Quality Inn Vernal near Dinosaur National Monument

this place is honestly such and old and crappy hotel .the room keys do not work i had to go down to the office about 6 times in a one weekend stay to get new keycards for my room absolutely one of the most annoying things ever i only got into my room about 2 times without and issue and without having to go to the front desk . it says it’s near the dinosaur national monument no it’s about 30 mins away from the hotel it’s no where near close and there are closer hotels to it than this such false advertisement. one of the worst hotels i’ve been to so far please don’t waste your money here and spend that little extra for something nicer than THIS . the sinks don’t work properly either its hot for cold and cold for hot and i actually BURNT myself not knowing that . they just let people do anything there to there were people literally fornicating in the pool AROUND ABOUT 4 LITTLE KIDS and they didn’t even bat and eye to it . absolute horrible hotel and js annoying.

No complaints, our room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the pool, while small, was nice after a long drive. The breakfast was well stocked with classic hotel foods, the highlight being the waffles. We only stayed one night so we could spend the day visiting the state and national parks. My kids, perhaps biased as it was their first time in a hotel, truly loved it saying, "The bed was sooo comfy" 9, "I liked the pool" 7, and merely "Yeeeaah!" 2.

This place is gross and needs to be shut down.
The entire place smells like mildew and is filthy.
Our room key card terminal didn’t work and we needed to get a new key each time we returned, the bathroom faucet leaks/runs, and the AC unit is essentially broken. It ran for a few minutes before shutting off each time. Additionally, it looked like the AC and other appliances had never been cleaned.
The pool area is a health and safety hazard. I don’t think anyone has cleaned the pool or hot tub ever and the pool area flooring is so slippery, multiple children slipped and fell several times even when walking.
Bed was comfy but that’s about it. Stay elsewhere until this place is gutted and redone.

Got the bridal suite! Very comfortable felt like home. 4.5 ☆ because the building itself needs some tlc. But it has a bar, a pool, and a teakhouse in it. No real need to leave while staying there.

We chose this hotel because it was reasonably priced and had four stars on TripAdvisor. Not sure how that is possible. The gentleman that checked us in was very pleasant and the lobby was clean. Downhill after that. The hallway and room smelled bad and were run down. There was pealing paint and the bedspread was stained. I used the phone to call the front desk to ask how to work the tv (which was about 32”) and the cradle was filthy. I have added pics. The ice machine on our floor was out of order as was one of the dryers in the laundry area. A sign that appeared to have been in place for quite awhile said the spa was “temporarily out of order.” When I looked back on reviews, I saw several reviews from last year saying it was down. It appears that no maintenance or upkeep is being done.

We had a great stay here! The lady at the desk helped us so much, especially when we found out the fridge in our room wasn't working, she helped us get a new room.
Loved the restaurant in the hotel, too!
Free breakfast was good.
My only real complaints are that the bathrooms in the rooms are too small and that the pool floor is really slippery, so be careful!

I always stay at quality inn when I go out of town. But I think their breakfast kinda sucks. I like that there is a bar and a restaurant in the hotel. Very cool.

Rooms are nice and large with bed, couch, desk and tv. The staff is all so friendly. Dogs are welcome. My unexpectedly long stay was very pleasant here. The walls can be a little thin, but that was only an issue once or twice with loud people in the halls in the middle of the night.

My vehicle broke down early Morning on a Sunday (2/23/25). The front desk staff was so helpful in taking care of me. They also assisted me in trying to find a rental car (which I ended up not needing) and then ultimately helped me find a mobile mechanic who was able to come out and fix my car. The service was was great and I am thankful for the help. Without their help, I would have been stranded in Vernal. Thank you!!!!

I stay here when the Marriott is price gouging. This Quality Inn does have a great, friendly staff, complimentary coffee/tea/hot chocolate in the lobby, a pretty good breakfast, good steak house, pool/hot tub, and one of the very few bars in town. Even though the rooms could be updated, they are definitely worth the money. I highly recommend The Quality Inn.

I really wanted to like this place but I just kept seeing stuff I wouldn’t unsee. The lady we checked in with was very nice had great customer service. It started first with our door not working, she tried to fix it for over 30 minutes and then decided it was best to change rooms. The room had mold in the heater/ac box (seen this in 2 rooms). The toilet was uneven. And the pool is very gross and dirty. Customer service the next day was not great there was different girls at the front. At least 3 of them standing/sitting there none of them made eye contact with me until over 10 seconds went by and I said excuse me can I get some help. Beds were comfortable though. Breakfast they have waffles, cereal, all good basic stuff can’t complain when it’s free. Muffins were gross though. If you stay in the hotel make sure to book a reservation for the restaurant that’s in the hotel. No one told us to make a reservation and we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. I didn’t realize it would be that busy.

I have stayed here many times over the last few years. Breakfast could be better. Front desk is always polite. There is a Maverik fuel station next door. Also, a restaurant in the hotel. The regular rooms are okay. What you would expect. I highly recommend the room with the fireplace. Room 326. Sooo nice and comfortable!

When in Vernal, don't waste your money. Stay here. Not the greatest rooms but still better then the more expensive options.

Booked a room here but the booking site has the wrong dates from what I put in. Didn’t realize this until after I paid. Immediately called the hotel. Tried to have the dates changed. Absolutely would not help. Would not respond to email request. I would NEVER recommend a hotel that has this lack of customer service.

This used to be one of my favorites but I was then asked not to hang out there and with that being said I have my reasoning I had a piece of crap phone that didn't get service and I could always go and sit there for a bit and catch up until one day a dude came up and told me to leave.... I called and complained I have not been back I couldn't believe it but it's all good

Worst place to stay! BED BUGS! Got up and started itching and painful red bumps, went to front and spoke with Roger and he was absolutely unconcerned and didn’t care (was not asking for a refund just letting them know) then went out to unload luggage and noticed same thing on granddaughter’s legs. Roger was horribly rude and ignorant and pretty much told us we were lying but you could tell the bites were not old bites definitely new bites.

There is plenty of well lit parking. My room was very comfortable and spacious and there was plenty of hot water. |My only complaint is the housekeeping- They decided to ignore my do not disturb sign and knock on my door at 9am with check out being at 11am... I have to wonder why? Otherwise a really great place. Especially if you are planning on checking out by 9am and don't care if they wake you up.

Got this room just for a shower as we were camping somewhere with no showers. The water came out brown from the shower, ran it for a bit and it finally ran clear. Didn’t sleep at the hotel but planned on coming back in the morning to shower prior to check out. The housekeeper started tearing apart the entire room before checkout time because she “assumed we were gone”. She took the shower curtain and our towels and tore apart the bedding. The pillows looked stained and disgusting.

In the middle of giving my daughter a shower the water goes to a trickle, after chasing down maintenance we find out there’s a pipe break and water will be out for at least half an hour. This was an hour before check out.

The pool looked gross, the pool deck is a hazard it’s so slippery. After attempting to get a refund of at least $50, I was only offered $19.62 from the manager. I paid $151.00 for the night.

On a separate note, the pillows in the rooms aren’t normal pillows, they are small squares. My walls were dirty, the bathtub looked dirty when I first walked in, the carpets need replaced they’re buckling up everywhere, the walls in the hallways have bulges in them..you can tell this hotel does not take pride in making sure it’s a nice building…overall I would not stay here again.

You’re better off spending your money at a different hotel.

For the price it's not bad. When someone starts a review like that you can just feel it though. The rooms are not terribly clean. They are cleaned but they are not CLEAN. The hotel is very reminiscent of a property that use to be great. The interior is dated and dilapidated. The pool area looks like it use to have lots of great memory's but those are behind it now. The breakfast was well stocked and clean. Staff was nice and helpful. The property just really needs an injection of money updating and TLC. It has great potential.

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at, and easily my worst Quality Inn experience. The hallways and elevator were filled with a moist, suspicious smell. The ground-floor men's restroom had a tank with a cover that was too small for it. One of leather seats outside the steakhouse was ripped apart and poorly patched with duct tape. The continental breakfast was closed early both days that I visited; there were mass moments of time where no one was manning the front desk to give or accept room keys.

My own room had a "beautiful" view of a loading/unloading station and a torn and broken screen that meant I couldn't open the window without being swarmed by insects. The in-room AC was filthy caked with dust. The door didn't have a rubber bottom which let light and noise filter in from the hallway outside. At least the bathroom was clean.

If you were in town for Dinosaur, like I was, pick literally anywhere else.

The lobby of this hotel immediately impressed us with the beautiful fire place and chandeliers. The rooms were clean and quiet, and the pool area was well cared for. It was a perfect place to stay on our Vernal trip.

Yes, this place is showing its age, but my room was very clean and well-appointed and as updated as possible. I will say, the towels were TERRIBLE - way past their expiration. And breakfast was not great - nothing hot except waffles which you would have to stand in line to fix. It was nice to have a restaurant and bar downstairs.

Dingy, dirty and in poor repair. Stains on the bedsheets, toilet won’t flush, slamming doors with broken stoppers, No water pressure, the AC unit rattles and sounds like a broken jet engine. Not nearly enough insulation in the walls— I could hear everybody and everything. Violent overpriced for the quality. Stay somewhere else!

Spent 4 nights here while visitng the area. Room was large and clean with comfortable bed. Good restaurant. Breakfast was pretty good if you like carbs. They had frozen burritos and sausage, egg and cheese biscuits that you microwave(these should be avoided). There were several cafes and restaurants for breakfast nearby. Internet was OK- a little slow at times. The desk chair was broken but we didn't spend much time there. I told them about it but it was never changed out.

Overall, I was disappointed with the service and experience at this hotel. I stayed there with my sister in May and while we had a good time, there were several things lacking in the experience. The back door entrance was never locked (or opened with only a key card) although it was supposed to be secure. The overall feeling was not very safe or clean, and the hallways were not well lit. We were there for three days and the wifi only worked well for one day. Definitely not worth the money. But more than that, the service after the stay was negative. I left a bathing suit in the room and called immediately after checking out to see about getting it back. The associate could find “no record of my stay” and advised me to call back some other time. The following two times I called I was left on hold until the call dropped, even after requesting to speak to a manager. I am now out a bathing suit and overall feel let down by the service. Needless to say, if I am in Vernal again I will be staying elsewhere.

I could never recommend this hotel to anyone we will never stay here again. The pool looked dirty and there were kids in the hot tub so we the adults could not even use it. The kids in the hot tub were splashing water and diving in it. The TV room had no cable at all, we could not use the TV during our one night stay. The blinds are not long enough so you have light filtering through the bottom early in the morning. The sink faucet only had warm water the cold water was not working. The pillows are square small pillows instead of rectangular so not much pillow to place your head in. We stayed in room 213 to avoid the noises of the first floor but it was pointless because we were able to hear the people at the top walking. So we woke up at 6:30 am because that is when they woke up the following morning. There was not recreation here for our family.

Nice room. Inconvenient having to go through the side door in a storm though. Clerk was nice but he cancelled our reservation right before we got there. We were late due to weather but choice hotels states it will hold your reservation until 6 a.m. the following morning. We were there around 1 a.m. No complaints otherwise.
