Apex to repair this flashing, and hopefully nothing worse...

The accumulation of all these delays and their continued indifference toward the servicing of my project have turned this into a regrettable experience. Furthermore, I was asked, as a favor, to pay early a portion of the final deposit, which normally wouldn’t be due until the project is completed. That gesture has been rewarded by getting ignored for three months with no expectation for when or if my project will end.

Hopefully I’m the only customer in this position, as these other reviews would seem to suggest. I wish Apex no ill-will and hope their learning from my transaction will lead to better experiences for future customers, perhaps even the remainder of my own.

My roof was on its last legs and needed to be replaced. I reached out to Apex Home Solutions for the job and I'm glad I did. Their bid was competitive, the work was done quickly and professionally, and the new roof looks great!

I've never had to replace a roof before, so I'll admit I don't really know what I'm looking for in a product or service. But Landon and the team at Apex ensured we were informed as to all our options, but never pressured into something we didn't need or want. And with the rainy winter season, I'm pleased they were able to start (and finish) the job quickly.

I'd happily recommend Apex Home Solutions to anyone looking for a contractor, and will be reaching out again myself the next time I need some work done that's beyond my DIY skills!

I recently had Apex replace my siding (from T11 to Hardie) and a few of the houses original windows. Overall they did and outstanding job and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor to perform this work. Their pricing was much better than any of the pricing from the contractors who send people door to door. They were also competitive with other small contractors I had reached out to about the project. Landon did a great job helping us figure out a few of the finish details on the house and provided some recommendations that turned out really well.

I only had a few minor issues but those were corrected promptly when I brought them up. Almost not enough to cost a star but I figure 5 stars means perfect and they were close to that. They were going through some growing pains as they were working on more projects than they normally do so I wouldn't expect issues moving forward.

Overall my house looks great and 40 years younger. The new windows makes the house's heating/cooling function much better than I expected. If you are looking at having your siding and windows done and don't request a quote from Apex, I think you made a mistake.

The quality of the work from Apex Home Solutions was really good. We had our siding and gutters replaced, and the entire process was professionally handled. Landon was very responsive to all of our questions, and had great suggestions when we had to make design decisions. We would definitely use this company again.

I met these guys at the Portland Home Show earlier this year at a roofing and siding booth. I mentioned that I had roofing bids already but was still looking. To make this short the scheduling for quote, install, communication all throughout and final product blew us away of how great it all worked out. Quote in a day that was very reasonable. I've known Landon for a long time and he's been amazing to me he's easy to work with very informative and most importantly he really cares rather roofing, windows, or siding he is going to put your needs first.

We had a fabulous experience with Apex. For various reasons, we decided at the very last minute that we needed a new roof. They came out and had the work done in a week! In the winter! And it looks great.

Apex Home Solutions has installed beautiful standing seam metal roof on our log home. Our initial meeting was very professional and informative. Landon had answers to all our questions and was very easy to work with. All other contractors we talked to tried to steer us to a product they were “pushing” but we had already decided we wanted a standing seam metal roof because of all the tree debris that lands on the shallow pitches of our composition roof each fall and will not wash off with the rain. Landon understood our situation and provided exactly what we needed! His crew was all very knowledgeable and when we had questions any one of them could provide an answer.

Steep pitch roof with windows made for a difficult project. As with many projects, problems arise but none that Landon and his crew(s) could not resolve. Landon was quick to come out for the quote and got subcontractors working soon after quote was approved. Once the final payment was made, it became hard to reach Landon.

The subcontractors left a bunch of staples and nails littered around the property after doing their magnet sweep. I bought my own magnet sweeper and got about a half cup of staples/nails.

The quote and agreement listed a 50 year warranty, but the Owens Corning approved contractor must submit the request. The roofing was completed the first week of July 2019 and it's now September 2019. Not sure what's going on.

I worked with Landon from Bid to walkthrough on roof replacement and he made it easy the whole way. He had lots of options and was happy to share his thoughts with no pressure. He is a very friendly pro.

Roof looks great and his crew was timely, considerate and did a great job cleaning up each day. Knocked the work out in a week. I would highly recommend.

We hired Apex Home Solutions to replace our roof, and deck. They were fantastic. The work was great, and they even asked if they could work on our roof on a Sunday to get it done faster. Landon was great to work with and his crew was amazing. We're very happy with the quality of their work on our roof and amazing new Trex deck. They were also very good about making sure they cleaned up thoroughly before they left. Would highly recommend them to anyone!

Landon & his team did a fantastic job! We replaced siding, soffits, 2 new windows & new moulding around windows. The house is over 100yr old. Aspestos tiles were removed, & insulation put in. With this age of home there was quite a bit involved making things level & straight. As these challenges came to light, Landon was great about communicating & puting out options.
The house looks amazing! And is much warmer & quieter. Every time I’m outside passerby compliment the changes. I love it!

We're very pleased with the finished job. They put on a Hardie board and batten pattern with the factory applied finish. Looks like we won't need a repaint for a long time. The managers checked on the job frequently, and we were able to discuss details of the trim and patterns as it went along. The crew was friendly and respected our property. Overall, a very good experience.

After 19 years in a house we bought new, 3 different roofing companies told us that we'd be lucky to last one more year without a serious problem. After reviewing 3 different proposals for replacing the roof, we picked Apex Home Solutions. We are very glad we did! Their bid quoted higher grade materials at a lower price. But that's only the beginning. Brian and Landon (company owners) were extremely pleasant to deal with, and progress on the job was as promised. They maintained a clean, magnetically swept site every day. The work crews were friendly, tidy, and competent. Brian inspected daily. Brian even replaced dry rot not corrected by the previous year's painting contractor and constructed a revised runoff system. The finished roof is a thing of beauty, and has survived 2 or 3 heavy rain squalls without a leak.

We recently used Apex for our new roof installation and the whole process was seamless. Landon, Bryan and the rest of the Apex guys really went far above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Their work was high quality, customer service excellent and they made a really great effort to walk us through the length of the project. We couldn't be happier.

My wife and I would like to thank Landon, Bryan (owners) and their crew at Apex Home Solutions for the great work transforming our 27 yr. old shake roof. This was a big job, from removing the old cedar shakes, applying 1/2"CDX plywood, a synthetic water proof underlayment, to the beautiful Owens-Corning Presidential "Woodcrest" carbon color composite shingle roof. We were impressed with the nailed application, which includes a 130 MPH wind warranty. Our home is located at 1100 ft. and we get strong winter winds! Bryan was overseeing the job on a daily basis, with "a goal to make the customer as happy as possible". They did that from start to final clean up. We love our new roof!

These gentlemen are awesome and they did an absolutely amazing job!!!....For starters they took the time to listen to what exactly we needed done. They knew the time frame was short as we were trying to have the siding finished before the appraisal date, not only did they finish the job on time and stayed within the proposed budget, they also fixed the drywall hole in the ceiling and did alot of extra stuff that would of easily cost us way more money! Even after we closed the deal on the house Brian came back and installed the new home security system for Free!!! We already recommended Apex to our coworkers and I know things will Go Forward..Unbelievably content..Aloha Michael & Sara

This is a review for Apex Home Solutions. Apex replaced our roof and did a really fantastic job. Their final cleanup was meticulous as well as they cleaned up daily. Not only does the roof look great, but Bryan, Landon and crew were very easy to work with. Their estimate was accurate, and they even did a few extra things just because they wanted so much for it to be perfect. We have highly recommended Apex Home Solutions to our friends and neighbors.

My mother-in-law had a gazebo roof redone - it was on time, on price, and cleaned when done. She was thrilled and loved Brian!
