We needed new shingles and gutters on our home in Danville. Of all the companies I contacted for a quote, Alex at Red Beard Roofing was by far the best at communicating during that process (with some I tried contacting not even responding). That continued throughout the project. He was always very fast to respond to questions and provided timely info when needed, even with a packed schedule due to recent storms tearing up roofs all around.

The new shingles and gutters look fantastic. You can tell the Red Beard Roofing crew put in the effort to make sure the final fit and finish look good and will do the job of keeping rain from getting where it shouldn't. The crew was always pleasant to interact with and made sure we were able to get in and out while they were working. After all the installation, their cleanup was great, too. From past experience, I expected to find roofing nails for years to come, but after many walk arounds looking for them, I doubt I'll find any.

Friendly staff and knowledgeable, they came out the same day I called to inspect my roof and gutters after a big storm. Within 48 hours I had my quote and they started the repairs. Good communication throughout the process and easy to work with!

Alex repaired a metal roof vent boot on the home of a client of mine in Cloverdale so that we could close the sale of their home on time. The repair was done correctly, affordably, and quickly. He communicated efficiently to schedule and conduct the repair in a timely manner.

Alex from Red Beard Roofing was Great! It seems like it has become hard, to impossible to get a contractor to do what they say they will do, or even return your calls, but Alex was super responsive and when I told him that we were ready to do the roof, he was on it within a week and got it finished amazingly fast. While there may have been someone roofers closer to Crawfordsville Indiana, distance didn't affect them at all. I would highly recommend them.

Two of our skylights started leaking late on Friday night- by Saturday morning I started calling the people who had put my new roof on 8 months earlier. They did not have anyone who could come & tarp the skylight area on a weekend. Plus we are at Raccoon Lake which makes it further from help. After calling many places - either not able or closed on the weekend, I finally got an affirmative from Red Beard roofing. Alex not only said he would come on Sunday- he called me back later to get me covered on Saturday in the rain with more rain coming! So appreciate that since it limited the damage inside. We needed emergency roof repairs after the storm that hit here in Coatesville Wednesday night ripped off roof shingles that caused a leak inside our home. Red Beard did my steel siding on my house, as well as soffits, fascia, and gutters. They did a FANTASTIC job, communicated very well, and cleaned the site daily before they left. Alex was fantastic to work with and was upfront and clear about any changes needed. When it's time to redo my roof, I will 100% go with Red Beard Roofing for that job too.

Our roof was about 22 years old. It was roofed with a fiberglass shingle. And they were starting to curl a bit. And they had lost a lot of the granular material into our gutters. We hired Red Beard Roofing to reroof our house. Alex contacted us and came out to look at the project and do some measuring for a quote. He was very courteous and professional. He told me a little about the shingles and ridge vent products he recommended and asked me to check them out on the internet. Alex uses Malarkey shingles which I found to be highly recommended by folks in the roofing business. We chose the Malarkey Vista AR, Class 4 shingles in the color “Heather”. He also recommended Omni Roll Ridge Vent. Again, if you YouTube this product, you’ll see why he recommends it. We waited till some of this unseasonably warm March weather to do the shingle/reshingle. Alex’s crew showed up bright and early one morning. They totally finished the job in one day. And they cleaned out my gutters while they were up there! The new roof looks great. They did a great job of clean up too. And here’s the best part, we just paid our home insurance in January for the year. And after I reported the new roof to my agency, we are getting about 40% of this year’s premium back due to installing Class 4 shingles! My experience with Red Beard Roofing was awesome. I recommend that if you need a roof, give him a call.

When we realized our summer home needed a new roof, we called around for estimates and got a few. Red Beard was the best value, and Alex was very transparent with the cost, what would be needed, and provided options at different price points. Once we locked in, they got to us very quickly and our new roof was on within days.

Alex did the roof and gutters on my house after a tree fell on it and insurance kept pushing me off and ignoring me. He was very responsive and helpful at getting my insurance to respond and to actually pay for all the damages. They were very fast and efficient at getting everything taken care of.

My property is located on the north side of Crawfordsville Indiana. In the Spring of 2024, a couple of moderately strong thunderstorms passed through. I suspected but was uncertain my roof may have sustained storm damage. I saw a Facebook roofing contractor post and arranged a meeting with Alex Buker, the owner of Red Beard Roofing. Using a very high lumen light, Alex performed a thorough inspection. Taking several photographs and making detailed notes, Alex documented everything he found. He not only found roof damage but also damage to a sky light and my rain gutters. He inspected two other buildings on my property and found the same. I contacted my homeowners insurance company and their adjuster did his due diligence with Alex by his side. Alex pointed out damage to the adjuster that otherwise would have been overlooked. Bottom line, in the Fall of 2024, Red Beard Roofing replaced not only my main dwelling roof, gutters and down spouts but the same on another building on my property and the roof on a third. After talking with Alex I learned he could install a stainless steel mesh on my gutters that prevents the accumulation of leaves and other debris. I had him install the gutter mesh cover and as a result I will no longer have need to clean my gutters. The crew that did the work on my property was very efficient and thorough. They found that a good portion of my nearly 60 year old plywood roof decking needed to be replaced. Because of Alex's thorough documentation, my insurance covered the cost. The extent of work took three days to complete. The crew was easy to work with and at the end of each day, they did a thorough clean-up. My house appearance is terrific. Apparently my neighbor liked what he saw and hired Alex Buker's Red Beard Roofing to replace his roof.

Great job…. Red Beard Roofing ( Alex Buker ) from Bainbridge, installed a new metal roof with snow bar, which a lot of installers don’t do. They also installed new gutters, and down spouts, and hooked them up to my drains. Also new gutter guards, Yahoo no more cleaning gutters, from the Maple Trees. Everything cleaned up superbly, I also liked the NO high pressure sales pitch. Alex Talked to me like a friend.

Alex and his very capable crew at Red Beard Roofing did an extraordinary job on our roof. We are located on Heritage Lake in Putnam County Indiana. We hired Alex to replace our aging roof, but it resulted in much more. He was careful to involved me in every decision concerning not on the deterioration of the shingles but the water damaged to the sheeting beneath the shingles. Additionally the refurbishing of our older home resulted in some "unique" roofing challenges. The fact that Alex had "never seen anything quite like it before" did not deter he and his crew from completing their promised task. It bears repeating that Alex walked me through each phase of the repairs and I made the final decision on the extent of the repair and the costs involved. The result was a beautiful job well done and a reasonable price by a dedicated roofing company. I enjoyed the honesty and integrity of Alex and his crew at Red Beard Roofing. I called Red Beard Roofing because I needed to have some gutters and snow bar installed. Alex Buker came out to my house in Roachdale very promptly to give me an estimate for the install. His price was much lower than the other two estimates I'd gotten, so we decided to proceed with Red Beard doing the job. Alex quickly had us scheduled for the install and oversaw the process. The work was done quickly in less than a day (snow bar on full house and the gutter/downspout install on about half the house, as requested). The workers were kind and patient and cleaned up after themselves. Alex was there at the start of work and again when the job was done to make sure that the work went off without a hitch. It's been about a week since install. There are no issues to this point, and we couldn't be more pleased. Alex is very personable and easy to talk to. He understands what he is doing and handled customer service very well. Highly recommend.

I needed new gutters as mine were original and in very poor shape. I wanted to stay local as I want our community to continue to grow. So, I made the call. I spoke with Alex and he personally came and looked it over (very prompt) I might add. He also applied a senior discount. I also needed fittings for my inground drains of which he made very sure this was taken care of. At the same time my neighbors were getting gutters as well. Mine look better if I don't say so myself!
All in all, I'm very pleased with the result. His men were very kind and cleaned every little thing up. And it took no time at all.

Alex Buker of Red Beard Roofing did 3 projects for me. 2 duplexes and 1 commercial roof. The duplexes included siding, roofs, garage doors and gutters.
