Nick was exceptionally professional. He arrived right on time and was very knowledgable about the process. He recommended the best course of action given the ice build up on my home. In addition, Nick also worked with me to ensure he was doing as much as he could in the limited time he had since I'm on a well and the water supply his equipment needed is finite.

I am posting on behalf of a woman I care for who had a leak and we got ahold of Jay at the ice dam guys. Jay informed me they were out of MN but had people here in MI to work. He sent out Ryan on Saturday morning and my lady here said “He’s working his ass off!”
He did great. Ryan was here right on time and took zero breaks. We have no leaks now and we are thrilled! Thanks so much!! Ryan was fantastic!

As a few others have stated, I was hesitant to call a company based out of MN when I live hundreds of miles away (ME), but I am so glad that I did. This winter has been the coldest in years and left me with ice dams along the backside of my house that I was unprepared for.

I did not have water coming into the inside of my house but after checking on it after another cold week I saw that there were indeed leaks that were coming down the outer walls and popping out the siding. I knew it was time to call a professional before things got worse, especially as there was a lot of ice near all of my utility wires and boxes. A quick Google search brought me to the Ice Dam Guys.

When they say same day or next day, they mean it. I called on a Sunday morning and by 1:30 in the afternoon Nick M. was at my house, ready to work. He was a delight in every way. We discussed what areas I was most concerned about as well as my budget. Nick was able to come in under it.

I cannot thank Nick and the Ice Dam Guys enough for being so awesome! The work was top notch, performed with a smile and under budget, not to mention ACTUALLY coming same day. I now have the peace of mind to get some sound sleep again and not worry about what water damage might be happening in my roof and walls. If you have an Ice Dam you need removed, these are the guys you want!

Nick Moran came out and removed ice dams on two roofs this morning. He was courteous and very helpful. He did the job very well and Quickly. I would definitely recommend Nick.

Major ice dams all along our roofline. I called Ice Dam Guys in Minnesota and they had Nick Moran out at my house in Maine in about an hour. Calls to three other places went unresponded to. Nick worked from mid-Saturday afternoon until about 9 p.m. - well after dark - up on a high roof - and got our house out of danger. It's not cheap, but these guys know their stuff and get it done.

I can't say enough about how happy I am with Ice Dam Guys! Jay called me not even a day after I called for help with huge ice dams and tons of snow on my home after we were hit with the worst snow storms since 2018. Water was pouring into our house at one point and it was a nightmare trying to keep the mess from ruining our carpets and subflooring. (Water was pouring from the kitchen cabinets) Not even an hour after I talked to Jay, our savior, Nathan was at our house ready to work. He worked steady for 4 hours straight with no break and saved our house from leaking, and our porch, which I'm sure was getting close to caving in. (We couldn't even close the doors because of the door frames shifting from the weight) Thank you, Jay and Nathan for being so kind, and taking such good care of us. I wish I could give you a hundred stars!

Despite regular roof raking, we had a number of large ice barriers build up this month on our roof in coastal Maine. I had never in 40 years hired anyone to remove, yet along steam off, ice dams--but the company was very responsive, and Peter Carrow (the technician) was hard working and very diligent. Even worked through lunch. Highly recommended.

Nick Moran was way up on our roof for hours and did a great job. He talked specifics beforehand about expected timing, and we've got the only clear north-facing roof in the neighborhood now.

Nick Moran came to our house in Maine. I was amazed how he got rid of our ice dams in the front and back. I would not hesitate to call again with any ice dam problems, they are the professionals.

I'm in Maine and called over the holiday weekend; they called me right back and after I confirmed we had no active leaks they were able to schedule mitigation within a couple of days. Nick showed up promptly on time. He was extremely professional, helpful and efficient. He clearly communicated where he believed his expertise was best used, was conscious of the time it would take, and checked back in as he neared the agreed upon time to ensure he met our expectations.

We are very happy with the service provided by Ice Dam Guys, and specifically with our technician Nick Moran. We left a message with IDG and received a call back within the hour, and they scheduled service the next day. Nick said he'd arrive between 1 and 4, and that he'd call when he knew exactly when. He called earlier in the day to say he'd come at 3, and he arrived at 3 on the dot. He got immediately to work with a real spring in his step. This service is not inexpensive, and they charge by the hour, so seeing Nick work thoroughly but efficiently was much appreciated! He wasted no time in set up, zipped right along our roof edge to clear the ice dam, addressed all problem areas, and packed up quickly, solving our problem in just over two hours.

We religiously rake our roof to avoid ice dams, but this winter has been the perfect storm of cold and snow and it got the better of us. We were a little nervous calling a company from MN as we are in Maine, but honestly, these guys know what's what and they run a tight ship. Nick didn't make us feel dumb and he was so polite! All in all, a good experience.

Nick Moran arrived as scheduled and assessed the condition of our house and garage roof ice and snow. After snapping a few pictures of the "before" condition, he got right to work steaming away our worries about ice damage before it had a chance to occur. So thankful to Ice Dam Guys for their prompt and courteous service. Now we can sleep at night knowing the ice is gone and the gutters are clear!

I called ICE Dam Guys on Sunday and spoke to Andy and at 10 o’clock from three hours away Nick arrived and alleviated our ice dam stopping the leak that was coming into our house and making our home safe again.
We live in Killington Vermont and I’m sure I’m going to need to call them again. We highly recommend Ice Dam Guys!!!

I hired the Ice Dam Guys to remove snow from my roof and clear huge ice dams from my box gutters. I called them on a Sunday morning and the manager of the company called me right back with an appointment for later that day. I was extremely impressed that, although they are based in Minnesota and I am in southern Ohio, they had their own employees, not subcontractors, on the job. They kept in contact with me as they did their work to explain what they were finding and what they recommended. To be clear, this is an expensive service. But, when compared with the cost and inconvenience of repairing a water damaged kitchen ceiling (which is what happened the last time we had a storm like this that caused ice dams), it was a bargain. I highly recommend them.

Very pleased with the entire process. Ice Dam Guys support staff coordinated everything well. Located in IL, but Paul (the technician) made the trip from MN the next day. He explained in detail as he went along - and we were able to discuss on what roof areas were more critical than others for thawing, so as to be efficient with his time. Paul did a great job. For us, we believe this was money well spent, to avoid a potential much bigger problem and expense.

I had ice dams on my north side that were very large and worrying—first time I’d ever had such significant dams (freak winter storm followed by melt and freeze) and I was very concerned about expensive damage if they weren’t cleared on a timely basis (I was “high and dry”with no damage and wanted to ensure it stayed that way). We had more freezing rain in the forecast followed by more extremely cold weather.
The Ice Dam Guys fit me in promptly and Taylor from the Ice Dam Guys was on time and on schedule getting the job done. Taylor was very professional, friendly and, oh my gosh, did he work hard that day clearing the dams! No concerns about inside mess and huge relief getting them cleared! I had my ice dams removed by Taylor last winter. He did a great job. The steam method is long and tedious, but he took his time and got very large chunks of ice off the roof and made sure they were not on my sidewalk I would use them again. They are expensive, but worth it

I have nothing but good things to say about the Ice Dam Guys! This winter saw development of some of the worst ice dams I have ever seen. I called some local companies, I was not impressed with their responses or price quotes. I called the Ice Dam Guys and they listened and had straight answers to my questions. I was shocked when they said they would be to my home the next day!! Jeremiah, the technician showed up on time and did an amazing job of removing the ice dams. When he was finishing up, he asked me to review his work to make sure I was satisfied. I asked him to remove some additional snow further up the roof, which he happily did. I highly recommend the Ice Dam Guys!

Ice Dam Guys does an excellent job of removing ice dams! This winter was harder than normal and had dams along gutter line. I called on Friday afternoon and they had someone lined out to come out first thing on Sat. morning. Anthony showed up on time, he texted me to let me know his ETA for arrival, after looking the situation over, provided time line in which he'd have job done. Overall, he did an excellent job and completed it within said expected timeline. I used Ice Dam Guys in the past and will use them again in the future if needed!

We had not one, not two, but THREE ice dams wreaking havoc between January and February 2023 at two locations in the metro area. I worked with Jay, who patiently fielded my numerous calls to schedule the removal of the dams. Jay was patient with my questions and extremely responsive with return calls. Hart and Ryan were the contractors who removed the dams between January and February 2023. Both of these guys are top notch. They are professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. I am a fan and would recommend this company any time.

The Ice Dam Guys were quick to respond to help resolve an ice dam on my roof in late March 2023. The technician, Deymon, consulted with me throughout the process and explained what he was going to do and what would happen. As the minimum 2 hour timeframe was approaching, Deymon explained what he had been able to accomplish and that he felt the remainder would easily melt on its own. Fantastic! Loved the honesty and not trying to upsell me for more time. Deymon was very friendly and helpful - would absolutely recommend Ice Dam Guys.

Ice Dam Guys really saved us last winter. This winter was the first time our house had ever developed ice dams, and we were incredibly anxious about it. Ice Dam Guys and our technician, Johnny, really put us at ease. They were prompt, professional, courteous, and took care of our ice dam problem same day. This past year, with all the snow I need this service twice. Both times it was like magic the ice dam disappeared. I called and the response was that day, no waiting weeks for their service. The second time I needed their service now, as I had a leak inside the home. They saved me expensive repairs.
I have to mention the fellow that serviced our roof. He was from Texas. Who would come to MN in the winter to climb on roofs? He really seemed to enjoy the work. He worked hard and made sure all the ice was removed.

We had such bad ice dams this winter that there was water dripping into our master bedroom window area… I reached out to the Ice Dam guys. They were out within 2 hours. Our tech Colby was awesome… he stayed until 10 pm on a Friday night to get the whole roof done. He was great to work with. It wasn’t cheap but we expected that… and the experience from the first call to the office til Colby showed up and stayed til the job was done was a lifesaver… I’m hoping it was just a bad winter but if we get ice dams again the Ice Dam Guys will be my first call! We were concerned about the safest way of removing without damage to the roof and this is the best way to not damage the roof! We had a great experience. The service cost was at a premium level, but they responded to our inquiry immediately and had our technician, Johnny, on the job in less than 2 hours. Johnny was extremely professional, courteous, and very thorough. He kept us appraised of his progress throughout the job!

This winter we had an ice dam develop and it created a leak in our ceiling. I emailed the Ice Dam Guys very early that morning and got a call within a couple of hours to schedule work for that day. Bryce came out and took the time to explain what he would do which was very reassuring and helpful to understand. He completed all the areas that we needed including one steep, tricky area without any problems. I hope we never have the leaking ceiling thing again but if we do, I'll be reaching out to this company without hesitation. A belated "Thanks!" to the team at Ice Dam Guys.

2023 was the winter of ice dams and we were not missed. My hatchet was no match for the 8 inches of ice on our roof and gutters and the leaky ceiling that followed. Luckily Taylor from Ice Dam guys came out within 24 hours of our call and in the dark, made it all go away. Its a dangerous job and we could not be more appreciative of the prompt and professional manner he came to the rescue. Hopefully it will not be a repeat issue. But if it is, we will call these guys. Also, the other service providers we called knew they had us cornered and quoted approximately double to come at a later date. Thank you!

Our Technician Jason H did a Fantastic job at removing our ice damns. We had a conversation about the areas we wanted concentrated on and a time frame we wanted to stick with and he did exactly what we asked for and more. He was very professional and friendly. He got to work straight away and contacted me with any concerns he had while on the roof keeping me informed the whole time. He worked diligently to get the job done. It was immediately obvious that he was very good at his job and was very careful and respectful of our home. I would 100% recommend ice damn guys for any of your snow/ice removal needs!

The Ice Dam Guys were very responsive. After leaving a message, I received a call back within 10 minutes on a Sunday evening. I was able to be on the schedule for the next day. We had 2 leaks in our house in Hayward, WI so we called the Ice Dam Guys in Duluth, MN. We received a prompt phone call and we were scheduled for service the next day at 0800 Sunday morning. Jason H arrived before the appointment and worked for 7 hours removing snow and ice from our roof. He was polite, a very hard worker and we were pleased with the results.

We had an ice dam issue in WI and water was leaking into our home. I called a couple places but the Ice Dam Guys were the only one that was responsive and provided a quick turn around. I detected a leak in our house and called Ice Dam Guys. They had an available appointment that very night. The guy came out and removed ice until after dark! I have a 2-story house and we have snow banks that are 7 feet high and snow that is 5 feet around the house. That didn't stop him from setting up a ladder and getting right to work on my roof. He was also careful to avoid damaging my solar panels. These guys know their stuff.

Taylor was prompt, managed my expectations of how much time it would take after seeing our ice dams, communicated through the process and made sure I was satisified before he wrapped up for the day. Such a relief to have the ice gone!

Had an excellent experience with the Ice Dam Guys yesterday. Called first thing in the morning to fix our ice dams. Someone was at our house within an hour and a half of my call! Jacob was professional and super knowledgeable about what needed to be done/why. Worked hard to fix our issues and continued to check in on his progress with pictures and what we were comfortable with on timing/prices as we approached the 3hr mark and beyond. The technician Zach D was punctual, courteous and helpful to make sure I informed of the plan, progress and perfect outcome. If I ever have issues in the future I know exactly who to call.

I called a few places when my kitchen wall and ceiling started dripping water due to ice dams lifting up my shingles and melting into my house. Ice Dam Guys called back within an hour of me calling, and within the hour after that, technician Rawetts was at my house setting up and getting to work on the ice. He was super professional, responsive, taking and sending photos of the original and in-progress areas while working, keeping me updated with what was going on the whole time. It was an emergency and Ice Dam Guys and Rawetts responded perfectly. Could not be happier with my service. He also swept up all the twigs and ice chunks off the walkways that were ejected from the cleaning process.

I am not sure I have ever seen a man work as hard as Jake! He was at the house for two very long and VERY cold days in late January. He never gave up, and walked around our icy roof with confidence and great skill. Expensive but Impressive!

I have a large roof with many peaks and valleys. With all the snow this season ice dams began to appear. Ice Dam Guys had their technical Chris out the next day, and he worked ten hours a day for two days. Hard worker and very thorough I would easily use Ice Dam Guys again! Thanks!!

This is the first time ever I needed ice dams removed. They had a live person answer the phone on a Sunday morning. They arrived about 5 hours after I called. The person who came, Johnny Chandler, was enthusiastic, very respectful and listened, worked fast and got more done in the 3 hour minimum than I expected. As you know they are not cheap, but for me it was worth it.

First time we have had serious ice dams. When I called I was provided with detailed information regarding cost and scheduling. We scheduled for the next day and Johnny Chandler, our technician, arrived on schedule and discussed the work to be done. He then efficiently prepared his equipment and began the removal process. Johnny discussed progress with me several times as he worked.

Absolutely amazing! I called last Sunday and got a call back within a half hour. Water was coming through the soffit from the ice dam and there were multiple dams and frozen gutters. Johnny was here within a couple hours and worked until after dark. When he was done he cleaned everything up and even spread ice salt where it was very slippery. Johnny explained what he was doing in a way I could understand. He instilled confidence. Yes-It was expensive-it’s going to be. The leaking stopped and it was worth ever penny. Fast response and very professional. They explained pricing, process and what we wanted up front. They were able to be on site within two hours of us calling, and were able to get our roof cleared and everything cleaned up in front of our house. Everything was as quoted, and our peace of mind was restored. Highly recommend and hopefully never need again, but would call if we did need to use again.

I had an ice dam causing a worsening ceiling leak since 7am in early February.. When I figured out the cause and called Ice Dam Removal Guys, around 4-5 hours later, Paul came by to help. He surveyed the situation and explained what he will do as well as took pictures to send me before and after the job, in case I submit a claim for insurance. As soon as Paul finished melting the ice dam, the leaking stopped immediately. He explained what he thought the causes were. If I were to ever have another ice dam (which I hope won’t happen again), I will not hesitate to call the Ice Dam Removal Guys.

We had some particularly bad ice dams in our new house and had water coming inside. Called the Ice Dam Guys and they were able to get Alan out same day. He worked like an absolute beast in frigid temps to get the ice and snow off the room and save the inside of our living room. Alan (and the whole team) were professional, responsive and hardworking.

Paul did a professional job with removing our ice dam on our home near Cleveland, OH. He also provided expertise about what was contributing to the ice dam which helped me understand what later repairs to consider to the roof and insulation. Ice Dam Guys are a terrific group of people to deal with. I discovered an ice dam late on a Saturday morning. I had no clue what to do. A friend suggested Google how to remove an ice dam and several companies showed up. I called two that were local and no one awnsered. I left a message and did not receive a call back. After several hours of no response I called Ice Dam Guys. They answered and described what they do.
I live in southern Wisconsin and the ice dam occurred during a cold snap of below zero temps. I was surprised when they said they would be at my house on a Sunday at 11 a.m. Sure enough Brandon and from Ice Dam Guys was here. It was at least -10 that morning. Brandon did exactly what he said needed to be done and was very polite and professional.

We did not know what to do when a trickle of water began dripping down one of our walls. Frantic calls to the company that installed our roof and several family and friends did not help. We found Ice Dam guys and called.
Within a few minutes of making the call we had an appointment for a few hours later. We didn't think that was possible on a Saturday. Jake showed up exactly when he said he would, at about 4:00. He worked his tail off for four straight hours. Other than my yammering I don't think he stopped working once for the entire four hours.
The drip at first intensified, as we expected, then eventually stopped completely. By the time Jake was done at exactly 8:00 the drip was gone. It even snowed here a couple more times after that day and we did not have any more problems because Jake got rid of the dam that was the problem.
It was expensive, but it was exactly what we needed and exactly when we needed it. Also, I imagine we saved a good amount of money in necessary repairs by stopping it when we did. So in that regard it was not expensive.
I'm going to take steps to try to minimize any dams up there in the future, but let me say with certainty that if I have the bad luck of an ice dam again I will not hesitate to call Ice Dam Guys and hope we get Jake.

My technician Dave, was excellent. He made me feel very comfortable with him. He gave me updates on his progress throughout the process. He did an amazing job on one of the coldest days. I have recommended him and your company to some friends. This was a very scary situation, but Dave took the worry out of it. Thank you for hiring a really good guy who cares about his work.

I can't say too many good things about the Ice Dam Guys and my guy Tony. We had extensive ice dams on our roof that was causing some pretty serious interior damage. Tony worked nonstop a full Saturday and came back on Sunday to finish the job. Water intrusion was completely stopped because of his efforts. Damage would have been much worse but for Tony's efforts. If you have ice dams you should call the Ice Dam Guys. If Tony is assigned you can know that the job will get done right.

I had severe ice dams with water backing up under the 3 foot soffits forming icicles on my windows. I contacted ice dam guys and had Joe H out the next morning. He kept me updated throughout the entire process. I know he saved me from leaks inside that would have resulted in weeks of dry wall repair and kept my roof free from damage.

We had an ice dam that was leaking water into our office, and Tony P. was there within 24 hours of calling. Yes, they are expensive. But Tony could not have been more professional, and thorough in the work he did. Plus, he helped me diagnose what the issue was with our roof so I can work with our roofer to fix the problem.

I have used the Ice Dam Guys twice in the last couple of weeks and both times I have had really great service. The guys that showed up for the jobs were on time (if not early), super friendly, respectful and professional. They were very communicative throughout their time onsite keeping me up to date on how things were progressing. Would definitely hire again if I ever need the service in the future. The first job was handled by David Bowen + trainee Conner Beck and the second job was Brandon Johnson.

Very responsive to our call. Arrived within 24 hours and dealt with the problem area in sub zero weather. Was constantly kept up to date on the status of the removal. Zack and Daryl did a great job!

I called at noon and they were here that afternoon. I have a downspout missing (builder is a bum) and I haven't had time to put one in yet where he should have. The water had nowhere to go and an ice dam was forming and starting a big problem. Darrell and Nathaniel came out to my house in a suburb of Chicago and were amazing. Worked really hard in 7 degree weather for a couple of hours and cleared it all up. Nice guys, hard workers, professional and explained everything really well. Costs up front and honest. My technician Arfun took a very difficult situation and was able to complete the job despite numerous hurdles to overcome (equipment issues, low water pressure, extremely cold temperatures). He did what was needed to get the job done. Given these difficulties, Arfun was here for almost 5 hours, but still billed me for the 2 hour minimum (the job was expected to take 1-2 hours) due to the issues out of our control. The work was done professionally and completely, his demeanor was very friendly, he did a great job explaining what was going on and why he was doing what he was doing. He supplied a video from my roof showing me before and after pictures of his work. Overall, the Ice Dam Guys were very responsive and professional.

We had an ice issue on our roof that was creating a leak inside our home. I called Ice Dam Guys and was provided a detailed explanation of the service and cost. My technicians, Kole and Brennan, we're professional, polite and knowledgeable. They were effecient and were able to clear the ice from our steep roof within the time quoted.
