Expert Roofing General Contractor

I called Expert Roofing General Contractors looking for some chimney trim and pipe vent boot repairs. Dale was able to meet me within 20-minutes of my call, had a quick discussion on possible solutions, and quick turn around time. Work was completed today. My wife and I are very happy. I would recommend and/or use for future repair work if needed.

Expert did a fantastic job , I gave them a call,they came out immediately . They gave me an estimate even though we didn't know how extensive the damage from the termites was going to be. They did a thorough inspection, They located even more damage in the crawl space. Even though there was an extension of contract ,which I totally understand .we were able to get everything taken care of pretty quickly they took care of my termite damage and some mold remediation. I want to thank Dale with expert for his honesty his integrity for not Overcharging me when they found even more damage . I would recommend expert to anyone for any of their contracting needs.
They will be building a new back porch on my home here soon .I'm looking forward to working with expert once again..

We hired Dale Urban of Expert to repair termite/water damage to my fathers home. The contract explicitly stated 3 walls would be repaired in addition to other things. However, not long after work began on the 3rd wall, Dale informed me we needed to pay him $10k in overages. I asked him to come to the house and bring an itemized list of the overages and the original contract. He refused to provide an itemized list and had changed 3 walls to 2 walls on his version of the contract. Fearing he would not complete the job, my 76yo father paid him the $10k. I filed a BBB complaint and contacted the AGs office. I learned that changing a contract and asking for more money is fraud under Indiana law. Only after I threatened to press charges did Dale offer to do more work. He refused to return any of the money. The new work was written down and had strict deadlines. He failed to meet all deadlines. After his contractor (Dale doesn't have a single employee and scours the city looking for people who will agree to do jobs for him) finished the extra work, the contractor asked for $4200 which dad also paid. The contractor insisted Dale would not pay him as he did "extra" work in order to do the job correctly. Dale has refused to return the $4200 as well. Dale did not pull a single permit for the job as prescribed by law. We will be suing Dale Urban and Expert. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the response Dale. I am now posting photos of the 2 contracts for everyone to see. As all can see, the first contract included the south (third) wall in the original price. It is this contract that Dale altered. Maybe Dale will be bold enough to to post a copy of his altered contract for everyone to see but somehow I doubt he will. After reading the first contract, it is easy to see that the second contract was an additional $10,000 for the exact same work included in the first contract. Dale altered his version of the contract by changing the number 3 to 2, then had my 76yo father sign another contract for the exact same work but for more money. Under Indiana law this is fraud. But the fraud doesn't stop there with Dale Urban. Looking at the contract I've posted everyone will notice that it says Angie's List in the top right hand corner with a thumbs up. I've contacted Angi and discovered Dale Urban and his company are NOT Angi approved and have been using the Angi logo fraudulently. The legal team at Angi has been in contact with me and has informed me they will be pursuing this matter. Dale, if you want to be fully transparent with you customers, post your fraudulently altered copy of the contract for the world to see and share with us the legal documents you are soon to receive from Angi for fraudulently claiming you are Angi certified. You are a liar, a cheat, a manipulator and you extorted $10,000 from a 76yo man who will die before he pays off the loan he had to get to hire you. And please inform everyone that Bill is not your foreman. You do not have a single employee but instead call everyone in Indy to see if they will come do a job for you. A homeowner can save thousands of dollars by calling these people themselves and not paying you a high price to bring these people in while you sit inside your truck and do nothing. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!!!!!!

Had quite a few shingles recently tore off by the high winds we have had over the last few months. After insurance inspection it was determined the whole roof needed to be replaced. Dale did a great job explaining all options and potential upgrades without trying to push us into it. Other contractors that came to provide a quote attempted to tack on many additional items that didn't have to nor need to be done and likely would have caused further headaches by needing to haggle with the insurance company. Dale's crew did a great job and completed all work in a single day (one story ~ 1600 sqft home). Highly recommend!

They repaired the leaking roof over the office area of my church, did some exterior painting, and repaired the wind damaged siding panels on the church as well. They did an excellent job, and I would use them again.

Added a covered patio to my backyard. Expert was responsive to communication, worked very hard, was respectful, polite, professional, and the quality of work is second to none, and priced right.

Expert roofing is so much more than just roofing. I had a roof leak that needed addressed as well as dry wall repair. Of course it was on a weekend. But Dale returned my call almost immediately after I left him the frantic message. He gave me information on how to help minimize the damage from the leak and he and his crew were out to fix things the next day. Courteous, kind, professional, very easy going, and just all around great people. I was very impressed with the quality of work and the time spent answering my questions and addressing my concerns. I would highly recommend Dale/Expert Roofing General Contractors for any kind of work you need around your home. I will definitely keep him on speed dial for any work being done on mine.

They do much more than just roofing. Where other companies didn't show up for our interior rework, Dale took his time to stop by and answer all of our questions. Then his crew showed up on time, was considerate of our schedule and noise volume, and cleaned up after each day they worked. They did not complain when we asked for minute changes though the process. They were everything we were looking for in contract work: reliable, considerate, and well, experts!

Updated Review: To reinforce Dale's commitment to his customers I would like to add the following. Post repair we had an issue with our shingles which was found during a home sale inspection.

Dale investigated the issue and found that the work was not to his standards and fixed the issue at his cost and was very apologetic for the issue.

Dale will get any future roofing needs from me.

Original Review: After a nasty storm pulled up shingles I needed to have someone fix them. Other contractors were only interested in full roof replacement with insurance work.

Dale came out gave a fair quote for just the repairs that were needed.

Within a few days he sent out one of his guys even though he had a large project going on and had the repairs done in about two hours.

I was recommended this company by two neighbors and I see why. If you're looking for an honest roofing contractor who won't b/s you Dale and his team are the way to go.

Dale and his crew did a great job repairing some shingles that blew off my roof. The wind took shingles on two different occasions within a week, and Dale was very prompt on getting the repairs done. Not only is he professional and prompt, but he is friendly and easy to work with. I highly recommend!

I just had my mini barn roof replaced by Expert General contractors and they did a great job. They cleaned up the yard and did not leave a scrap. The new roof looks great. Dale Urban was excellent to work with from the estimate to completion. Great job guys. An excellent company to do business with.
