Upsetting when you set up a rewards account online 1 month ago, AND HAVE POINTS ON IT, so you know you have it because planting season is coming up and projects are happing so you can keep track of items bought and earn rewards for it and you go in to use it and it’s not in the system to collect rewards and the account your phone number pulls up is an employee account that you do not use. Just lost all respect for how things are ran.

Staff are very helpful and welcoming. You can't walk through the store without someone offering assistance. The cahiers even go out of their way to do all they can for their customers. I'd much rather go here than Lowes or Home Depot!

I've lived close by since late 2023. I don't think I've bought anything except for some keys I've had made here because Walmart here doesn't offer that service and honestly finding an employee who could help if they did would be nearly impossible. However, I have been in and inquired about something before. I was considering painting my parking space lines and numbers until the HOA decided to do it. Randy's sells the cart thing and paint to do the job or they told me that renting one from them was also an option and what the prices were for renting.

Each time I have been here EVERYONE has been friendly and the person in the key department was helpful too. Especially the one time my wife and I tried to get a house key to her grandmother's house made but it was too old of a key and they recommended a lock smith.

It's nice to have somewhere close by that sells just about any tool I may need with knowledgeable, helpful and friendly associates!

I purchased a Stihl 800X backpack blower. All of the employees that waited on me were super and very helpful. The best part about this experience was, the next day I received a message from Randy H. letting me know that there was a promotion for the item I bought and that I had over charged due to the current promotion. Within 5 minutes they had credited my overpayment back to my card and apologized several times. This high degree of ethics, honesty, and customer service is not heard of much these days!!! Thank you and you now have a customer for life. I highly recommend this business!!!

I am always impressed with Randy’s Do It Best Hardware. As soon as you walk in the door, you are greeted by a friendly face willing to help you find whatever you may need. It’s great to have a hardware store nearby, so I don’t have to travel 20+ miles to buy from a big box store. Randy’s sells nearly everything!

We love Randy’s and feel so fortunate to have the shop close by. The staff is always friendly, always knowledgeable and able to help, and many times we find items at Randy’s that the bigger stores do not carry. Randy’s Hardware also has great hours. Another huge perk is that I can do Amazon returns using their UPS service!

Very unprofessional service from Shirley (the owners wife ) and male shift manager. Upon arriving in the back of the store for UPS drop off the two of them were standing back there. Shirley had a very foul attitude towards me as the customer and continued to argue with me about my label not being received by them via email for print off. I stated to her that it shows on my end that it went through three times but it’s no problem I can try again if she’d like. She sent me to the front of the store saying it was my phone and not their computer. I went to front and came back she then had me waiting again while she was busy showing the male manager on shift how to do something. I said can you check your email again please I have my baby in the car with my husband and it’s 100 degrees outside I really don’t want to keep them waiting any longer. She stated for me to just wait. Moments later checks again and says “ Oh you must have sent it again” I stated I did not that it must have just come threw on their end and she again argued it was not their computer or service. I just assumed she was having a bad day and ignored the poor mannerisms from her. Then while awaiting for her to print my label she took a phone call so I asked the manager beside her if he could hand me the label and tape so that I could finish dropping off my package since she was busy at the moment. He just looked at me but didn’t hand me anything. Finally when Shirley was ready she got the tape herself and wouldn’t allow me to touch it for some reason. She applied a piece of tape across the front on the box. The package was not sealed properly and I was confused why she was not allowing me to tape my package. When I finally was able to leave my package for UPS pickup she handed me a handwritten piece of paper and told me to take it to cashier. I did and the cashier stopped me telling me I owed them $2. I was baffled. I asked what for. The cashier stated she had no idea but that is what the note reads and called for the male manager. When he came up front he asked what the problem was. I stated I didn’t understand the $2 charge. He said it’s for the labor and tape. I said what labor!? And I asked if there was a sign anywhere stating they charged for labor and tape because neither him nor Shirley informed me of this charge. He stated “ No there isn’t but you still owe us $2.” I said that’s ridiculous while it may only be $2 I could’ve went next door to Dollar General and purchased a whole roll and properly sealed my package rather than applying a piece of tape not even holding everything shut, plus I would not had to deal with the poor customer service I received from them. He stated “ Well you pay $2 here or $2 there it’s still $2 and that’s what you owe” I was extremely disappointed in the lack of information
customers are made aware of this charge but even more disappointed in the very rude and unprofessional mannerisms the two had considered Shirley is the owners wife and the other the manger. I will not be returning to this place knowing they treat loyal customers in such a hateful tone.
Note: Advance across the road offers FREE taping services with excellent customer service and packaging! FREE

We've always gotten great service at Randy's but I had an exception experience recently. I've had a Benchmade knife for several years, but I broke the tip off the blade quite some time ago. In seeing the "knife of the week" videos that Christian shares on social media, I learned that Randy's was a Benchmade dealer so I took the knife into the Timberville store to get feedback on what could be done. To my surprise, Christian took care of sending the knife back to the company for repair. Although I also receiving shipping notifications from the carrier, Christian also contacted me directly to let me know when it was back. The knife is as good as new! Thanks so much for being a great locally owned retailer that focuses on providing outstanding customer service!

I was purchasing items with my employees and we were all racially profiled at this store. Employees followed us around the store and made insensitive remarks. We overheard employees say “pull up the surveillance videos” while we were paying at the front. The store has an overall unwelcoming and unsafe atmosphere for POC. Beware.

Randy"s is our first choice for getting items for new projects or parts to make a repair. Their staff is knowledgeable and helpful. We choose to come to Randy's before buying from the big box stores. We love their personal service and highly recommend them!

Friendly employees. I just wish Randy's sold electrical staples in a large box or jug. I go through a lot of electrical staples. They only had one little box of electrical staples on May 3, 2022. I bought it but I was disappointed.

I have used Randy's since it opened and I am constantly reminded of why I go there. It is about service. I can get hardware at many places but I can not get the service and help I desire from other places. I appreciate having a knowledgeable staff that can help me when I have questions. Thanks Randy and staff for your contribution to this area. You are appreciated.

Pricing questions
1. What is the average roof replacement cost for a residential home?
+-

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.

3. What factors affect the overall roof repair cost?
+-

Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.

4. What is the typical roof leak repair cost, and how is it calculated?

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
