This company inspected my house i was selling, for a buyer. I had moved but checked on my house every to every other day. It was his responsibility to report any damage or problems that happened while he was there. He was there on Saturday and I came on Monday. I put my garage door up and it was off the track and I could not get it down. In getting it down, my daughter was severely injured when cable snapped and spring hit her. If he had reported it to realtor , the garage door wouldn't have been touched till looked at, preventing further damage and injury. There were a few more small things but one door was left wide open, not unlocked, open. He said he thought the house was vacant. What a stupid statement! There is an owner to every house and houses are not left unattended for long. He endangered my home by leaving door open and caused danger and injury to my daughter by not reporting a dangerous malfunction.

I bought my first home in February and hired them to do the inspection. They reported that the roof was in tact and did not have any issues. Well, the first storm that I had since moving in, there were leaks in my kitchen and guest room. When I called a contractor to take a look at it, he informed me that the roof was in one of the worst conditions he’s ever seen. Stripped pieces of metal lapped over each other, three different sized screws on the metal, used FlexSeal to cover up the leaking areas, wrong sized boot for the vent and chimney. IT WAS A MESS. This issue could have been fixed if Porch Light Home Inspections did their job, but clearly that wasn’t the case and I (a new homeowner) just paid thousands of dollars to get the roof totally replaced. If you don’t want to be like me, find another inspector. I AM NOT HAPPY.
They were able to quickly fit me in and preform my home inspection. I received my report back in a timely manner. The report was very detailed and you could tell the inspector took pride in his field. If I ever purchase a home in the area I will definitely be using them again.
