I bought a truck from these guys a year ago and after I had bought it, I got home and noticed that the passenger side mirror was scuffed so that got me to look the vehicle over even harder and noticed that the bumper also had a scuff on it. I contacted my salesman, and he went on to blame it on the delivery operator but would take a look at it and see what they can do. I live 3.5 hours from this dealership but wanted it fixed, so I drove it back to them and they looked at it and seemed like they really didn’t care much about it but did agree to replace the mirror and fix the bumper (also they did pay for one trip in gas). Well, I had to return so they could replace the damaged items so another 7 hour roundtrip drive. When I went to look it over the mirror looked good then I went to look at the bumper and nothing was replaced then I happened to look underneath, and they added a front spoiler (air dam or valance) piece that didn’t even come with on this truck. So, I had to speak with them about this.
The service manager said that they weren’t sure on what part to order and ordered the wrong part but now know exactly what part to order and they can order it and replace it (another 7 hour round trip drive) or since I am so far away I could check with my local GMC service department to see if they could order it or have Dan Cava order it and send it to the closer service department. I did go into my closest service department, and they agreed to have it shipped from Dan Cava and they would install it. So, my guys here contacted Dan Cava and set it up. Well months had gone by and no response I contacted my guys and said they haven’t seen or heard from them but will reach out to Dan Cava again. Well, more months went by and nothing. My service guy had some serious health issues and wasn’t always in, so it made it a little harder and longer to get a response on what is going on.
I had my truck serviced and was able to talk to my guy and he told me he had reached out many times to Dan Cava but no response back from them. So, yep here it is a little over a year later and still have not had my bumper replaced! When I had the tires rotated the tire rubbed on the felt inside the wheel well from the bumper being pushed back from the so-called delivery truck so now I have to worry that something worse is going to happen. But what can I expect from a dealership that doesn’t care about the after-purchase service and the main manager who every time I had had to talk with him, I felt like I was getting drunk off the fumes he put off.
If you don’t care about having poor after-purchase service then by all means shop here but if you want good service after your purchase I would look elsewhere.

This is my first visit to Dan Cava. I recently moved to Bridgeport. My particular make and model of my vehicle, GMC Denali, had a recall. The gentleman patiently walked me through why the recall, the impact on my ability to drive my vehicle until there is a remedy, and what the dealership can do moving forward. The gentleman clearly knows his vehicles, including an application of a little bit of common sense... That was refreshing! I will be returning to continue having routine service on my Denali.

I am an old man and this is by far the worst service department I’ve ever experienced. From the very disrespectful Michael Oconor to the extremely unqualified electrician tech Mr. Reed. They had car a total of 6 days to fix the electrical problem of the seats not accepting new inputs and HUDs not working. The only thing they were fixated on was having both key fobs. I told them that’s not the problem, but that’s all they wanted to do!! I took to C Harper Cadillac and they fixed it less than an hour. The fix was so simple and needed no parts they told me how to do myself. I’m not going to get into what was done to all my personal setting or windshield crack. Let’s just say they like to retaliate against customers who do not like their incompetence. Stay away!!!

It took 3 hours for an oil change and tire rotation. I dropped the vehicle off and they told me they would call when complete. I never received a call. I called after 2 hours and they said it still was not complete. At the 3 hour mark I went back to location. My truck was done, keys in folder on desk, and my truck sitting in the lot. I had to wait for them to do whatever in the computer and then was taking to receptionist to pay. The receptionist and gentleman that checked me out were nice and polite. Communication within the department needs improvement in my opinion.

Had my truck for almost 2 weeks to replace transmission cooler lines. Kept extending out when it was going to be worked on. Was told to wash the transmission fluid off the paint the day after it was left there so it wouldn’t damage the paint and clear coat to which they said they would let them know and it did not get done. Truck was brought in 6-10-25 left out at 6-23-25 fluid on the paint the entire time. Little to no communication with the staff unless you called and asked. Would not recommend this dealership.

John Tiano is a very respectful salesman and made the buying process extremely pleasant. After 3 months of having the vehicle, a leak developed on the rear of the headliner. The truck was 2 years old at this time, which didn't make much sense to me. I called to have it repaired, which was scheduled promptly. After evaluation, I was told that the sealant was bad, and repairs would not be covered by the extra coverage I purchased at signing. I contacted Mr. Tiano and informed him, who helped tremendously. Upon pick-up, I noticed it had a fresh paint chip out of my door. Either people in the shop or the lot do not respect other people's property. Also, the workmanship of the new bead of sealant looks like it may have been someone's first time using a caulking gun. Be weary if you have this shop making repairs.

I’ve been on the hunt for a GMC sierra 1500 with the 5.3 (V8) engine or the 3.0 duramax new or used, for about 6 months now.. talking to people that I work with and people I would happen to come across that own one. After talking to people about their trucks and reading information about the 1500 I decided to start looking at Dan Cava recommended by two people that I had spoken about as to where they had purchased their trucks.

I started working with Blake test driving different trucks and inquiring about the engines and packages that are offered, as to which Blake had all of the answers ! I was unsure what I wanted to do buy new or used and what package I wanted in the truck but I knew after testing driving the trucks that I wanted a 3.0 duramax engine in my truck.

I spent time browsing at other dealerships, not receiving the best customer service.. trying to push me into something I was not interested in or trying to up sell or down sell me on something else I knew I didn’t want.

3 months passed I was looking at different dealers websites seeing what they had in their inventory that would catch my eye. I happened to see that Dan Cava just took inventory of a 2025 sierra 1500 duramax elevation package. As soon as I had seen it I remembered the great customer service I had received by them.

I decided to reach out and started to communicate with the Dan Cava team on looking at the truck to test drive as well as ask some questions I had. John was extremely helpful with getting me get the best trade-in value of my previous vehicle. Shawn helped me with the financing of the truck, explaining the warranties available for my new truck. He also showed me an example how everything added up to get the monthly payment. Blake helped with the rest showing me to the truck I was buying and helped with setting the truck up and explaining everything the truck offered, internal and external!

After the purchase of my 2025 Sierra 1500 Duramax, the following day was the time to put it to the test as my wife and I were traveling 3 1/2 hours drive to Ohio to visit family 500 miles round trip. The ride was exceptionally smooth and the power I wanted was there just tapping the gas pedal and the truck just taking off.

Most surprisingly the rumor everybody told me about was the mpg I would get 30 plus. We averaged 33.5 mpg cruising between 65 and 70 mph, I was SHOCKED!

I will be referring friends and family that would be interested in purchasing a GMC to make the trip to Dan Cava the people there and the experience i had was amazing simple, easy and fast.

Only problem is the last 3 visits, counting today, I could not get a printed copy of my multi point inspection. However today I went to see Bill Julian, explained this recurring problem, and he got it handled! I waited maybe 10 minutes and was handed my printed copy. Not exactly sure where the problem is but it needs permanently addressed

I live in NC. This was the easiest out of state transaction I have ever done. Blake and the whole team did an excellent job in all aspects of the transaction. I would definitely purchase from Dan Cava GMC again.

I took our truck in for recalls to be performed. Truck was there all day and the recall it was actually there for they had to order the parts for. Only a few of the recalls were performed. Did not want to work with me on warranty issues said I needed to take it to the dealership I purchased it from and did not return my follow up calls during the duration of the day.

Lost my key for locking lug nuts on one trip.Then didn’t help me out with cost of replacing key. Had a flat tire with screw in tire 1 day after being in shop on another visit. Sent me a coupon in mail for oil change then tried to say it wouldn’t work for my truck they sent me the coupon in the mail. My son had his truck in shop few months back and amazingly they lost his key for locking lug nuts. Wouldn’t recommend taking vehicle here.

Our truck threw a code while we were on an 8 hour drive. We were lucky to find this dealership. While we weren't able to get the main issue fixed, they cleared the code and we were able to get back on the road. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the service manager was incredibly knowledgeable. We really appreciated it!!
