Rebuilding Together

We are Henderson residents who have something to say about Renuilding together. June 2025 our last bit of life ran out of our HVAC system. The very nightmare I have been worried about all last summer and the beginning of this year finally happened. We are retired living off a very small fixed income. For months I had been worried about how we could get through such a setback of this category while trying to save every nickel in the meantime. I had been doing a lot of research online trying to prepare for the inevitable. Found a lot of impressing looking websites, claiming support for just this kind of thing, and it was always the same thing, a recording asks for all your information promising help and if you did get a reply, it was companies looking for a sale. When I called Rebuilding together I was instantly impressed when a actual human voice came on the line asking how they could help. It was such a refreshing difference right away when I spoke with Evelyn that listened to my situation and said that's the kind of support they try to provide when ever they can.
On the same first phone call she got right to work explaining how their organization works and what they provide, and before I knew it she had set up an appointment for her and her associate, Dana,to come to my house for a hands on look to see if we could be a candidate for assistance? I couldn't believe what I was hearing. From that first meeting they took my info and said it would be reviewed to see if we could move forward, After a call or two and with the help from Ann they had everything they needed and scheduled an appointment for Bulldog A/C to come out and prepare a proposal. A day later their team came out and installed smoke detectors and painted my address on the curb. Then it seemed like a day or two later Shelby called and said Alan from Bulldogs proposal was accepted and set a date for installation for a brand new HVAC system. Needless to say I was almost in shock. When I was just about to give up and start looking at yard sales for window air conditioners all this came together in a matter of about two weeks! From our first meeting with Evelyn and Dana , I had a brand new HVAC system installed working like a dream in a few weeks time.

I was extremely fortunate to have Rebuilding Together assist in my roof repair (Ruiter Construction LLC). They were compassionate and professional and my home now feels safe and more secure. It's helped with the stress and I can now look forward. Blessed!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Dana and Ann were very caring, nice and helpful. For years my home has been in disrepair and I couldn't afford to fix any of it. I had a sink that flooded my kitchen ruining my floor, my carpet was ruined, both my bathrooms were ruined with mold, broken showers and toilets, and my sliding doors to the backyard could barely open. I wasn't expecting much help, but I was wrong, they completely renovated my home, they tore out my moldy kitchen floor and moldy carpet replacing it with new beautiful vinyl floor, the replaced my kitchen sink, the completely redid both my bathrooms with new showers, tubs, toilets and vanities. They also replaced my a/c unit. I am so grateful for them, all of this would not of been possible without Rebuilding Together. Thank you all so much, because of you my family has a better quality of life. For anyone that was in my situation, the help is out there you just have to look.
