Rees Restoration

Could not have had a better experience with Kyle at Rees! We already had insurance on board for replacement due to a company coming out and getting the quote for us, but that company fell through so we turned to Rees who came highly recommended. I definitely see why now! Within a day of contacting Kyle he was at our house on Tuesday to get pictures and bring roof samples, Thursday we had made our decision on shingles and he was able to get us scheduled for the replacement the following Tuesday! Crew came out Tuesday morning and got our roof replaced with Kyle coming out that evening to check the work. Wednesday another crew came out to replace rotten wood on our chimney and replace our gutters then Thursday Kyle came out to take another look and walk it with us. He’s even coming back out again with a magnet to triple check all nails got picked up in our yard even though it looked like the crew did a fantastic job at cleanup initially. His constant involvement being so hands on is definitely what will separate him and Rees from the other guys! Cannot believe how quick the process was and how easy Kyle made it for us. Cannot recommend enough!

Completely unrelated to the roof but we also noticed our AC unit wasn’t running while doing the walk around with him and he gave us a connection to an awesome HVAC company- truly can’t beat his level of care and personableness!

Rees Restoration did a great job taking care of our homeowners claim for hail damages this past year. They worked well with our insurance company and the subcontractors, and kept the ball rolling. We had several hiccups with the work, but Rees was willing to work with us throughout the process. We are overall satisfied with the work, and definitely would recommend them to others.

Working with Eric has been a pleasure. He worked with our insurance company on 2 hail damage claims from year ago. It was for our house and a rental next door. Both claims were denied and closed but after Eric took another look he convinced our insurer to reconsider. They did! We received excellent customer service from Eric and the quality of work from the crew was outstanding.

In June of this year we had a large limb from the tree in the front yard land on our house. It caused significant damage to the roof, ceiing, and the tree itself taking out numerous branches. Our insurance agent put me in touch with Eric Voss at Reese Restoration to start the clean up and repair work. The limb fell around 2 pm and by 6pm that night his team had it off the house, removed from the property and the roof secured from any rain entering the whole. Eric met with us the following morning to survey the damage and get the restoration process started. After that meeting i knew we were in great hands and felt confident that everything was going to be thorughly gone through. Eric was able to be there with us when the insurence adjuster looked at the damage and stayed after the meeting to help us understand all the next steps and how the process worked. Comunication was great while the repairs were completed and any questions or concerns we had were quickly answered and followed up on. We are very happy with the completed work and would highly recommend Eric and the Reese team.

Chris Clark from Rees was a great guy to work with. He came to our home, inspected and got us approved. He did all the hard work. He spoke with our insurance company and worked out all the details with them. All we had to do was pick out colors. Chris got us approved for a new roof on our house and 2 barns. We also got new gutters and downspouts. The roof was put on in 1 day and the gutters on another day. Everything looks fantastic! The crew cleaned everything up. Chris was a very professional and kind person. When we first met, my husband was very ill and Chris being a firefighter recognized that. He was very supportive and gentle with us. Chris continued to check in on my husband to see how he was doing, long after his job was done here. I have referred over 25 homes in our small community since our roof had been installed and Chris took care of them as well with the professionalism and kindness as he did with us. I might add that most of those homes now have new roofs as well. He is honest and caring. He will work with you to the end in everyway he can. If you have questions or concerns all you have to do is shoot him a text day or night and he responds very quick. Chris is a Great guy working with a Great company. Oh and you can get a referral fee for every house that he gets new roofs on that you refer to him . Since we first met we have now become friends. If you ever need a new roof or just want to get it inspected to see if you need one, Chris can do it for you (free inspection). When you call Rees tell them you want Chris Clark, he's the best! James Simon was great to work with and went above and beyond to make sure all things were taken care of and done right.

About a month ago I had a pretty bad leak inside my house, right after Indy had 4-5 days of rain in a row. I called Rees and recieved a response very quickly after. This morning the roofers showed up, on time, got my roof done, without issue and have left all in one day. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure my yard was back to normal before they left. I have no complaints, would recommend!

Our house received in excess of 220K in damage from the June 25th tornado.An hour after the tornado hit James Simon was asking how he could help. Within hours he had workers making sure the house was dried in. He immediately began working with our Insurance company. His frequent communication with us was instrumental in navigating us through the reconstruction process. As each task was completed he made sure the work was completed in a quality manner and was acceptable for us. James was great during the whole process. Professional, communicated well, and made sure the work was performed in a quality manner.

I just want to say I appreciate all that each person did to help us get our roof back to normal. We had a leak and they came out and put a tarp over the hole in the roof. After that we decide what action needed to take place. After about one day they said how about we get the roof on this weekend. This was on a Thursday and on Saturday morning the Rees Crew came out and worked until it was done. This was our first time having a roof installed and I could not be more satisfied. No complaints here just a job well done all around. Thanks so much for everything Rees Restoration and we will not use anyone else in the future.

I would give them 0 if I could. They beat the fire trucks in after the tornado. They lied and said they would make our house water tight. It wasn’t make our time out of our house go from 3 to 6 months. Then they lied to the insurance about the amount of work they did, the time and supplies it took. I hope for every dollar they cheat lie, and steal from people. They loss two.

i have never had a company this good. They worked with the insurance company to get everything done. They used top quality materials, great contractors, and did roof, gutters and some interior painting. (We even hired the painters to do some more work for us.) Jonny got everything done from start to finish and was always available to answer any questions. Our neighbors recommended them and I am so glad they did.

Brad was very polite when I spoke with him on the phone and that made my husband and I feel comfortable enough to schedule the inspection. However after the inspection and next rainy weather (which was within 4 days of the inspection) we noticed a leak in the bathroom that was not there before. After going to the roof, in the rain, we noticed that the area had been cut and the shingles have been lifted. We know what it looked like before the leak because my husband cleaned the gutters not too long ago and walked and reviewed the roof( which is why we contacted them) We will not be hiring Rees Restoration now after this. Thank you but no thank you for damaging our roof. We have been in this house for over a year and had worst rain and weather and never have we experienced this leak.

Life Made Simple:
Dealing with insurance companies is almost always a nightmare. When I got Rees' contact information from a personal recommendation I didn't realize then how much they would take charge of interacting with the insurance company. Eric Voss explained the process clearly and when the adjustor came and agreed that there was damage but they would only replace less than half the roof, Eric went above and beyond and appealed the decision on my behalf. A few weeks later he told me my insurance company had decided that they will replace the whole roof after all. Without Eric and Rees I would have been out several thousands of dollars out of pocket. Communication with Eric was mainly through text and he would call or come over when it was convenient for me and was extremely nice and patient all the way. Once we decided on the shingles, the roof was replaced within 10 days at a minimal out of pocket cost. After the process was almost over I actually read the Reviews for Rees and they are all consistent with how patient and good these guys - if I had read the reviews before working with them I would have thought they were too good to be true - but after being the recipient of their service, I am excited to highly recommend Eric Voss and Rees to anyone who even mentions roof to me. A+ all the way for Eric. Oh, and the crew that installed the roof cleaned up very nicely, no evidence that they were even there except for the brand new roof, with a lifetime warranty to boot!!

This isn’t about their work, and more about their integrity. I live in the neighborhood that’s their company site sits on, and we’ve had multiple issues with the people who drive their trucks. the most recent was this morning i was pulling into my neighborhood and turning left and the driver was turning left out of the neighborhood who DID NOT have the right of way and i had to slam on my breaks with my infant son in the car. So if your drivers could represent your company in a better way than driving in front of people and speeding through our neighborhood, that’s would be appreciated by everyone

WONDERFUL! So unlike the 'fly by night' contractors that swoop in after a storm and don't do the job the right way. James Simon and Rees Restoration provided professional great looking results. Hassle free with great quality materials and results and what an amazing job at clean up. My roof looks so much better than before. I have recommended them to friends and I wouldn't have done so if I wasn't sure they'd be happy with the results too!

We hired Rees after a hail storm - in March 2021. The work on our property has yet to be finished. I have waited ample time with empty promises.

Some work happened quickly (roof), rest not so much. Still waiting on a window that they scratched to be replaced. Let me know if I’m wrong - but don’t think it takes two years to make a window.

Quality mediocre. Lights replaced in back only partially work. Gutters crooked. Roof leaking?

I would advise considering a different company. I would hire out the work elsewhere if I could get the remainder of the insurance money. They took the initial payment and now I can’t get the work done.

Rees sent someone quickly to repair my damaged front porch posts. The gentleman was timely, polite and worked efficiently. I will definitely be calling Rees for future needs!

Would not recommend this company. They came out and got the roof knocked out in a timely fashion. It was down hill from there, playing phone tag with the drywall guy for more than a month. Finally got frustrated and told them I did not want them to come back.

We have a small leak in our garage and Pete has come out twice now to help us figure out where the water is coming in. He sealed off a couple of different spots free of charge. We truly appreciate his help and kindness! He has been on time and to our house quickly both times I’ve called. Pete and Rees will be our first call for any additional roof or siding issues.

We had a house damage scare and contacted our insurance company. On Wednesday, an adjuster came out, along with Mr Rees. The adjuster immediately said "new roof and gutters", and Mr Rees said "tomorrow"! I thought we were in a commercial for a different company! The next day, the roofers were out, and when I arrived home from work ~4:15PM, the roof was completed. The gutter workers came the following Tuesday morning and were finished in just a few hours. The roof and gutters look amazing. Major kudos, to the workers/installers and Rees Restoration, for a job well done!

Terrible quality work. My aunt had a tree fall on a structure at her dog rescue, Rees was contracted to do the work and this is the end result! There is an end truss that is only on the band board about a 1/2 inch. Trusses don't even meet the gutter fasci, most methed up work I've seen. They were supposed to replace 2- 6x6, 3 trusses and a new metal roof. They did only the metal roof and some jackass carpentry that does nothing for the structure. The metal roof looks like it was cut by hand snips. When she contacted the owner about it, his response was how did you get my number and passed her to Brandon. I wouldn't use em to build a bird house if this is quality work to them.

For 1.5 years after getting a new roof/gutters installed, I have been dealing with leaks in my roof. I have been dealing with leaks in places that never leaked before. I have been overly patient, but enough is enough. I called again last night while it was raining as I sat inside my den watching water run down my wall from the roof. Since I called last night, I figured I would be a priority to receive a callback since I had an active leak, But I figured wrong. I still haven't been called, and if it works like the past leaks, I will have to keep calling them until I can finally get someone there to FIX MY BRAND NEW ROOF AGAIN! Other than leaks, I have had to have more than 4 bundles of shingles fixed due to damage caused by the installers. I have had to have flashing replaced when it was installed wrong, and or the wrong color. I had to have the ridge cap redone since they were also installed incorrectly. The owner extended my warranty from 2 years, to 5 but I'm not sure if it really matters if I have 1 problem after another. All in all, I'm just fed up with this company and I would NEVER recommend this company.

Thank you to Jesse McConnel of Rees Restoration for such quick response to three floors of water damage. Spoke with Jesse midmorning and received numerous commerial fans, dehumidfiers and heaters to dry out all the floors and prevent mold just after 12:00 pm. Very repectful and very quick to reply to my concerns. Also helping with the insurance claim. Damage in many areas, I feel secure with Rees and Jesse.

I recently had my roof, gutters, and ceiling repaired by Johnny Rees and his team at Rees Restorations. When it was 1am and water was leaking into my kitchen from the ceiling my heart sank - I couldn’t imagine the pain that was going to occur with insurance and finding someone to repair the damage. Rees Restoration made it PAIN FREE. Communicated clearly what was going to happen, dealt with insurance, let me pick roof and gutter color, and let me schedule when everything would take place. Would highly recommend!!

I had some roof damage from back in May from a storm. The insurance company gave me estimate for the repair for the roof. They were only going to pay for the localized damage. Eric Voss of Rees Restoration came and looked at the damage. Eric worked with my insurance company and explained that the whole roof needed to be replaced instead of localized repair of the damage to fix the roof in a correct manner. Eric got the insurance company to agree to pay for the entire roof. Long story short, Eric got me a new roof from the insurance company. All that I had to pay was my deductible. Go job Eric Voss of Rees Restoration!

They came at my house 7:30 in the morning And by 430 that evening They had my roof On And cleaning up their mess that they made What a great team Thank you Eric Voss and your team what a Beautiful job

When I went to sell my house, the inspector found roof damage. I was disappointed that my insurance company was not going to be able to cover the cost for a new roof, but the insurance adjuster connected me with Johnny Rees at Rees Restoration. I was relieved that they were able to get my new roof installed quickly and my only out of pocket expense was my deductible! I truly appreciate how quickly they were able to take care of replacing the roof to ensure that our closing date was able to remain unchanged! What was one of the biggest stressors turned into an easy process. Thank you Rees Restoration!

Cody Slavens represented Rees Restoration very well. He was very professional, assuring timely and quality service. He worked through a couple of delays diligently caused by errors from our insurance and by his gutter contractor. Only concerns were with Rees gutter contractor insufficiently cleaning up dozens of gutter screws many left in our driveway and around our pool. My only concern was with the unfinished work on damage to our air conditioning unit coil fins and and non-placement of “guards” on gutter openings (promised to block previous bird nesting problems). I would definitely use Rees again, understanding expectations should be limited to roofing and gutters.

Ree's Restoration were professional, responsive and provided great quality service to correct issues with roofing, chimney flashing and lap siding on our home. They also performed some other corrections to the home by filling gaps in our transitions from siding to the brick skirting with construction caulk, installing a handrail, repairing a pocket door, and rehanging doors that were not hung level. Pete Oaks was our project manager and was very diligent to keep us informed of when to expect the guys to be here working and they always turned up when Pete said they would. Very refreshing these days for a contractor to do what they said they would do, when they said they would do it! Pete also provided us with a written report detailing the work that was done which contained numerous photos of the deficiencies that were encountered and repaired. We highly recommend this company and Pete to work with on any home repairs.

Last year we had significant damage to our home caused by a hail storm. I contacted a list of contractors to assess the damage. Many contractors came and went with either outrageous prices or staff I felt weren’t competent to do the work correctly. I believe first impressions are important when determining which contractor is best for you and your home. I hesitated putting a new roof on my house due to a couple of bad experiences in the past.
I got in touch with Chris Clark being in the neighborhood talking to a neighbor and had him check my roof. Since day1 he was very professional, helpful, punctual, he explained everything to me and made me feel respected. I’m an elderly person and some people ignore that!

Pete Oakes responded to my enquiry to replace my gutters and apply gutter guards. He was friendly and easy to work with and provided a professional estimation of services. The crew that did the replacement did an excellent job and also cleaned up afterwards. I'm pleased that I was able to get the guttering in a light gray and that the provided guards are so fine grained. Excellent job and my interactions with Pete have ensured that, if I need future services of this nature, I will call Rees Restoration. Great company!

Pete was great to work with. Reese sub contracted my job and I was unable to communicate with the crew working on my roof. Pete contacted the sub contractors and we met the next morning to go over all my issues with the job. He stayed on task and made sure everything was taken care of to my satisfaction.

2018: The owner is extremely unprofessional and rude. Go with a different company.

2023 update: I feel the need to clarify my position. The owner Mr. Ree himself I presume once ordered indoor cameras from a local security company. He then insisted the indoor cameras be installed outdoors which I declined after explaining the indoor cameras weren’t rated for outdoor use (water proofing & didn’t have an internal heater for winter fogging).

He raised his voice and began berating me to swap the camera models after which I once again had to decline as the outdoor cameras were roughly 40% more expensive and I didn’t have the authorization to do so.

He approached me at this point and stood approximately 1 ft away and began screaming insults and obscenities and spit in my face. I promptly denied the installation and left the premises. As an Army veteran this really made my blood boil and took everything in my body not to react with extreme violence. I do not recommend this business to anyone, ever. Bad people do not deserve success.

-The tech you probably forgot about. I never forgot how you treated me that day though.
