They put on to drip guards over my front and back doors so I don't get wet and they replaced rotted wood on my doomer and new flashding it looks great looks like a new window they did great work going to replace the flashing on the other 2 windows

Refined Home Services just finished up an exterior remodel with new roof, skylights, siding, windows and more. They were absolutely fantastic to work with from start to finish. They are experts at construction. Their craftsmanship is amazing, pricing is very reasonable, they are honest and also just great people to work with. I can't say enough good things about this company and it's people. I am immediately having them do more work because contractors like this are nearly impossible to find.

I chose to have Refined Home Services perform the work I needed done because of their excellent reputation. They added some new structural beams and shingled my roof. They did a great job and the clean up was thorough.

This is the second time I've used Refined Home Services, and not the last. I had a very difficult project to address a membrane roof leak over a sunroom with beautiful maple ceiling. The job further entailed removing all the composite decking on top of the membrane as well as removing and replacing a glass panel wall.

I'm an incredibly detail oriented engineer and probably one of the most demanding customers possible. I had created a checklist of all items I was concerned about, e.g. numbering all the glass panels and decking and other details. Throughout the entire process there was clear communication with the office and everyone I worked with. Jimmy, Jesus and team covered every item on my checklist and put every piece of composite decking and glass panel back exactly as it was. They exceeded my expectations with improving how the structure underneath was built so now my glass wall is sturdier than when first built. I've never been more relaxed with contractors working on my home.

The work was fairly priced compared to other quotes we received. My wife and I say we're blessed to have made the right decision sticking with RHS.

Working with Refined Home Services was the smartest decision we could have made when having our exterior door replaced in our three-season room. What was once an awkwardly installed storm door with angle pane glass and large gaps at the bottom ( allowing outside air to freely flow into the room at all times and making the room especially uncomfortable in the late fall, winter, and early spring), is now a beautiful exterior door that’s made to keep the outside air outside, and the room inside comfortable - even with much of the door being glass. The rep we worked with knew exactly what type of door and what type of glass we needed for the area we live in, knowing we wanted to use the three season room year round if at all possible. We were made aware of various options available to us, the pro and cons of each, and he insured that the new door ( as well as the framing and new storm door) would even match seamlessly with the exiting trim both on the inside ( with the only work needed being a single coat of clear stain on the trim surrounding the door) as well as the outside. Installation was a breeze and occurred within just days of the door arriving. The team who installed the door was courteous, mindful of our home, and professional every step of the way. Given our experience, I would highly recommend Refined Home Services to anyone needing exterior work done on their home who also wants a quality product, knowledgeable representatives, and a professional install team. When it’s time for our next exterior project, there’ no need to look anywhere else, I’ll be calling Refined Home Services again and again!

We recently had our roof replaced by Refined Roofing from Refined Home Services. We made a horrible choice.

LIke many people, we rely on customer reviews and word of mouth when hiring for home projects. Despite being the most expensive option, we chose Refined Roofing after relying on other customer reviews. A huge mistake! In short, do not hire Refined Roofing because of their lack of site management, their lack of professionalism, and their deceitful behavior.

We live in a neighborhood where houses are close to one another. We were concerned about the impact of our project on our neighbors and made this clear to Refined Roofing at the start. We were promised careful site management from a site supervisor, with a specific promise to tarp the area, including the neighbor’s yard, to capture all debris. NO supervisor was on site during the actual execution of the project. As the photo shows, the area was INADEQUATELY tarped, debris was carelessly spewed all over our property and our neighbor’s. When supervisors finally visited the site, they promised to repair the neighbor’s yard. Once I paid my bill, they refused to make good on their promise.

Additionally, the actual workmanship was sloppy. Among other things, they knowingly applied broken shingles to the new roof and did not apply a promised second coat of rubber in one area.

Furthermore, the owners of Refined Home Services, Gino and Karen, were rude, dismissive, and dishonest when confronted with the facts. They denied that there was any debris mismanagement or damage, despite the photo proof included here. While the company replaced the broken shingles and finally cleaned up the initial mess, they refused to take responsibility for the damage they caused and left us in the uncomfortable situation they created with our neighbors.
In short, Refined Roofing lacks quality of service, integrity, and decency. This company is not worth hiring … ever.

Refined did an amazing job with our siding replacement. They were very professional and helpful throughout. The crew worked extremely hard even in the cold weather, and the project turned out beautifully. I highly recommend them!

I hired Refined Home Services to do a renovation to my business. This included construction of walls, bathrooms, closets, flooring, doors, and other finish work. We also used them for installing gutters. My experience from start to finish with them was a truly positive and great experience! Whether speaking to the owner, Gino, the office admin, Karen, or the crew that did the work (shout out to Jesus who was fantastic!), I can't say enough good things about all of them. From start to finish, it was a smooth and easy process, and I highly recommend this company for your next project!!!

Great people to do business with. They not only know what they are doing, they do it at a competitive price. I have used them for four rooftops, and referred them out to at least another 3 with no complaints or issues.

We used refined when we needed some roofing work prior to our solar install.

Refined did a great job on the roof. Unfortunately, come winter we had a small issue with one of our upstairs bathrooms venting properly, leading to moisture in our attic.

Refined came back out to examine the issue and while mother nature threw some weather related curveballs that impacted scheduling they quickly addressed.

Eric and Isiah were great through the process.

These guys are the real deal. Excellent communication, very quick turn around and quality work. I had some shingles blow off with this wind, I called them and was promptly greeted by Carla who was very pleasant, but most importantly, very efficient at getting my info and getting me in touch with Adam. Adam promptly called and had Eric and Nazario out the next day, this morning. Eric quoted the job, and we agreed, and he and Nazario were on the roof within the hour getting me all fixed up. They cleaned up and were on their way. Refined Home Services is now on the short list of contractors I won't hesitate to call. Communication is sorely lacking with many contractors, but Refined sets the right example. Thank you!

We recently had CertainTeed vinyl siding installed by Refined Home Services. And I am over the moon how it turned out!!! It is better than I could have imagined! The pricing was reasonable and the salesperson ( Dave) I worked with listened to my vision and implemented it perfectly. The workers on site were polite and very professional. They cleaned up after themselves prior to leaving for the day.At the same time- I also had RHS remove my old front porch and replace it with Trex decking and that is just stunning! I’m finally proud of where I live - no more cringing when I drive down the street!

Gino and his team did a phenomenal job on my roof, skylight, and gutter replacement. They were able to squeeze me on their schedule within days of accepting the estimate and completed all the work within one day. Communication with all involved was great, Job site clean up was immaculate, and the finished project far exceeded my expectations. RHS has definitely earned my business for future improvement projects.

We had an excellent experience with Refined Home Services. Dave came to my home to do the estimate and we had the quote within a day and it was very fair. He was polite and professional and started my experience off on the right foot.

RHS did a great job replacing my roof. They were very professional, efficient and the roof came out great. They also had the best pricing around. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a roof replacement in the future.

I cannot say better things about refined home services on the job they did on my house. Whole house had cupped cedar shakes. I figured replacement would be an expensive night mare.

Gino came out and did a walk around took measurements and got me an estimate within 2 days. At a price point that couldn’t be beat to strip and reside the whole house in vinyl siding. With making any repairs needed along the way.

His crew showed up and crushed the install. They were done from top to bottom in 5 days. Everything was done perfectly as described and with all the cedar that came off the house my yard was spotless.

Cannot recommend Gino and his crew enough after the open communion, fast turn around, attention to detail, and price point. Highly recommend this company for their skill set and will be using them for any projects moving forward.

They were careful to cover all the plants and foliage that had potential to get damaged as they removed the old roof. The crew did a fantastic job cleaning up picking up every scrap of removed shingles they and scoured the area for any nails that might have fallen around the house. The dumpster they brought was taken away as soon as the job was done.

We had a good experience with Refined Roofing. They arrived to planned schedule, took extra time ensuring the yard and house surroundings were clear of debris (we have small dogs) and were responsive to all questions.

I hired Gino and team to redo two of my old decks. Yes, I originally posted a good review right after they finished and I normally would just leave it be despite the quality of Refined’s work completely failing the test of time. But the level of aggravation, harassment, and deviousness that I have experienced from Gino is beyond comparison, and trust me, I’ve dealt with some real bad contractors.

While I can forgive (and did) the fact that when we originally did the first deck, they took forever to do it, lots of stops and starts, jagged nail lines, didn’t finish a stain as promised (until I foolishly paid them to finish the second deck, many months later) the part that forced me to rewrite this review is how badly the work held up and how Gino decided to manage the situation.

I sent Gino pictures of leaks underneath these decks a month ago, and I gave him the benefit of the doubt that surely these brand new decks couldn’t already be leaking. I first called my window guy and he came and said no way this is a really bad deck job and showed me all the holes, I was aghast. I told gino and he said he would “look at his old photos” and get back to me the next day and send someone by. That of course never happened and it was only After calling multiple days in a row (and being ignored at first) and telling him that I found another leak that he offered to address it.

But when I called the office to finally get someone to schedule, they changed their tune and said that they had pictures that showed how flawless their work was and that if I used a different contractor to fix their mess that that would void my warranty on their work. They were already covering their tracks.

This really bothered me because they knew I spent the last few weeks having to hire multiple other people to figure out the source of the leaks, when gino and co obviously knew all along they were to blame. Rather than take any responsibility or just offer to come out right away and fix it,
they play the victim card and say their work is flawless, as if the water gushing down on my floor is borne out of my imagination.

My opinion is that his game is just to sign up as many new customers and do as many jobs as possible, with no care for quality or maintenance, and be as difficult as possible to reach and fix issues , so that you give up and use someone else and “void the warranty”.

But I’ll leave you the pictures and you can decide yourself. Did I destroy my own decks and create all these holes so that I would allow buckets of water to come through and then deviously blame the poor victim Gino? Or did Refined just do a bad job and become increasingly difficult to own up to it. They’ll probably reply and say they offered to come address it. But that was only weeks later and after many leaks and not being able to reach anyone with any sense of urgency or accountability.

So what would you have done? Wait for gino for weeks while water is dripping ? Or get someone else to fix it ? And if the people who come fix it show you how bad of a job they did, would you really want Gino anywhere near your house again?

I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. I honestly wish I had never heard of this company and just used someone else. In the end , it’s my own fault for trusting Gino. But don’t make the same mistake that I did…

I wanted to send out this review for anyone that's considering having their roof done. Whether it's a simple modification or a complete roof, as in my case, this crew is absolutely amazing!!
From Gino, to Rick and of course Karen, to the most professional crew I've had the pleasure of dealing with, you will be amazed at the workmanship and effort put forth by all. These guys were here at 7am and stayed until 5:30 two days in a row. They had to completely rebuild my roof from the rafters up and would not and did not stray from their concern for our safety and the longevity of the roof. They are awesome and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I would highly recommend Refined Home Services for roofing work. Requesting a quote was easy online and they were very responsive. Dave was a pleasure to work with, from the initial quote to quickly responding to questions along the way. Karen was very communicative with scheduling and details. The work was scheduled less than 2 weeks out. The team arrived on that day first thing in the AM, right at the designated time, worked hard and efficiently all day and ended right at the time they told me at the end of the day. They did an outstanding job protecting landscaping and outdoor furniture. Their clean-up was impeccable - no trace of a nail or any debris - even cleaner than when they began as they went out of their way to blow leaves from around the house and out of the driveway! It looks fantastic (they also excellently replaced several skylights) and, more importantly, I'm confident the sealing details were done to ensure the house and garage are protected for many years to come. We had refined home services build our deck and we couldn’t be happier! They did a quality job from start to finish. Keeping the job site clean the whole time, being in the trades myself I am very picky and meticulous with other peoples work. But I couldn’t find one thing to complain about. Best company ever! I contacted refined to replace my roof and build a deck at my house they came right out, got me an estimate the next day and completed the work on time and as promised. Clean up was done throughout the entirety of the project, no nails, no damage, great communication! we are very happy with the service we received, and will be contacting them again in the spring to do the windows and siding!

I had Refined Roofing repair a rotted roof on a porch of a two family home along with a repair of a rotted beam. First of all they have some answer the phone which is a huge plus. I made an appointment for an estimate and they showed up on time as promised. The beam repair was not straight forward and we could not tell what need to be done until it got pulled apart but we discussed options. In a couple of days I received a quote and they showed up on time with a crew and stayed until dark until everything was finished. I came back in the morning expecting to check on the progress but it was complete. The price was not the least expensive but the speed and reliability was worth the extra money. So many times I have had contractors not show up to quote or never provide a quote. I will definitely use again.

Second roof with Refined, nice roof no issues. Price was competitive, service was above average. Easy to deal with, and no surprises. Will definitely use them again and refer them to friends and family.

Third: Great value. They weren’t the cheapest quote, but the cheap companies were clearly not professional or responsive. However, we did also get higher (thousands of $ higher) quotes from comparable companies that were clearly ripoffs. We had companies come back trying to match refined’s price - which felt very “icky”.

We had our old, deteriorated Masonite siding removed and replaced with vinyl siding. There was also an area of wind damage to the roof that was repaired. Dave Bucklin was very responsive to our needs and anxieties and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The CertainTeed Monogram siding looks beautiful and the color is just what I wanted. The entire team was helpful at every stage. We are thrilled with the results!

From the very start everything went great. Matt set up a time to see the project, gave me an estimate, and scheduled the job within days.The crew arrived at 7:30am and by 6:00pm the project was complete and everything was cleaned up.

I am the President of a small condo association which has 2 buildings and 10 units. Refined were able to complete these roofs in 5 days. They worked fast, cleaned the area each day and I think did a great job! After the job was done, we had a small complaint and they were very willing to fix the problem to our satisfaction. Lucas and his crew left and my wife didn’t even know they had been there. They cleaned up after themselves and made quick work of their job.

We engaged Refined Roofing to replace our aged roof on our house in Newburyport. We worked with Lucas and he was great at customer service and setting expectations. All went well up until the actual job was started and performed. Refined Roofing farms out the job to a third-party vendor with few english speaking members. The leader of the on-site vendor had trouble understanding us or our requests/concerns. Without english speaking staff on site you will have trouble communicating with the install team. The job was simple - Remove two skylights and replace with framing and sheathing. And then re-roof The vendor used the wrong size plywood (1/2" rather than 5/8") and the vendor totally botched the interior framing. Both needed to be re-done. Which means that the roof needed to be torn back to replace the sheathing. Less than ideal and create so much stress and quality concerns for us. We hired a contractor to repair the framing and inspect the roof. An additional cost that makes us wish we went with a more reputable roofing company.

Great, prompt service. Communication was 11/10. Very satisfied with the job. Fixed venting, redid roof, and fixed some stuff in the attic.

This company has top notch customer service from the initial conversation with Katie for scheduling a bid to each and every promptly returned call from the job supervisor during the job. We've had many roofs done over the years & have never had such a hard working, prompt, clean, knowledgeable, friendly crew. They paid attention to detail, cleaned up the area at the end of each very long day, covered all the landscaping close to the house with tarps, and left the area very clean at the end of the job. They really take pride in their work. My husband is very picky with any contractor working on our home and was very impressed! I would highly recommend this company to friends & family and wouldn't hesitate to use them again on another roofing job.

Summary: The team at Refined Roofing were upfront, professional, transparent, and showed a dedication to delivering a quality product. I would highly recommend the again.
Background: We had a roll roof that was in need of repair (see pic). Due to the pitch of the of the roof the best solution was to put in a rubber roof. The team was able to haul a single 6 mm sheet of rubber material up onto the roof. They set down some extra insulation and then covered the roof with the rubber membraned (see after pic). In addition we had a small shed roof that required re-shingling again the team was professional. They removed hauled away the old roof and installed the new roof. The one item that showed the attention to detail was that after the job was completed they surveyed the surrounding area to ensure there were no stray nails on the ground. This seems like a simple task but I am surprised how many contractors forget this little item. Refined Roofing would be well worth a call if you are looking for a roof.

I cannot say enough great things about this company. Last year we contracted them to replaced our 40 year old masonite siding with a new vapor barrier, Exterior Portfolio Market Square vinyl siding, new gutters and a SureGuard Leaf Filter System, which keeps leaves and debris out of our gutters. Yesterday, Refined Roofing replaced our entire roof, using their Refined Roofing System and Owens Corning Duration Series shingles. Our house is more energy efficient, looks awesome and the work crews were outstanding to work with. I highly recommend Refined Roofing.
