Pitts Lawn & Tree Service

Absolutely do not recommend this business to anyone, mostly due to their terrible customer service and attitude problems all around. We used Pitts for our snow removal at my place of work. There were a few occasions where they had plowed early in the morning, but had not completed the work or placed ice melt in our parking lot. They would also not show up until after 12 PM most days following a snow which is 4 hours after we open for business, subjecting our customers to falling on ice, getting their cars stuck, or getting into an accident. On the few occasions we reached out to them to come either finish plowing, start plowing, or putting ice melt down, they were INCREDIBLY rude. We were told one specific time that he (I assume the owner) couldn’t make snow plows fall from the sky and then hung up on my boss, who was being highly professional. I have attached a photo below showing our termination of our snow contract and the owner’s response.

Update: The response from the company has been updated to say something about money. My review comes from personal experience with poor customer service and overall rudeness. Money was never an issue, the services rendered and charged versus what the contract stated were different which is where the original problem began. It turmoiled into the rudeness myself and others received.

I continue to use Pitts Lawn and Tree Service for my mowing. Today my house was being appraised and the gentleman complimented me on how nice my lawn looks. Many thanks to Brandon Pitts and his mowing crews!

This company does outstanding work. There crew did a phenomenal job on the lawn and their staff was very professional. While speaking with one of their employees I learned that the owner of the company takes good care of his employees and for that reason I recommend giving them a chance for your lawn or tree needs.

My husband and I hired Pitts to do a full tree trim. Brandon gave us a quote which included a portion of our fence to be removed in order to get the truck in our backyard.

I sent an email stating we would like to hire them to do the work which went unanswered for about a week or two so I called them. Somebody picked up when we called and we got on the schedule officially. They said we would get a call before coming out but we never got that call, just one saying the team was going to be there in about 30 minutes. Not ideal but ok. During that initial phone call, we made sure to reiterate that a portion of the fence needed to come out in order to get to half of the tree, the team lead said that wasn't a big deal and that they do it all the time.

The team lead got here and then waited for the remainder of the team to get there with the bigger truck. While they were working, about 3 guys were actively working while the remainder of the team went around to different neighbors asking if they need work done. Around noon, the team left our house for about an hour and a half then came back to finish up the work which is when things started to go downhill. Once they got back, two guys were working on our tree while the rest went to our neighbors' to take down her tree. I figured this was normal since they didn't have the fence down yet so I just thought they would get what they could while waiting for the fence to come down and get the truck moved around. There were a couple branches that got cutoff while using the big truck but got stuck in other branches anyways. They started using a padlock tied around a rope to toss onto this branch to then pull it down. Once they finally got the dead branch off, the team lead knocked on my door saying they were finished with our tree. At that time, we noticed that half of the tree wasn't done so we asked if they were going to finish it today and we got the answer of "No, we just spent over an hour on that one branch alone". At this time, it was around 5pm on a Friday so we were just thinking they were done for the day so we paid them assuming that they would come back and finish the work. The team then left our house (and our neighbors) so we were able to go about our plans for the night but half an hour later, the team came back and parked in our driveway again (our cameras caught this). Only this time, they came back and proceeded to work on our neighbors' tree for the next 4 hours.

So, the following week, we were going to call them on Monday to check in on when they were going to finish our tree. Unfortunately for us, the Verizon service was down that day so we couldn't call, however, we saw them back in the neighborhood and thought they would come back to our house. A couple days later, they were no longer in our neighborhood and hadnt come back yet so we called the office to check in. Nobody answered so we left a voicemail and sent a follow-up email as well in case that was easier for response. Both of those went unanswered for a couple of days so we called back again. Brandon answered and we explained the situation to which his response was "We will get you back on the schedule, I'll let you know what day". He then texted my husband saying that we were on the schedule for that following Friday. Friday comes along and by about noon, we still hadn't heard anything from them so we call again. The receptionist answered and told us that we weren't on the schedule so she needed to call Brandon but she would call us back. Two hours go by and we still hadn't heard back from her so we called yet again. She then proceeded to blame us for being the reason the tree didn't get done right in the first place but said we would get worked into the schedule while they're in the area the following week. It has now been 2 weeks since then and we still don't have our tree trimmed fully, we have called at least 2 other times to check in and they haven't answered us. We have also tried asking for half of our money back since they've only done half of the tree but they're refusing to do that too.

Brandon and his crew did a great job with removing a tree from our front yard that had died. They were very prompt, professional, and cleaned up beyond my expectations.

Brandon did an awesome job removing a tree from one of my clients properties. Responsive and helped us out in a pinch with professionalism and care. Will be calling Brandon with Pitts again in the future and would recommend to anyone looking for tree service!

I've used Pitts' services twice now and it's always been amazing. It is rare to find that level of quality work for such a low price point. A neighbor recently got tree work done from a different company and the difference is like night and day. The Pitts crew took down a much larger tree near power lines in a quarter of the time it took that other company. The clean up afterwards was also top notch. Absolutely incredible work.

I hired Pitts Lawn service to mow my yard every Tuesday. Last week was the first week and the crew showed up with a mower that would not fit through my gate. They left before talking to me and I had to call and have them come back. They only ended up mowing and weed eating the front and also did weed eating on the inside of my fence then they left. They did not weed eat the outside of the fence or mow on the outside of the fence. Then today, which is Tuesday, they did NOT show up, NO call, NO nothing and the weather is beautiful. I would not have been too upset if they would have just called to let me know they wouldn’t make it today. Instead I was told that the “boss” likes to spice things up and will change days on customers for no reason other than “he mows when he wants.” VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I would not recommend Pitts Lawn Service to anyone.

Had a very large tree fall on my house. I hire Pitts and Brandon was very professional and Johnny on the spot. Was pricey but well worth it.

Had a large tree removed and honestly I wasn’t gonna hire them but they did amazing job. Brandon made sure I was happy thru the whole process. I happy I tried their service.

Pitts did a GREAT job on such short notice. We went into work and realized that our parking lot didn't get plowed by our previous company. We called Pitts, spoke to Brandon, and they were able to fit us in their busy schedule and got it cleared for us later in the morning. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend!

They are great! I needed wood chips for my yard and chicken run and they dropped off a truckload. Saved me time and money also it was very convenient.

Showed up to mow but had to email several times to complete any of the tasks also indicated in our contract. No treatments were ever done to the lawns although it was agreed upon from the beginning. When I brought it to his attention the third time this month that they did not complete fall spraying he said a phone call would have been nice and that no services are guaranteed. I don't typically make it a habit to have to remind a vendor to do their job but if you use them you can guarantee that will be on you. One broken window and several AC lines damaged causing freon leaks or electrical wiring needing to be fixed.

He seems to think that just because he ignores your emails he has the right to charge you for services you never asked for.

Terrible communicator. I gave Brandon two week's notice that I no longer needed service. He continued to send his crew to cut the lawn even though I was no longer even a resident at that address and had clearly told him to not mow.

Then he sends me a bill for services after the date I had already canceled on. I told him I wouldn't pay because I clearly canceled with him. He says "ok, I'll get you off the schedule as of today." He clearly didn't get the message: I told him to cancel more than a month ago, not today.

Then his automated billing system sends me another message. I message him again to tell him that I had already canceled well before the services he's now charging me for. He says that my initial cancelation message went to his spam folder. Well that's interesting: he's never ignored my messages when I was asking him to do a job (i.e., giving him business) but somehow it's spam when I'm canceling service. He says that I should have called the office. I've never communicated with him via phone because he's never picked up the phone.

I told him I'm refusing to pay because he's charging me for services I never asked for (meaning that I had canceled before the services charged for occurred). He then threatens me with a mechanic's lien. He can go ahead and file a fraudulent one, I suppose.

Add to all of this the fact that he's sent me bills for things I've paid for over and over again. I've had to send him check images for checks of mine he's already cashed just to prove that.

The mowing service itself is great. He's just a terrible communicator and refuses to take responsibility for his own inability to read his own email. Again, I've tried calling them but email is the only way I've ever managed to communicate with this guy.

I phoned Pitts Lawn & Tree Service to get an estimate on having two trees trimmed this coming Fall. The owner (Brandon) arrived on time on the date we’d set for the appointment, gave me an estimate that was much lower than I’d anticipated and, when I said I needed the estimate in writing, said he’d “send it right out”. That was May 3rd. It’s mid-September now, and I haven’t received anything in writing yet. I've hired someone else.

Pitts Tree Service did a awesome job! We had four trees removed from around our house and the guys did a careful job in cutting them down. Clean up was very good and they made sure the yard looked the same as it was before they came. I will definitely have Pitts back to cut or trim my trees! A+

Pitts Tree Service took out a dead ash for me today that had been growing up through the roof of my gazebo, and they did a great job! They left the stump perfectly level at the floor, so that I can put a flower pot on it, which I greatly appreciated. I got 3 quotes for the job, and theirs was the lowest, and I definitely recommend them to anybody that needs tree removal. Their employees were also polite and friendly.

These guys showed up short handed and still got 2 trees down and one stump ground in a couple hours. Very fast but done right. Communication was excellent. Couldn’t have asked for better honestly. They will be my tree people from now on. Don’t hesitate to have them do work for you. You won’t be disappointed.

Does great work and even has a girl running a crew for him! Hard to find ppl that would let women run a crew of men and his service is fast and efficient! Thank you and we’ll be using your business again!

We have had a tree removed and at a later date the stump removed. For both services the crews were friendly polite and professional. These folks are awesome and if I have needs in the future I will call again.

These folks came and mowed and trimmed our lawn when I could not anymore. I highly recommend them! Very professional, great work, always on time and very easy to work with.

Professional and quick! The guys were very hospitable and kind, the owner and his crew went out of their way to make sure we felt safe, and my property was taken care of before, during, and after the tree removals. They even came back to finish sweeping/leveling the yard where the tree was, and cleaned up the debris on my deck!

Snow removal in a quickness! I was stuck one morning called Pitts and within the hour his crew showed up and took care of my driveway so i could get on my way to work, one of his employees even told me to enjoy the rest of the day. Very friendly employees and A+ service.

Pitts Lawn & Tree Service did an awesome job of removing our ash tree. It was a very large tree and the crew had to work around 2 other trees nearby. The other 2 trees were not damaged at all as they took great care. The crew did the job of taking down the tree and removing the stump in less than a day and a half. They cleaned up everything and filled in the removed stump area with dirt. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend them. Thank you to your great team of workers!

From quote to removal this company does an amazing job brandon in the office is very responsive and knowledgeable. When Jeff’s crew arrived, Jeff made sure that any questions or concerns were addressed before the work started. Before I knew it the tree was gone and the yard was cleaned. I would highly recommend using Pitts tree service. The trimming and tree removal they did for us was fantastic. Stumps were removed and they backfilled with top soil so I can place grass seed there. Jeff and his crew did a great job!

I called Pitt's Tree Service, Brandon came out, gave me a very reasonable price. The guys that came out did a totally awesome job AND cleaned up the yard better than it was before they got there........they were great, we will definitely be calling them again for any tree needs. Jeff and his crew with Pitt's Lawn and Tree Service came to remove a large Box Elder tree, prune our two apple trees, remove a stump, and cut back a line of trees that border our lawn. They had a fantastic crew that arrived early and did a great job. They did everything I asked them too and more! My neighbor even commented on what a great job they did of cleaning up after themselves. The price was very reasonable, and less than other companies had quoted. We will most definitely use Pitts again!

My mom hired Pitt’s to remove a large tree from her backyard that was next to the fence. Having heard negative comments about them on social media I was skeptic. They were a no-show (thus 4-stars) for the first date, but on time when it was rescheduled. They took the tree down while she was gone and when she returned at the end of the day, the tree was down and all the waste hauled away. However there was damage to a section of her fence. Before she could call them the next morning, they sent a contractor over to look at the damage. He collected information on the fence and ordered the pieces.The fence is now fixed and Pitt’s took care of all of it, my mom didn’t have to do anything. Overall she is very happy with the service she received.

Jeff and his crew did a fantastic job trimming our honey locust that had some dangling branches. They were quick to respond, cleaned up the whole area after they left, and the bill was a lot less than we expected. Thanks guys!

Jeff and his crew did an amazing job on 3 giant trees in my yard. Best price out there and fid sn amazing job cleaning up after the job was done. Another thing that was huge for me was that the didnt tear up the yard while removing the large pieces with the bobcat. Definately recommend. Took down 3 60 foot trees in one day very impressive.

Contacted Brandon right before we left town with a major winter storm on our heels and asked if they moved snow. Brandon responded very quickly. When we returned home after the storm, our driveway was cleared as promised!
