My experience with Precise Exteriors was a 10/10! Following an on site inspection, my questions were answered and I promptly received an estimate. After scheduling job, they provided well-timed communications regarding work to be performed, arrival time and all pertinent info.. The work crew was punctual, efficient and very knowledgeable. Precision Exterior was recommended by a neighbor. Ended up a good decision and will recommend to use them again. Excellent quality at a good price. Precision Exterior stayed within agreed price. DJ and Jared stayed in contact throughout construction on arrival dates and times. Took photos and discussed details of anything out of the ordinary. Job was pretty good size. Complete tear-off of old shingle system. Looked at shingle and metal roof options with DJ. Went with metal roof system with 1-1/2” insulation under it. Work also included adding sky lights, reworking soffit and facia and even had them put in a new patio door and some large double hung windows. Made a big difference. Very satisfied.

Over the summer my mother (Debra) lost a husband and I a step-father. Shortly after he had passed my mother had noticed that her roof had begun to leak and that it needed to be repaired before winter came. A family friend had told us about Precise Exteriors and the work that they do so we decided to give them a shot.

After being denied through her insurance company my mother had contacted the county for finance options since she couldn't afford the roof straight out. A deffered loan through the county was pretty much our only option. Everything seemed to be falling into place. Troy from Precise exteriors and the workers came out and repaired the roof in no time.

When it came time to pay the bill the finance option fell through. My mother and I were working with Doug, the owner of the company to try to find a solution. Payment plans were brought up and leins were discussed. Keeping in mind that after my step-dad's passing my mother's financial situation was not the best Precise Exteriors decided to make a gift of the roof to my mother.

This was something that they didn't have to do but chose to out of the goodness of their hearts. It was nothing short of the best Christmas Gift my mother has ever gotten.

It has been a pleasure working with this company. They were always very professional and the communication could not have been better. Even if this situation wouldn't have happened I would recommend them to anyone and everyone looking for this type of work.

Troy, the sales manager stopped by the next day and gave us options for the roof repair that was needed. DJ brought his crew out and fixed the roof quickly and cleaned everything up afterwards. Precise Exteriors was a dream to work with!

I don't often leave commentary for places I have done business with, but whenever something is truly exceptional (good or bad) I feel it's always worthy of a review. In this case, a rave review.

We were referred to Precise Exteriors for roof and skylight replacement and worked with DJ.

DJ is a great communicator. He's personable, non-judgmental and walks you through any aspect of the process that you find hard or confusing and helps explain it all to you in a patient and less complicated way until you understand.

I especially found this helpful because we were working with our insurance on the cost of roof and as with anything, there is a process and varying deadlines and it was all just very confusing to me. DJ helped explain everything and walked me through every step, oftentimes more than once.

DJ kept in contact with us on any changing factors like weather and he also shared a cool picture tool as part of the process so you can see a timeline of the work being done for the day. I really liked this as we had him at our rental property and I couldn't be there in person to see the work in real time.

On top of all this, I want to say our property is in St. Paul and is over 100 years old which means that house is very high and very narrow and is very close to our neighbors. This was an extremely difficult job for DJ and his crew but never did I hear 'we may not be able to do this, or do that'. Ever. DJ didn't have changing prices, changing timelines, or anything that caused us stress about the situation.

I say it was like a dream because it really felt like it. He told us a price, that was the price, he worked with our insurance company and spoke that language so we didn't have to, and he was reliable and the work turned out fantastic and looks amazing.

More than a year ago, my husband posted a five star review for the work that Doug, DJ, and their team did on the roof of our house and the exceptional customer service they provided - and we remain happy customers. I am circling back to provide a second five star review on the excellent work they did on the Hopkins Schoolhouse in Hugo, MN - and the incredible generosity they have shown to our community in preserving our local history. For those of you who are not familiar with this building, it stood vacant for many years and had deteriorated to the point that the City was planning to tear it down. A group of local volunteers stepped up to lead the efforts to restore the building and transform it into a heritage center for the community - and Doug and DJ stepped up to help make that possible through donations of time, talent, and labor. The crews from Precise Exteriors removed several layers of shingles on the nearly 100 year old building and replaced the entire roof. I can't say enough good things about this team, the work they perform, and their contributions to the community. It feels great to do business with people who care so much and deliver such high quality work.

This is the second project we had Precise Exteriors do for us. The first one was replace our siding. It was so good working with Doug and how he responded with every question we asked and really put effort in to pleasing the customer. I contacted 4 different roofing companies after a hail storm and Precise Exteriors was the first to call me back and the first to show up and inspect my roof. I still had the other 3 companies come and inspect and quote my roof but DJ & Doug’s operation was far superior compared to the other companies. They were punctual and had excellent communication throughout the entire process. If you are looking for a locally owned family business that actually cares about you and your home then these guys are your best choice.

I wish I could give Precise Exteriors 10 stars. We called them after a hailstorm caused damage to our roof, gutters, and siding. They advocated for us in the insurance claims process to ensure we received everything we were entitled to and put in extra time on several occasions to make sure we understood our options and explain exactly what we were paying for. When their roofing team uncovered preexisting damage under our shingles, they went above and beyond to cure the issue, working with our local building inspector and insurer to avoid what could have been a huge out of pocket cost. My home was damaged from a hail storm in May. Precise Exteriors provided excellent guidance for not only replacement, but for updating the exterior look of my home.I also had new gutters installed. Because of the difficulties to find the right color, they persisted and were able to complete the job in a timely way. It was a relief to have custom patching of the soffit done by the talented craftsman. I would recommend this company to anyone.

These guys went above and beyond. Everything was done timely and looks beautiful. I wanted a rain barrel and they installed pavers for it to sit on and had the gutter cut to fit above the rain barrel. I can't say enough about our experience with Precise Exteriors. Doug, DJ and their team are top notch and great about communicating the entire process. We initially started out contacting them for a window install and while Doug was out doing the review of our windows he pointed out storm damage we had to our garage shingles. Doug and DJ walked us through the entire process of filing an insurance claim step by step and stayed in contact with our adjuster as well for an all around smooth process. The install crew for the shingles also did a great job. They were fast and professional and made sure everything was cleaned up once the job was finished. The subcontractors hired by Precise Exteriors performed their work on a timely and professional basis. Any issues, which are common on a project of this size, were resolved quickly and satisfactorily. We were able to remain in our home while the work was being done even though almost every window had to be replaced. Everything, both inside and out, was cleaned up on a daily basis. We were very pleased with everything and would be happy to work with Doug and Precise Exteriors in the future should the need arise.
