The upstairs neighbor's unit bathroom had a leak that damaged my bathroom — which was remodeled just 3 years ago. It was frustrating navigating filing a claim against that unit, working with their insurance to get everyone paid, and overseeing the work needed, while I was working 50-60 hour weeks during my busy season. BUT J&J made it as easy as possible, they were patient with the insurance debacle, worked to get the tiles and countertop I wanted, and ensured that when I had to take meetings or phone calls, they accommodated my work schedule. It was a journey, but J&J made it as painless as possible.

After my upstairs shower leaked water onto the bottom of the house through the ceiling a lot had to be repaired the downstairs flooring parts of the ceiling and the whole upstairs bathroom needed to be redone everything was a mess but this company did such a great job from the minute they started to the very end super professional and really quick to get the job done and communication was outstanding as well if there was any issues or questions I got a response super fast I was def impressed overall Jose and his team were so great to work with I am beyond grateful I would definitely recommend to all my friends thank you all for an amazing job well done

i needed my kitchen put back together after a water leak had occurred. The water restoration company recommended J & J Contracting. So I gave them a call. They were able to come out to my house in a timely manner and look over the damage and get a bid together for the insurance company. Once I got the OK from insurance, the magic happened. They showed up, ON TIME for a handful of days, and put my kitchen back together. They were always courteous, friendly, and helpful. Answered any questions I had and explained what they were doing for the day. They kept a clean workspace and house always look pretty good when they left. I will be highly recommending these guys to family and friends in the future.

After a water leak decimated our upstairs master bathroom, J&J came to the rescue and helped us get the repair done right! They communicated well and walked us through the insurance claim process, which was difficult. They were on time, courteous and had excellent workmanship. Tremendous work to Josue and his team. I had a pipe burst in a central part of my home. It damaged a bathroom, part of the kitchen, and a large area of flooring. In addition to all that, my house was built in 1942 so there's issues that come with an old home. Hector did an amazing job with all the unforseen issues that came up but also with communication. He addressed problems fast and reliably. I will definitely use J&J and Hector for future projects.

I had a water leak in the garage that required part of the ceiling to be removed. Rodney came over to view the damages and prepare an estimate. He was very helpful in explaining the process thru the insurance. The crew arrived on time. They worked very efficiently and i was impressed by their attention to details. The repair is flawless and you cannot see where the sheetrock was replaced. They left the garage immaculate. I could not be more pleased with J&J and their crew.

The Supv. of the specialised work crews always kept me informed as to what was going to be done next, called me ahead of time to confirm the arrival time, came to my home each day of work to inspect what was done. He confirmed with me the next day’s schedule. The workers were very punctual and never cancelled or were no shows..

I rent townhomes in Henderson and we had water damage from the second floor into the bottom floor. I contacted J&J and they were there early the next morning with estimates after reviewing the situation. I signed the contract and they quickly started working. I was very impressed how the Project Manager, Josue handled the project. He was very knowledgeable about the process and the worker’s he brought over were experienced. The PM sent me daily updates and pictures to keep me informed. I was impressed with the results because the tenants were impressed because that’s my main concern. As a landlord I would certainly give any future business to J&J Contracting because they know their business!

We had plumbing issues that required a large amount of rebuild. I am disabled and my mother is over 80, it was overwhelming and frightening. But from the first day we spoke with Rodney, we felt our needs were a top priority and then Carlos and his team came in and reconstructed the damage and left us with a clean and safe home. They even finished early and due to my ADA needs, this was not easy. We had another local contractor rebuild our master bathroom and the unprofessional work they left was corrected by J and J. If you want a professionally done job and people who really care, try J and J. We won't ever use anybody else now.

Professional and friendly from start to finish. Hector, the project manager, communicated each step of the way. All of the trades did a great job on the repairs (tear out, drywall, painting, plumbing, cabinets, counters, and appliance install) and kept the areas very clean. I had another company come out for a quote before J&J that I just wasn’t comfortable with and I am so glad I went with J&J. From the first call, to coming out within the hour to assess the leak and work up a quote, to dealing with insurance - J&J handled the everything. I would highly recommend them.

We had a leak from our master bath down through to our living room ceiling. Unfortunately we had to have the downstairs ceiling re-drywalled and painted along with our master bath completely demo’d and redone. Luckily, everyone we dealt with at J and J was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. Our project manager was Hector and he was always just a phone call away if needed and very responsive. He explained the timeline and was always very upfront about that timeline, the costs, etc. Our demo/drywall guys were a father and son team (Juan Carlo I think was the sons name) and were extremely fast and did an amazing job. They had to completely gut the master bath and really kept the area as clean as possible during that phase (which I was concerned about). Plastic barriers were put up to really keep the dust contained and not disrupt our bedroom or closet. Contractor paper was used throughout the house which I really appreciated. Once that phase was over, our contractor was Mario who had the unfortunate task of rebuilding the entire bathroom (floors, shower, baseboards, walls, etc). He was here everyday on time and worked tirelessly to complete the job. Everything looks fantastic and the attention to detail he put in was impressive. He never took a lunch. He just worked ALL day…everyday. The job took awhile so you just have to come to terms with that and appreciate how how hard the job is if you want it done right. Overall, we are very happy with the final result and would definitely call J and J if we find ourselves in this type of situation again (hopefully not anytime soon). My dog sure misses seeing her best buddy Mario everyday.

This was a 5 month ordeal for me. Extremely stressful. Hector with J&J was lifesaver for me. He handled everything for me. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and simply an honest man. My mother’s house was in dire need of assistance. Due to the fact that it was an insurance claim I had my reservations as to the quality and overall experience was expecting to receive. When the project started I was contacted by the project manager, Hector, and immediately was presented with reassurance that we were going to be happy with the work. Given the fact that I live in California and the house is in Nevada, communication was key. Hector hit every milestone ahead of schedule and above my expectations. He never made me feel like he was selling me on the cheapest option with the highest margins, and instead spent time with me on FaceTime looking at counter top samples while I was back in LA. After completion of the project I went down for inspection and it exceeded my expectations. J&J were incredibly professional and incredibly forthcoming with where we were at and what to expect. As I told Hector when we met, a great contractor is one of the hardest resources to come by. I’ve had my fair share of horrible experiences and Insurance claim or a personal remodel, I’d rely on them each time.

J & J Contracting took care of my homeowner claim where I had water damage from our hot water heater. They repaired the drywall in the garage and in the bedroom closet, along with the hot water heater stand and painted and replaced baseboards. They also pulled out the carpet in the majority of the house and replaced the flooring with vinyl planks and did an amazing job! My house looks so pretty with the new flooring! All the different crews that came to the house to work were so pleasant and polite. I will definitely use J & J for any future renovations! Thank you Jason, Carlos & Brandon.

J and J Contracting is an unbelievable business. I have been a homeowner for over 40 years and in all that time I have never seen quality work like J&J provides. Replacing a ceiling, doing wallboard, flooring, baseboards, shelving, plumbing, patching and painting. When they work for me, I leave them alone because I know at the end that I'm gong to be more than satisfied with the result. Always on time, always pleasant and courteous (old fashioned please and thank you courteous), always keeping me informed of what the schedule is and what is going on. Willing to go above and beyond. My Project Manager, Carlos Franco, was amazing. Handled everything perfectly, had workmen shuffling in and out of here like a traffic manager. Everybody had the tools and materials they needed, no delays. Every workman cleaned up after their work like I've never seen in 40 years.

There was extensive water damage to my home while I was away and this company professionally and responsibly replaced tile floor, shower, dry wall in my absence. The communication with me and the insurance company was timely and thorough. I highly recommend this company!

Due to water leak by my front door, a small area of flooring was damaged by front door. Since insurance got involved, they said they had to replace all the flooring on the first floor. There was nothing wrong with the flooring that was not affected. Fine, they replaced it all. About 18 months after install, the tile started buckling. I called the company and they sent someone out to look at the issue. He took pics of the tile throughout and said he would get back to me after consulting with a supervisor. He did mention that it was out of warranty. But I explained that it was due to improper installation. He said again he would get back to me. I never heard back. I got stuck with thousands of dollars worth of damage when there was nothing wrong with existing flooring. I had sadly not looked up company reviews on Yelp. Buyer Beware!

J & J never completed the work. Now they are trying to charge for the entire project when it is only about halfway completed. The only part of the rebuild of my water damaged area that they performed work was the insulation, drywall, and a small amount of painting. Then they disappeared not to be heard from for months.

I left many messages on the phone of estimator Daniel Merritt. They were never returned and later found out he was no longer with the company. Later after leaving messages others contacted me, came over and inspected what work needed to be done and then they ended up not being with the company any longer too.

I still have upper cabinets on the wall that need to be removed and an extra-large countertop and other items left in my garage. J & J unplugged the new water softener and did not plug it back in.

I was then rushed into making a choice from a limited selection of office cabinets, however after looking at it I found it not very functional. My old cabinets had pull outs on every shelf, what J & J could provide did not have that option. My original office had desk areas with wood pull outs underneath the countertop for the computer keyboards. J & J could not provide me with any of these needed features.

I work 8 hours or more a day in my office at my computer if the keyboard is not at that slightly lower-level is doesn't work. The way my old office was set up was very well thought out everything was very functional I don't want to be forced to live with less and be charged twice for the same cabinets.

Did a very good job! Would have them come out again. Hard working and professional!! Manny did a fantastic job!!

J&J did a great job. My house almost completely flood and they got it back together as fast as they could. Hector is amazing to work with! Thank you for all you guys do!

Horrible customer service, no integrity as a whole, empty results and all about the insurance money!! I get it your in business to make money but customer service is important!! You definitely under delivered to us. Couple good people in your company actually one, but his hands were tied. Do not recommend!!

Brandon and his crew did an amazing job with our pack our and pack in. Very respectful of our family heirlooms. Some of our furniture was passed on to us by our grandparents. So some are very fragile. They moved them with gentle hands. Thank you Brandon and crew!!

J and J contracting is an unethical company that will turn any project you hire them for into a nightmare. Jason is an unbelievably rude, passive aggressive project manager that has no business in this industry.

My property had flooded through no fault of my own and half of the reimbursement was the responsibility of my HOA. Jason was aware of this scenario and was hired for a flood remediation job where I paid my portion upfront immediately.

Once the project was finished, Jason immediately started to impose a Lien on my property for the other half of payment. He knew that the payment was being payed out by my HOA and that I don’t have the money. I completely understand I am the responsible party and starting the process after 30 days of not receiving payment, but he threatened this immediately after completion on a holiday weekend. He knew they would not cut the check until the project was completed and that it takes some time to receive. Jason even had confirmation in writing that the payment will be issued. They did nothing but delay the project with poor initiative and an unnecessary permit that also delayed this project by months during the holidays.

Jason knew the hardship we were experiencing during this time and how hard this living situation was on our family, but he went out of his way to make this the worst experience possible with zero empathy.

J and J should lose their business license due to unethical practices and would not recommend them to my worst enemy.

J&J Contracting did a great job in fixing up my bathroom. Returned from a trip to find a leak under the sink and water everywhere. After another contractor did the dry out and getting insurance approval, J&J came in and fixed everything up and it looks great. Highly recommend. Thank you to Hector and his team - they got things done a lot faster than I thought it would take.

Had another issue with my ceiling due to a water leak with an old AC system. J&J crew came in and fixed my ceiling. They were very accommodating as there were some other issues with my new furnace that the crew pointed out and were willing to delay a couple of days so that HVAC tech could come in and do their fix. Would not have known of the issues if the crew didn’t point it out. Appreciate the honesty and for being flexible.
