Roger did an awesome job replacing our door lock. Went the extra mile and fixed the actual door as well. All for an incredibly reasonable price. Could not recommend him more highly!

This is a gem of a small company characterized by fine workmanship, integrity and honesty, and very fair pricing. I needed someone to very quickly do work on a house to prepare it for listing and sale. Roger recognized that time was of the essence and worked weekends as well as week days to insure that the work was completed on time. He treated the house as if it were his own, and treated me like family. The work done was excellent and, as a result of his work, the house sold for more than expected. I would definitely use Practical Home Improvements again. If you have work to be done, hiring Roger will mean fine work at a fair price.

Originally we hired Roger to put up some towel bars, paint, install a ceiling fan, etc. Roger provided a written estimate. Very detailed and fair pricing.
He showed up on time, completed the projects as promised and even did a thorough clean up. . Afterwards, we did a walk through and he explained what he had completed.
There aren’t many professional people who do this now. Roger also always returns your phone calls.

Roger did an excellent job. He took his time and made sure everything was done exactly as was expected. He even went out of his way to repair a leak which took some investigation to uncover.
He cleaned up at the end of each day and made sure furniture was covered to limit dust getting into fabric.

Practical Home Improvements, LLC, and Roger by extension, did a fantastic job repairing my damaged ceiling. After a suspected roof leak damaged my ceiling, Roger came highly recommended. He doggedly investigated the area of the roof that he suspected was the cause of the leak, and determined that it wasn't a roof leak, but rather a gap that had formed between the roof and the exterior siding. He sealed the gap, then repaired the affected ceiling area and several other walls, at my request, that had failing joint tape, small cracks and nail pops. The quote that he provided was fair, the number of days quoted for repairs were kept, he began work each morning at 8 a.m., and at the end of each day, he cleaned the work area with a vacuum and dust mop. Practical Home Improvements, LLC, and Roger by extension, demonstrated that no detail was too small to address. Roger was meticulous with every aspect of the drywall repairs and subsequent painting. Practical Home Improvements, LLC is a first-rate company that demonstrates pride in workmanship.

Highly recommend! Roger painted my upstairs attic and did an amazing job. He was reliable, professional, kept the workspace very clean, and was very detailed oriented.

The roofers made a hole in my ceiling. Roger came out the same day to repair it and the following morning to complete the repair. It looks better than before. And this was just before the Holiday when everyone's busy. He could not have been kinder or more helpful.

Roger just removed my old deck and then replaced it from the ground up with a beautiful, in every way improved, new deck. Every board was replaced, including all the structural components, and it was built stronger than my previous deck, with more floor joists than before and a doubled up perimeter board. The schedule was kept, and the work was completed in the estimated time given to me before the project. I would recommend Roger for anything he is willing to tackle. I may be updating a bathroom soon, and if so, I will definitely be using Practical Home Improvements.

The quote was fair, the work was done on time, and Roger was very courteous and very respectful. I am very pleased with the custom work he did to make my new insulation fit properly in the floor of part of my older home as well as the banister he created for my basement stair. Home maintenance! I hate it. There is always something that needs fixing or upgrading. If I just had one person or company that I can call who I know will do the job right, I would not have to stress so much.

I'm tired of companies that put me in contact with companies I don't know that I am suppose to believe they know what they are doing, and then choose between them based on an estimate. I've had terrible luck with that.

Now I just call Roger for "practically" anything. I like everything about him, how he works, and the attention to detail he provides. He wants my business as much as I need his services. Try him, I think you will agree.

And if he can't do the work he'll find someone who can.
